Application effect of psychological counseling intervention based on WeChat platform in chemotherapy of gastrointestinal tumors with completely implanted venous infusion ports.

This study's objective was to observe the application effect of psychological counseling intervention based on the WeChat platform for patients with gastrointestinal tumors undergoing chemotherapy with completely implanted venous infusion ports. From October 2022 to December 2023, 110 patients with gastrointestinal tumors undergoing chemotherapy with completely implanted venous infusion ports were selected from our hospital. Patients were divided into 2 groups according to the different types of care. The control group received routine psychological counseling intervention, while the WeChat group received psychological counseling intervention based on the WeChat platform in addition to the routine intervention provided to the control group. A comparison was made between the 2 groups in terms of adverse events, compliance, hope level scores, and changes in coping strategy scores. The WeChat group experienced 7 adverse events, with an occurrence rate of 12.73%, while the control group experienced 17 adverse events, with an occurrence rate of 30.91%. The occurrence rate of adverse events in the WeChat group was significantly lower than that in the control group, showing a statistically significant difference (P < .05). The hope level scores before intervention in the 2 groups were compared (P > .05). Compared to before intervention, both groups showed an increase in scores for life attitude, proactive behavior, intimate relationships, and total scores. The WeChat group had higher scores after intervention compared to the control group (P < .05). The coping strategy scores before intervention in the 2 groups were compared (P > .05). Compared to before intervention, both groups showed an increase in facing scores and a decrease in avoidance and resignation scores (P < .05). After intervention, the WeChat group had higher facing scores and lower avoidance and resignation scores compared to the control group (P < .05). The overall chemotherapy compliance in the WeChat group was higher than that in the control group (P < .05). Psychological counseling intervention based on the WeChat platform can improve the level of hope, promote patients to face the disease with a positive attitude, increase chemotherapy compliance, and reduce the occurrence of adverse events in patients with gastrointestinal tumors undergoing chemotherapy with completely implanted venous infusion ports.

A Study on the Life Attitudes, Fear of Death, and Dying Care Abilities of Nursing Assistants in Long-Term Care Institutions

End-of-life care in long-term care institutions is increasingly important. Nursing assistants are the primary care workforce, and their end-of-life care capabilities affect the quality of care provided to residents as well as residents' physical and mental health. This study was designed to explore the life attitudes, fear of death status, end-of-life care abilities and experience, and coping styles of nursing assistants in long-term care institutions in the eastern region and the effects of these variables on care. A cross-sectional, mixed-methods research design was used. The study included 165 nursing assistants working in long-term care facilities in Taitung and Hualien counties. The study questionnaire included items covering life attitudes, fear of death, and dying care abilities. In addition, in-depth interviews were conducted with 12 of the participants. Most of the participants held positive attitudes toward life and reported having a low to moderate fear of death. A significant and positive correlation between life attitude and dying care ability was identified (r = .426, p < .001). Although average ability to provide physical care to residents at end of life was found to be relatively good, ability to provide emotional support and allow residents to express their emotions was generally poor. The scales of fear of death, life attitude toward love and care, ideals, and high school education were identified as significant predictors of dying care ability, together explaining 22.8% of the variance. The interview results were summarized into five major themes that also echoed the quantitative results. Attitudes toward life and fear of death partially were shown to influence the dying care ability of the nursing assistants in this study. Dying care skills should be strengthened in nursing assistants, and they should be encouraged to explore the meanings of life and death through on-the-job education. Also, long-term care institutions should show concern for and support their nursing assistants by sponsoring case discussions, care experience sharing sessions, and support groups.

Medium-term forecast of the dynamics of life attitudes of Russians

The article presents a method for forecasting trends in changes in mass consciousness in terms of life attitudes, i.e. those values according to which people try to build their lives. Modern applied sociology successfully uses the forecast of electoral and consumer behaviour of citizens. The time lag of forecast reliability: for electoral behaviour - 4-5 weeks, for consumer behaviour - up to a year. Forecasting for 10-20 years is practiced mainly in demography. It is more difficult to forecast changes in mass consciousness based on value attitudes of citizens. If we assume that the development of the state is evolutionary, then the combination of heuristic and mathematical methods allows us to forecast trends in the attitudes of the population aged 40 and older, as basic for the economic and political functioning of the state. In methodological terms, the article proposes a procedure for forecasting trends only, without claiming high accuracy of numerical indicators, with mandatory consideration of weak variability of basic numerical indicators measured as of 2024. To forecast trends, there were used data from an all-Russian representative sociological study, accumulated in integral indices, as well as in verbal constructs using factor analysis. The combination of these methods allowed to make a generally stable 20-year forecast of trends in changes in the life attitudes of Russians. As a tool for a detailed forecast indices as integrated indicators of the intensity and direction of a trend were used, and for a generalised forecast - verbal constructs formed on the basis of factor analysis. The choice of the subject of the forecast is based on the hypothesis that the &amp;amp;quot;catalyst&amp;amp;quot; of life attitudes are three components of life activity: the life trajectory chosen by the individual, including the preferred types of life activity; the identification of the individual with reference groups as a contact environment, a mechanism of value communication and self-realisation; the choice of forms of social behaviour by the individual based on the basic moral principles of people's life activity. These three aspects of the population's life activity are not only socially (phylogenetically), but also to a large extent biologically (ontogenetically) determined, therefore they are highly stable, that allows us to talk about the stability of the medium-term forecast of trends in the interval of up to 20 years. Thus, the article proposes the tested in an applied sociological study combined method of medium-term forecast of social groups' attitudes in a situation where repeated studies are not conducted to build a dynamic series of empirical indicators. The forecast presented in the article operates with indicators that are important for consideration in the practice of medium-term planning of the state’s social policy.

Quality of life and health behaviors of patients diagnosed with cardiovascular disease

Background: Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death, both in Poland and worldwide, significantly impacting patients' quality of life. Health behaviors, whether positive or negative, play a crucial role in influencing the incidence of cardiovascular diseases. This study aims to analyze the correlation between health behaviors and the quality of life among patients with cardiovascular diseases. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted among 120 patients (116 eligible) at the Independent Public Provincial Hospital in Poland. Standardized tools including the Health-Related Behavior Inventory (HBI) questionnaire developed by Zygfryd Juczyński, the WHOQOL-BREF Questionnaire, and an original questionnaire with metric data were employed for diagnostic survey. Statistical analysis was performed using the Statistica 10.0 program, with a significance level set at p ≤ 0.05. Results: The respondents' average HBI score was 5.09, while the average overall quality of life score was 3.42, and the average overall health score in the study group was 3.07. Statistically significant correlations were observed between health practices and the assessment of general health, the general index of health behaviors and the level of quality of life in the physical domain, as well as positive mental attitude and quality of life in the psychological domain. Lower quality of life and poorer health status among patients with cardiovascular diseases were associated with increased preventive behaviors and intensified health practices. Conclusions: Despite having a good quality of life on average, individuals with cardiovascular diseases demonstrated moderate health behavior scores. The coexistence of lower quality of life and poorer health status with intensified preventive activities and health behaviors suggests a need for support in mental functioning, as well as adequate education and motivation regarding diet and eating habits. Moreover, it's essential to utilize appropriate techniques to motivate patients to adopt healthier behaviors.

The paper investigates meditation as a state of consciousness that isolates an individual from the attitude of everyday life and the perspective of practical actions. It is an “ethnography of the mind” instead of the place. The paper analyses self-reports from meditators’ self-observations as part of hatha yoga practice and data from semi-structured interviews with hatha yoga teachers. Elements that distract or help people meditate were analysed and interpreted. The features of the meditative state during the practice of sitting meditation are also reconstructed. Attention is paid to three essential aspects that are related to each other when entering the meditative state: emerging thoughts, body sensations, and emotions. The analysis focuses on how practitioners deal with these obstacles; what tactics do they employ to eliminate barriers or redirect attention and include them in the background of the concentration point? What is the role of teaching meditation? What are the effects of meditation from a practitioner’s point of view? Empirical materials obtained from the first-person perspective of the researcher, the author of this article, and his collaborators in the study were also analysed.

As a cultural critique for morality, this article attempts a meta-criticism for morality from the ‘theoretical level’ and at the same time seeks an alternative attitude of life from the ‘realistic level’. This article, with the motto of ‘negative ethics’, examines in turn the theories of Nietzsche, Luhmann, and Moeller as master of critics for morality. Nietzsche and Luhmann’s reputation as critics for morality is overwhelming. Nietzsche’s criticism is unparalleled in strength and subversive. His theory that exposed ‘the will to power’ of morality through ‘slavery morality’ can be said to be a classical model of critique for morality. Sociologist Luhmann has his unique precise systematic guidance and bird’s eye view of the functionally differentiated modern society, and in this process, he ‘critically’ meets morality. He criticizes morality that as the moral code of ‘respect/ignorance’ spreads, many humans are measured in a holistic way, which becomes the spark for many conflicts. Moeller advocates an ‘amoral’ position that is detached from morality and the so-called ‘moral fool’ based on it. After systematically reviewing these scholars’ criticism, I synthesize them and suggest my own alternatives.

INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECT OF AN ONLINE YOGA-BASED EXERCISE PROGRAM ON WOMEN WITH PRIMARY DYSMENORRHEA: A RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRIAL

Purpose: It was aimed to investigate the effects of telerehabilitation method and online yoga-based exercise program on pain, menstrual attitude, body awareness and quality of life in women with primary dysmenorrhea (PD). Methods: This study is an experimental randomized controlled single-blind study. Fifty women (25 in the intervention group, and 25 in the control group) between the ages of 18-35 were included in the study. At the beginning of the study, both groups were given informational training on PD and treatment methods. In addition to informational training, an online yoga-based exercise program was applied individually to the intervention group, twice a week for 8 weeks, for a total of 16 sessions. Visual analog scale (VAS), menstrual attitude scale (MAS), body awareness questionnaire (BAQ), short form-36 (SF-36), and satisfaction questionnaire were used for data collection. Reliability, validity, and sensitivity of the Chinese Life Attitude Self-rating Questionnaire for Breast Cancer.

Psychometrics of the Chinese Life Attitude Self-rating Questionnaire for Breast Cancer (LASQ-BC) has not yet been conducted in a larger sample of women with breast cancer. This study aimed to examine the reliability, validity, and sensitivity of the LASQ-BC in Chinese mainland female breast cancer patients. This is a cross-sectional study. Reliability was determined by Cronbach's α and Guttman split-half coefficient. Convergent and discriminant validity were evaluated via item-subscale and item-total score correlations. Factorial validity was estimated using a principal component analysis with varimax rotation. Sensitivity was identified via Cohen's effect size (ES) and an independent sample t-test between the new and recurrent cases. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to further examine sensitivity of the LASQ-BC under the influence of newly diagnosed breast cancer (yes vs. no). A total of 429 patients completed the questionnaire. Cronbach's α of the LASQ-BC was 0.96, ranging from 0.86 to 0.92 for the four subscales (i.e., choice and responsibility, life meaning, benevolence, and life experiences). The Guttman split-half coefficient was 0.90. The hypothesised item-subscale and item-total score correlations were higher than the critical value of 0.50. Four factors were extracted from the 23 items, explaining 69.29% of the total variance. Eligible ES (range: 0.38-0.48) was found in the four subscales and total score between the new and recurrent cases (independent sample t-test), and under the influence of newly diagnosed breast cancer (yes vs. no; multiple linear regression analysis). The Chinese LASQ-BC has acceptable reliability, validity, and sensitivity in women with breast cancer of mainland China. It can be used to female breast cancer patients as an invaluable metric and a crucial instrument for assessing and discerning those grappling with a suboptimal life attitude, and in gauging the efficacy of psychological interventions tailored to enhance this perspective.

Employees’ Attitudes toward Life and their Happiness at Work: Examining Government Organizations in the UAE

Although there is a wealth of happiness literature from both Western and Eastern experiences and perspectives, research on happiness in the workplace especially within the Arab region and high-context cultures—is limited. This study is an attempt to encourage happiness research in workplaces in the Middle East. Focusing on government organizations in the United Arab Emirates, this study aims to influence government organizations’ strategy planning and implementation regarding long-term impact on happiness levels. In particular, this study investigates how government organization employees’ personal attitudes toward life affect their feelings toward work. The research employed a quantitative analysis (questionnaire), thereby providing a detailed analysis of questionnaire responses across four government organizations at the functional level. Data were collected from 140 employees in four government organizations in the UAE over a period of four months. By performing data analysis using a quantitative tool to recognize the gaps between attitudes toward life and happiness levels at work in a high-context culture, this study makes recommendations to increase happiness levels across organizations in the long run. The study results reveal that participant employees largely exhibited a positive life outlook, which can be attributed to the UAE’s HC culture. Social life in the UAE is always active, with numerous family gatherings and social occasions, which can be considered a source of happiness. This study’s findings emphasize the necessity of correlating how individuals’ life attitudes positively or negatively influence their happiness levels at work.

This research method is to determine the current social condition of society, whether society tends to have an inclusive attitude or an exclusive attitude in social life. The object of this research is the community, the number of participants involved was 53 people. The form of data in this research is the results of a questionnaire. Solusi Al-Qur’an terhadap Fenomena FoMO (Fear of Missing Out)

This research aims to offer a preventive solution to Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) syndrome, which is a syndrome of anxiety caused by the perception that other people have more satisfying experiences than oneself. The fundamental factor triggering the onset of this syndrome is the low level of life satisfaction in a person, which is further exacerbated by the temptation of other people's enjoyment of life on social media. In this case, the researcher examines two verses of the Qur'an, namely Q.S Ibrāhim: 7 and Q.S al-Hājj: 36 to explore and find solutions to the FoMO phenomenon from the Qur'anic perspective. The research method in this article is a literature study that seeks to study and understand theories from various written literature related to the research topic. The results showed that Q.S Ibrāhim : 7 and Q.S al-Hājj : 36 can be an antidote solution to the FoMO phenomenon. These two verses contain the essence of two noble life attitudes, namely gratitude and qana'ah, which are very appropriate to fight the triggering factor of FoMO in the form of low levels of life satisfaction.

The Role of Higher Education in Building Religious Tolerance: A Study on the Implementation of Moderation Attitudes among PTKIN Aceh Students

Fostering an attitude of religious moderation among students can be achievable when all stakeholders collaborate to create a cohesive understanding of moderation. This study examines the role of universities in promoting religious moderation among students at PTKIN Aceh. Utilizing a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), and observations. Interviews involved academics focused on religious moderation at PTKIN, while FGDs included students from five state Islamic universities in Aceh, selected purposively to provide insights on students' attitudes and views on religious moderation. Observations were conducted to assess students' attitudes and behaviors. The findings reveal that students exhibit moderate attitudes in daily life, are willing to collaborate socially, and respect others' rights and obligations in worship. Challenges in instilling religious moderation values include the need for acceptance of the term within the context of local wisdom and avoiding the perception of moderation as a new religious project. Solutions involve preparing a curriculum based on Islamic tolerance and strengthening the role of religious moderation houses to promote Islamic washatiyah values among students, facilitating easier understanding and implementation in daily life.

Introduction. This paper is devoted to identifying the role of family and children in the value system of Kaliningrad university students. This aspect is important both in connection with the current demographic situation, as well as with the decision to declare 2024 the Year of the Family in Russia.Materials and methods. In 2023, a survey was conducted among students of Kaliningrad universities, which was attended by 241 people aged 18-24 years. The questionnaire consisted of six “open” questions. Students were asked to give their own definition of the concept of “values”; to name the most significant values; to describe the ideal family model; to determine the role of children in general and in their own life strategies; to explain the reasons for wanting or not wanting to have children. This type of survey was designated as an express interview. The methodological basis of the study was the concept of demographic well-being, according to which demographic processes must be considered simultaneously at the macro and micro levels. In this research, the focus was on the micro level.Results. The study revealed that the majority of respondents perceive values as basic attitudes that define a person’s life, are expressed in spiritual and material things and are passed on to the next generations. The most important values are recognized as family, friendship, money, love, freedom and health. Talking about the ideal family, the survey participants described the relationships they would like to see in the family. Only a few people consider the ideal families in which they grew up and live. The majority of respondents intend to have children in the future, although some make a reservation that there must be appropriate conditions for this. At the same time, a significant proportion of young people were identified who expressed a fundamental reluctance to have children.Discussion. Based on the conducted research, it was revealed that the family is the most significant category in the students’ value system. The ideal is a complete family without financial problems, whose members live in an environment of mutual understanding, support and love. For most respondents, children seem to be a necessary part of the family. Some survey participants expressed unwillingness to perform parental functions. The conducted research has demonstrated the importance of analyzing demographic processes at the micro level, that is, from a human perspective, taking into account his values and life attitudes.

Research of personal maturity allows to determine the resources of professional responsibility in the development of the doctor’s competencies, which is especially important during the period of adaptation to the new conditions of learning in the first year. Mature person due to developed qualities achieves better results in a short time and effectively interacts with other people. Purpose of the study is to determine the indicators of personal maturity of students enrolled in the first year in 2023. Materials and methods. The Department of General Medical Practice conducted a survey of students enrolled in the first year in 2023. Total 396 persons: 313 women and 83 men. The average age of the respondents was 18,18±1,71 years. The study used the Hilbuch method to assess the level of personal maturity in general and its components. Results. The high level of unsatisfactory indicators of both personal maturity in general and its components was revealed, among which the worst results were noted when assessing the relationship of freshmen to their «I» (74.8% to 63.9% for females and males respectively). The medians of most indicators were not satisfactory. There are no statistically significant differences by sex, but the median sense of relationship to his «I» was significant among female respondents. Findings. The low level of personal maturity of students was revealed with no motivation and undetermined life attitudes in the absence of the ability to psychological intimacy with other people, which can become a psychological barrier to the development of professional competencies and communication in medical professions. Components of personal maturity, sense of civic responsibility and «I»-concept must be formed at the initial stage of learning, using all the possibilities of educational work and psychological support for freshmen.

Creativity as a means of shaping human subjectivity according to Wiesław Karolak

The aim of this article is to present creativity as a means of shaping human subjectivity based on the art therapy practice of Wiesław Karolak. The author identifies art therapy with therapy through creativity (resp. artistic expression). Its basis is the belief in the creative nature of man. Creativity is a universal feature that constitutes every human being, therefore it is not reserved exclusively for artists. However, modern scientific and technological civilization, as well as consumerism, do not encourage creative attitudes in everyday life. Man has two ways of functioning to choose from - automatic implementation of imposed patterns of existence or conscious living of life involving independent setting of goals. In order to become a subject, that is, the source of one's actions, it is necessary to actualize the creative nature, including the dispositions responsible for creation. The program titled "Creativity supporting development", co-authored by W. Karolak, is undoubtedly helpful in this process. The author implements its assumptions during art therapy workshops, the aim of which is to form human subjectivity. He assigns a special role to expression in the field of visual arts due to his own artistic education. He often uses drawing, which he equates with thinking. By taking up creative activity - by drawing, workshop participants become aware of what was previously incomprehensible to them, and gain insight into their own emotions, which ultimately leads to self-knowledge. By discovering their own creativity in the field of art, they want to use it in their everyday experience. In this way, they transform into a conscious entity that responsibly manages its own life according to the knowledge acquired through creative exploration. Artistic expression activates creative attitudes whose distinguishing feature is "novelty". Hence, human subjectivity is expressed in productive thinking as defined by Otto Selz, which acquires a creative character in a specific social context. Pancasila and ethics are intertwined because they both teach positive values. Pancasila ethics are based on Pancasila values, such as divinity, humanity, unity, populism, and justice. From these values, the Pancasila ethical system emerged which serves as a guideline for individual behavior in social life in Indonesia. The Pancasila ethical system continues to be developed in its implementation, so that every step and effort of the Indonesian people in achieving common goals can be directed correctly. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature study methods or literature research. This research focuses on written works, including research results that have been published. The main source of data for this article is the results of research published through google scholar. Data collection is carried out using the keywords "Pancasila" and "ethical system". Data analysis was carried out qualitatively with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The findings of this research are that the application of Pancasila as an ethical system is moral guidance that can be actualized into concrete actions, involving various aspects of life. Pancasila as a state ethical system also needs to be applied as the foundation of morality and state integrity that is hidden in every individual citizen so that he can master spiritual and mental attitudes in community life. Critical-analytical studies are also needed to find out if the element of subjectivity is fanatical and avoidable

Designing a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) Model on Multiculturalism in History

The purpose of writing this article is to design a multiculturalism approach to teaching history; analyze opportunities and challenges regarding teaching history through a multicultural lens; and prepare a project-based learning model design with the theme of multiculturalism with material on the Cultural History of West Kalimantan. This research method is a literature review. This research uses library insights to examine 20 journal articles related to the content of the article topic. Articles are written based on secondary data sources. The data used was obtained based on research reports, books, and appropriate articles. The data collection method was carried out through a process of in-depth study and analysis of literature on multiculturalism in the history of education in Indonesia. The data analysis technique used in writing articles is qualitative analysis. This article provides insight into the multiculturalism approach to cultural history in the West Kalimantan region. The project-based learning (PjBL) learning model can be an example for teachers in designing learning models that suit the environment and conditions of students. The aim of learning with a multiculturalism approach is expected to provide good historical awareness for students to care for Indonesia's diversity and the variety of cultures that exist. In practice, students can instill an attitude of tolerant and respectful civic life, have empathy for others to create a just Indonesian nation, and uphold democratic values ​​in life.

A Study on the Singing Forms of Western Rock Music Integrating Classical Cultural Elements

Rock and roll is not only a form of music, but also a "attitude and philosophy of life". It is precisely because of this that rock and roll is different from general pop music, and there are various differences between Chinese and Western rock and roll. Rock music has many branches and complex forms. Its main styles include folk rock, art rock, psychedelic rock, Country rock, heavy metal, punk, etc. This article studies the singing forms of Western rock music that integrate classical cultural elements. People who listen to classical music "despise" the "vulgarity" of rock and roll, and people who play rock and roll "dislike" the "affectation" of classical music. These two music styles, which seem to never blend together, always maintain a proud attitude of respecting each other in their respective music culture circles. The extensive use of words with classical cultural elements and cultural imagery in rock music works can allow viewers to develop a sense of closeness and identification with the national essence reflected in the work from an aesthetic psychological perspective, and have a deeper understanding of the ideas expressed in the work.

Analysis of the Communication Strategy of Fast Fashion Brand Uniqlo in Cross-Cultural Contexts

With the globalization of culture and the improvement of economy, overseas sales of big brands have become a major destination. The international fast-paced, high-quality labels with location and mobility advantages have quickly entered the Chinese domestic market characterized by strong demand and demographic dividend, and soon have conquered a market place. Under the current cross-cultural context, whether the product message sent overseas can suit the culture, psychology and customs of the target country, has become a key factor in its determining business success. This article chooses UNIQLO as the main example, put its Chinese Localization strategy under the difference of Chinese and Japanese cultures. Base on the grasp of the status quo of China's fast fashion market, consumers' life attitudes and media habits under the background of economic and social development, uses the theoretical frameworks related to cultural differences to analyze the brand’s cross-cultural explanations of its own concept, the location of the communication Discourse, the choice of media and its communication effect to further promote the understanding of brands’ cross-culture communication and provide reference to fast fashion brands’ communication beyond the boundary.
