At the Fourth International Congress on High-Speed Photography five separate papers were presented describing various aspects of the high-speed photographic work carried out at the British Atomic Weapons Research Establishment. The present paper describes three applications of the Type C5 camera at speeds up to 8 × 10 <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">6</sup> frames/sec on such events as Ø-mode discharges and externally illuminated effects of explosions.
