Eggen, O. J. Abstract Convergent points of (A, D) = (20h33m.7, -38°8arcmin) and (6h24m.2, +6°30arcmin), respectively, have been derived for some 30 FK4 stars in each of the Sirius and Hyades superclusters and distributed over the entire sky. The mean motions of the superclusters are (U, V, W) = (-14.7, 1.5, -10.0) ± (0.7, 1.3, ,1.2) (σ) km/s for the Sirius Supercluster and (+41.4, -18.5, -1.9) ± (0.4, 0.9, 1.1) (σ) km/s for the Hyades Supercluster. The available intermediate band photometry gives photometric moduli that differ, in the mean, from the astrometric results by 0.00±0.30 (σ) mag for the Sirius and 0.08±0.25 (σ) for the Hyades stars.
