Innovation potential of the Arctic economic systems

Innovation potential is of a high priority in territorial economic systems in ensuring sustainable economic growth. Assessment of innovation potential of Arctic systems allows integrating the efforts of federal and regional executive authorities and local governments to activate the innovative development of industrial enterprises. Various scenarios for implementation of the strategy of innovation development, methodological principles and recommendations for evaluating the innovation potential were considered. An assessment of the innovation potential in four regions that are fully related to Russian Arctic was carried out. Innovative profiles of the considered regions were formulated. It is shown that the Murmansk region has the most rational innovation profile close in form to an equilateral pentagon. Based on the assessment of the innovation potential efficiency of using various resources that contribute to the innovative development of the Arctic regions is determined. The Murmansk region has the greatest potential for innovative development. An assessment of the innovation potential of the Arctic regions which allows determining the effectiveness of the use of various resources for the innovative development of regions is performed. The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District demonstrated the greatest potential compared to other Arctic regions and accordingly the most rational use of resources for innovative and technological development what is the basis for recommending the use of the scenario of leadership achievement of innovative development in the medium and long term

MARKETING ASPECTS OF INNOVATION DEVELOPMENT IN REGIONS

In the article the essence of the concept of innovation potential and its regional features are considered. The author analyzes the main factors of stimulation and restraint of realization of innovation potential of regions. As a result of their selection of the marketing component, their role in managing the innovative development of the regions was substantiated. The author describes the main marketing strategies of innovation development of regions and their components. The analysis of the driving forces of economic development in recent decades has shown that the leading positions of the countries are decisively determined by innovation factors. They are the basis for the dynamic development of individual enterprises, regions, countries, and the whole world economy as a whole. Marketing criterion assessment of innovative potential is a powerful tool for the successful development of the region's capabilities, especially useful for regions characterized by high indicators of innovation activity. Marketing aspects of innovation development in the region can become the basis for attracting investment, forming a positive image and overall economic development. Regional marketing allows to assess the current market situation, to forecast the prospects of promoting regional innovative products, to take measures to create a positive image of the region and strengthen its competitive advantages. Therefore, it is important to note that marketing tools for stimulating innovation development should be applied at the regional level, as they promote: realization of innovative potential of the region, increase of attractiveness of the region for large innovative companies, satisfaction of needs of target markets through creation of innovative products, development of the relationship of innovative business with scientific organizations and regional authorities. Thus, the role of marketing in the socio-economic development of innovation and intellectual-oriented regional systems is decisive.

Comparative evaluation of Russian’s regions innovation capacity

The economy of regions needs cardinal increase in efficiency of use of innovative potential, stimulation of scientific research, creation of effective system of commercialization of results of scientific activity. In work the analysis of genesis of the concepts «innovation», «innovative potential», «innovative activity» is carried out; methodological bases of assessment of innovative potential and innovative activity at the regional level are investigated and the system of indicators of their assessment is developed; to carry out the analysis of innovative potential and innovative activity of regions of the Southern and North-Caucasian federal districts; organizational, financial and standard and legal factors of state regulation of innovative activity of the region are offered.

Assessing Innovation Potential of the Agricultural Enterprise

The article discusses different academic views on the assessment of innovation potential of the enterprise. Opinions of scientists in the field of management and assessment of the enterprise innovation potential served as a methodological foundation of the research. Researchers dealing with issues of innovation potential management developed qualitative and quantitative methods of potential estimation and formulated approaches to its assessment. The authors support the quantitative approach to assessment and estimation of innovation potential, therefore indicators have mainly mathematic expression. By studying methods of enterprise innovation potential estimation systematization of approaches was carried out. Different authors classified methods of estimation depending on needs of the market environment and on conceptual characteristic of the potential. The article revealed that the optimal methodology of estimation and management of innovation potential had not been formulated, thus we need approaches based on integral qualitative indicators, which can characterize the innovation potential.

ANALYSIS OF SYSTEM OF DIVERSIFICATION OF PRODUCTION FOR MODELLING OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ENTERPRISE

In article theoretical provisions of strategy of diversification, feature of methods of determination of efficiency of diversification of production of the enterprise, advantage and shortcomings of diversification, the main directions of diversification for manufacturing enterprise are considered. The analysis of system of diversification of production is carried out, in particular key indicators of innovative processes in LLC Globinsky Meat-processing Plant are characterized. Complex assessment of innovative potential in financial structure of the enterprise, innovative potential in personnel structure of the enterprise, innovative potential in a material and innovative component of the enterprise, innovative potential in information component of the enterprise, innovative potential in a market component of the enterprise and as result - assessment of efficiency of implementation of innovative processes is carried out. In article also weaknesses of the strongest competitors of LLC Globinsky Meat-processing Plant in Ukraine are defined strong. The structure of the marketing 5P system of LLC Globinsky Meat-processing Plant is constructed. Zaktsentovano attention to need of formation of investment strategy of the enterprise which guarantees successful realization of the planned capital investments and ensuring economic security of the enterprise, and need of development of model of innovative development of LLC Globinsky Meat-processing Plant.

О некоторых особенностях современного кадрового обеспечения инновационного потенциала в России

The article discusses the main directions of the study of staffi ng innovative processes. Today, the initial indicators of innovative abilities of the personnel is considered to be the level of professional education of employees and their qualifi cations. Supporting this provision, the authors note that often the problem is not only in the level of vocational education, training of qualifi ed specialists and scientists, but also in the need to change the personality of these personnel, their maximum motivation for creativity and initiative. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the composition of indicators that can be used to characterize the personnel in the formation of the integrated assessment of innovation potential. As the results of the conducted research, the analytical data characterizing the modern composition of personnel of the national science are presented. Characteristics of staffi ng personnel engaged in research and development, in terms of number and composition, are supplemented by an analysis of the movement of this category of personnel.

Assessment of Innovation Potential of Gayo Coffee Agroindustry

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to perform an assessment on the innovation potential of Gayo coffee agroindustry, as a basis of policymaking as an effort to promote agroindustry and to increase the revenue.Methodology/Approach: Innovation potential assessment was performed with “Map of the Company Innovation Potential” through a stakeholder survey by using questionnaire and confirmation.Findings: The result of the study shows that innovation potential of Gayo coffee agroindustry is good enough to be developed by considering today’s reality and condition, based on innovation potential assessment that had been performed. This condition is very possible for the development of innovation activity in the form of work and the agroindustry program of Gayo coffee becomes more serious concern, so that the potential of innovation improvement can continue to grow and evolve by involving various parties to create a synergy in supporting innovation development.Research Limitation/implication: This study describes the condition of innovation potential of Gayo coffee agroindustry in six aspects of assessment, which are: strategy and planning, marketing, technological process, quality and environment, logistic and human resources.Originality/Value of paper: This article is according to field data from an interview with the stakeholders, field trip, and quantitative analysis. This study is very helpful for the policy maker in expanding Gayo coffee agroindustry, and become a contribution to analyze innovation potential in other agroindustry.

Research of innovative potential of the region

Reference points of innovative development of Russian economy are particularly relevant, outlined in the Concept of Long-Term Social and Economic Development of the Russian Federation in modern conditions. However the regional dimension should be taken into account in the formation of an effective national system due to the territorial characteristics and federal structure. From the perspective of the authors, assessment of innovative potential is the most important procedure in the management of innovative development of the economy of the region. Identification of strengths and weaknesses in resource supply of area allows you to define the priorities of innovative development and justify the use of specific instruments of innovation policy in the region. In this paper we propose author's method of assessment of the region's innovation potential, based on mathematical and statistical tools. Were made the comparative analysis of the innovation potential of the regions of Central Federal District, and analysis of the structure of the regional innovative potential of the Kursk region. The dynamics of the innovation potential of the Central Federal District of subjects for 2005-2015 were considered. Possible measures to enhance the innovative capacity of the region in view of its structural features were defined.

Assessment of innovative potential of the region

The implementation of innovative-oriented processes of transformation of the Russian economy at the current stage of development requires the formation of regional innovation systems that predetermine the growing competitiveness of the national economy in the future. The optimal functioning of the innovation system of the region as the most important link in the national innovation system depends on the availability, condition and level of development of its innovative potential, which in turn determines the economic growth of not only a single region, but the country as a whole. The essence and structure of innovative potential of organizational systems are considered in the article. The main approaches to the definition of the concept of innovative potential and the definition of the content of the concept are analyzed. An approach to the formation of an integrated indicator is proposed. The integrated indicator of the region's innovative potential was calculated using the area diagram method. The values of the innovation potential for the regions of the Central Federal District were calculated and the ranking of the regions was performed in accordance with the final value. Conclusion. To build a model for innovative development of the region, it is necessary to analyze the components of the innovation potential, its evaluation, and a possible development forecast for the coming years. Voronezh, Tula and Kostroma and Belgorod regions have high rates for the Central Federal District. Ryazan, Smolensk and Kostroma oblasts have rather low indicators in comparison with other regions.

Ocena potencjału innowacyjnego organizacji pod kątem wdrożenia rozwiązań IT – założenia modelu

W artykule omowiono problematyke oceny potencjalu innowacyjnego organizacji. Wiąze sie ona z diagnozą zdolności organizacji do wlaściwego przeprowadzenia procesu innowacji o określonym poziomie zlozoności. Ma ona gwarantowac wlaściwy wybor nowatorskiego rozwiązania IT nie tylko pod kątem potrzeb organizacji, ale takze ze wzgledu na mozliwośc wdrozenia i przyswojenia systemu przez daną organizacje. Zagadnienie zostalo poruszone z punktu widzenia kryteriow oceny wnioskow o finansowanie z Funduszy Europejskich w programach wspierających innowacyjne rozwiązania informatyczne. Zaproponowane wzbogacenie tej oceny ma prowadzic do poprawy alokacji środkow finansowych. Scharakteryzowano rozne podejścia do innowacyjności oraz zasady oceny projektow IT w wybranych programach. Podkreślono znaczenie w zasadach oceniania wnioskow, obok zalozen samych projektow, takze potencjalu innowacyjnego wnioskodawcy. Zaproponowano wstepny projekt modelu oceny dojrzalości innowacyjnej organizacji w zakresie zdolności realizacji innowacyjnych projektow informatycznych i poźniejszego przyswojenia ich produktow.

ANALYSIS OF METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO ASSESSING INNOVATIVE POTENTIAL OF SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATIONS

The article is devoted to the evaluation of innovative potential of scientific organizations. Innovation potential is the core of the overall capacity of the organization, the constituent elements of which is industrial-technological, scientific, technical, financial and economic, personnel, organizational and management capacity, as well as the degree of readiness of the organization to innovate. The problem of estimation is the lack of assessment of complex research, methodological development and conceptualapproaches to the assessment of the innovative capacity and efficiency of its use. This article analyzes the works of scientists for research evaluation of innovative potential of the organization. A review of currentapproaches to the assessment of innovative potential, will bring them disadvantages. Comparative analysistechniques indicate their variety of methodological basis of the research and innovation potential assessmentmethods. The most common group of three assessment methods: point scoring, evaluation on the basis ofstatistical, quantitative data, a mixed assessment option. The approach to assessing the innovative potentialof scientific activity. It was found that the diagnosis of the innovation potential of research institutionsshould be integrated. Objective assessment of the value of the innovation potential can be achieved with the correct selection of indicators to characterize the complex potential on various grounds.

Typical cauliflower production systems in Germany

Cauliflower is one of the most intensive vegetable crops in Germany. Production system analysis provides important information for the assessment of innovation potential. In this paper, typical cauliflower production systems in Germany are reviewed. Data collection included 52 interviews with farm managers covering details such as the production area, cultivation program and natural location factors, as well as field operations, technology used, the required labour, and resources. Data on yields, prices, marketing fees and surcharges were collected. The production systems were grouped by size as the most important differentiating factor. Four different production systems were established from small to very large. Results show that larger production systems are equipped with bigger machinery and more advanced technologies. Tillage, fertilisation, plant protection and irrigation were similar. Economies of scale can be observed through mechanisation and labour cost decreased with production volume. High output prices are the main reason for income and the gross margin to increase with production volume.

Особенности инновационного развития строительного комплекса в условиях модернизации национальной экономики

Today, one of the major tasks facing Russia is modernization of the national economy. The construction complex is one of the most important sectors of the national economy and it also needs innovative and technological rearmament. Transition of the construction complex to an innovative way of development is a difficult process. In the article the features of innovative development of a construction complex in Russia are considered. Innovative activity assumes the existence of certain types of resources, which in total are required for the solution of specific production objectives and reflect readiness of the construction organizations, the enterprises of building industry, design, research and other organizations within a construction complex, to their decision. The set of these resources represents the innovative potential of a construction complex. Innovative potential of a construction complex is presented by a set of components: fixed assets, construction materials, architectural and planning decisions, construction technologies, manpower, investment resources, organizational and economic mechanisms, administrative technologies. In the process of scientific research we carried out an assessment of innovative potential of a construction complex concerning the offered components. According to the results the problems of innovative development of a construction complex are revealed and the factors stimulating its transition to new technological mode are proved.
