Rational calculation of pressing-tool dies

On the basis of the Third Theory of Strength a theoretical formula is proposed for determining the relative wall thickness of a single-layer die with allowance for a reserve coefficient ensuring the required level of design rigidity in the die. The die calculation method proposed in [2] has been refined by introducing appropriate values of reserve coefficient and assembly interference in a two-layer die, with allowance for the required design rigidity.
