In this research article, a non-enzymatic electrochemical ascorbic acid (AA) sensor using inverse spinel of manganese cobaltite (MCO) stabilized on GCE was evaluated. Investigation on the characteristics of the synthesized manganese cobaltite nanoparticles were acquired from XRD, UV, XPS, FTIR, SEM, and TEM characterization techniques. The principal results observed include, two linear ranges in the sensor’s dynamic range of detection from 5 μM - 1.5 mM and 1.5 mM - 4.44 mM with LOD and LOQ of 0.085 µM and 0.283 µM respectively. The anti-interference study indicated a restoration of 107.4% and 91.3% recovery amidst biological and tablet excipient molecules respectively. The recovery results obtained from the biological and pharmaceutical samples conclude a satisfactory validation of recovery from pharmaceutical samples of Vitamin-C tablets and drinks.
