The Meaningful Passive Verbal In International Research Articles’ Abstracts

Many authors often receive notifications while typing sentences on their computers and checking grammar using the review and spelling checking menu. These notifications usually appear when sentences are in the passive voice, prompting the authors to consider rewriting them in the active voice. In the abstract of research journal articles, some authors also question whether they should stick to using active sentences. This study aims to investigate the prevalence of passive verbal in abstract research articles (RAS) by the international journal authors, with the sample through purposive technique. It is assumed that all the articles, having been published, underwent blind review, ensuring the publishable scientifically in their status as research articles. The data for analysis were collected from 20 of research articles that met specific criteria, such as being published in international journals. The results indicate that the authors use passive verbal mostly in Move 3 (methodology) and Move 4 (results of the research). Another evidence, the more passive verbal used the more efficient the abstract is. It is advisable to use passive verbal for writing research article abstract for making it efficient

The Problem-Based Learning Model Integrated with The Integrated Learning Model in Science Learning: A Systematic Literature Review

This study aims to identify and analyze publications on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with the integrated learning model in learning Natural Sciences (IPA) based on research journal articles from 2018 to 2023. The systematic literature review method followed the PRISMA diagram. Data were obtained from 476 national and international articles through Mendeley and Google Scholar. After the screening, 15 articles that met the inclusion criteria were found as samples. The analysis showed that integrated science learning with various models effectively improves student learning outcomes. The development of modules or learning tools can also improve students' abilities and religious characters through integration at every stage of learning. Integrated science learning models such as webbed, connected, nested, and shared have been tested and proved their effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes. However, further exploration is needed regarding integrating the PBL model with the integrated learning model to implement it with better innovation. This research is expected to contribute to the development of education in the future.

Post Covid-19: Eco-Friendly Women Entrepreneurs Sustainability Development on TBL Components

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the sustainable development of the Triple Bottom Line (TBL) components by SHG women entrepreneurs who launched eco-friendly businesses during COVID-19 with microfinance assistance.
 
 Theoretical framework: TBL is accessible through economic, political, and environmentally sustainable development. These three components contribute to the sustainable development of SHG women entrepreneurs through entrepreneurship practices. The SDGs include women's development on their global agenda.
 
 Design/methodology/approach: This study considers the TBL accomplishments and research journal articles published between 2003 and 2022 by 75 eco-friendly entrepreneurs. The qualitative study analyzes sustainable development TBL components and capital budgeting analysis utilizing primary data from newly formed eco-friendly SHG women entrepreneurs.
 
 Findings: A women's entrepreneurial empowerment study has been undertaken globally. This research looks at how eco-friendly SHG women entrepreneurs get economic, political, and environmental backing for their business practices. The SHG women achieved the Sustainable Development Goals.
 
 Research, Practical & Social implications: The study's findings advocate for an empirical analysis of the accomplishments of eco-friendly women entrepreneurs and the microfinance team's promotion of eco-friendly entrepreneurs for sustainability.
 
 Originality/value: Eco-friendly entrepreneurial practises help women's economic growth and environmental sustainability through using microfinance and SHG networks. Women's political awareness is enhanced via entrepreneurial activity.

Religious Digital Literacy of Students in Indonesia and Malaysia

Advances in information and communication technology are so fast, capable of dynamically changing the order of human life. Everyone is increasingly dependent on technology in every inch of their activities, including in the realm of education. The use of technology products in the form of internet access and social media has been massively used by millions of people in the world. Learning, which initially only focused on meeting in class and relying only on printed books, is now developing with the presence of a new era, namely digital literacy, including in religious learning. This study aims to photograph the implementation of digital literacy, the use of digital religious resources and their impact on learning in Indonesia and Malaysia. This study is a type of qualitative research with a systematic literature review (SLR) approach. Primary data sources come from research journal articles and books that are in accordance with the theme of the discussion while secondary data is used as explanatory data related to the theme. The data analysis technique uses content analysis. The findings or results of the research are that digital literacy in Indonesia and Malaysia both utilize information and communication technology media that relies on internet access, websites and social media. Problems are still found in the two countries, namely related to equity, where in some regions or regions they have not been able to reach the internet optimally and certainly have not been able to fully implement digital literacy. Digital religious literacy of students in Indonesia and Malaysia is by utilizing interesting and free-access content and materials available on the internet and social media. Access to religious material in digital space by students has proven to be able to increase understanding of the material.

Pembentukan Kreativitas Siswa melalui Metode Project Based Learning di SMP Regina Pacis Surakarta

Purpose: The process of doing this project is expected to shape student creativity through problem-solving skills with project-based learning methods. The objectives of this study include: 1) analyzing the application of project-based learning methods at Regina Pacis Surakarta Middle School; 2) examining the results of student creativity in learning Music Arts using project-based learning methods at Regina Pacis Middle School Surakarta. The research method used is qualitative with descriptive exposure. The procedures carried out in this study include 1) selecting themes, topics and cases by looking for phenomena based on previous research, theory or observations, 2) determining the theoretical basis and reviewing the literature, 3) formulating research focus and problems, 4) data collection, carried out using observation, interviews and documentation, 5) data analysis, 6) data validity in the form of data triangulation, 7) conclude. Method: This study compared information provided by the media with interviews and direct observation at Regina Pacis Surakarta Middle School at different times. Method triangulation was carried out by comparing information or data obtained through interviews and observations of informants. Result and Discussion: Researchers conclude from the results of interviews and observations. Then the formulation results are matched with previous research, books and other journal articles. The results of the evaluation carried out by the teacher showed that students exceeded the passing mark, and the success of teaching and learning activities using project-based learning methods at SMP Regina Pacis Surakarta had a percentage of 85% - 90%. This percentage is also the result of this study.

Introducing the Concept ‘Intra-Local Governmental Relations’ for Proper and Future Usage in Public Administration Research and Education: A Possible Case for Bathos

Usage of the phrase ‘conceptual bathos’ in this paper is simply to engender curiosity of the readership but above that, it is used to caution emerging researchers [especially in the field of public administration] against overlooking or demeaning important subjects or concepts to simple or ordinary ones. Specifically, the paper refers to ‘Intra-local governmental relations’ as a concept that has suffered the same cause of negation to argue for its proper usage in future. This concept is found within the orbit of intergovernmental relations (IGR) and is a term of reference for various internal municipality relations. However, it is suspected that because of the inherent similarities and motherhood relationship between IGR and ILGR researchers have failed to draw differences thereby causing confusion. The extent of this confusion may lead to a suggestion that these concepts are inseparable and therefore can be used to explain each one’s context. The current paper characterises such acts as tangential and generalist conceptual approach which is often not aware of the important groupings (classifications) of governmental relations. By collecting and unpacking data from the existing research outputs, books, journal articles and government publications, the current paper finally realised its objective, which was to re-introduce ILGR into the academic discourse and the anticipation is that emerging Public Administration researchers and scholars will use the concept properly and correctly.

Penggunaan Aplikasi Seluler dalam Pemberian Medikasi pada Anak untuk Mencegah Kesalahan Pemberian Medikasi (Medication Error)

The purpose of this study was to analyze the use of mobile applications to assist in administering the medication needed to children to avoid the risk of errors in medication administration (medication errors). This research method uses a literature study by using a review of research journal articles that were searched through online database searches: Proquest, SAGE Journal, Clinical Key Nursing, PubMed, EBSCO, and Scopus, which were published in 2018-2022, with the keywords mobile application, drug medication, pediatric and medication error. The study's results prove that mobile applications in medication calculations can be used as an intervention to prevent medication errors in children. In conclusion, using mobile applications to administer medication to avoid medication errors in children is very useful.

Mathematics education research on language and on communication including some distinctions: Where are we now?

In this article, we present a narrative review of mathematics education research on language and on communication over 2019–2022, but also look ahead by addressing challenges posed by the lack of distinction between language and communication. The persistence and significance of the problem of the distinction between language and communication are thus outlined in a historical moment of celebration of growth of research in the domain. Informed by the analysis of a selection of research journal articles and by our trajectories, we discuss influential topics in the recent discourse: multilingual mathematics classrooms; mathematics teacher education on language in mathematics teaching; multimodal mathematical communication; interaction and mathematics learning; mathematical language and discourse. We connect this with new emerging or old revisited concepts: instructional designing, gesturing, argumenting and languaging. We finish by further reflecting on multimodal mathematical communication and gesturing, and on the potential of expanding the notion of mathematics register towards a notion of mathematics communication register.

Mycobacterial Death and Resurrection: paradigm shifts in disease understanding.

This article examines two medical journal research articles on tuberculosis, one published in 1938 and the other in 2014. The two articles, which use animal models to understand aspects of tuberculosis mycobacteria survival in the lungs, rely on markedly different research and biotechnological techniques, reach somewhat opposite conclusions, and reflect different paradigms of tuberculosis pathogenesis: the 1938 article (indirectly invoking Koch's postulates) was written before the paradigm of so-called "latent" and "reactivation" tuberculosis became widely adopted, while the 2014 article (indirectly invoking the molecular equivalents to Koch's postulates) works within that paradigm but implicitly questions it. Despite this, both articles exhibit fascinating similarities in terms of how their authors tackled their research questions, formulated their results, and framed their research methodologies. These similarities reflect both the reliance on tenets of the scientific method but also the value of paradigms of disease causation. Using tuberculosis as an example, this article concludes with remarks about how disease paradigms evolve and can stimulate research that leads to advances in disease understanding.

Systematic Review: The Impact Of Pandemic Post-Covid-19 On The Mental Health Of The Elderly

 The elderly are those who spend a lot of time at home to gather with their families and grandchildren, which is normal. This systematic review aims to look at the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the post-pandemic mental health of the elderly. based on research journal articles published from January 2022 to April 2022 on the elderly. Five research articles were obtained from three international publishers. The five journals were tested for due diligence using six PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analyses) assessment protocols which included abstracts and titles, introduction and objectives, methods and data, sample selection strategy, data analysis, and research findings. The results obtained based on a systematic study conducted in depth regarding the impact of Covid-19 on the health of the elderly are; (1) Psychological disorders, namely: anxiety, stress, overdose, and trauma. (2) Disorders of happiness, namely quality of life, perceptions of health and well-being (3) and Physical Disorders, namely functional disorders, dyspenia, and cognitive disorders. This finding represents the impact that the elderly have felt during the 4 months of the pandemic in 2022, even though it has been more than two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the elderly are still feeling the negative impact of the pandemic. The third finding of the impact of the pandemic on the elderly can be used as reference material and a source of reference for in-depth research by linking variables that can increase positive emotions in individuals.

Aceh Traditional Culinary Kuah Pliek U: How it Sustains Eco-Lexicon Diversity

"Kuah Pliek" is the famous Acehnese cuisine that utilizes most ecological materials. However, only a few researchers have discussed the sustainability of the lexicon contained within the cuisine from an eco-linguistics perspective. This study focuses on Aceh's traditional cuisine, "Kuah Pliek U" (KPU), to assess the raw materials' eco-lexicon diversity and the Acehnese's knowledge of the identified eco-lexicon. This study employed a qualitative research design to address the problems in which data collection included in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), passive and active observation, and the examination of documents such as research reports and journal articles. The analysis of data then used a qualitative interactive model. The result demonstrates that the number of the eco-lexicon within KPU is about 35 – 40, as same as its total of raw materials and ingredients. It consists of biotic and abiotic, with plants comprising the majority. Linguistically, the lexicon belongs to the noun class, but semantically, it can be divided into nouns, prepositional eco-lexicons, and nouns and conjunction. This study also reveals that Acehnese knowledge of KPU has decreased, despite its continued popularity in Aceh society. It means that the existence of three dimensions that influence language sustainability cannot guarantee that local people's cultural knowledge will remain intact.

PELATIHAN MENELUSURI SUMBER REFERENSI DAN MENGGUNAKAN APLIKASI REFERENCE MANAGER UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KESIAPAN PENULISAN TUGAS AKHIR MAHASISWA

Research activities are generally carried out by students as part of the completion of the final project (thesis) which is one of the graduation requirements for obtaining a bachelor's degree. There are several reference sources that can be used as references in conducting research, including textbooks, previous research journal articles, data and information published by official institutions, as well as results of observations or preliminary research. With a complete reference source, it is expected that students can easily conduct research and write their final project. This community service activity seeks to provide training and practical instructions in accessing national and international journal articles, as well as the process of writing final assignments and publishing scientific articles. This community service activity aims to accelerate students' ability to complete their final project, as an implementation of a cooperation agreement that has been agreed upon by the Faculty of Economics, Jakarta State University with several universities in Indonesia. The time for implementing this community service activity is October 15th 2022. The training was be carried out via media zoom, bearing in mind that currently, Indonesia is still in a pandemic period so there are limitations to conducting face-to-face learning. For this reason, various tips will be explained through this training on how to access various research reference sources that can be carried out by optimizing the use of digital applications. It is hoped that through this training, FE UNJ can actively collaborate with other tertiary institutions in Indonesia in improving capabilities and accelerating the completion of student final assignments in Indonesia

Theoretical study of the dilemma in the consumption of green products

Participation in implementing green behavior is often a dilemma and an exciting study for many researchers. Through this research, a theoretical study of dilemmas in the consumption of green products is conducted by searching for international journal articles. In this study, a five-stage method of data processing of research journal articles was applied, including (1) Stage-1: Article search using Dimensions software; (2) Stage-2: Selection of one main article; (3) Stage-3: Searching articles related to prior works using Connected Papers software; (4) Stage-4: Processing articles based on the work cloud using ATLAS. ti software; and (5) Stage-5: Searching and processing articles using VOSviewer and Biblioshiny software. The articles collected were 637 articles (Stage-1) and 1946 (Stage-5). The conclusions obtained through this study are: (1) Studies on dilemmas in green product consumption need to be followed up through comprehensive follow-up studies; (2) Potential areas of study include: (a) the level of belief in green products that explains the rationalization of green product consumption; (b) economic and social aspects that critique the advantages and disadvantages of green product consumption.

Makeover of Banks by Digital Interventions and Innovations by Fintechs

Background/Purpose: The global economy is continuously changing with innovation and technological development. In the recent past, digital technology has revolutionized the banking sector and hence banks are readjusting their business strategies toward e-banking. Fintech companies with lower costs operations were taking over the banking business initially, and now are partnering with banks to increase their profits and customer base. Design/Methodology/Approach: The data for this case study has been gathered from secondary sources of information by referring to a number of research articles in journals and information from the internet. It is a case study research approach that seeks to assess fintech and banking digital transformation and aims to evaluate Fintech in Banking using SWOC analysis. Findings: Banks by partnering with fintech companies can expand their services instantaneously using data sets. It can offer a single platform to access various financial services and also introduce innovative, economical products, and services to customers. Integration of banks with fintech may lead to technical complexity. It is challenging to meet the rising expectations of the customers. Analysis of the Influence of the Role of Financial Literacy on Personal Financial Management

This study aims to analyze the effect of the role of financial literacy on personal financial management. The method in this study uses a systematic method by identifying, finding, and discussing selected research journal articles. Data were obtained from scientific articles relevant to the topic of this research. Through the process of finding, discovering, and interpreting the results, the researcher concludes that financial literacy has three main roles, namely: 1) financial literacy plays an important role in a better financial planning process; 2) financial literacy plays an important role in making finances more precise. decisions and their real implementation; and 3) financial literacy plays a role in achieving financial prosperity. The role of financial literacy will adjust to the needs of financial professionals. This can be seen from the dependence of the purpose of the financial plan on the level of financial literacy possessed by financial planners.

Management of Teachers-Parents Relationship to Improve Teacher Subjective Well-Being: A Literature Review

The relationship between teachers and parents plays an important role not only in determining the success of student learning at school but also in influencing the subjective well-being of teachers. However, the ideal teacher-parent relationship is not always possible. Often there are conflicts between parents and teachers that make student learning outcomes at school not optimal. A poor relationship between teachers and parents will also reduce the subjective well-being of teachers. This paper will analyze the management of good teacher-parent relationship to improve the subjective well-being of teachers. This study uses a literature review method from 14 research journal articles to identify the problems that become barriers on parents teacher relationships. The study found that differences in perceptions of student abilities between teachers and parents caused the most conflicts in the teacher-parent relationship.

Scoping Literature Review of STEM Research in Indonesia in Improving Critical Thinking Skills and Concepts Mastery

The publication of previous articles on STEM research was still limited to describing the impact of STEM on learning and did not provide specific information on certain competencies. In addition, these publications are still limited to one level of education and subjects as sample criteria. This study aims to analyze the literature on STEM research in Indonesia in improving critical thinking skills and concepts mastery in chemistry, physics, biology, and science subjects from elementary to tertiary education levels, summarizing and disseminating a wide selection of literature. Research methods include identifying research questions, identifying relevant studies by searching for research articles in journals and conference articles in proceedings with certain keywords, selecting studies based on criteria, mapping data, then compiling, summarizing, and reporting the results. After that charting the data is synthesizing and interpreting qualitative data by sifting, charting, and sorting material according to key issues and themes. The findings from this analysis are that STEM research is dominated by the use of experimental methods (53.33%), STEM as a learning approach (71.1%), and especially PjBL (24.44) and PBL (17.78%). STEM research related to learning and developing learning tools based on learning models other than PjBL and PBL has not been done much.

Rhetorical Functions of Articles in SINTA Accredited Journal

Background: 
 In the past ten years or so, the publication of research journal articles has been increasing and growing. The development is even more significant when the Higher Education in Circular Letter No.152 / E / T / 2012 requires article writing for students of all levels as one of the graduation requirements. The publication of articles, especially in English-language journals, is a challenge for Indonesian authors to be able to produce scientific papers that not only meet scientific rules but also linguistic rules in English.
 Methodology: 
 This study aims to see the function of rhetorical moves in English journal articles published in SINTA-accredited journals. The part of the article to be studied is focused on the Introduction which has the main role of providing general information about the research background. The rhetoric function of this article will show a series of texts that have a specific function in the Introduction. The sample of this study was taken from articles in the SINTA-accredited journals level 2 and written in English written by authors of non-English-language disciplines. Two articles were randomly selected from each journal so in total it amounted to 16 articles.
 Findings: 
 This study looks at what rhetorical functions were used, and the textuality of the rhetorical functions used in the Introduction to articles written and published in SINTA-accredited journals level 2. “Indicating the Structure of the Research Paper” and “Announcing Principal Findings” were the least two rhetorical functions stated by the authors in the Introduction section. Two articles in this study fulfil the textuality components but the rests fail to fulfill the textuality components.
 Conclusion: 
 Writing journal articles in English is a great challenge for Authors with an English as a foreign language (EFL) background. Language proficiency, academic language mastery, academic writing convention and mechanics awareness which include rhetorical functions and textuality might distract their content writing competence.
 Originality: 
 Many studies searched the rhetorical functions of postgraduate theses, journal articles, and thesis abstracts in English written by non-native English; however, research on journal articles by Indonesian journal publishers is limited.

THE INFLUENCE OF GADGET MEDIA ON EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT: LITERATURE REVIEW

Background : The use of gadgets has a detrimental effect on children's interpersonal skills if they are used too often. Method : The process carried out in this literature review is to review and look for several research journal articles published through an electronic database. Result : The results of the literature review and discussion of journals can show that there is an influence on the use of gadget media with early childhood development, it is said that Gadgets can affect aspects of cognitive, social-emotional development, religious and moral values, language and physical-motor aspects of children. Conclusion : Now children's social lives are more affected by technology. More often early childhood interacts with gadgets and also cyberspace affects the child's thinking power towards something outside of this, he will also feel unfamiliar with the surrounding environment due to lack of social interaction.
