Anxiety is a common condition experienced by teenagers living in orphanages. The prevalence of adolescents in orphanages experienced more anxiety (17.5%) compared to youth who are in a family environment. Anxiety in adolescents if left unhandled will lead to poor emotional development, decreased academic scores, social phobias, and low self-esteem. The purpose of the study was to see an overview of the adolescent orphanage in Pekanbaru City. The research uses a cross-sectional research design with a simple descriptive analysis. The results of the study gained that only 30.2% of adolescent orphanages were not experiencing anxiety. As many as 37.4% of adolescent orphanages experience moderate anxiety, 23.6% mild anxiety, 6% severe anxiety, and 2.7% panic. The conclusion of this research is the level of anxiety that occurs in adolescent orphanages in Pekanbaru City most are moderate levels of anxiety. As a mental health nurse should pay attention to teenagers living in orphanages to help optimize the development of youth living in orphanages and collaborate with other areas of health sciences in Addressing adolescent developmental problems, one of which is an anxiety problem.
