A Model of Android - Dependent Vehicle Monitoring System

From a global perspective, the number of cars using our roads around-the-clock has increased dramatically, and this has tremendously amplified the insecurity on our roads. This has become a key subject, especially in Nigeria. Consequently, automobile trailing schemes are gradually becoming evident amongst common users in the transport sector in most major metropolises. This paper aims to showcase a developed Android-based application system for vehicle trailing schemes that integrates Google Maps real-time features, the “Global Positioning System (GPS), and employs the Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM)” technology. The GPS component is a space-based navigation system that runs on location and time data at all times, irrespective of place and time on the globe, provided there is a line of sight to any of the four or more GPS satellites. The time and location are displayed, utilising Google Maps, which serves as an interface with the application so that the user will be able to constantly monitor moving vehicles via the smartphone. Presented here are the designed model and the experimental outcome of the automobile trailing system that verifies the possibility of the system trailing the movement of vehicles from one location to another at any given time, as well as an interactive Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the Smartphone application.

A digital twin framework for innovating rural ecological landscape control

BackgroundBecause cities prioritize economic development and face ecological space and resource constraints, the development of rural areas, which have untapped potential, should receive increased attention. Consequently, rural ecological landscapes should be constructed through the control of land use types and quality to fully ensure the sustainable development of urban and rural ecosystems. The digital twin is a philosophy and a methodology that connects the digital and physical realms, facilitating realistic and dynamic mapping simulations of the real world. This capability offers valuable insights for digital decision-making, maintenance, and optimization of rural ecological landscapes. Given the digital transformation of rural ecological landscape control, this paper proposes a rural intelligent control approach based on the digital twin concept and new technology.MethodsFive components of the rural ecological landscape digital twin framework are selected to collectively facilitate the monitoring and analysis of rural conditions, formulate strategic solutions, implement management and control behaviors, and enhance participant interaction. The method includes three steps: mapping and fusing information, constructing and managing a database, and constructing a digital platform. Data mining and spatial fusion are performed through targeted mapping methods, and Oracle and ArcGIS SDE are utilized for database construction and fused data management. The twin platform is generated via HTML, desktop application development and geographic information system development technologies using a distributed system as the core.ResultsBased on multiple case studies, our platform efficiently gathers system information on rural ecological landscapes using a twin model. Through evaluation and analysis, it determines landscape governance zones, adjusting them based on land use conditions. The platform refines control schemes with feedback from diverse users, ensuring effective control in various scenarios. Its key advantages include high development efficiency, flexible access, and smooth cross-platform integration. Although implemented in rural China, the proposed digital twin framework is applicable to any rural area requiring ecological landscape digital control.ConclusionsThe value of the platform lies in its powerful information processing capability, overcoming the limitations of time and space and enabling the presentation and integration of fictional scenes Thus, the platform provides a reference for the digital transformation of rural ecological landscape control.

Cybersecurity vulnerability and resilience of cooperative driving automation for energy efficiency and flow stability in smart cities

Increasing levels of communication and automation has led to the development of cyber physical systems applications known as cooperative driving automation. While such applications provide enormous benefits in improving transportation systems operation and environmental sustainability, they also introduce new risks to smart cities. These systems provide wider access to adversaries and increase the attack surface to compromise the operation of smart cities. This study develops a vehicle to infrastructure (V2I) based cooperative driving automation platform to understand and analyze the cyber risks in these systems from a V2I perspective in a representative traffic environment. Three cyberattacks (Fake BSMs, replay and denial of service) were emulated as a cooperative game to assess the impact on volatility, energy efficiency and traffic flow stability. The critical nature of cooperative driving automation is revealed by this research and flow stability, and energy efficiency of cooperative driving automation are severely impacted by the three categories of cyberattacks. Further, a 35 %-40 % increase in volatility in acceleration-deceleration regimes along with 20 % increase in emission is observed as opposed to the baseline case with no cyberattacks. The proposed long-short term memory neural networks (LSTM) showed an average detection accuracy of around 98 % for the analyzed cyberattacks. The research findings would foster the development of algorithms to continuously monitor the state of cooperative automated driving environment for anomalous behavior and promote resilient and environmentally sustainable cities in the future.

Development of electrostatic removal system for application in dust removal from Martian spacesuits

Dust removal from Martian spacesuits whilst on exploration activities is critically important for long-term Martian exploration missions. Martian dust is known to contain harmful particles which must be removed from Martian spacesuits to prevent entry into habitation zones on Mars, and prevent spacesuit wear. In this work, an Electrostatic Removal System was developed which utilised the phenomenon of dielectrophoresis to remove Martian dust from the outer layer of spacesuits. Dielectrophoretic forces were exerted on dust particles by an alternating electrostatic field which acted to remove the particles from a surface. The field was generated by applying high voltage square waves, produced by a MOSFET H-Bridge, across an array of parallel copper electrodes contained within an Electrostatic Removal Device. A theoretical model was derived to predict the effect of variables on the system performance, which was validated through experimental testing. This system demonstrated a high dust clearing performance of over 95% when the dust is in direct contact with the Electrostatic Removal Device’s surface. However, the system was not able to achieve dust removal from samples of Nomex, Teflon, and Kevlar, the three constituent materials of the outer layer of spacesuits. Further development is required for the system to become a viable option for the removal of Martian dust from spacesuits. Nonetheless, this system may prove effective in other applications such as dust removal from solar panels or optical devices, where the electrodes may be able to be integrated directly beneath the dust layer.

Desktop Application for Traceability System on The Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Storage Process

This paper discusses the development of desktop applications for traceability systems. The application was developed to facilitate data recording and tracking in an electronics manufacturing company's storage process of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) products. The application is developed using the Visual Basic language and Microsoft Excel databases. Additionally, the application is integrated with a barcode scanner to simplify the data entry process from PCBs and employee ID cards. Through the trial process conducted on the developed application, it has generally functioned in accordance with the development goals. Program control validation has been tested through several application access attempts from users registered as operators and administrators. The application has successfully recorded data from inbound and outbound processes, demonstrating storage and tracking functionality. Furthermore, the application has displayed the actual status data of the PCBs present in the warehouse. In terms of user satisfaction, seven users stated that this application was effective and efficient compared to the manual data recording process previously used by the company. This result was obtained from a questionnaire after the application was implemented in the company warehouse.

Physicochemical study of natural zeolite modified with lavender essential oil

Zeolite-containing nanocomposites as candidates for Lavender oil delivery systems were investigated. The nanocomposite samples and lavender oil delivery systems were investigated by pore size distribution and X-ray diffraction (XRD), the specific surface area with Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer, energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDX) analysis and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). These initial results could significantly contribute to the further development of applications for lavender essential oil delivery systems based on natural zeolites as innovative bioactive products.

Pengujian Perangkat Lunak Metode Black Box Pada Aplikasi Sistem Pakar Pola Latihan dan Asupan Makanan

Software testing is an important part of expert system application development. This software testing aims to ensure optimal performance and functionality of this application, where the application must be able to run according to a previously created design and application testing must ensure that the program is free from errors.
 The testing methodology includes a series of steps designed to identify potential bugs, ensure proper integration between components, and verify that the application meets functional and non-functional requirements. Testing is carried out using various functional testing scenarios.
 Test results show that this application is able to provide accurate and relevant solutions in the context of exercise patterns to achieve the desired body goals. Additionally, application performance is tested to ensure fast response and good user experience, even under high load conditions. The findings from this test provide confidence that the "Exercise Pattern and Food Intake Expert System" is ready for use by end users.

Application of Analytic Hierarchy Process and Simple Additive Weighting in Designing The Best Employee Selection Decision Support System at PT Pos Indonesia

The purpose of this study is to compare the best employee evaluation outcomes using the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) technique and simple additive weighting (SAW) method as a support system for best employee suggestions. The author employed four different approaches for gathering data for this study: literature studies, interviews, observation, and similar literature studies. The RAD paradigm is being used in the development of this decision support system (DSS). The unified modeling language, or UML, tool is used in this system development methodology. It's time to put the system into action after it has been designed and analyzed. The black box testing methodology will be used for the experiments. Based on the research results, it was found that this system was able to assist decision makers in providing employee assessments quickly and precisely according to the predetermined time, whereas previously managers were always late and exceeded the time limit when assessing employees. The output of this system is that it can provide direct reports to the employees being assessed to find out the results of the scores obtained and make decisions about selecting the best employees. A decision support system for employee performance assessment uses the PHP and MySQL programming languages as the database. AHP and SAW methods, rapid application development (RAD) system development methods, and system testing with black box testing.

Development of Mobile Learning Application System for Environmental Science Material (SARITHA-Apps)

The constraints posed by traditional learning tools for environmental science materials hinder the advancement of innovative and interactive learning resources, which are essential for enhancing the understanding of environmental science concepts. This research aims to develop a mobilelearning application for environmental science material to increase students’ interest in learning and cognitive abilities in environmental science material. This study uses a quantitative approach. The research population was students of the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP, Palangka Raya University, totaling 243 people. The sampling technique uses purportive sampling. The target sample is students who are taking environmental knowledge courses. The sample size was 24 people. The research approach uses the Hannafin & Peck model by identifying and designing mobile-learning media along with environmental science material content, testing its performance on respondents, and analyzing learners’ cognitive skills and respondents’ learning interests. Data collection was carried out using product reflection questionnaires by a team of experts, pre-test and post-test instruments, and reflection questionnaires by users. The results show that: (1) a mobile learning application for environmental sciences materials has been produced, namely the SARITHA-Apps (abbreviation of Sistem Aplikasi Mobile LeaRning Materi Ilmu PengeTaHuan LingkungAn) as one of the materials in biology education in schools; (2) the average result of the expert team’s assessment on the product feasibility is 91%, which means the qualification is “Very Eligible”; (3) the SARITHA-Apps can improve learning cognitive skills of the respondents with an N-Gain of 0.4 or the “Moderate” category and ; (4) based on the survey, 73% of total respondents agreed (or in “Strong” qualification) that the SARITHA-Apps has a strong impact on the increasing their scientific interests for better understanding on environmental sciences subject.

Development of computer application system and database testing based on data encryption technology

Abstract In this paper, we use the MapReduce programming framework for the development of a computer application system and design the vision module, control module and transaction module of the system based on MVC architecture. Focusing on the encryption design of the database, the data stored in the database is chunked through the Map function, and all the chunking results are aggregated based on the Reduce function, and synchronized encryption of the database is combined with the Paillier homomorphic encryption algorithm. On this basis, the system environment is configured, and the application system developed in this paper is tested, focusing on exploring the stability of the database. The test results show that the decryption output time is 21s when the Paillier encryption algorithm is 200, and the first set of database peak is 76% of the server load, which is within the tolerable range. Security test on the database: the results show that the probability of an attack on all ports with a database security factor less than 6 is around 0.3. There is no significant difference, and the database test is good.

Employee Recruitment Decision Support System Using Analytical Hierarchy Process Method in Security Services Companies

The purpose of this study is to determine how to combine the AHP method with other techniques to develop an employee recruiting decision support system. Utilized techniques for gathering data include literature reviews, interviews, and observation. The Rapid Application Development system development technique was employed in this study. Unified Model Language is one of the techniques used in system design to help envision the structure of the system that will be created. The discussion's outcomes allow for the following deductions to be made: Using a combination of web-based AHP and SAW methodologies, the Rapid Application Development method, and the Laravel 8 framework, this research creates an employee recruiting decision support system. It is anticipated that the decision support system for staff recruiting will automate the hiring process, reducing applicant subjectivity. HRD's tasks can be made easier by decision support systems, particularly in the data verification process because the electronic files that are received ensure that they are not mixed up with other documents.

EVALUASI RANCANGAN INFRASTRUKTUR KESEHATAN NASIONAL DALAM CETAK BIRU TRANSFORMASI DIGITAL KESEHATAN 2024

The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia during 2020 has introduced numerous challenges and hurdles for the field of public health. It has also prompted the Indonesian government to explore the application of digital information technology in managing the COVID-19 crisis. As an extension of the broader incorporation of information technology within public health services, the Ministry of Health has undertaken a significant initiative with its Blueprint for Health Digital Transformation Strategy 2024. This initiative places a particular emphasis on the establishment of health data integration, the development of health service application systems, and the enhancement of the Health Technology Ecosystem. This article presents an evaluation of the national health infrastructure design as outlined in the Health Digital Transformation Strategy Blueprint 2024. The evaluation is conducted by comparing this blueprint with the recommendations detailed in the Public Health Infrastructure framework, as proposed by the Department of Health and Human Services in the United States. The results of this evaluation indicate that the organizational and ICT aspects have been reasonably well executed within the national Health infrastructure design. However, it also highlights the absence of a strategic plan or dedicated program aimed at enhancing the informatics competencies of public health professionals.

Linguistic interval type 2 fuzzy logic-based Exigency Vehicle routing: IoT system development for smart city applications with soft computing-based optimization

An Exigency Vehicle (EV) has to go more quickly to increase the likelihood that someone in danger would survive. Construction projects, strikes, and accidents may all be avoided with an effective vehicle routing solution. The Internet of Things (IoT) network simulation for Exigency Vehicle routing is proposed in this research utilizing a linguistic interval type 2 fuzzy logic system (LIT2FLS) based data fusion approach. The predicted effectiveness of our model for intelligent city applications, including emergency vehicle routing, is well demonstrated by the LIT2FLS correlation coefficients of 0.994%. This data fusion approach determines the exact level of congestion for a given place by combining sensory data with crowd reactions. In addition, OSRM employs a road communication system to detect real-time traffic variations and choose the least congested route. Furthermore, a sensor station for gathering the speeds and pollutants of moving automobiles on the road has also been established. An Android app has been developed to collect public information on blockages A driver of an Exigency Vehicle (EV) is directed towards a medical facility with the quickest, congestion-aware path by means of the Application software service. We have created an IT2FLS system that assists with decisions to calculate traffic congestion. Analyze the ability to scale and quickness of response associated with the suggested routing strategy.

Implementation of A Blood Donor Information System Using Mobile Applications Gunung Kidul District

Blood donation is a common charitable activity in many communities. Consequently, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in the Gunung Kidul district frequently organizes such humanitarian events across various locations. However, not everyone is aware of these events or is able to participate in blood donation. The lack of information dissemination and blood donation events are significant factors contributing to the low community participation. The existing system for searching, processing, and creating data is still manual, which hinders the efficiency of administrative tasks. Addressing these issues, the aim of this research is to develop an Android-based blood donation information application. This initiative is particularly vital as the PMI in Gunung Kidul lacks the necessary infrastructure to disseminate information about the availability of blood bags efficiently. In the current era of digital advancement, the slow pace of information distribution is notably ineffective, thus integrating the system with Android technology is a strategic solution. sThis blood donation application is designed for donors who lack information about blood donation activities and for organizations wishing to conduct such events. The development of this Android application system involves experimental data collection methods, including observation, interviews, literature study, and documentation. The unit testing employs the Waterfall methodology. The application is developed using the Kotlin programming language, with the aid of Android Studio software

Brain–Computer Interface Integrated With Augmented Reality for Human–Robot Interaction

Brain-computer interface (BCI) has been gradually used in human-robot interaction systems. Steady-state visual evoked potential (SSVEP) as a paradigm of electroencephalography (EEG) has attracted more attention in the BCI system research due to its stability and efficiency. However, an independent monitor is needed in the traditional SSVEP-BCI system to display stimulus targets, and the stimulus targets map fixedly to some pre-set commands. These limit the development of the SSVEP-BCI application system in complex and changeable scenarios. In this study, the SSVEP-BCI system integrated with augmented reality (AR) is proposed. Furthermore, a stimulation interface is made by merging the visual information of the objects with stimulus targets, which can update the mapping relationship between stimulus targets and objects automatically to adapt to the change of the objects in the workspace. During the online experiment of the AR-based SSVEP-BCI cue-guided task with the robotic arm, the success rate of grasping is 87.50 ± 3.10% with the SSVEP-EEG data recognition time of 0.5 s based on FB-tCNN. The proposed AR-based SSVEP-BCI system enables the users to select intention targets more ecologically and can grasp more kinds of different objects with a limited number of stimulus targets, resulting in the potential to be used in complex and changeable scenarios.

Analisis Perancangan Sia Kas Menggunakan Software Microsoft Access 2019 (Studi Kasus Pada Pt Bendara Empat Logistik)

The Accounting Information System is an important part of a company. SIA must be based on certain standards to ensure quality. Cash accounting information systems are one of the most important types of business processes. Cash is the most liquid asset, so it needs to becontrolled properly in order to avoid irregularities. This research will aim to create a Cash Application System that will help the SIA Cash business process the subject of this research. The research method used is qualitative descriptive from the data collected in the form of interviews, documentation files, and observations. In designing this research application, the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method was assisted to analyze the condition of the current AIS. As an application system development, DBMS software is a strict software for designing applications and processing data. this study uses Microsoft Access 2019. The application system is based on the prototype needed by the subject of this research. The output generated from this application is in the form of invoice creation information, order reports, and cash flow reports. Due to SIA's business processes that have not been maximized, the Cash application system was created to support the existing system according to the needs of the research subject.

EOG Based Eye Blink Detection using VB GUI for Eye Writing Applications

Usage of bio-signals from Electro-Oculo-Gram (EOG) in Human Computer Interaction (HCI) systems is one of the burgeoning study areas as of now. In order to provide support for physically challenged persons (or keypad Contactless HCI) in operating basic computer functions without making any physical touch with the computer keypad or mouse, we propose a framework utilization concept that changes movement of cursor on the computer screen using virtual keypad based on Visual Basic Graphical User Interface (VB GUI) with the eye movement detection through webcam of the system for different computer functions. In this work, VB GUI platform is used for a web browsing application and corresponding platform operation steps have been included. With the VB GUI, the basic cursor movements in the directions of left, right, up, and down to access the web links on the web page which is treated as eye writing in the concept of human computer interaction. Similarly, we can access different computer Apps such as MS-Doc, XL sheets, Audio and video files etc. Further, this paper focus is on prototype development of different home automation system applications.

One-gateway system in managing campus information system using microservices architecture

Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) has developed several applications for managing the campus's digital information and management systems, both internally and externally. However, several applications were previously created in the development of information system applications at UMI. However, these applications were not well-suited for long-term use due to their complexity and lack of integration. Therefore, UMI aims to create a fully integrated and well-managed campus information system by implementing the concept of microservices. The microservices approach involves dividing large applications into smaller interconnected components. This approach facilitates the management of application systems and enables better integration. Moreover, the microservices approach simplifies system maintenance for application developers, as each application is separated into smaller components

Development of a Virtual Reality Memory Maze Learning System for Application in Social Science Education

Virtual reality (VR) is a 3D space created by computer graphics technology and immersive devices. In addition to providing a new visual experience, users can also interact with others in the virtual world to address any of their needs. In recent years, the application of virtual reality in the field of education has attracted the attention of more and more people. This study combined virtual reality and concepts of spatial memory in wayfinding and memory palace to develop a VR memory maze learning system based on the seven large-scale expedition voyages of Zheng He (1405–1433) in the early Ming Dynasty of imperial China. The objective is to improve memory and efficiency in learning social science by correlating spatial information and organizational skills in the virtual environment. A teaching experiment has been conducted to explore its impacts on learning effectiveness, learning motivation, and cognitive load, as well as learners’ technology acceptance of the VR system. The analysis results indicate that using the VR system for learning social science can improve learning effectiveness; it can also increase learning motivation and reduce cognitive load. The questionnaire results of the technology acceptance model analysis show that most learners were satisfied with various aspects of this system.

Rhombohedral boron monosulfide as a metal-free photocatalyst

Most of previous photocatalysts contain metal species, thus exploring a metal-free photocatalyst is still challenging. A metal-free photocatalyst has an advantage for the development of economical and non-toxic artificial photosynthesis system and/or environmental purification applications. In this study, rhombohedral boron monosulfide (r-BS) was synthesized by a high-pressure solid-state reaction, and its photocatalytic properties were investigated. r-BS absorbed visible light, and its photocurrent action spectrum also exhibited visible light responsivity. The r-BS evolved hydrogen (H2) from water under ultraviolet (UV) as well as under visible light irradiation, and its internal quantum efficiency reached 1.8% under UV light irradiation. In addition to the H2 evolution reaction, the r-BS photocatalyst drove carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction and dye oxidation reactions under UV irradiation. Although bare r-BS was not so stable under strong light irradiation in water, cocatalyst modification improved its stability. These results indicate that r-BS is a new class of non-metal photocatalyst applicable for H2 production, CO2 reduction, and environmental purification reactions.
