Supporting building life cycle carbon monitoring, reporting and verification: A traceable and immutable blockchain-empowered information management system and application in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Green Building Council introduced the Climate Change Framework for the Built Environment, aimed at enhancing the monitoring and management of life cycle carbon emissions within the building industry. In response to this initiative, this paper presents a novel blockchain-based carbon audit tool designed to facilitate the monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) of embodied carbon in Hong Kong's building sector. Specifically, a consortium blockchain is utilized for system development in this study. The proposed blockchain system records the information pertaining to each stage of the building's life cycle, which is uploaded for storage. The system ensures the traceability, immutability, and transparency of the recorded information. To test and verify the system, it was initially applied to manage and audit the embodied carbon in Hong Kong's building sector in 2020. We anticipate our findings will provide a viable tool for MRV of building life cycle carbon emissions.

The primary objective of emergency pre-examination and triage is to provide the most appropriate clinical service to patients with acute and critical illnesses while ensuring the optimal utilization of limited medical resources. With the advancement of medical information technology, mobile technology, and information management, these features have been gradually incorporated into emergency pre-examination and triage and have shown promising outcomes. In this article, the benefits of implementing mobile technology and the current status of integrated information management to provide a reference for the future development and enhancement of emergency pre-examination and triage are reviewed.

Kesiapan Elemen Support, Capacity Dan Value Untuk Pengembangan E-Government Pada Aplikasi “Miton” Bagian Administrasi Pembangunan Sekretariat Daerah Timor Tengah Utara Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur

This article aims to determine the extent of readiness for e-government development through the Online Integrated Information Management Application (Miton) in the Development Administration Section of the North Central Timor Regional Secretariat, East Nusa Tenggara Province. The problem focuses on 3 (three) important elements of e-Government Development, namely Support Elements, Capacity Elements, and Value Elements based on). To approach this problem, a theoretical reference from Indrajit, and an opinion from Indrajit (Indrajit 2016) was used. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed quantitatively. This study concluded that the average level of readiness of 3 (three) elements of successful e-government development in the Miton application it is 75.5% with the details of each element being as follows: (1) Support Elements are ready at 78.59%, (2) Capacity Elements are ready at 70.75%, (3) Value Elements are ready at 70.75% 77.14 %

Currently, the use of information technology is becoming more widespread, especially in the field of real estate management, which plays an important role. Real estate management occupies an important place in the real estate industry, and it is especially important to strengthen the work on real estate management. As an important way to improve the level of real estate manage information technology not only reduces errors in meter readings, calculations, collection, billing, etc. but it also facilitates communication between different departments and improves the quality of real estate management services. Next, we will first understand the role of information technology in real estate management, then consider existing problems and solutions in real estate management, and finally discuss the application and implementation of real estate information management.

Implementation of public information disclosure policy in the house of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia

Purpose: This study aims to identify how the implementation of the public information disclosure policy in the House of Representatives (DPR) in 2019-2021 is going and to find the right strategies to be implemented so that the DPR can become an informative public body.
 Research methodology: This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach, where primary and secondary data are obtained through in-depth interviews with predetermined key informants, field observations, and literature studies relevant to the research topic.
 Results: The findings show that the implementation of public information disclosure policy in Parliament is still not optimal due to various obstacles in the process of documenting, classifying, managing, and serving public information that are technical, administrative, bureaucratic, and political in nature. DPR needs to start building and developing an internal big data system that is connected to real time public information management and service applications. In addition, the active role of Members and factions in the House in providing public information is also important to support the successful implementation of public information disclosure in the House.

The Role of Information Management in Strategic Operational Decisions for Corporate Crisis Prevention

The purpose of this thesis is to explore the role of information management in strategic operational decision-making for corporate crisis prevention. Information management has an important role in the strategic decision-making of enterprises, and it can help enterprises to obtain, analyze and utilize key information, provide accurate data and intelligence support, and thus effectively prevent potential crises. The purpose of this paper is to explore the role of information management in strategic operational decision-making for corporate crisis prevention and to reveal the specific application and effectiveness of information management in crisis prevention through case studies and theoretical research. Taking the prevention and response to supply chain crisis and the prevention and recovery of brand crisis as case studies, this paper analyzes in detail the specific applications and effects of information management in crisis prevention. In the section on the study of strategic operation optimization decision analysis models, we discuss the design and application of strategic operation optimization decision analysis models and the importance of strategic decision analysis in comprehensive operation sandbox simulation of enterprises. These models and methods can help enterprises to better optimize their decisions and improve the effectiveness of crisis prevention and response.

An Information System for Comprehensive Evaluation of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Services Value: Design and Case Application

The study of natural resources and ecosystem service value assessments is crucial for understanding the direct economic benefits and potential ecological, environmental, and social benefits of these resources. Existing research lacks a comprehensive information management framework design and application exploration for the practice process, and a unified and standardized technical framework has not been established, which makes it difficult to expand the functions in the future. This study uses data from various aspects such as statistical yearbooks, remote sensing satellites, and field studies, and adopts the market value method and alternative cost method to construct a natural resources and ecosystem service value indicator system and a comprehensive evaluation information system, taking Shaanxi Province as an example. The total value of natural resources and ecosystem services in Shaanxi Province is CNY 107.67 trillion, of which the value of natural resources is CNY 105.11 trillion and the value of ecosystem services is CNY 2.56 trillion. This study makes up for the deficiencies in the realization path of the existing natural resources and ecosystem service value accounting studies, solves the problems of a large number of data collection sources, integration of accession criteria, integrated assessment methods, and synchronized assessment updates in natural resources management in Shaanxi Province, and realizes the visualization and information management of natural resources and ecosystem service value accounting.

Perceptions and needs of health professionals concerning health information systems

Background : In recent decades, there has been an increasing interest in patients’ needs and their satisfaction with health systems. Various studies have presented several benefits of information management application in health care. Health information technology can contribute to improving health care services performance, cost savings, and greater engagement of patients in their own health. Therefore, many health care organizations are planning to increase their overall adoption of information technology in their activities. Objectives : The aim of our research is to assess health professionals’ views on the adoption and value of health information systems and to assess their usage. Methods : The research focuses on the use of health information technologies in the National Health System in Greece and was performed using a structured electronic questionnaire answered by 1,216 doctors, nurses, and other health care staff. Results : Among the study sample, 92.11% of the hospitals had installed a Health Information System (HIS). Of the respondents, 86.18% believed that the adoption of HIS was extremely important, and 88.8% reported a high or very high frequency of usage in their workplace. However, in 22.3% of the cases, health professionals highlighted the need for integrated information systems: because there was no connection or information exchange installed within the various (clinical and administrative) information systems, this was considered to be a barrier for the effectiveness and improvement of the health care system. Conclusions : The analysis led to the proposal for an information system based on the needs for information and health professionals’ skills in the field of information and communication technologies.

MEASURES TO MANAGE THE APPLICATION OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING IN HIGH SCHOOLS IN DON DUONG DISTRICT, LAM DONG PROVINCE TO MEET THE EDUCATIONAL DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION ERA

Recognizing the importance of applying information and communication technology in teaching to meet the digital transformation era of education, over the years, high schools in Don Duong district, Lam Dong province has implemented many measures to promote the application of information and communication technology and management of the application of information and communication technology in teaching, initially achieving certain results. By 2021, all high schools in Don Duong district, Lam Dong province will be equipped with multimedia classrooms with full equipment for teaching and learning of teachers and pupils to meet the era of digital transformation of education. However, the management of information and communication technology application in teaching still has many limitations. From that situation analysis, the article has proposed a number of management measures to apply information and communication technology in teaching in high schools in Don Duong district, Lam Dong province to meet the digital transformation era of education. Through testing the necessity and feasibility of seven proposed measures, it was found that: the measures are highly necessary and feasible. An Empirical Study on the Application of Machine Learning for Higher Education and Social Service

The work used the current mature computer technology, machine learning technology, and other high-tech to explore the comprehensive application of educational information management under the Internet to provide educational scientific researchers with a retrieval platform for educational statistical information. Deep learning was used to extract useful network features more effectively and make the machine learning model fully consider the constraints of satisfying the constraints and optimization objectives in the problem. Based on the classification of the restricted Boltzmann machine, the Gauss-binary conditional classification of the restricted Boltzmann machine model was proposed as the routing decision unit, with the given specific training algorithm of the model.

Optimization and Simulation of a Dynamic Management System for Building Construction Based on Low-Power Wireless Sensor Networks

In this paper, we use a low-power wireless sensor network to conduct in-depth research and analysis on the optimization simulation of the dynamic management system of building construction and study the specific application of BIM technology in the information management of building construction sites. By analysing the classical delustering routing and combining the advantages in the delustering routing protocols, we propose a two-level Mesh wireless sensor network delustering routing protocol in terms of cluster head uniformity, energy consumption and balance, working mode, and handling of isolated nodes. The most important feature of this protocol compared to other delustering protocols is that it retains the design of flat network topology and designs three routing methods with the corresponding functions of wireless sensor networks to achieve better network performance. The supported personnel location technology and construction measures and environmental monitoring technology are introduced, the applicability of the technology in the building construction process is compared and analysed, the topology of construction measures and environmental monitoring technology is designed, and finally, the targeted development of the collection scheme for personnel, scaffolding, formwork, pits, cranes, construction hoists, and physical environment is completed. Firstly, it analyses the development status of BIM-based building construction site information management technology and application and discusses the basis of BIM technology implementation and the advantages of BIM technology application in information management. Then, this paper constructs the framework of a BIM-based building construction site information management system from three dimensions: functional, logical, and physical. To ensure the realizability and operability of the system, this paper discusses the operation mechanism of the BIM-based building construction site information management system, studies the key technology of system operation, designs the basic operation process of each application system of the system, and elaborates the organizational structure of the building construction site and the functional division of the relevant personnel.

Improving lecturers’ competence in preparing lesson plans of soil test laboratory and building information management

The insufficient number of lecturers and laboratory assistants has become one of the obstacles faced by STT Pagaralam. In addition, the limited ability of lecturers in mastering Soil Mechanics laboratory equipment and the absence of Semester Learning Plans (RPS) that follow the learning format are still obstacles. The purpose of this community service is to improve the competence of lecturers in preparing the RPS for the soil test laboratory and building Information management. The method used to carry out this community service were workshops and seminars. It was initiated by giving a seminar on the introduction of building information management application followed by 20 students and continued by providing training on the use of tools for five laboratory assistants and the preparation of Semester Learning Plans for five lecturers. The results of the service implementation based on the participant satisfaction questionnaire shows an increase in knowledge on the application of building information management and an increase in competence using laboratory equipment. In addition, the training participants were also provided with modules.

Demographic and socio-economic risk factors associated with self-reported TB.

BACKGROUND: The infectiousness of Mycobacterium tuberculosis is known to be shaped by the human environment, with research showing positive associations with poverty, homelessness and overcrowding, among other factors. In this study, the focus is primarily on environmental health risks for TB, particularly on those associated with sociodemographic and household living conditions in South Africa.METHODS: Data for this study were collected between 2014 and 2019 from a number of sites implementing community-oriented primary care (COPC) in the Gauteng Province of the country. Community health workers (CHWs) used AitaHealthtm, a custom-built mobile information management application, to obtain data on the TB status and environmental conditions of households. Statistical models were used to determine associations between various demographic, socio-economic and environmental risk factors, and TB.RESULTS: Approximately 12,503 TB cases were reported among 7,769 households. Substance use and male-headed households were found to have significant associations in households with at least one individual with TB. Overcrowding, as well as lack of access to piped water and adequate sanitation were also found to be positively associated with a 'TB-household.´CONCLUSION: Improvements in housing and services, particularly the provision of piped water and reticulated flush toilets, are needed to control and prevent TB in South Africa.

Qualitative Study of Participant Impressions as Simulated Patients of MediLinker—A Blockchain-Based Identity Verification Application

Abstract Objective In this study, we obtained participants' views on using MediLinker—a blockchain-based identity verification and personal health information management application. We also gathered their views about the use of blockchain technology for controlling and managing personal health information, especially in the context of a global health crisis such as a pandemic. Methods Online semistructured interviews were conducted with 29 simulated patients (i.e., avatars) who used MediLinker between February and May 2020. Interview data were analyzed qualitatively using a phenomenological approach to thematic analysis. Results Most of the participants noted that they do not know what blockchain is nor understand how it works. Nonetheless, in the context of the study, they trust blockchain as a technology that can enhance data protection and privacy of their personal health information. Participants noted that MediLinker is a useful application that allows patients to easily input, share, and revoke personal health information. As a proof-of-concept application, participants also noted several issues and recommendations that can serve as points of improvement when developing subsequent versions of MediLinker. In the context of using MediLinker as part of a telemedicine system during a pandemic, participants noted that it facilitates social distancing, makes clinical transactions efficient and convenient, and enhances identity verification. Conclusion In general, the findings lay the foundation for a user-centered approach in developing future iterations of MediLinker and other patient-facing blockchain-based health information technologies. Also, the findings provide important insights into how people perceive blockchain-based health information technologies, especially during a pandemic.

Exploring the Intellectual Structure and International Cooperation in Information Management

To make a comprehensive literature review and identify the development trends, this study maps the intellectual structure of the research information management based on co-keyword analysis, the 2-tuple linguistic technique, and social network analysis. This study reveals the intellectual structure by analyzing the topological structure, conceptual structure, and strategic diagram. From the perspective of topological structure, the research of the information management field can be divided into three layers including the nucleus layer, middle layer, and marginal layer. In terms of the conceptual structure, the research of information management can be divided into four sub-fields including health information management, information systems, information technology, and information management application. The four subfields can be repartitioned into seven clusters by using a 2-tuple linguistic model, which means that the 2-tuple linguistic model can improve co-keyword analysis.
