Emerging Nanotechnology in Preclinical Pancreatic Cancer Immunotherapy: Driving Towards Clinical Applications.

The high malignant degree and poor prognosis of pancreatic cancer (PC) pose severe challenges to the basic research and clinical translation of next-generation therapies. The rise of immunotherapy has improved the treatment of a variety of solid tumors, while the application in PC is highly restricted by the challenge of immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. The latest progress of nanotechnology as drug delivery platform and immune adjuvant has improved drug delivery in a variety of disease backgrounds and enhanced tumor therapy based on immunotherapy. Based on the immune loop of PC and the status quo of clinical immunotherapy of tumors, this article discussed and critically analyzed the key transformation difficulties of immunotherapy adaptation to the treatment of PC, and then proposed the rational design strategies of new nanocarriers for drug delivery and immune regulation, especially the design of combined immunotherapy. This review also put forward prospective views on future research directions, so as to provide information for the new means of clinical treatment of PC combined with the next generation of nanotechnology and immunotherapy.

Current status of endoscopic ultrasound-guided antitumor treatment for pancreatic cancer.

Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) was developed in the 1990s and has significantly transformed pancreatic tumor diagnosis. Subsequently, EUS has rapidly shifted from being a purely diagnostic procedure to being used in a wide range of interventional procedures. Recently, new therapeutic techniques, such as EUS-guided fine needle injection (EUS-FNI) or radiofrequency ablation (RFA), have been developed to deliver various antitumor agents. Despite technological advancements, pancreatic cancer (PC) has a poor prognosis and improvements in treatment outcomes are urgently required. One of the reasons for the limited response to antitumor agents in PC is the abundant desmoplasia and hypovascular nature of the tumor, complicating drug delivery into the tumor. Thus, changing the tumor microenvironment may be important to enhance the effectiveness of chemotherapy, and direct injection of antitumor agents into the tumor under EUS guidance can help overcome treatment challenges in PC. Treatment approaches using the EUS-FNI or RFA technique are expected to further improve the prognosis of PC. Therefore, this study reviewed the existing literature on EUS-guided antitumor therapy, specifically highlighting its application in PC to address the current challenges and to identify potential advancements in the field.

Deep Learning Applications in Pancreatic Cancer.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal gastrointestinal malignancies. Despite advances in cross-sectional imaging, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgical techniques, the 5-year overall survival is only 12%. With the advent and rapid adoption of AI across all industries, we present a review of applications of DL in the care of patients diagnosed with PC. A review of different DL techniques with applications across diagnosis, management, and monitoring is presented across the different pathological subtypes of pancreatic cancer. This systematic review highlights AI as an emerging technology in the care of patients with pancreatic cancer.

Enhancing Electric Field Distribution in the Pancreas for Improved TTFields Therapy: A Computational Modeling Investigation.

Tumor treating fields (TTFields) therapy has shown effectiveness in glioblastoma treatment and holds potential for other cancers. However, its application in pancreatic cancer and the distribution of electric fields in pancreas remain unexplored. This study aims to investigate the electric field distributions in pancreatic regions using different array configurations for TTFields therapy. Computational modelling was employed to simulate electric field distributions, and quantitative analysis was conducted. Human body impedance measurements were used to optimize the electric properties of the model. Various array configurations were examined to assess their impact on the electric field distributions. The study revealed that well-positioned arrays, specifically the combination of 20-piece transducer arrays in anterior-posterior orientation and 13-piece transducer arrays in left-right orientation, consistently achieved electric fields exceeding the 1V/cm threshold in over 99.4% of the pancreas. Even with a reduced number of transducers (13 pieces for both orientations), sufficient electric field coverage was achieved, exceeding the threshold in over 92.9% of the pancreas. Additionally, different array placements within the same orientation were explored to address clinical challenges such as skin rash and patient anatomical variations. This research lays the groundwork for understanding TTFields distribution within the abdomen, offering insights into optimizing array configurations for improved electric field delivery. The findings have the potential to guide practical designs of TTFields devices, enhance treatment efficacy, and improve patient outcomes. These results offer promises of advancing TTFields therapy for pancreatic cancer towards clinical applications, and potentially enhancing treatment efficacy and patient outcomes.

Advancements in Microwave Ablation Techniques for Managing Pancreatic Lesions.

Thermal ablation, including microwave ablation, has become increasingly important in the management of many solid tumors, including primary and metastatic tumors of the liver, kidney, and lung. However, its adoption to treat pancreatic lesions has been slowed due to concerns about potential adverse events. The success of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in inoperable pancreatic cancers paved the way for its use in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors and pancreatic cystic neoplasms (PCLs). In the last decade, other thermal ablation techniques, like microwave ablation, have emerged as alternatives to RFA. Microwaves, with frequencies ranging from 900 to 2450 MHz, generate heat by rapidly oscillating water molecules. Microwave ablation's advantage lies in its ability to achieve higher intra-lesion temperatures and uniform heating compared with RFA. Microwave ablation's application in pancreatic cancer and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors has demonstrated promise with similar technical success to RFA. Yet, concern for peri-procedure complications, as well as a dearth of studies comparing RFA and microwave ablation, emphasize the need for further research. No studies have evaluated microwave ablation in PCLs. We herein review thermal ablation's potential to treat pancreatic lesions.

Metabolomics-based discovery of XHP as a CYP3A4 inhibitor against pancreatic cancer.

Background: Xihuang Wan (XHW), a purgative and detoxifying agent, is commonly utilized in modern medicine as a treatment and adjuvant therapy for various malignancies, including breast cancer, liver cancer, and lung cancer. A clinical study demonstrated the potential usefulness of the combination of XHW and gemcitabine as a therapy for pancreatic cancer (PC), indicating that XHW's broad-spectrum antitumor herbal combination could be beneficial in the treatment of PC. However, the precise therapeutic efficacy of XHW in treating pancreatic cancer remains uncertain. Aim: This study assessed the biological activity of XHW by optimizing the therapeutic concentration of XHW (Xihuang pills, XHP). We performed cell culture and developed an animal test model to determine whether XHP can inhibit pancreatic cancer (PC). We also applied the well-known widely targeted metabolomics analysis and conducted specific experiments to assess the feasibility of our method in PC therapy. Materials and Methods: We used UPLC/Q-TOF-MS to test XHP values to set up therapeutic concentrations for the in vivo test model. SW1990 pancreatic cancer cells were cultured to check the effect the anti-cancer effects of XHP by general in vitro cell analyses including CCK-8, Hoechst 33258, and flow cytometry. To develop the animal model, a solid tumor was subcutaneously formed on a mouse model of PC and assessed by immunohistochemistry and TUNEL apoptosis assay. We also applied the widely targeted metabolomics method following Western blot and RT-PCR to evaluate multiple metabolites to check the therapeutic effect of XHP in our cancer test model. Results: Quantified analysis from UPLC/Q-TOF-MS showed the presence of the following components of XHP: 11-carbonyl-β-acetyl-boswellic acid (AKBA), 11-carbonyl-β-boswellic acid (KBA), 4-methylene-2,8,8-trimethyl-2-vinyl-bicyclo [5.2.0]nonane, and (1S-endo)-2-methyl-3-methylene-2-(4-methyl-3-3-pentenyl)-bicyclo [2.2.1heptane]. The results of the cell culture experiments demonstrated that XHP suppressed the growth of SW1990 PC cells by enhancing apoptosis. The results of the animal model tests also indicated the suppression effect of XHP on tumor growth. Furthermore, the result of the widely targeted metabolomics analysis showed that the steroid hormone biosynthesis metabolic pathway was a critical factor in the anti-PC effect of XHP in the animal model. Moreover, Western blot and RT-PCR analyses revealed XHP downregulated CYP3A4 expression as an applicable targeted therapeutic approach. Conclusion: The results of this study demonstrated the potential of XHP in therapeutic applications in PC. Moreover, the widely targeted metabolomics method revealed CYP3A4 is a potential therapeutic target of XHP in PC control. These findings provide a high level of confidence that XHP significantly acts as a CYP3A4 inhibitor in anti-cancer therapeutic applications.

Prognostic, Diagnostic, and Clinicopathological Significance of Circular RNAs in Pancreatic Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Pancreatic cancer (PC) is a highly aggressive malignant tumor with a high mortality rate. It is urgent to find optimal molecular targets for the early diagnosis and treatment of PC. Here, we aimed to systematically analyze the prognostic, diagnostic, and clinicopathological significance of circular RNAs (circRNAs) in PC. Relevant studies were screened through PubMed, Web of Science, and other databases. The prognostic value of PC-associated circRNAs was assessed using the composite hazard ratio (HR), the diagnostic performance was assessed using the area under the summary receiver operator characteristic (SROC) curve (AUC), and the correlation with clinicopathological characteristics using the composite odds ratio (OR) was explored. In our study, 48 studies were included: 34 for prognosis, 11 for diagnosis, and 30 for correlation with clinicopathological characteristics. For prognosis, upregulated circRNAs were associated with poorer overall survival (OS) (HR = 2.02) and disease-free survival/progression-free survival (HR = 1.84) while downregulated circRNAs were associated with longer OS (HR = 0.55). Notably, the combination of circRNAs, including hsa_circ_0064288, hsa_circ_0000234, hsa_circ_0004680, hsa_circ_0071036, hsa_circ_0000677, and hsa_circ_0001460, was associated with worse OS (HR = 2.35). For diagnosis, the AUC was 0.83, and the pooled sensitivity and specificity were 0.79 and 0.73, respectively. For clinicopathologic characteristics, upregulated circRNAs were associated with poorer tumor differentiation, more nerve and vascular invasion, higher T stage, lymphatic metastasis, distant metastasis, advanced TNM stage, and higher preoperative CA19-9 level. In contrast, downregulated circRNAs were negatively associated with PC differentiation and lymphatic metastasis. Overall, our results showed that circRNAs are closely related to the prognosis and clinicopathological characteristics of PC patients and could be utilized for early diagnosis; thus, they are promising biomarkers for clinical application in PC.

Systematic literature reviews (SLR) and meta-analyses (MA) are evidence synthesis tools that can aid Health Technology Assessment (HTA) agencies in making evidence-based decisions. This research aims to (1) describe how SLRs and MA can support HTA submissions, and (2) provide SLR/MA applications to quantify the efficacy of the relevant historical chemotherapies for pancreatic cancer patients.

VG161 activates systemic antitumor immunity in pancreatic cancer models as a novel oncolytic herpesvirus expressing multiple immunomodulatory transgenes.

The VG161 represents the first recombinant oncolytic herpes simplex virus type 1 carrying multiple synergistic antitumor immuno-modulating factors. Here, we report its antitumor mechanisms and thus provide firm theoretical foundation for the upcoming clinical application in pancreatic cancer. Generally, the VG161-mediated antitumor outcomes were analyzed by a collaboration of techniques, namely the single-cell sequencing, airflow-assisted desorption electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry imaging (AFADSI-MSI) and nanostring techniques. In vitro, the efficacy of VG161 together with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) has been successfully shown to grant a long-term antitumor effect by altering tumor immunity and remodeling tumor microenvironment (TME) metabolisms. Cellular functional pathways and cell subtypes detected from patient samples before and after the treatment had undergone distinctive changes including upregulated CD8+ Tand natural killer cells. More importantly, significant antitumor signals have emerged since the administration of VG161 injection. In conclusion, VG161 can systematically activate acquired and innate immunity in pancreatic models, as well as improve the tumor immune microenvironment, indicative of strong antitumor potential. The more robusting antitumor outcome for VG161 monotherapy or in combination with other therapies on pancreatic cancer is worth of being explored in further clinical trials.

Long Non-Coding RNAs in Pancreatic Cancer: Biologic Functions, Mechanisms, and Clinical Significance.

Growing evidence shows that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) might participate in the pathogenesis of PC. This review presents the biogenesis mechanism, classifications, and modes of action of lncRNAs, especially the functions and mechanisms of lncRNAs in PC. It also discusses the clinical significance of lncRNAs in PC.Despite tremendous efforts devoted to research in pancreatic cancer (PC), the mechanism underlying the tumorigenesis and progression of PC is still not completely clear. Additionally, ideal biomarkers and satisfactory therapeutic strategies for clinical application in PC are still lacking. Accumulating evidence suggests that long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) might participate in the pathogenesis of diverse cancers, including PC. The abnormal expression of lncRNAs in PC is considered a vital factor during tumorigenesis that affects tumor cell proliferation, migration, invasion, apoptosis, angiogenesis, and drug resistance. With this review of relevant articles published in recent years, we aimed to summarize the biogenesis mechanism, classifications, and modes of action of lncRNAs and to review the functions and mechanisms of lncRNAs in PC. Additionally, the clinical significance of lncRNAs in PC was discussed. Finally, we pointed out the questions remaining from recent studies and anticipated that further investigations would address these gaps in knowledge in this field.

Actively targeted delivery of SN38 by ultrafine iron oxide nanoparticle for treating pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic cancer remains one of the most lethal cancers largely due to the inefficient delivery of therapeutics. Nanomaterials have been extensively investigated as drug delivery platforms, showing improved drug pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics. However, their applications in pancreatic cancer have not yet been successful due to limited tumor delivery caused by dense tumor stroma and distorted tumor vasculatures. Meanwhile, smaller-sized nanomaterials have shown improved tumor delivery and retention in various tumors, including pancreatic tumors, suggesting their potential in enhancing drug delivery. An ultrafine iron oxide nanoparticle (uIONP) was used to encapsulate 7-ethyl-10-hydroxyl camptothecin (SN38), the water-insoluble active metabolite of pancreatic cancer chemotherapy drug irinotecan. Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) was conjugated to uIONP as a ligand for targeting pancreatic cancer cells overexpressing IGF-1 receptor (IGF1R). The SN38 loading and release profile were characterized. The pancreatic cancer cell targeting using IGF1-uIONP/SN38 and subsequently induced cell apoptosis were also investigated. IGF1-uIONP/SN38 demonstrated a stable drug loading in physiological pH with the loading efficiency of 68.2 ± 3.5% (SN38/Fe, wt%) and < 7% release for 24h. In tumor-interstitial- and lysosomal-mimicking pH (6.5 and 5.5), 52.2 and 91.3% of encapsulated SN38 were released over 24h. The IGF1-uIONP/SN38 exhibited specific receptor-mediated cell targeting and cytotoxicity Ato MiaPaCa-2 and Panc02 pancreatic cancer cells with IC50 of 11.8 ± 2.3 and 20.8 ± 3.5nM, respectively, but not to HEK293 human embryonic kidney cells. IGF1-uIONP significantly improved the targeted SN38 delivery to pancreatic cancer cells, holding the potential for in vivo theranostic applications.

Perspectives of gold nanoparticles and their applications in pancreatic cancer (Review)

Nanoparticles (NPs) represent a major point of interest in the scientific field, with an increasing number of studies revealing promising results. Nano-oncology is a relatively new area of research that continues to expand, revealing new perspectives in both diagnosing and treating cancer. Treating pancreatic cancer (PC) remains a major challenge, with modest positive results, thus an increasing number of studies have focused on this disease. Out of all the NPs that have been used in experimental studies, gold NPs (GNPs) appear to be the most efficient, with little systemic toxicity. This review aims to summarize the latest studies that reveal the effects that GNPs have on PC cells, focusing on different ways in which they can be used to diagnose this disease, to induce apoptosis or cause cytotoxicity in cancer cells. Although literature has limited data concerning this specific topic, the results are promising. However more studies are required until GNPs can be used in clinical practice.

Chemotherapeutic efficacy of cucurmosin for pancreatic cancer as an alternative of gemcitabine: a comparative metabolomic study.

As the preferred drug for single chemotherapeutic application in pancreatic cancer, gemcitabine often demonstrated low sensitivity and strong chemotherapy resistance in patients. Therefore, the search for other drugs with high efficiency and low side effects has become of high importance. The aim of this study was to assess the therapeutic effects of cucurmosin on pancreatic cancer as an alternative of gemcitabine and explore its underlying biochemical mechanism. The subcutaneous xenograft mice with pancreatic cancer were treated by high- and low-dose cucurmosin and gemcitabine, respectively. A comparative metabolomic analysis was performed on the serum samples from the different groups by 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques and then subjected to univariate and multivariate statistical analysis. Cucurmosin demonstrated a dose-dependent inhibition to the pancreatic tumors. High-dose cucurmosin provided similar chemotherapeutic efficacy with gemcitabine by positively regulating pyruvate metabolism, glycolysis or gluconeogenesis, and cysteine and methionine metabolism. Inactivating GFR signaling pathway and further inducing apoptosis of tumor cells are the important mechanism of anti-tumor function of cucurmosin. Cucurmosin is a promising chemotherapeutic drug for pancreatic cancer. However, the dose selection and surface modification should be optimized according to the stage of pancreatic cancer, and an expanded study in both laboratory and clinical regimes needs to be performed.

Molecular Screening for Nigericin Treatment in Pancreatic Cancer by High-Throughput RNA Sequencing.

Objectives: Nigericin, an antibiotic derived from Streptomyces hygroscopicus, has been proved to exhibit promising anti-cancer effects on a variety of cancers. Our previous study investigated the potential anti-cancer properties in pancreatic cancer (PC), and demonstrated that nigericin could inhibit the cell viabilities in concentration- and time-dependent manners via differentially expressed circular RNAs (circRNAs). However, the knowledge of nigericin associated with long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) and mRNA in pancreatic cancer (PC) has not been studied. This study is to elucidate the underlying mechanism from the perspective of lncRNA and mRNA.Methods: The continuously varying molecules (lncRNAs and mRNAs) were comprehensively screened by high-throughput RNA sequencing.Results: Our data showed that 76 lncRNAs and 172 mRNAs were common differentially expressed in the nigericin anti-cancer process. Subsequently, the bioinformatics analyses, including Gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis, coding and non-coding co-expression network, cis- and trans-regulation predictions and protein-protein interaction (PPI) network, were applied to annotate the potential regulatory mechanisms among these coding and non-coding RNAs during the nigericin anti-cancer process.Conclusions: These findings provided new insight into the molecular mechanism of nigericin toward cancer cells, and suggested a possible clinical application in PC.

MIF inhibitor, ISO-1, attenuates human pancreatic cancer cell proliferation, migration and invasion in vitro, and suppresses xenograft tumour growth in vivo

This study sought to investigate the biological effects of specific MIF inhibitor, ISO-1, on the proliferation, migration and invasion of PANC-1 human pancreatic cells in vitro, and on tumour growth in a xenograft tumour model in vivo. The effect of ISO-1 on PANC-1 cell proliferation was examined using CCK-8 cell proliferation assay. The effect of ISO-1 on collective cell migration and recolonization of PANC-1 cells was evaluated using the cell-wound closure migration assay. The effect of ISO-1 on the migration and invasion of individual PANC-1 cells in a 3-dimensional environment in response to a chemo-attractant was investigated through the use of Transwell migration/invasion assays. Quantitative real time PCR and western blot analyses were employed to investigate the effects of ISO-1 on MIF, NF-κB p65 and TNF-α mRNA and protein expression respectively. Finally, a xenograft tumor model in BALB/c nude mice were used to assess the in vivo effects of ISO-1 on PANC-1-induced tumor growth. We found high expression of MIF in pancreatic cancer tissues. We demonstrated that ISO-1 exerts anti-cancer effects on PANC-1 cell proliferation, migration and invasion in vitro, and inhibited PANC-1 cell-induced tumour growth in xenograft mice in vivo. Our data suggests that ISO-1 and its derivative may have potential therapeutic applications in pancreatic cancer.

Dilemma and Challenge of Immunotherapy for Pancreatic Cancer.

Pancreatic cancer is a tumor with a high degree of malignancy, morbidity, and mortality. Immunotherapy is another important treatment for pancreatic cancer in addition to surgery and chemotherapy, but its application in pancreatic cancer is very limited, which is related to the unique biological behavior of pancreatic cancer and the tumor microenvironment. The immunosuppressive microenvironment of pancreatic cancer is highly heterogeneous and presents challenges for immunotherapy. The transformation of tumor immunosuppressive microenvironment contributes to the response to tumor immunotherapy, such that the tumor undergoes functional reprogramming to change from immunologically "cold" to immunologically "hot." In this review, we summarized the research and progress in immunotherapy for pancreatic cancer, including immune checkpoint inhibitors, vaccines, adoptive T cell therapy, oncolytic viruses, and immunomodulators, and suggest that individualized, combination, and precise therapy should be the main direction of future immunotherapy in pancreatic cancer.

Endocytosis of ATB0,+(SLC6A14)-targeted liposomes for drug delivery and its therapeutic application for pancreatic cancer

ABSTRACT Background SLC6A14 (ATB0,+), a Na+/Cl–coupled transporter for neutral/cationic amino acids, is overexpressed in many cancers; It has been investigated as a target for improved liposomal drug delivery to treat liver cancer. Research design and methods Here we explored the mechanism of ATB0,+-mediated entry of such liposomes. As ATB0,+ is highly expressed in pancreatic cancer, we also examined the therapeutic utility of ATB0,+-targeted liposomal drug delivery to treat this cancer. Results The uptake of lysine-conjugated liposomes (LYS-LPs) was greater in ATB0,+-positive MCF7 cells. The uptake process consisted of two steps: binding and internalization. The binding of LYS-LPs to MCF7 cells was higher than that of bare liposomes, and the process was dependent on Na+ and Cl−, and inhibitable by ATB0,+ substrates or blocker. In contrast, the internalization step was independent of lysine. The cellular entry of LYS-LPs facilitated by ATB0,+ occurred via endocytosis with transient endosomal degradation of ATB0,+ protein with subsequent recovery. Moreover, LYS-LPs also enhanced the uptake and cytotoxicity of gemcitabine in these cells in an ATB0,+-dependent manner. Conclusions We conclude that ATB0,+ could be exploited for targeted drug delivery in the form of lysine-conjugated liposomes and that the approach represents a novel strategy for enhanced pancreatic cancer therapy.

Current progress of circular RNA and the application in pancreatic cancer

With insidious onset and dismal prognosis, mortality of pancreatic cancer is very high, and incidence in younger patients of China is increasing. Early detection and specific treatment are able to modify the prognosis and prolong the survival of patients. So exploration of new diagnostic method and development of novel therapy target are still the key points in research of pancreatic cancer. As an important part of non-coding RNA, circular RNA (circRNA) has been proven to be involved in the genesis, progress and prognosis. When concerned as diagnostic marker and pharmaceutic target, circRNA has more advantages than others for its stable structure, extensive distribution and specificity of tissue. Because of the connection with exosomes, the researches of exosome make a big effort on translation of circRNA in the clinical management of malignant tumors. This paper will review the latest progress of circRNA and focus on the current research and possible future application of circRNA in pancreatic cancer. Clinical Applications of Circulating Tumour DNA in Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma.

Pancreatic adenocarcinoma remains one of the most aggressive cancers with an ongoing dismal survival rate despite some recent advances in treatment options. This is largely due to the typically late presentation and limited effective therapeutic options in advanced disease. There are numerous circulating biomarkers that have potential clinical application as tumour markers, including circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA), circulating tumour cells (CTCs), cell-free RNA (cfRNA), exosomes and circulating tumour proteins. This review will focus on the development of ctDNA as a non-invasive liquid biopsy, with its high sensitivity and specificity having potential clinical applications in pancreatic cancer. These include a role in screening, prognostication via the detection of minimal residual disease, early detection of recurrence, and for patients with advanced disease; tumour genotyping and monitoring treatment response. Prospective randomised adjuvant clinical trials are currently underway, exploring the impact of ctDNA-guided adjuvant therapy decisions. In this review, we provide perspectives on the current literature and considerations of future directions.

Position emission tomography imaging in pancreatic cancer: recent progress and future directions

Pancreatic cancer (PC) is one of the leading causes of cancer death worldwide. Limited therapeutic options are available. Therefore, how to detect early-stage tumors and how to monitor treatment efficacy and outcomes to allow timely salvage therapies are of crucial importance. Position emission tomography (PET) imaging provides more tumor-associated functional, biochemical and molecular information, without some of the intrinsic limitations of traditional imaging modalities. PET is highlighted as a potential tool to help better understand the mechanism of PC and personalize individual therapeutic regimens. In this review, we outline the available PET imaging modalities and their prospective applications in PC.
