Design of Mobile Learning for Mathematics Subjects on Building Volume Materials for Class V Students at SD Negeri 1 Jatikuwung, Karanganyar

Education plays a significant role in enriching people's lives and building a better future. Mathematics has universal characteristics and has an important role in various fields of science. Grade V students at SD Negeri 01 Jatikuwung, Karanganyar. There is still a lack of interest in learning mathematics in the material of geometric volumes. Mobile Learning can help increase students' interest in learning mathematics. In making this mobile learning using the MIT App Inventor software. The design of mobile learning uses the ADDIE research method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). This mobile learning design was also tested using Black Box testing, from Black box testing how many functionalities of the 9 tests the results were "valid" and resulted in a comparison of 9/9 x 100% = 100%. The data collection method used a questionnaire with five question indicators that were tested on the principal and homeroom teacher of class V, and this test resulted in a score of 88%, with the "Very Good" criterion. can increase the learning interest of fifth grade students, as reflected in the student questionnaire score of 74% with the "Good" criteria

Effectiveness of Using MIT App Inventor as an Android-Based Learning Media

Massive updates on technology make teachers have to be more extra in determining the learning materials and media used. The technology used must be up-to-date and provide good results as a learning medium that must be used. Technological developments must truly be transferable as learning media, given that Revolution 5.0 is targeting innovation and development in more sophisticated technologies such as AI, IoT, and robots. Humans can slowly be replaced with machines and everything may be computerized. By being given knowledge from now on, at least students have provisions for the future. The process of transferring knowledge is not only done by speaking in front of the class, the process also requires media or intermediaries to bridge it so that the process of transferring knowledge becomes more optimal and faster. The use of appropriate learning media can certainly make students better understand what is being taught. On this basis, the purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using Mit App Inventor as a learning medium. The method used is Descriptive Quantitative. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to students of SMK 1 Muhammadiyah Bima who had used Mit App Inventor in their learning process. The results of this study indicate that the use of Mit App Inventor at SMK 1 Muhammadiyah Bima is effective. The first indicator "Platform Quality" gets a percentage of 88.5%, the second indicator "Student Understanding" gets a percentage of 93.9%, the third indicator gets a percentage of "Student Preference" 81.2% and the fourth indicator "Benefits Obtained" gets a percentage 80.3%. It can be said that Mit App Inventor is of good quality, easy to understand, and provides good benefits for the learning process.

APLIKASI PRESENSI PERKULIAHAN MAHASISWA MENGGUNAKAN QR-CODE DAN LOCATION BASED SERVICE BERBASIS ANDROID

Technological advancements have had a significant impact on life, including work and education. In the era of globalization, technological development is very important, including in the learning process. Attendance is an important aspect of student performance assessment. However, the manual timekeeping system has problems such as fraud, low accuracy, and data entry errors. This study aims to design conferencing applications that use QR codes and location-based services (LBS) to simplify and accelerate attendance management. The development method used is prototyping, which allows interaction between developers and users. This application is built using App Inventor on Android operating system, allowing to scan QR codes for class attendance. Attendance data is automatically stored in Google Drive for recording and report generation that teachers can flexibly access. The application of this technology is expected to increase the efficiency and accuracy of attendance as well as the quality of the learning process in higher education institutions.

An Application for Smartphones and Computers to Diagnose and Control Potatoes Insects

Nowadays, a strong relationship between the agriculture sectors and digital technologies is really interesting. The article describes how recent intelligent technologies can improve agricultural fields. Mobile applications are software programs created on smartphones, tablets, and computers. Agricultural fields mainly represent the pillar of the economy and the business sector that fulfills the world's food requirements. The United States has a valuable rank in potato production, which depends on this production economically. Nevertheless, so many insects affect potato yield production quantitatively and qualitatively. So, a smartphone App was created to help potato growers diagnose insects that directly attack potato crops and treat them. The created App focuses on a list of the common insects that attack potato crops in Maine State. App Inventor Platform, run by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), was used to develop the application. Insect images and insecticides information were collected from the Cooperative Extension Department at Presque Isle City, Aroostook County, Maine, USA. The App provides essential details regarding insect types, life cycles, where they are coming from, and the time of attacking the plants. The App includes a list of effective insecticides that control insects. The App also provides helpful instructions concerning trade names, dose per acre of insecticides, and whether it should be applied to soil or plant leaves. Money and time are saved by applying this App since farmers do not need to spend time collecting samples and bringing them to the lab.

Remote Control Car System using Bluetooth HC-05 with Android Smartphone

Remote control car is a miniature car with a smaller size, which is controlled directly by remote or joystick using the HC-05 bluetooth module with the android smartphone application. Making a remote control car using Wemos R1 D1 as a microcontroller and four DC motors to drive the wheels of a remote control car. At this writing it was done to test the remote control car system with an application created using the MIT APP Inventor. In this test it was found that the remote control car system can work well at a distance of 0-20 meters and there is a difference in delay for each command used.

Fuzzy Logic Implementation In Internet Of Things Technology For Foging Greenhouse Plants

Misting of plants in a greenhouse has an important role in maintaining the environmental humidity that plants need. Obstacles faced to maintain the humidity of the plant environment is the use of a thermometer as a measuring tool and misting is still manual. Based on these problems, this research presents an automatic misting system for plants in a greenhouse using the fuzzy logic method. The process of taking data on the temperature and humidity of the plant environment in the greenhouse is from the DHT11 sensor value which is read by the microcontroller to be stored in the Firebase cloud database, the temperature and humidity data in the cloud database is sent and displayed in real-time by an android application built with the MIT tool App Inventor 2. Apart from displaying temperature and humidity data from Firebase, the Android application also processes it using fuzzy logic to produce PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) values to set the fog time. The fuzzy logic method was chosen to map input data problems to output data in conducting fog control. From the sensor test, the results obtained from the comparison of DHT11 sensor readings have an average error of 2.73%. The duration of watering is carried out using Fuzzy logic, the total amount of watering in a day is 2,500 ml of water with a duration of 75 seconds, so that the fogging with the fuzzy logic method is in accordance with the conditions needed in the greenhouse room.

Rancang Bangun Aplikasi Pemantauan Detak Jantung dan Pelacakan Lokasi bagi Penderita Lemah Jantung Berbasis IoT dan Android

Weak heart is a medical condition that reduces the heart's ability to heat blood throughout the body with optimal efficiency. People with weak heart need regular monitoring regarding their heart condition. Under normal conditions, they should measure the heart rate regularly otherwise a weak heart can lead to serious complications such as acute heart failure or arrhythmias. By using the application, people with heart failure can monitor early signs and symptoms that might indicate complications. The data collected by the application can assist in detecting early changes that are potentially harmful to the patient's health. In this study, the authors designed and developed an IoT and Android-based heart rate monitoring and location tracking system using the prototype method. The prototype method is used in the process of developing this system because it is capable of producing initial prototypes of tools and applications that can be used for testing and validating concepts before carrying out a full implementation. This system consists of two main components, the first is a component of hardware (hardware) and the second is a component of software (software). The hardware used is a pulse sensor that is connected to an Android device via a wireless connection. This sensor is able to detect the patient's heart rate in real-time and send it to the Android device for further processing. In addition, this system is also equipped with a GPS tracking module that allows traveling to the user's location accurately. Software developed using the App Inventor platform. This Android application has an easy-to-use user interface. This application can display real-time heart rate data in graphical form and provide notifications if a significant change is detected in the patient's heart rate. In addition, this application can also display the patient's location on an interactive map. The test results show that this system is capable of monitoring the patient's heart rate with high accuracy and sending data in real-time to an Android device. In addition, tracking the location of the patient's whereabouts was also successfully carried out with an adequate level of precision. This system provides great benefits in monitoring and treating patients with heart failure, enabling medical staff and the patient's family to take quick and appropriate action if there is a significant change in the patient's heart rate or if the patient is in an emergency situation

Development of Economics Teaching Materials Using Android-Based Mit App Software

The purpose of this research is to develop Android-based economic teaching materials using App Inventor Software. To find out the effectiveness of Android-based economic teaching materials using the App Inventor Software for student independence in learning. The method used in this research development is a modified Borg & Gall model with four steps of initial product development, design validation, product trials and validation. The results of the study showed that the validation of the material expert was workable with an average score of 84%. The assessment of the validator of the media expert is quite decent with an average score of 83.3%. After the validation process was carried out, then continued to a small group trial consisting of 5 students of class X by 92.2% and economics teachers. The results obtained are feasible with an average score of 95%. For field trials also received a decent rating of 88.1% of the responses of 15 students. 100% of teacher responses in economics. The development of Android-based economic teaching materials is declared feasible to improve student learning outcomes because the results of the classical completeness analysis is over 85% which is 93%.

PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA BERBASIS ANDROID PADA MATA PELAJARAN DESAIN MULTIMEDIA INTERAKTIF (DMI) DI SMK NEGERI 1 SIJUNJUNG

The goal to be achieved in this study is to find out the valid and practical characteristics of the Interactive Multimedia Design subject at SMK Negeri 1 Sijunjung, the method used is Research and Development (R&D), while the development model used is the ADDIE development model, namely the development which consists of five stages, namely, Analysis (analysis), Design (design), Development (development), Implementation (implementation), and Evaluation (evaluation). Research on the development of the ADDIE model was carried out only up to the Development stage, because the purpose of this research was only limited to developing and producing a valid and practical learning media, to be implemented. Making learning media in this Android-based interactive multimedia design subject uses the MIT App Inventor. The validity test of this Android-based learning media was carried out by 3 validators, namely the media validator and the material validator, for the media validator it was carried out by 3 lecturers, while the material validation was carried out by 1 lecturer and 2 teachers who teach interactive multimedia design subjects at SMKN 1 Sijunjung. the validation results of media experts were 0.903% in the valid category and material experts were 0.859% in the valid category. Android-based learning media is declared valid. The practicality Test of Android-based learning media from teacher practicality data is 91.66% in the very practical category.

STORAGE ROOM TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY MONITORING IOT- BASED MEDICINE

This research is important as it portrays a notable advancement in current internet technology known as the Internet of Things (IoT), which facilitates advanced services through the interconnection of physical and virtual objects. One crucial aspect of everyday life is air quality, especially indoors, as indoor air pollution differs from outdoor air pollution. An important indicator to determine the cleanliness of a room is its humidity level. In this context, this research holds significant relevance as it can help ensure the effectiveness and safety of stored medications under appropriate temperature and humidity conditions. Therefore, this study designed a drug storage room that requires a tool to measure the humidity value of the room in real time and the humidity conditions in the room. The solution to this problem can be overcome using Internet of Things technology. In this project, a hygrometer, or humidity meter, based on Internet of Things technology is made. Humidity is measured by the DHT-11 sensor, which is integrated on the NodeMCU ESP8266 board. Humidity measurement data can be observed via the Blynk IoT platform available on smartphones. With this tool, humidity can be observed in real time, even from a distance. The results of this study are that the tool can measure the temperature and humidity of the medicine room, and the tool can send humidity and temperature measurement data to the Blynk IoT and MIT APP Inventor servers. On the Blynk IoT website, the dashboard can display temperature, humidity, and drug safety measurement data in real time.

Portable Smart Emergency System Using Internet of Things (IOT)

The portable smart emergency system is a pre-test tool, implemented using a set of modern devices and technologies to monitor the patient's health. This tool has capability to send reports of the patient to the doctor treating the patient as well as to the relatives, close friends of the patient in real time. Health parameters of the patient viz. heart rate, blood oxygen and temperature are monitored using electronic devices viz. WEMOS D1, MAX30100, DS18B20, SIM808 on the LCD screen and stored using the MySQL database. PHP script is used to connect MySQ database for easy tracking and analysis of medical data. Doctors are facilitated to monitor the health update in real time, at the same time, communicate the same to the patient and their relatives, close friends through a dynamic web site constituted of HTML, CSS and JavaScript for the purpose of easy tracking and analysis of the medical data. To aid further, as a part of value addition, an Android based mobile app is also developed by using App Inventor to further facilitate patients, family members & close friends to monitor sensor data, receive messages and access medical history details, all in real time. Terminal cases, where the health update received from the sensor shows alarmingly high or low readings, then web enabled computing system, also sends a high alert message by playing a warning sound to the doctor, at the same time, also communicates patient’s location to him via text message to enable immediate help. By using Wi-Fi technology and the SIM808 module, the patient's location can be monitored in emergency situations and a text message containing the patient's geographical location can be sent to the treating doctor. This application also includes an option to enter the patient's medical history information using a PHP script into the database.

Interactive Multimedia Research Trends in Higher Education: A Review of Assisted Literature NVivo 12 Pro

The rapid use of technology in lecture activities, especially the use of interactive multimedia since the pandemic conditions and until now, has attracted researchers to comprehensively analyze patterns of interactive multimedia utilization. This study aims to provide information on the pattern of interactive multimedia utilization and its development to date. The research method adopted a qualitative design, through a review of various studies from 2020 to 2023, and a literature search using the free Publish or Perish program. Further reduction and screening processes were carried out using the PRISMA method. The final results of the articles that have been selected are then mapped and codified with NVivo Pro 12 program, including the development and use of interactive multimedia in universities. In the development of interactive multimedia in the university, literature is grouped into forms of interactive multimedia and tools in designing interactive multimedia. The use of interactive multimedia in institutions is grouped into two, including the types of interactive multimedia used and how the impact of the use of interactive multimedia on lecture activities. Results obtained 1) Multimedia forms developed in universities include E-modules, Software, Websites, Android applications, Autoplay, Classpoint, E-learning, and tutorial models; 2) equipment in designing interactive multimedia including Kwisoft Flopbook Maker, live streaming, Macromedia Flash, Microsoft Way, Moodle, Adobe Flash Professional CS6.5, App Inventor 2, Autocad, Power Point, and Courselab 2.4; 3) types of interactive multimedia used in learning activities in universities include Android applications, Macromedia Flash, Lectora Inspire software, Adobe Flash, Adobe Premiere, and E-learning; 4) The effect of interactive multimedia on lecture activities can increase interest or motivation, also have an impact on student achievement.

Development of a Mobile Application to Study Sewing Techniques for Manufacturing Fur and Leather Clothes

Abstract The global COVID-19 crisis has led to the international isolation of educational institutions, which have had to adapt to changing ways of presenting the information. Mobile applications are the future of the education sector, leading toward its development. The study aims to develop a mobile application to support learning the peculiarities of leather and fur garment manufacturing sewing techniques. The mobile app “TechLab” was developed by using MIT App Inventor. The article proves the effectiveness of its use in the educational space based on social surveys among teachers and students at different levels of education.

ANALISIS KELAYAKAN APP-INVENTOR SEBAGAI BAHAN AJAR MATAKULIAH MOBILE PROGRAMMING MENGGUNAKAN METODE SYSTEM USABILITY SCALE

Media in the learning process is a tool or intermediary in the delivery of learning material that can provide more knowledge and experience to students. The advantage of App Inventor lies in the ease of programming, where users do not need to have basic programming knowledge, understand code, or have experience in IT, but the most important thing in making applications using App Inventor is how programmers use logic like when someone puts together a puzzle. . In this research, a feasibility study and analysis was carried out using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method so that it could improve the quality of learning and the novelty of teaching materials in the Makassar Professional STMIK environment. The sampling technique used in this research is random sampling or probability sampling. Based on the results of the recapitulation of the respondents' assessment, the average usability of the system was 72.83, then the grade of the assessment was determined. It was concluded that the results of the Recap of Usability Values showed that all attributes had a usability acceptance value by the user, the average value was above 68.00, namely 72.83. For Android users to be able to use APP-Inventor properly so that it is useful to support special learning activities in the Mobile Programming course.

Development of Practicum Tools for Measuring Temperature and Air Humidity Based on Microcontroller by Telemetric

The purpose of this research is to make a temperature measuring instrument for air temperature and humidity on the device using the DHT11 sensor as a temperature and humidity sensor for the object under study, the ATMega328P CH340G microcontroller as data processing and the Bluetooth HC-05 module as an intermediary communication between the device and a smartphone. , utilizing App Inventor technology as a means of information quickly and accurately. The research method used in this study is the research and development method or known as research and development (R&D). This measuring tool is made using the Arduino Uno R3 module, which is programmed using the Arduino programming language. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that: 1) The measuring instrument is designed to be able to measure temperature and humidity in a place/room continuously, 2) the system can provide precise and accurate information on the temperature and humidity of the device to the user. The additional result is that apart from practical measuring tools it can also be used as a wireless monitoring tool for temperature and humidity for swiftlet houses which is useful for solving temperature and humidity problems in swiftlet houses as well as outputs of Intellectual Property Rights Products.

Cultivation of Students' Computational Thinking under the New Curriculum

In April 2022, the Compulsory Education Information Technology Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition) were introduced, and the curriculum concept mentions "selecting curriculum content that emphasises both scientific principles and practical applications" and "advocating authentic learning" to focus on cultivating students' integration of theory and practice. It also explicitly focuses on the development of students' computational thinking. An action research approach is used to design a multifunctional intelligent recognition software and to learn and design with learners to gain a better understanding of the App Inventor platform. Through the design of this software, the experience of designing software development based on the App Inventor platform is summarised on the one hand, and how to improve students' computational thinking in the design process on the other.

The Design of a New 3D Print-in-place Soft Four-Legged Robots with Artificial Intelligence

Soft and flexible robots are designed to change their flexibility over a wide range to perform tasks adequately in real-world applications. Current soft robots require cast moulding, high assembly effort and large actuators. Soft origami structures exhibit high levels of compliance. In this paper, we designed a new 3D print-in-place soft four-legged robot (3DSOLR). Our soft legged robot is an endurance application adapted from the soft origami zigzag gripper. This novel and innovative design are inspired by the rigid joint Theo Jansen legged robot with highly adaptive 3D print-in-place soft origami legs capable of fluid motion and even surviving drop tests. The robot mechanism consists of four soft origami flexible legs driven by two DC motors. The 3DSOLR is lightweight and semi-autonomous using two Hall effect sensors and a wireless Bluetooth module. Being 3D print-in-place using Thermoplastic polyurethane also increases its durability while having flexibility, simplicity and safety. The robot also has a gripper inspired by the mandible of male European stag beetle (Lucanus cervus). These features make this robot suitable to be used in social robotics and rescue robotics applications. The transmitter program is implemented in Bluetooth serial communication using MIT App Inventor 2 smartphone apps and a microcontroller Arduino ATMEL is used as the main controller and code in Arduino IDE. It has artificial intelligence (AI) capability with ESP32 CAM onboard which has an object classification accuracy of 95.5% using custom Edge Impulse neural network MobileNetV1 96 x 96. This AI capability enhanced the robot’s capability in object classification for grasping.

Drying kinetics and image-based identification of drying end point during parboiling of komal chawal

During the process of parboiling, steamed rice goes through a process of drying till a suitable moisture content for storage. This work is based on classifying suitable moisture content of less than 13% for storage. Further, this classification is used for estimating the end point of drying based on images of rice taken out at different time intervals. The drying process is a basic process for food technologists and involves mathematical modeling to determine the process parameters. Optimal drying time calculation to achieve desired moisture content involves the use of mathematical modeling. There are two ways of calculating the end point. One is using already existing drying models, e.g., Page, Newton, etc., with time as a factor; the other is using FF- ANN with one hidden layer with drying time and temperature as a factor; and for theoretical understating of the diffusion process, the analytical solution of Fick's law was studied. The other method involves using extrinsic data like the RGB values and pixel values of images mapped with moisture content classes predicted using machine learning models. This study aims to show how RGB data-based machine learning models for classification gives real time solutions to problems like calculating the final moisture content after drying of parboiled brown rice. Digital images were used as input, pixel values were used as features, and the images were labeled into two categories: A (moisture greater than 13%) and B (less than or equal to 13%). For this purpose, the dataset used consists of the moisture content of samples at different times (0–180 min) and temperatures (40, 50, and 60 °C) of drying in a tray dryer. Semi empirical models were evaluated, and Modified-Page showed the best fitting, The Feed forward Artificial Neural Network was observed to show an accuracy of 0.882 based on the least square error. A convolutional neural network (CNN) was used to map the image pixel data to classify the rice sample based on moisture content with a validation accuracy of 0.79 and a test accuracy of 0.74. Similarly, RGB values-based ML models like CART showed better accuracy of 0.92 approximately. Lastly, a simple calculator for an android application was built in MIT App Inventor by selecting the best fitted model of classification (LR, KNN, NB, or SVM) based on RGB values as the features.

IMPLEMENTATION OF STOCK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH A SMART TROLLEY

A system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) will be used to control kitchen, grocery store, and medical inventories through quantity checking with RFID. Stock atsupermarkets will surely start to fall in the racks due to an increase in customers. A new method that uses RFID is available to swiftly identify how much stock is left in each rack. The RFID reader periodically notifies the backend system of the items that are there and their movements when the tag is scanned. This helps with product positioning and inventory control. The RFID database saves each item's specifications so that the salesperson can quickly retrieve stock information, such as how many goods are stillon the rack and their precise location. When the stock decreases, a warning message will be displayed. There is a cart that fills the rack if the stock drops. In order for the salesperson to plan howto stock the rack in the supermarket using the android application developed by MIT app inventor, a portable robot is installed under the trolley that is led by users from the entry door to the items location. This allows the salesperson tocontrol the trolley by instructing it.

An Efficient Intelligent Oil Well Monitoring System for Niger Delta Oil Fields

Oil well monitoring has metamorphosed over the years from Dump Wells completion and the era of permanent gauges through to the hydraulic control wells until this era of intelligent Well completion. These efforts are geared towards an era where Well data can be collected and interpreted with no human intervention. The aim is to improve recovery (optimization), minimized OPEX and CAPEX, and general efficiency. However, intelligent monitoring by virtue of intelligent Well completion is still an expensive venture. The paper presents an efficient IoT-based monitoring system whereby an ESP32 microcontroller and sensors are used to monitor the Well pressure, temperature, level, and flow rate on a real-time basis. The data from the oil well is available to the user at any remote location because the sensor data is sent to a cloud service on the internet. The cloud service used is the MQTT protocol and the MIT APP Inventor. The sensor data is also viewed in an android Mobile App
