The ultrathin low-molecular-weight (LMW) polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) layer clearly provides chemical extreme wettability without any change of physical parameters. Contact printing of a PDMS stamp can easily achieve a layer, which induces numerous hydroxyl groups via photochemical oxidation. The layer-induced extreme wettability exhibits a superior antifogging performance on spectacle lenses without any effects on the optical prescription.
