Atomic Structure and Chemical Elements (Islamic Perspective) Book as a Learning Resource

This research is a detailed examination of the development of the chemistry educational sources. The aims of the research are to describe (1) the validity of teaching material (2) the students' responses to the teaching material developed. The type of research is research and development (R&D), with model 4D by Thiagarajan. The stages development of 4D are define, design, develop and desseminate. The subjects of this study are students and lecturers of UIN Antasari. The data collection techniques and instruments used in this study are interview guides, questionnaires and observations. Based on the results of expert validation: validation of material experts with an average of 81% with the criteria "Very Valid" and validation of media experts with an average of 83.4% with the criteria "Very Valid" state that the teaching material developed is very valid and is suitable as teaching material. The percentage score of 91.6% with the "Very Good" criteria is obtained from the responses of 10 chemistry education students of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin to the teaching material developed. Eksperimen Penerapan Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (PJBL) pada Peningkatan Kreativitas Anak Usia Dini

This article elucidates the significance of fostering creativity in early childhood through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) model, particularly in the context of creativity. In an era of intensifying competition, Era 4.0 underscores the necessity for individuals to possess high creativity. Creativity is regarded as the pivotal factor in enhancing the quality of life of individuals and contributing to the prosperity of society. In the context of education, creativity plays a pivotal role in the early childhood learning process, given that every child possesses unique creative potential. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with experimental and control groups at PAUD Tarbiyatul Athfal UIN Antasari Banjarmasin, involving 36 children aged 4-6 years. Data were collected through checklist sheets and documentation of activities. The results demonstrated that the implementation of PPA significantly enhanced children's creativity in the experimental group. The Mann-Whitney U-Test analysis revealed a statistically significant difference between the two groups. Children who participated in PPA exhibited active engagement, collaborative skills, and proficiency in problem-solving, idea-sharing, and effective communication.

Kesetaraan Gender pada Pengkaderan Ulama di UIN Antasari

The education of female clerics has been carried out, but the number of female clerics is still small compared to male clerics. In fact, the role of female scholars is just as needed as male scholars. This inequality of quantity makes the author interested in conducting research. Therefore, the research aims to analyze access, participation, control and benefits in the UIN Antasari Banjarmasin ulama regeneration program or the so-called PKU program. The design of this study is quantitative descriptive, where collection is carried out through questionnaires. Participants are cadres of ulama in the program. From the results of the study, there was no indication of gender injustice, all participants, both men and women, received the same access, participation, control and benefits while participating in the PKU program. Therefore, this program can be continued to produce male and female scholars who are gender responsive.

Teaching English Speaking through Discourse in the State Islamic Universities in Borneo

Introducing accurate discourses and understanding the discourses that students encounter in their daily lives is crucial for enhancing the teaching of spoken English language. To enhance students' linguistic proficiency, the method of teaching speaking through discourse involves immersing them in authentic dialogues and diverse communication scenarios. This is a descriptive qualitative research, employing a case study approach. The participants of the research are the teachers and students of the State Islamic University of Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda and the State Islamic University of Antasari Banjarmasin. To collect data for the study, the researcher used a variety of research instruments, such as interviews, field notes, and questionnaires. This study's data analysis method adheres to the principles of qualitative research. The interactive model was used for the data analysis, which included stages for data collecting, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Research findings indicate that students have a preference for teachers who not only teach English language curriculum but also demonstrate how to achieve a successful future. For English teachers, it is important to teach students not only English-speaking materials but also proper behaviour and politeness. In terms of English language proficiency, students highlight that speaking is the primary skill in acquiring English since it demonstrates their mastery of the language.

Bank Mini Syariah Laboratory Operations Management (Comparative Study of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin and UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya)

The Mini Sharia Bank Laboratory is a facility designed to provide students with practical experience in the field of sharia banking. The mini bank laboratory focuses on developing banking operational practicum activities within the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya and UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. The use of mini sharia banking laboratories by the two universities is intended to support lecture activities. The success of the Bank Mini Syariah laboratory cannot be separated from a well-running operational management system. This research aims to set up a management laboratory for Bank Mini Syariah UIN Antasari Banjarmasin to improve quality with a comparative study of Bank Mini Syariah UIN Sunan Ampel. This research uses a field approach with a qualitative approach through observation, interviews and documentary studies. The data analysis technique used is to explain patterns or categories, looking for relationships between various concepts. The results of the research found that there are several factors that influence the operational management of the mini sharia bank laboratory at UIN Antasari Banjarmasin and UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya, namely internal factors, human resources, infrastructure, facilities and managerial, while external factors are security and comfort and cooperation.

The Effect Of Psychological Empowerment On Employee Performance Work Engagements Imediation

This research aims to determine and analyze the influence of psychological empowerment on employee performance, psychological empowerment on work engagement, work engagement on employee performance, the influence of psychological empowerment on employee performance through work engagement on educational staff affected by the equalization of Echelon III and IV positions at UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. This research is quantitative research with an explanatory research approach. This research method uses a questionnaire with 55 populations and all of them are sampled as respondents by testing hypotheses using SEM-PLS. The results of the study conclude that ( 1 ) psychological empowerment has a positive effect on employee performance, ( 2 ) psychological empowerment has a positive effect on work engagement, ( 3 ) work engagement has a positive effect on employee performance, and ( 4 ) psychological empowerment has a positive effect on employee performance through work engagement.

Revolution of Islamic Education Thought in the Era of Society 5.0: Correction and Review of Field Studies

This research aims to explore the revolution of Islamic education thinking in the era of Society 5.0 with a focus on the integration of religious values with technology at UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. The research method used is qualitative with in-depth interviews with lecturers and direct observation of teaching practices on campus. The results showed that lecturers at UIN Antasari Banjarmasin are actively involved in efforts to integrate religious values with technology-based teaching methods, creating an educational environment that is responsive to the demands of the Society 5.0 era. This research provides a scientific contribution by confirming the importance of this integration in shaping a balanced and relevant Islamic education during rapid technological development. However, there are limitations to the study, including limited generalizability and the need for further research with a quantitative approach to gain a more in-depth and comprehensive understanding. Future research could involve a wider sample and contextual variations to test the validity of the findings. In addition, a quantitative approach could provide a more robust statistical analysis to support the qualitative findings. Thus, the results of this study provide a basis for further development in exploring the role of integrating religious values with technology in improving the quality of Islamic education in the era of Society 5.0.

Hubungan Antara Self Image Dengan Hedonisme Pada Siswa SMA Islam Terpadu Ukhuwah Banjarmasin

Fitri, Relationship between Self Image and Hedonism in Ukhuwah Banjarmasin Integrated Islamic High School Students, Ushuluddin and Humanities Faculty, Antasari Banjarmasin State Islamic University, Jalan Pendarapan Guntung Manggis Village, Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan. The current generation is very vulnerable to modernization, so it is affected by today's modernity. Most of today's youth are affected by globalization which has negative consequences. This is caused by the feelings of teenagers, especially teenagers who are still unstable because of their identity crisis. This is a difficult period of psychological development in adolescents. Due to the increasing complexity of modern life, people are increasingly choosing patterns of behavior that differentiate them from one another in terms of their lifestyle choices. The hedonistic lifestyle view that material pleasure is the main goal of life. Adolescents who tend towards hedonism often try to harmonize their lifestyle with their peer group which is reflected in certain symbols, such as product brands as markers of their hedonistic values. This phenomenon represents the adjustment process that many teenagers go through to achieve social acceptance. The research method used in this research is quantitative. Based on the r count (Pearson Correlations) it is known that the r count for the relationship between Self Image (X) and Hedonism (Y) is 0.060 <r table 0.349, it can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between the Self Image variable and the Hedonism variable.

A Critical Discourse Analysis of Religious Moderation Values in the Indonesian EFL Classroom: Teachers' Perspective

This qualitative phenomenological research used Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis model. The primary data sources for this research are English lecturers in Indonesian universities: Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda, Universitas Islam Negeri Antasari Banjarmasin, and Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel related to discourses in English lectures. Secondary data from this research was the information about discourse development obtained from data-documentation sources in the form of literature studies from research sources, whether from proceedings, journal articles, theses, or dissertations. The research data analysis used critical discourse analysis, which was developed by Fairclough. This discourse analysis reveals that the English-speaking courses thoroughly integrate dimensions of moderate Islamic perspectives promoted by the Indonesian government - tolerance, non-violence, cultural groundedness, and national unity. Lecturers consciously amplify ideological content and participatory formats embodying these moderate religiosity traits. In short, the classes linguistically reproduce state-ordained religious moderation through textual and structural infusion of key elements. This signals a systemic alignment between English language pedagogy and the cultivation of ideals mandated more broadly across Indonesian higher education.

Women's Iddah Provisions In The Understanding Of Islamic Family Law Study Program Students Uin Antasari Banjarmasin

ABSTRACT Iddah is a transition period after divorce and before remarriage, whether divorced or alive. Islam has paid a lot of attention to the discussion of iddah which can be studied from the Qur’an, as-Sunnah, and al-Ijma’. UIN Antasari Banjarmasin itself also paid attention to this study, so that this study also became learning material for its students. Thus, this research will discuss idddah in the understanding of Islamic Family Law students at UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. The method used is fieldwork collected by direct interviews with student speakers. The research results show that Islamic Family Law students at UIN Antasari Banjarmasin can be said to have a good understanding of iddah. They can explain well the definition, objectives and laws of iddah. Their understanding, which is still considered moderate, is regarding the iddah periods for each condition. Keywords: Iddah, Understanding, Student. ABSTRAK Iddah merupakan masa transisi setelah bercerai dan sebelum menikah lagi, baik cerai mati ataupun cerai hidup. Islam telah banyak memberi perhatian dalam bahasan iddah yang dapat dipelajari dari al-Qur’an, as-Sunnah, dan al-Ijma’. UIN Antasari Banjarmasin sendiri juga memberikan perhatiannya dalam kajian ini, sehingga kajian ini turut menjadi bahan belajar oleh mahasiswanya. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini akan membahas mengenai idddah dalam pemahaman mahasiswa Hukum Keluarga Islam UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. Metode yang digunakan ialah lapangan yang dikumpulkan dengan wawancara langsung bersama mahasiswa narasumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Hukum Keluarga Islam UIN Antasari Banjarmasin dapat dikatakan memiliki pemahaman yang baik mengenai iddah. Mereka dapat menjelaskan dengan baik mengenai definisi, tujuan, dan hukum iddah. Adapun pemahaman mereka yang masih dianggap sedang ialah mengenai masa-masa iddah masing-masing kondisi. Pengaruh manajemen kinerja perpustakaan terhadap kepuasan pemustaka di Perpustakaan UIN Antasari Banjarbaru

The development of the times is marked by various change in various aspects of social life. Libraries, an organization that focuses on serving users, must adapt to developments so as not to be left behind. In serving users, it is of course important to pay attention to library performance management, because it is one of the benchmarks for user satisfaction. Quantitative method, which aims to show the relationship of influence between 2 variables. The population includes active students of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin (campus 2 Banjarbaru ) with a sample of 30 people. Using non probability sampling, namely purposive sampling. By distributing closed questionnaires using a Likert scale. This research is objective and includes quantitative data collection, analysis, and statistical testing with assistance from IBM SPSS Statistics Software 21. this research shows the influence that library performance management has on user satisfaction with an R Square of 72.8% , meaning management library own strong influence to satisfaction user . The influence of library performance management on user satisfaction is 72.8% , while the remaining 27.2% (100% - 72.8%) is influenced by other variables outside this research. So according to Chin (1988) the R-Square value of 72.8% is included in the strong category. Suggestions for future researchers could be to conduct research with a larger sample, because the population of this study is quite a large number of students at UIN Antasari Banjarbaru.

STUDY STYLE OF BEST GRADUATES (Case Study of Best Graduates of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin)

One key to a student's success in achieving the title of the best graduate is their learning style. This study aims to explain that learning style greatly influences the outcomes of students' struggles throughout their education at the university. This paper is based on interviews conducted with 7 top graduates from UIN Antasari Banjarmasin, selected through purposive sampling using the homogeneous sampling technique. The theory used in this research is Rita Dunn and Dunn Kanneth's. The research design employed is qualitative case study in descriptive form. The results of this study indicate that the majority of the top graduates entered the university through the test-based admission route, specifically the UM-Mandiri route. The most common reason cited by the top graduates for studying is the demand, which includes task requirements and scholarships. The most effective learning environment is a quiet room away from crowds, and music is effective in enhancing focus or concentration and providing a sense of calm while studying. Studying alone is more effective than studying in groups. The senses used are primarily visual combined with auditory perception. The most effective study time is midnight, and the strategy for dealing with difficulties in understanding lessons or completing tasks is to ask someone who has a better understanding of the material or the assigned task. This study is limited to relatively small data, which allows for further research with a larger data scope.

EMPOWERING STUDENTS ACCESS CENTER (SAC) IN SUPPORTING ENGLISH LEARNING

This study focuses on conducting a need analysis to explore the role and effectiveness of the Student Access Center (SAC) in supporting English Education Department students' learning endeavors. The SAC is a place and an essential resource hub catering to students' academic, personal, and professional needs. The data was collected using a survey design from a questionnaire given to 51 English Education Department students at UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. The questionnaire included five Likert-scale-based choices regarding the student's learning needs about the role of SAC. The investigation delves into various aspects, including the collection of books provided by the SAC, its accessibility, and the extent to which it addresses students' needs both inside and outside the classrooms. The study examines students' perceptions of the SAC's facilities in enhancing their learning, the circulation service, and the function of SAC. Findings from this study contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the SAC's significance in supporting English Education Department students. Ultimately, this research aims to foster a conducive learning environment that maximizes students' academic achievements and success.

Discourse-Based Teaching in English Language Teaching at Islamic Universities in Borneo: A Critical Discourse Analysis Perspective

This critical discourse analysis aims to uncover what ideologies emerge in English language teaching at Islamic universities in Borneo, explain how discourse-based teaching is implemented, and why discourse-based teaching is necessary for English language teaching at Islamic universities in Borneo. This is qualitative phenomenological research using Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis model. The primary data sources for this research are English language lecturers and college students at universities in Borneo, namely UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda, UIN Antasari Banjarmasin, IAIN Palangkaraya, and IAIN Pontianak. The researcher used several research instruments to collect the data: interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this research is the interactive model from Miles et al. with the stages of data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion. This research concludes that English language education at Islamic universities in Borneo has an ideology of character development, influenced by several factors such as the shift in character values, the spirit of nationalism, and political policies of the Ministry of Religion to maintain national unity with a religious moderation agenda, and the vision to develop graduates who have solid Islamic character. In addition, English language education aims not only to master English language skills but also to compete in the era of information technology with critical thinking skills. Therefore, English language teaching at Islamic universities in Borneo is based on a discourse approach, from lesson planning and teaching implementation to teaching evaluation. This research implies that English language teaching should not only focus on English language skills or TEFL content but also on achieving learning outcomes from the goals of the study program, students’ needs, and the roles of lecturers as educators of Islamic and national character values.

Analisis Konten Budaya dalam Buku Ajar BIPA "Ramah Berbahasa Jilid I" bagi Penutur Arab

This research is aimed at examining the BIPA teaching book "Language Friendly Volume 1" published by Antasari Banjarmasin State Islamic University from several aspects: First, a review of the suitability of the material with the Graduate Competency Standards (SKL) stipulated in the Permendikbub from its accuracy and cultural content. Second, this research is aimed at examining the suitability of material for Arabic speakers, this refers to the fact that Arabs often dominate BIPA participants at UIN Antasari. This study uses a qualitative approach because the data are in the form of narratives or text. The method used by researchers is content analysis. The indicators used in analyzing the book's content were adopted from Muslich, and the rating interval was adopted from the scale developed by Nurgiyantoro. The results of this study revealed that the BIPA textbook "Language Friendly Volume 1" designed for the A1 level of need, was still "not appropriate" with a percentage of 50%. The drawback is that the author is inconsistent in presenting the material, narrative, dialogue, and Indonesian insights. There is also material content that is not yet time to be delivered at the A1 level. This BIPA textbook is considered not suitable for use by Arabic speakers or even other foreign speakers.

Policies and Strategies for Improving the Research and Scientific Publications Quality at State Islamic Religious Colleges in Kalimantan

The quality of research and scientific publications is an essential concern in managing higher education institutions. Therefore, this research aims to examine the policies and strategies for enhancing the quality of research and scientific publications in State Islamic Religious Colleges. This is a qualitative study that gathers data from library and field research. The findings show that each university already has regulations based on provisions from the Ministry of Higher Education, including the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) and External Quality Assurance System (SPME), for managing research quality. Additionally, UIN Antasari Banjarmasin, UIN Samarinda, and IAIN Palangkaraya are improving the quality of research and scientific publications of their lecturers with policies such as allocating 30% of BOPTN funds and implementing the LITAPDIMAS system. However, the outputs and benefits of these policies have not been fully realized due to budget absorption issues that limit the development of a research and publication culture. Therefore, developing such a culture presents a significant challenge that requires a long-term commitment and the participation of all stakeholders. The culture-building process should start from upstream to downstream aspects.

University Students’ Perception towards Online Learning: Synchronous and Asynchronous

The teaching and learning process in universities around Indonesia has immensely transformed due to the covid-19 pandemic, including in UIN Antasari Banjarmasin and UIN Raden Intan Lampung. This demands lecturers to adapt their teaching to online learning, either synchronous or asynchronous. However, these two variations of learning alter students’ views on how learning should be experienced which further influences their learning performance. Thus, this research is aimed at finding out English Language Education students' perception towards online learning: Synchronous and Asynchronous. This research is descriptive quantitative. There is an e-questionnaire of students’ perception consists of 6 items for Perceiver, 6 items for Object/Target, 6 items for Context. The data obtained from the questionnaire has been analyzed by using descriptive statistics and interpreting the Likert Scale of students’ answers (Strongly Agree, Agree, Disagree, and Strongly Disagree). The finding showed that the students' perceptions were positive in terms of Learning platforms, Learning Materials, and Learning Activities in online learning both Synchronous and Asynchronous.

Effectiveness of Training for Peer Counselors to Improve Gender Awareness

The study aimed to discover the effectiveness of training for trainers of peer counselors to improve gender awareness at two Islamic Universities in Banjarmasin City. The study employed a qualitative approach with the true experimental design in the form of a Pre-test Post-test Control Group Design. The study object was gender awareness. Data were collected using the gender awareness scale. The study was conducted in Banjarmasin on students of the Counseling Department of UIN Antasari Banjarmasin and Islamic University of Kalimantan Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjary. The data were analyzed using a T-test. The study discovered that training for trainers of peer counselors is effective to improve gender awareness observed from the significant test difference between the experiment and control groups.
