The purpose of this study was to compare kinetic variables in squash forehand and backhand drive swing according to the gender. In this study, the subject were consisted of the 1 male and 1 female squash athlete. Three digital cameras and two force plates were used to acquire 3-D kinematic and kinetic variables of the upper and lower extremity. The displacement of center of gravity (COG), velocity of COG, angle of hip, knee, and ankle, ground reaction force (GRF) was calculated. The results revealed between the gender; swing motion time in left foot landing (LFL)-ball impact (BI) phase, medial-lateral velocity of COG at BI event during forehand swing, medial-lateral velocity of COG at BI event during backhand swing, anterio-posterior velocity of COG at RFL event during backhand swing, vertical velocity of COG at BI event during backhand swing, right hip joint angle in LFL event and BI event during forehand swing, right knee joint angle in RFL event during forehand swing, left hip joint angle in RFL event and BI event during forehand swing, left knee joint angle in LFL event and BI event during forehand swing, left hip joint angle in RFL event and BI event during backhand swing, left knee joint angle in RFL event during backhand swing, all 3 axis (x, y, z) of left foot GRF in BI event during forehand swing, all 3 axis (x, y, z) of left foot GRF in LFL event during backhand swing, medial-lateral of left foot GRF in LFL event during backhand swing, vertical of left foot GRF in LFL event and BI event during backhand swing. In conclusion, squash athletes was difference velocity of COG, angle of hip, knee, and ankle, ground reaction force (GRF) according to the gender.
