1. 1. The phospholipid composition of hepatopancreas of Androctonus mauretanicus Poc. is investigated. Based on lipid phosphorus distribution, the major phospholipid components are phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine. 2. 2. The composition of fatty acids of phospholipids shows that oleic acid (40 per cent) and linoleic acid (28 per cent) are the main components. 3. 3. Phosphatidylglycerol is the most saturated, whereas phosphatidylcholine is the least saturated of the phospholipids. 4. 4. There is no difference in composition of phospholipids according to the sex or physiological state of the scorpions.
