Organizational culture’s influence on supply chain performance analysis with fuzzy grey cognitive maps

PurposeThis paper applies fuzzy grey cognitive maps (FGCM) to support multicriteria group decision making (GDM) on supply chain performance (SCP) considering the role of organizational culture as a moderating factor.Design/methodology/approachThis paper follows the quantitative axiomatic prescriptive model-based research. It introduces a MGDM model that relies on the SCOR® model performance attributes and Hofstede’s cultural dimensions. The proposal is underpinned by the soft computing technique of FGCM, aimed at addressing the inherent subjectivity associated with evaluating the culture-performance relationship within supply chains.FindingsThe FGCM-based model proposes a management matrix tool for supporting SPC management. It results in a graphical representation that deconstructs SCP and organizational culture into key elements and provides directives for action plans that align improvement efforts. An illustrative application is presented to guide and promote the model’s application in different configurations of supply chains.Practical implicationsThis model offers valuable insights into addressing the impact of organizational culture on decision-making related to SCP. Additionally, it facilitates scenario simulation. The management matrix visually illustrates how each performance attribute is influenced by each cultural dimension on a quantitative scale. It also ranks these attributes based on the overall level of influence they receive from culture.Originality/valueThe study provides a unique outlook on the use of FGCMs to support the SCP decisional process by detailing and accounting for the influence of organizational culture. This is done through the development of a novel matrix that allows for visual management and benchmarking.

Performance analysis of supply chain for construction materials at high rise building project based on Supply Chain Operations Reference Method: A case study

Abstract Supply chain management is an approach to implementing lean construction efforts to minimize construction project problems, such as cost overruns, project delays, and disputes. Implementation of supply chain management is necessary, especially in the procurement of materials. However, there is a need to measure performance during the implementation. Results of measurement can show the extent to which the project operates and use it as a benchmark to determine the end impact of a project. This study’s purpose is to measure of supply chain performance with the supply chain operation reference (SCOR) method and use the analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Compile data using an observation with scoring form based on standards adoption, categories, and SCOR metrics through key performance indicators (KPI) and structured interviews with the contractor to validate. Limited to the study is the supply chain of ready-mix concrete materials. The AHP method give the weight of the output value of the KPI. The results of the KPI measurements from the contractor’s perspective are that one indicator is still at a low value, which is a cycle time for fulfilling orders. An overall result of 84.83 from the measurement KPI suggests a “good” performance category.

Supply chain performance analysis using the SCOR method

The current era of globalization requires companies to meet market demands in order to get the right tactics or strategy. This research was conducted at PT. Budi Starch & Sweetener has several obstacles in carrying out its supply chain activities such as delivery delays, supply uncertainty and problems in the production process. So, measuring Supply Chain performance is very important so that companies can know the extent of Supply Chain performance achieved by the company. Supply chain performance measurement is carried out using the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) method with the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) validation phase, calculation of actual KPI values, and weighting of metrics for each level using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. After processing the data, the result was that 16 performance indicators were selected from a total of 36 performance indicators. To determine the main criteria and priorities, performance indicators are weighted using the AHP method. The calculation result of the total performance value is 76,41, so the performance measurement at PT. Budi Starch & Sweetener Tbk is included in the good scale. However, the results of data processing of actual values which were then normalized to Snorm De Boer still contained 5 indicators which showed a value of less than 90 and required improvement, namely accuracy of estimates, raw material planning, on-time delivery performance by suppliers, compliance with production schedules, and number of problems. machine. It is hoped that companies can issue appropriate policies regarding of these five performance indicators, so that the level of achievement of Supply Chain Management (SCM) targets in companies can be further increased.

Green Supply Chain Performance Analysis of Cowhide Crackers Industry

Cowhide crackers Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) process beef skin crackers as a home-based business. However, their supply chain faces challenges due to unstructured activities. Waste management, particularly cowhide and used water disposal, is inefficient. Research aims to evaluate performance indicators, measure green supply chain performance, and assess supply chain maturity. The methods employed include Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), Green Supply Chain Operation Reference (GSCOR), and Process Maturity Model (PMM). Results indicate a green supply chain management score of 58.901, with an average performance level influencing a maturity model value of 3.95. This places supply chain performance in the “managed and measurable” category. Three indicators, including recyclable percentage, cycle time, and environmental performance standards, have values below 50, necessitating improvement proposals. The research highlights areas for enhancement to enhance efficiency and sustainability in the cowhide crackers SMEs’ supply chain, crucial for long-term success and environmental responsibility.

Supply Chain Performance Analysis of Corn Processed Animal Feed

The purpose of this study was to analyze the general description of the corn supply chain as a raw material for animal feed in the research area using the Food Supply Chain Networks (FSCN) model, to analyze the performance of the supply chain for corn as a raw material for animal feed in the study area using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The samples in the research were farmers (raw material suppliers), animal feed entrepreneurs, animal feed traders and breeders consisting of 7 farmers (raw material suppliers), 5 animal feed entrepreneurs, 10 animal feed traders and 8 breeders with the research location is in the Simalungun Regency. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that in general, the supply chain for corn as a raw material for animal feed in this study area is farmers (raw material suppliers) - animal feed entrepreneurs - animal feed traders - breeders (consumers). From a business point of view, the supply chain for corn as a raw material for animal feed has carried out two business processes, namely procurement and customer orders. Supply chain performance in the study area is quite consistent with a consistency ratio value of 0.015. The value points that there is good cooperation from partnerships such as raw material suppliers who are currently still able to meet demands from entrepreneurs, then the consistency obtained from this method is also related to a workforce that is skilled enough to help develop businesses and can support the development of product marketing.

Peanuts in West Aceh District peanuts are one of the leading commodities of peanut farmers' income. With a harvest area of ​​240.00 hectares and production of 527.00 tons per year. The aim of this research is to analyze the supply chain of peanuts for consumption in West Aceh District. The results of the research using the Food Supply Chain Network (FSCN) approach, it can be concluded that the supply chain for peanuts for consumption already has clear targets, the relationship between actors is structured, but has not been managed properly in terms of business processes that have not been integrated in the long term. In peanuts, the seeds of collaboration between actors have been well established in terms of information disclosure, cooperation and integration between supply chain actors. Besides that, business processes run structured with good management. The results of supply chain performance analysis through the farmer's share received by farmers in each channel where the value of the farmer's share in peanuts for channel 1 is 46.88 percent, channel 2 is 45.45 percent and channel 3 is 50.00 percent. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the peanut supply chain for channel 3 is more efficient than the peanut supply chain for channels 1 and channel 2.

Performance Analysis in Palm Oil Industry Using Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) Model

The research aims to map the process and measure supply chain performance in the palm oil industry using the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) Model 11.0 approach. It was considered that this industry could influence the country’s foreign exchange. The object of research was PT Perkebunan Nusantara I (PTPN I), Aceh. It was chosen because, compared to other PTPNs in the Sumatra region, the lowest productivity rate for palm oil processing was around 2,8 tons/ha, inversely proportional to the land area owned by state plantations of 42.233 ha. Data were collected using field survey methods and interviews with company managers involved in the company chain process. This measurement process was useful for measuring achievements and correcting ineffective supply chain processes. The results show that supply chain performance analysis for performance metrics has not reached the expected target. It describes Perfect Order Fulfillment (POF) with a gap of 98%, Order Fulfillment Cycle Time (OFCT) of 3,93 days, Total Cost to Serve (TCTS) of 71%, Cash to Cash Cycle Time (CCCT) of 242,32 days, and Return on Supply Chain Fixed Assets (ROF) of 0,123 times, when viewed from the calculation of the Lost Opportunity Measurement (LOM). In the research, four recommendations for improvement are given based on the problems that occur in the company using the best practices of the SCOR model. They are manufacturing reliability improvement, batch reduction, Single Minutes Exchange of Dies (SMED), and make-to-order fulfillment strategy.

Supply Chain Performance Analysis and Improvement for Electricity Industry

Electricity is the most basic need for all human activities. Electricity is also a primary need in various sectors, such as industry, households, buildings, and even transportation. The importance of ensuring and sustaining the electricity industry is necessary since it affects the economic, environmental and defence sectors. This study aims to calculate the performance of electricity supply chain in Indonesia to support tourism industry. Data was collected from electricity supply chain business in Batam-Bintan Island, in which known as one of most popular entrance for international tourist in Indonesia. This research resulted there are 13 metrics of SCOR performance attribute need to improve. electricity supply chain in Batam and Bintan organized by four main actors. The result show that the supply chain performance of primary energy was 82.13%, power plant was 76.06%, transmission was 68.97% and distribution unit was 72.82%.

Peningkatan Produktivitas Melalui Penerapan 5S di IKM Kulit di Sleman, Yogyakarta

Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) called MARS Genuine Leather is one of the SMEs under the guidance of the Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) in the Sleman region, Yogyakarta. In 2018, MARS and 10 other SMEs in Sleman and Bantul Regency have involved in research with the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Islamic University of Indonesia regarding supply chain performance analysis using the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) Model. The results showed that MARS had the lowest supply chain value among the 5 SMEs in the Sleman region. Continuing the results of the research, improvements were made through Community Service activities regarding the implementation of 5S in MARS. the Department of Industry and Trade (Disperindag) of Sleman has provided several pieces of training on the implementation of 5S for SME owners. However, this training has not been applied directly to each IKM. Therefore, this service activity aims to provide hands-on training on the implementation of 5S at IKM MARS as well as one of the improvements that can be made to the results of previous supply chain performance analysis research. The results of this service are in the form of direct training guidance at IKM, videos of the first 3S implementation (Seiri, Seiso, Seiton), and a checklist form that can be used by IKM as an internal audit. The 5S knowledge and skills that have been applied in MARS are expected to help the enterprise to reduce waste as well as increase productivity in the future.

Analysis Supply Chain Management of Organic Pakcoy

Vegetables are a potential commodity. Pakcoy is one of the commodities have high deman. Because of high demand, quality assurance, insufficient supply and delivery that is not on time are the causes of the inefficient performance of Pakcoy's supply chain. Therefore, this study aims to identify and study the organic pakcoy management chain in the Brenjonk Organic Community. Respondents in this study were organic pakcoy farmers in the Trawas and Pacet areas, Brenjonk Organic Community, PT Y, and supermarkets. This research was conducted by using descriptive analysis method of Food Supply Chain Networking (FSCN) framework, trading system analysis, and descriptive analysis using attribute suitability. Discussion on organic pakcoy supply chain management at the Brenjonk Organic Community using the FSCN framework for chain analysis, business chain processes and supply chain performance analysis. Chain goals include market targets, development goals, and partnership development. Based on the results of this analysis, the management of the organic supply chain has not been going well because the supply chain is still too long.

Supply chain performance analysis of milkfish using data envelopment analysis method (case study ud. tbs)

An industry's supply chain system must be intensely improved to improve the company's performance. Factors that influence a performance are reliability, responsiveness, agility or flexibility, cost and assets. The performance of milk fish supply chain at UD TBS has not yet been measured by the performance of each distributor, so it is not yet known how effective the performance of the supply chain and the factors that can affect its performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the performance of milk fish supply chains and DMU values by the DEA method. The results showed that the most influential factor was cash-to-cash cycle time (the time needed by the distributor to the company in ordering milkfish. The effectiveness value of 20 distributors was obtained 85% effective (green) and 10% ineffective (amber) and 5% ineffective (red).

ANALISIS RANTAI PASOK AGROINDUSTRI TEMPE DI KELURAHANGUNUNG SULAH KECAMATAN WAY HALIM KOTA BANDAR LAMPUN

This study aims to figure out the flow patterns and stakeholders of, supply chain performance of, and marketing efficiency of tempe agroindustry. Data collection was conducted in Gunung Sulah Subdistrict, Way Halim District, Bandar Lampung City from December 2018 to January 2019. This study uses a casestudy method. Determination of agroindustry sample uses purposive sampling technique and for supply chain sample uses snowball sampling technique. The data analysis method used for flow patterns and stakeholders are the supply chain system method, for the analysis of supply chain performance is SupplyChain Operation Reference (SCOR) 9.0 and for marketing efficiency analysis is the calculation of margin value, and the value of producer's share. The results of this study showed that supply chain of tempe agroindustry consisted of soybean importer, soybean agent, yeast and plastic wholesaler, soybean, yeast and plastic retailers, sub-agent of gas, producer of firewood, tempe’s agroindustries, tempe retailers, and street vendors. There is an inefficiency in cost management of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) metric for tempe products of tempe’s agroindustry and asset management of Cash to Cash Cycle Time (CTCCT) metric for soybean, yeast, and fuel supply of tempe’s agroindustry. The most efficient marketing of tempe’s agroindustry is direct marketing to consumers with margin value of zero and producer’s share value of 100%.Key words: margin, marketing, producer’s share, supply chain, SCOR

Analysis of Rice Supply Chain Performance Using the Supply Chain Operation Reference (Scor) Model and Analytical Hierarchy Process (Ahp) Method (Case Study: CV. Meutuah Baro Kuta Baro Aceh Besar District)

Rice is the main food crop in Indonesia because most of Indonesia's population consumes rice as a source of carbohydrates. The supply chain (supply chain) of rice from producing regions to large markets is controlled by experts. This study discusses how the rice supply chain system in CV. Meutuah Baro and see how the rice supply on the CV. Meutuah Baro if analyzed with the SCOR model and AHP method. This research was carried out in the CV. Meutuah Baro in Kuta Baro District, Aceh Besar District, Aceh Province. This research method uses descriptive analysis and supply chain performance analysis is carried out with the SCOR model and AHP method.The results of this study indicate the activity of members of the rice supply chain structure in the CV. Meutuah Baro consists of farmers, CV. Meutuah Baro, a large rice trader, a retailer of end-consumer retailers, and rice retailers as a direct distributor to end consumers. While in the supply chain performance analysis CV. Meutuah Baro consists of three attributes, namely reliability is the value of the attribute with the best weight (0.99), the agility attribute produces sufficient results with a weight value (0.55), and the responsiveness attribute is the lowest profit value attribute (0.27). Based on the classification of performance standard values, the results of a comprehensive assessment of the rice supply chain CV. Meutuah Baro shows a sufficient value, which is 64%.

Supply chain performance analysis on modular construction shipbuilding

The Implementation of modular construction shipbuilding aims to accelerate ship production so that delivery time can be shortened. However, in its implementation, delay for completing and delivery the ship can still be found. The delay in delivery is influenced by the supply chain performance of the shipyard due to delays in design, material, and financial payments. This delay occurred due to the large number of sub-module and module construction works carried out in parallel. The works include hull construction, painting, outfitting and installation of equipments. This study aims to analyze the performance of the supply chain in shipyard that implementing modular construction system. In the initial stage, the study is conducted by defining the factors and parameters that affect supply chain performance in shipbuilding and determining factors that have the potential to cause delivery delays. The conceptual and technical approach is carried out by analyzing the causal relationship of the factors that have identified in the previous stage. Dominant factors that cause delays that occur in ship building are expected to find and observe using system dynamics approach.

Analysis of Supply Chain Performance in Oil Industry through Lean Thinking

In the competitive market, firms and productive addition to the organization and internal resources, to manage and monitor resources and related elements outside the organization needs to have. This process is known as supply chain. Also, due to the changes that occurred today in administration and production systems, tools and techniques developed and applied their frequency. Lean thinking is considered one of the most important, refers to the organization can complete the process without wasting resources or spend fewer resources, more production, is achieved. The aim of this study was to determine the measures and criteria of evaluation of supply chain performance using lean thinking in Abadan Oil Refining Company. A sample of 403 people from the refinery managers and staff selection and performance evaluation based on the Balanced Scorecard questionnaire developed to assess supply chain performance based on lean thinking were distributed among them. Verification of the data by SPSS and LISREL structural equations were tested. The results showed that the financial perspective, the perspective of coordination and customer satisfaction has a positive and significant impact on supply chain performance from the perspective of coordination between the greatest impact on improving supply chain performance.

Performance measurement using supply chain operation reference (SCOR) model: a case study in a small-medium enterprise (SME) in Indonesia

Nowadays, measuring supply chain performance is a topic that attracts many researchers. Performance measurement can be used as a reference to improve performance in order to compete in the market. This study aims to measure the supply chain performance in a small and medium enterprise (SME) producing sports clothes in Yogyakarta. This research utilizes the performance attributes from the Supply Chain Operation Reference Model (SCOR). The business process is identified as the baseline to determine performance metrics on each process (plan, source, make, deliver, return and enable) and performance attributes, i.e. reliability, responsiveness, agility, cost, and asset management efficiency. According to the experts within the company, there are only 27 of 40 performance metrics obtained valid. The overall performance score is at a good level with a value of 77.89. Among the metrics, it is found 9 metrics in marginal and average level while the remaining metrics gained the value of more than 70. This supply chain performance analysis can support the company decision making in order to improve its performance at an excellent level.

Supply Chain Performance Analysis of Dow Jones Industrial Average Indexed Firms and Top 50 Supply Chain Firms

ABSTRACTOperations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) courses may cover supply chain strategies, supply chain classification, and supply chain performance. Familiarity with various manufacturing and logistics firms would help students to better understand such topics. Information on the Dow Jones Industrial Average indexed firms and top 50 supply chain firms by Gartner is easily accessible and typically covers a variety of industries from chemical, food/beverage, high‐tech to retail, to name a few. Instructors of OSCM courses can take advantage of this kind of information to discuss industry characteristics and supply chain classification. We present how to collect financial data, calculate supply chain metrics (e.g., inventory turns, profit margin, and cash‐to‐cash cycle) by building a spreadsheet model and creating an earns‐turns matrix, which prescribes supply chain classification. We also show how to analyze supply chain performance and describe industry characteristics based on the earns‐turns matrix. We provide vital questions and takeaways for instructors to lead and wrap‐up discussions. Students claim that they appreciated learning about industry characteristics and different supply chain strategies through the earns‐turns matrix analysis.

Performance analysis of supply chain on saroo model shoes products using SCOR model

The purpose of this study was to measure the performance of Supply Chain Management in a company engaged in the shoe industry. Shoe model which is used as object in this research is model of Sarro which is model of shoes which most in demand by consumer. The method of measuring the performance of Supply Chain Management used in this research is SCOR (Supply Chain Operation Reference) method which can integrate three main elements in management that is business process reengineering, benchmarking and measurement process. The result of this is to evaluate the performance of Supply Chain Management network on the company to three important components which become the main basis of assessment on SCOR method so that this will have implication to strategy that can be done by company in order to increase sales of shoes product so that can compete in market.

Sustainability evaluation of the supply chain with undesired outputs and dual-role factors based on double frontier network DEA

The performance analysis of supply chain is a very complicated problem. The network DEA can be used to calculate efficiency of decision-making units with multiple stages. In this paper, a new network DEA model is proposed. This model includes undesired outputs and dual-role factors. It can calculate optimistic and pessimistic efficiency. The supply chain can be ranked in terms of the overall efficiency scores. A case study is presented to demonstrate the applicability of our model.
