Analysis of static tractive characteristics of a shell magnetic system with a plunger cone-shaped armature

Computational investigation of the effect of the cone angle of an armature of a cone-shaped pole on the static tractive characteristic of a shell magnetic system is carried out. Computations were carried out by the finite-element method. The static tractive characteristic is shown to remain monotonous with a cone angle that decreases from 17° to 11°. The static tractive characteristic reveals two location maximums at a variation in the cone angle of the pole from 6° to 0°.

Static Analysis and Dynamic Analysis of CNC Machine Center Based on ANSYS

The static characteristic and dynamic characteristic of machine tool is one of the most important factors that affect the performance of machine tool, and it will affect the manufacturing final performance of the machine tool, and it is also an important index to evaluate the machine tool of high performances. Based on finite element structure analysis software ANSYS, the analyses of static and dynamic characteristics of VDL-1000 were conducted. The influencing factors to working accuracy were pointed out and a way was proposed to improve the structure of the machine center. All these can provide an important theoretical basis for the design and optimization of the machine center.

Structural Optimization of an Integrated Winding Structure Short-Stroke Planar Motor Driven by Square DC Coils and Permanent Magnets

In this paper, an integrated winding structure short-stroke DC planar motor is studied. The integrated winding structure and non-integrated winding structure are compared and two types of coil arrangements are proposed. Then, static characteristics analysis and structural optimization are made by using FEM. The influences of the main parameters on the electromagnetic force are analyzed respectively based on the finite element simulation.

Analysis of Static Frequency Characteristics Based on Curve Fitting

Identification and calculation of static frequency characteristics is of great significance for power system to maintain its stability. In this paper, coefficient of static frequency characteristics is fitted by the least squares method. Frequency deviation restriction point under different capacitances is forecasted by the fitted trend of coefficient of static frequency characteristics. Moreover, the new method is simulated and its calculation error is also compared.

Static Characteristics Research of Bed with Three-Point Support Using Bionics

In order to meet the requirement of small deformation of "T"-shaped bed with three-point support, based on the idea of meta-structure, making use of bionics, a new unit structures - hollow hexagonal prism is put forward. Through the analysis of the static characteristic of the different unit structures, it is shown that hollow hexagonal prism has strong advantages as unit structures. Thereafter, using hollow hexagonal prism of different cross-section circumcircle diameter and wall thickness as unit structures of "T" shaped bed, through the bed static characteristics analysis, the design principles of bed designed by the use of hollow hexagonal prism is summarized.

Finite Element Analysis and Improvement of Spindle Box of Machining Center VM1806H

Taking a large vertical machining center spindle box as research object, its three-dimensional model is established by using Pro/ENGINEER software. Due to the seamless integration between ANSYS Workbench and Pro/ENGINEER, ANSYS Workbench is used to structural analysis of static and dynamic characteristics of spindle box. It has been achieved which includes static stress, deformation, inherent frequencies and vibration mode. Based on the analysis results, improvement scheme for spindle box structure has been proposed and validated. This study provides theoretical basis for design and improvement of machining center spindle box.

Dynamic and Static Characteristics Analysis Study of Hot-Wire Probe in Constant Temperature Model

Lumped and distributed dynamic/static models of constant temperature hot-wire probe are established according to heat balance principle. Dynamic and static characteristics of hot-wire probe are analyzed in terms of hot-wire probe sizes, control circuit parameters and flow velocity.Simulation results show that reliability and stability of the hot-wire probe depend on bias voltage.The dynamic and static characteristics of hot-wire probe refly on the ratio of length to diameter ratio crucially.Once the ratio exceeds 300, heat conduction terminal loss can be ignored. When over-heating ratio of hot- wire or flow velocity increases, heat conduction terminal loss can be omitted as well .Besides frequency response of hot-wire probe can be improved simultaneously.The above conclusions can provide guidance in the improved design for hot-wire probe and its control-circuits.

Spindle Static and Dynamic Characteristics Analysis of Precision CNC Turning Center

In this paper, a research of precision CNC turning center’s spindle is presented. Spring damper elements are used to simulate the supports of dynamic and static hydraulic bearing, and the 3D finite element models of the spindle is built. Based on finite element models of spindle, the static analysis and model analysis are performed, and the static stiffness, natural frequency and modes of vibration are put forward. The strain and stress of spindle is explored, and mode of vibration of spindle under resonance and designed working conditions is contrasted.

Simulation of a Wheeled Vehicle Dynamic Regimes in Laboratory Conditions

The paper deals with simulation of wheeled vehicle dynamic regimes in laboratory conditions. Based on the analysis of static and dynamic characteristics of the vehicle and test equipment the calculation model was created that calculates the course of a loading moment on the simulator for the given vehicle and driving regime. The basic condition for the simulation is the requirement for reaching congruent courses of driving speeds at the same vehicle control both on the roadway and in the test room.

Analysis of static and dynamic performance characteristics of THD journal bearing operating under lubricants containing nanoparticles

In this paper, the static and dynamic performance characteristics of journal bearing in terms of load capacity, attitude angle, end leakage, frictional force, threshold speed and damped frequency are presented when the bearing operating under lubricants, which contain nanoparticles and viscosity of these lubricants varies with temperature. The nanoparticles used for the present work are copper oxide (CuO), cerium oxide (CeO2) and aluminum oxide (Al2O3). Viscosity models for the lubricants are developed with the available experimental data. The modified Reynolds and energy equations are used to obtain pressure and temperature distribution across the lubricant film and these equations are solved by using the finiteelement method and a direct iteration scheme. The static and dynamic performance characteristics of journal bearing are computed for various values of eccentricity ratios for isoviscous and thermoviscous lubricants. The computed results show that in isoviscous case, addition of nanoparticles does not change performance characteristics considerably but in thermoviscous case, changes are significant.

Static and Dynamic Stiffness Characteristics Analysis of Hydro-Pneumatic Suspension

A simplified nonlinear model in time domain and a linear model of hydro-pneumatic suspension in frequency domain were established and the expression of static stiffness and dynamic stiffness of hydro-pneumatic suspension were derived out. The expression of dynamic stiffness contains the static stiffness. Equivalent static stiffness rises with tire stiffness increasing, with the pressure of non-rod cavity of suspension cylinder increasing and with the initial position of suspension cylinder decreasing. Dynamic stiffness related to frequency increases dramatically as the frequency increases. The concept of the dynamic stiffness was proposed. The vibration characteristics of hydro-pneumatic suspension in the view of frequency domain can be analyzed and it is the reference to analyze the stiffness characteristics for suspension.

Electro-hydraulic spring return actuator(ESRA) is utilized for air conditioning facilities in a nuclear power plant. It features self-contained, hydraulic power that is integrally coupled to a single acting hydraulic cylinder and provides efficient and precise linear control of valves as well as return of the actuator to the de-energized position upon loss of power. In this paper, the algebraic equations of ESRA at steady-state have been developed for the analysis of static characteristics that includes control pressure and valve displacement of pressure reducing valve, flow force on flapper as well as its displacement over the entire operating range. Also, the effect of external load on piston deviation is investigated in terms of linear system analysis. The results of static characteristics show the unique feature of force balance mechanism and can be applied to the stable self-controlled mechanical system design of ESAR.

Static and Dynamic Characteristics Analysis of a High Speed CNC Lathe Feeding System

This paper focuses on the static and dynamic characteristics of a high speed CNC lathe feeding system, which is analyzed by using the Finite Element Method (FEM). In this study, the location of the maximum stress and deformation is demonstrated and checked, natural frequency and corresponding vibration modes is extracted and analyzed respectively, and the way to build finite element model is simply conducted. Furthermore, vibration testing of the feeding system in X, Y, Z-Direction is carried out respectively, both the theoretical analysis and test results show good agreement with each other. Finally, some conclusions and reviews are made based on the analysis results, which provide some reliable basis for the reasonable operation and static and dynamic characteristics’ improvement for the feeding system.

The Static and Dynamic Characteristics Analysis of a CNC Grinding Machine Bed Made from Artificial Granite

The machine tool bed is an important fundamental unit of the Machine tool, and its static and dynamic characteristics directly influence the precision of the Machine tool’s process. The precise composite B2-K3000 CNC grinding machine bed is made from artificial granite. Through entity modeling, adding the boundary conditions and stress conditions to the bed, this article analyses the static stiffness, natural frequency, vibration mode and harmonic response of the grinding machine bed, and masters the natural characteristics and preponderant natural frequency.On the basic of the bed’s structure characteristics and stiffness requirements, the original bed’s structure gets partial improvements. By increasing the number of ribs and using the cross-shaped ribs, the improved result indicates that the bed’s static stiffness can be enhanced obviously and the bed’s static and dynamic characteristics can be more excellent.

System Design of Spindle on High-Precise CNC

With the rapid development of science and technology, Lathe will be sure to develop in the direction of high speed, high precision and high stability as the most basic and important production equipment in industry. The spindle is the one of important component in the lathe, of which static and dynamic characteristics is directly related to the machining precision and machining stability, and the performance of spindle system directly affects the overall machine specifications. Through the analysis of the characteristics of spindle, the ways and means of the spindle analysis are studied. For the requirements of static and dynamic characteristics analysis in the process of spindle design on high-precise CNC lathes hydrostatic, direct-drive spindle motor mode is used. Three-supporting structure is adapted in the layout of spindle bearing in order to improve the accuracy and stability of the spindle drive. The rolling bearing is used in auxiliary support, the front and rear radial bearing is used in master hydrostatic bearing. Thrust bearings are located on both sides of the former type of radial bearing to complete the selection of the spindle material and the design of the structural primary dimensions. It is meaningful to improve the specifications of CNC lathes, guide the design, generation and modification of the high precise CNC lathe and enhance static dynamic characteristics of the spindle and improve accuracy and stability of the machine tool processing.

The bolted joint has been frequently used as a jointing method of structures, because it is easy to joint structural elements. In order to accurately grasp the static characteristic of these structures, the analysis considering the bolted joint is required. However, if FEM analysis of static characteristics of the bolted joint with high accuracy is necessary to cany out, the number of elements in the model for analysis increases dramatically. In this study, we propose the simplified model for analysis of the bolted j oint, which does not degrade the accuracy of analysis. As a result, we could the simplified model for the bolted joint.

Static and Dynamic Characteristics Analysis of Precise Composite CNC Grinding Machine

The parameters of joint parts must be included in the finite element model of a whole grinding machine. The subject investigated in this paper is B2-K3000 high-precision composite flexible grinding machine. Through finite element modeling, the joint part parameters are integrated into the whole grinding machine model to establish a dynamic model and then analyze its static and dynamic characteristics. The result shows that the whole grinding machine possesses good features, but it still needs to be improved. This paper gives suggestions for its structure development and application.

Numerical Analysis of Static Characteristics of Herringbone Grooved Hydrodynamic Journal Bearing

By means of the finite differential method, the Reynolds equation is solved and the static characteristics of herringbone grooved hydrodynamic journal bearing are numerically analyzed by presenting the circumferential and axial pressures. The influences of parameters such as the eccentricity, width-diameter ratio of bearing, spiral angle, depth and number of grooves, on the static characteristics of herringbone grooved bearing are discussed. The results indicate that the normal pressure of oil film and the load carrying capacity as well, of herringbone grooved bearing will decrease with the increase of groove number and depth. On the other hand, as the pressure distributes in wider area in the circumferential direction, the stability of bearing can be improved. In consideration of these two aspects, the optimal groove number is 8-12, and the selection of depth and screw angle of grooves should also be chosen carefully to obtain the significant performance of herringbone grooved bearing.
