The Republic of South Ossetia in the Context of Regional Security Threats

The article analyzes the security problems in the South Caucasus. The emphasis is placed on the key security threats to the Republic of South Ossetia, which is actually in a state of latent conflict with Georgia. The article uses the method of situational analysis (sitanalysis), which involves considering the problem at the applied level, identifying all the factors that influence the formation of the situation. The author considers that the most important part of the situational analysis is the development of practical recommendations in order to implement a favorable forecast and, if possible, avoid an unfavorable course of events.According to the author’s main conclusions, the Republic of South Ossetia is currently facing a number of serious external threats to its national security in the South Caucasus. The existing threats, challenges and risks for South Ossetia in the South Caucasus region tend to increase, both in local and regional variants. According to the author, efforts should continue to create a sustainable security architecture in the South Caucasus in order to prevent any violent scenarios for resolving existing contradictions and achieving sustainable peace and stability in the region.

The midwifery capabilities theory: How midwives enact woman‐centered care to address systemic inequity

AbstractBackgroundHealthcare for childbearing women with complex needs demands a multi‐disciplinary approach requiring transitions between care providers, paradigms, and models of care. These transitions may create disconnects between women and the maternity care “system.” Poorly managed care transitions can lead to women becoming hostage to the power struggles between healthcare organizations and the professionals working within them, further increasing the risk of poor outcomes. This paper presents the findings of a study that aimed to better understand how midwives provide woman‐centered care for women with complex needs in the real world of maternity services.MethodsA constructivist grounded theory approach, using Clarke's situational analysis to extend critical and feminist perspectives in data analysis. Qualitative data were obtained from two sources: publicly available data, and individual interviews with providers of care (midwives) and recipients of care (women with complex pregnancies).ResultsWoman‐centered care is defined as care in which the woman is seen, heard, and known. “The midwifery capabilities theory” describes the process whereby midwives create opportunities to develop women's capabilities. Capabilities are enabled through the midwifery relationship creating space, moments in time, and equalizing power and positionality.ConclusionsAligning with contemporary theories surrounding the provision of midwifery care, the midwifery capabilities theory recognizes the individual health and social status of women and the rights to self‐determination. This centers care around each individual's needs, which, in addition to improving health and well‐being outcomes, contributes to improved self‐confidence, enhancing engagement through authentic professional relationships.

Sustainable Business Practices through IoT: Energy Efficiency and Cost Reductions

This is the age of industrial transformation that is being driven by the Internet of Things (IoT). It offers very unique chance to maximize productivity excellence and foster economic expansion while having the opportunity to meet environmental concerns. This comprehensive study looks into not only the IoT contribution to energy efficiency and cost reduction but also potential use in areas of administrative operations with the same objective of energy efficiency and cost reduction. With the aid of rigorous mixed methods research that brings together qualitative data from multiple industries, against the backdrop of carefully selected case studies showing the actual benefits of IoT installations, the paper seeks to give a clear picture of the practical advantages of IoT-powered organizations. The research presents information regarding how IoT technologies function to optimize energy applications, enhance processes, and cut down waste through their ability to collect data in real-time and manage systems. Besides, it will analyze the problems companies may run into while adding IoT solutions, such as technological complexity, initial expenditure, and security matters. On the other hand, the research also designs the tactical moves that the companies can opt for as an alternative to completely eradicate these barriers and successfully deploy the IoT technology. Through the systematic study of the role of the Internet of Things on green business practices policymakers, business leaders, and technologists will gain valuable insights which can be applied in whatever levels they are working from. This policy is based on a systematic approach to IoT adoption, which, inter alia, suggests the organization of the project, statistical analysis, and improvement of the present situation to get the best economic and environmental state of affairs. This will further the comprehension of the power of IoT technology in both developing sustainability and increasing profitability, all indications that it is not just a technological advantage but rather a basic instrument for the future sustainability of business practices.

Situational analysis on porcine diseases: general risk assessment and prioritization of epizootic threats to biosecurity systems of pig establishments in the Russian Federation

The results of the situational analysis on porcine diseases in the Russian Federation and the expert assessment prioritizing the list of porcine pathogens significant for the pig industry of the country are presented. The method applied to analyse the expert estimates in the situational analysis allows for rapid assessment and interpretation of the situation with identification of priority diseases to be further addressed. The calculations demonstrated the sufficient degree of agreement among the experts (coefficient of concordance W = 0.61), and Pearson’s chi-squared test statistic χ2 = 51.33 (≥ 21.02607) indicated that the concordance is not random and the results can be used in subsequent studies. The specific features of epizootiology of the agents of African swine fever, classical swine fever, porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome that can impact the effectiveness of biosecurity systems of pig establishments, as well as further ways for improving biosecurity management measures are discussed. The overall risk for the pig industry in the Russian Federation that is associated with external sources is currently characterized as permanently high, requiring maintaining risk management measures at the pig establishments by both the managerial staff of the establishments and the State Veterinary Service. It is recommended that biosecurity measures against external threats should focus on diseases such as African swine fever (weight λ = 0.52), porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (λ = 0.071), classical swine fever (λ = 0.068) and infections considered emerging for the Russian Federation (λ = 0.05) according to the weights based on the expert estimation results. The biosecurity systems of the establishments should equally address other threats significant for the pig industry of the country: swine enzootic pneumonia, porcine pleuropneumonia (Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae), Aujeszky’s disease, streptococcosis (Streptococcus suis), porcine circovirus infection, foot-and-mouth disease, leptospirosis, transmissible gastroenteritis, cysticercosis (λ = 0.02…0.05). The improvement of the governmental policy for eradication of African swine fever, porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, classical swine fever (including the substantial modification of the existing official pig turnover control, zoning, diagnosis and prevention quality, as well as the implementation of biosecurity standards) is the most significant factor, without which the disease eradication perspective is questionable.

Context-Aware DGCN-Based Ship Formation Recognition in Remote Sensing Images

Ship detection and formation recognition in remote sensing have increasingly garnered attention. However, research remains challenging due to arbitrary orientation, dense arrangement, and the complex background of ships. To enhance the analysis of ship situations in channels, we model the ships as the key points and propose a context-aware DGCN-based ship formation recognition method. First, we develop a center point-based ship detection subnetwork, which employs depth-separable convolution to reduce parameter redundancy and combines coordinate attention with an oriented response network to generate direction-invariant feature maps. The center point of each ship is predicted by regression of the offset, target scale, and angle to realize the ship detection. Then, we adopt the spatial similarity of the ship center points to cluster the ship group, utilizing the Delaunay triangulation method to establish the topological graph structure of the ship group. Finally, we design a context-aware Dense Graph Convolutional Network (DGCN) with graph structure to achieve formation recognition. Experimental results on HRSD2016 and SGF datasets demonstrate that the proposed method can detect arbitrarily oriented ships and identify formations, attaining state-of-the-art performance.

Climate Change and SADC`s Role in Malawi: A Brief Situational Analysis after Cyclone Freddy

The economic integration process of the Southern African Development Community is being affected by the damage caused by storms and floods in the region. The study looked at the role of the Southern African Development Community in the aftermath of Tropical Cyclone Freddy. The aim of the research is to provide an overview of the response of the Southern African Development Community to Cyclone Freddy in Malawi, based on secondary data published in newspapers, reports, articles and research papers. The need for assistance in the country increased because of the economic, social and infrastructural development that was affected by the storm. The study shows that the Southern African Development Community didn't play much of a role in providing emergency assistance. The study found that the Southern African Development Community has invested a lot in climate change and adaptation measures rather than responding quickly to the impact of storms in the country. The establishment of a good office in the Southern African Development Community would be important in the event of a storm in the region.

Regional Differences in Carbon Budgets and Inter-Regional Compensation Zoning: A Case Study of Chongqing, China

Carbon compensation can guide human activities in reducing carbon emissions or increasing carbon sequestration and also represents an important approach for coordinating regional development. In this paper, Chongqing Municipality, whose internal development is varied, was selected as a case study. The annual carbon emissions, carbon sequestration, carbon deficits, and inter-regional carbon compensation costs from 2000 to 2021 were continuously estimated via local optimization methods, and a carbon compensation zoning scheme was proposed that integrates the present situation and trend analysis. The results show that (1) Chongqing’s total carbon emissions were greater than the total carbon sequestration, and the carbon deficit was approximately 556.24 × 104 t~3621.58 × 104 t. (2) County-level carbon budgets have large regional differences; the counties that should always receive carbon compensation are from the southeast and northeast regions, and the counties that should always pay carbon compensation are from central urban areas and the surrounding new urban areas. (3) All the counties were zoned into key payment areas, basic payment areas, key recipient areas, and basic recipient areas. The key payment areas, which account for 39.47%, maintain and grow payment status and are the main sources of carbon compensation costs, while the key recipient areas, which account for 44.74%, maintained a negative compensation status and a continuous downward trend, meaning that they may receive increasing carbon compensation costs. This paper revealed inequities in carbon compensation and proposed a novel zoning solution, which can provide scientific reference and data support for further establishing inter-regional carbon compensation mechanisms.

Hygroscopic hydrogel-based cooling system for photovoltaic panels: An experimental and numerical study

Thermal management is an essential aspect of photovoltaic (PV) system design because of the negative effects of high temperatures on the efficiency of PV panels. The use of hygroscopic hydrogels for the evaporative cooling of PV panels is an emerging technique that has attracted attention owing to the high latent heat and recyclability of these materials. However, a comprehensive understanding of the heat and mass transport mechanisms in hygroscopic hydrogels is necessary. Factors that would ensure the long-term performance of PV panel/hydrogel (PV/HG) systems under real-world conditions are still poorly understood, and the intrinsic properties of hydrogels and the effect thereof on their cooling performance have hitherto remained unexplored. Herein, we propose a mathematical model for hydrogel-cooled PV panels to study the heat and mass transfer mechanisms of PV/HG systems in practical environments. The model is used to examine the impact of the thermal conductivity, diffusion coefficient, and thickness of the hydrogel on the performance of the PV/HG system. Unlike previously reported approaches to enhance the efficiency, in this study, the external heat transfer resistance and internal mass transfer resistance were identified as the primary controlling factors. Enhancement of the thermal conductivity of the hydrogel is shown to have a limited effect on the performance, whereas improving the water diffusion within the hydrogel significantly boosts the system efficiency. Optimally, the thickness of the hydrogel must be such that it balances the heat and mass transfer distances with the available water volume. During the summer in Guangzhou, China, a 6-mm thick layer of hydrogel lowered the temperature of a PV cell by up to 7.5 °C to increase the daily power generation by 2.1%. Analysis of the nationwide situation showed that hydrogels have substantial potential for lowering the peak PV panel temperatures (by as much as 19.3 °C) to mitigate fluctuations in the output power. Our findings offer valuable insights into the design of PV/HG systems towards improving their performance.

Track-II Diplomacy in the Format of Situational Analysis: The Experience of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences

This paper examines the practice of implementing Track-II diplomacy as practiced by the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IORAS) in the form of situational analysis, a methodology developed by Academician Yevgeny Primakov. This approach represents an effective tool for resolving international conflicts and enhancing global security by combining science with diplomacy. Special attention is given to a series of three expert discussions on the Concept of Collective Security in the Persian Gulf region, held at IORAS from 2019 to 2023. These discussions demonstrated the method's ability to bring together a broad range of experts for in-depth interdisciplinary analysis of complex international situations. The practical focus of the results from these situational analyses makes them valuable for both policy recommendations and long-term strategic planning. The application of this method fosters the creation of trustful relationships between conflicting parties and the establishment of sustainable mechanisms for international security. The paper also highlights the significance of this practice for the development of Russian foreign policy strategy and its contribution to the interdisciplinary study of international relations.

Drug supply management at first-level public health facilities: Case of Pyay District, Myanmar.

First-level public health facilities (PHFs) serve as primary providers of essential medicines, necessitating critical attention to drug availability and quality assurance. This study aimed to examine the status of functional areas within the drug supply chain management framework and assess the overall capability maturity at first-level PHFs. The cross-sectional study was conducted among 183 drug store sites from six townships of Pyay District. Only situational analysis was exercised to determine the existing situations. The overall capability maturity was determined according to the definitions of levels of the Capability Maturity Module Tool. 58.47% lacked formal drug supply management training, with 23.5% not undergoing performance reviews. Drug forecasting predominantly relied on a pen-paper system (91.6%) and factors like patient load (87.39%), drug consumption (85.71%), and disease prevalence (64.71%). Store site analysis revealed that 65.03% exhibited marginal capability, lacking standardized drugstores and employing unstandardized procedures. Storage practices varied, with 48.69% storing drugs conveniently and others categorizing them by drug type (32.79%) or using the first-expired-first-out system (40.98%). Approximately 42.69% reported having expired drugs. Concerning transportation costs, 37.16% incurred expenses exceeding 20,000 Kyats per time, with management staff often covering the costs. Waste management methods included burial pits (49.18%), incineration (62.84%), and sharp pits (55.19%). A majority (78.14%) used safety boxes, and 57.38% implemented a color-coded system for waste bins. The logistics management information system was entirely paper-based (100%). On average, assessments of drug quality conditions and physical damages scored 46.51% and 48.20%, respectively. The overall supply chain maturity at first-level public health facilities is at a marginal capability level (36.35%). While some basic drug supply chain management procedures were in place, they were not consistently followed, and many systems remain manual. The findings underscored significant inconsistencies in the management functions of supplied drugs, with poor adherence to Standard Operating Procedure guidelines.

How to Construct Immersive Anti-Fraud Education Curriculum

With the rapid development of online commercial services and mobile payments, internet fraud methods are emerging in an endless stream, posing serious threats to individuals and society. To enhance the effectiveness of anti-fraud education and improve the cyber security awareness and anti-fraud capabilities of the public, especially the younger generation. Based on an analysis of the current severe situation of internet fraud and its impact on society, this paper summarizes and evaluates the shortcomings and areas for improvement of existing traditional anti-fraud education methods. It combines the theoretical basis of immersive education and its application in other educational fields to propose the idea of constructing an immersive anti-fraud education curriculum. The paper analyzes the advantages of immersive anti-fraud education, including enhancing student engagement and experience, improving learning outcomes, providing personalized learning plans, stimulating learning interest, and achieving real-time feedback and adjustments. Several feasible implementation methods for immersive anti-fraud education are presented, combining emerging virtual reality technology and real-life interactive games. Each method can enhance students' fraud prevention awareness and skills to varying degrees. The paper also provides a detailed introduction on how to design an immersive anti-fraud education curriculum, including the setting of teaching objectives, content design, technology application, teaching methods, evaluation methods, and continuous improvement. Through this research, we hope to provide educators with a new perspective and method to help students better protect themselves in the online environment, while also contributing to the development of the field of cybersecurity education.

Breathing democratic air: North Korean refugees’ journey to sociocultural learning about democracy

This study investigates the acquisition of normative knowledge and values about democracy by North Korean refugees in the United States through everyday experiences and academic concepts. Drawing on Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory, which posits that knowledge is socially constructed and forms the basis of a society’s culture, an analysis is conducted on the sociocultural learning experiences of democracy among North Korean refugees. Utilizing Clarke’s situational analysis of interview transcripts, various scenes of sociocultural learning about democracy and the interpretation of these experiences by North Korean refugees compared to their past in North Korea are uncovered. A common space (e.g. ESL courses) for teaching refugees about democracy can serve as a valuable platform for non-traditional, adult refugee learners, regardless of their educational background, affordability or status. The study’s findings underscore the significance of providing refugees with opportunities for democratic education in a new cultural context, with potential implications for democratic citizenship education.

Development of an educational model with a management approach to improve the competency of diabetes educator nurses; utilizing King's conceptual framework and goal attainment theory

Background Education for diabetes patients is not managed well by diabetes nurse educators because the competency of diabetes nurse educators is low, and the number of diabetes nurse educators in hospitals is not commensurate with the number of diabetes patients, which is much larger. Methods This qualitative phenomenological research uses an exploratory design. Twenty nurse managers and forty staff nurses who participated in the focus group discussion (FGD) were selected using purposive sampling. Nine staff nurses who participated in in-depth interviews were selected using the snowball method. The results of the FGD exploration and in-depth interviews produced components for developing an educational model with a management approach. The development of this educational model uses an input, process, output, and outcome approach. The input uses King’s conceptual framework approach, the method uses the theory of goal attainment and management functions, the output is the competency of nurses to educate diabetes patients, and the outcome is the health literacy of diabetes patients. This educational model was reviewed by three experts: a nursing management expert, a diabetes mellitus expert, and a health literacy expert. Results The educational model for Diabetes nurse educators with a management approach consists of five stages: 1) Educational planning includes identifying educational targets, strategy formulation, and situation analysis. 2) Organizing nursing resources includes strengthening the role of nurses as diabetes educators. 3) Nursing staff includes intraprofessional collaboration and collaboration between nurses and patient families. 4) Direction includes nurses’ motivation for diabetes patients and respecting the culture and values of diabetes patients. 5) Control includes evaluating nurse education for diabetes patients. Conclusion This education model has five competencies, which are structured and systematic so that diabetes nurse educators have the competence to manage diabetes patient education: the personal system, interpersonal system, and social system influence nurse competency.

Developing a Global Strategy for strengthening the occupational therapy workforce: a two-phased mixed-methods consultation of country representatives shows the need for clarifying task-sharing strategies

IntroductionOccupational therapy has been underdeveloped and often neglected in the global health workforce agenda, contrasting with the global rise of population needs for services. The World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) is utilizing a research-based, multi-step process for developing a Global Strategy for strengthening the occupational therapist workforce. A multi-pronged scoping review, situational analysis, and expert input process enabled the drafting of a provisional Global Strategy. Here, feedback on that draft from representatives of WFOT member organizations was obtained and analyzed as one key intermediate step toward shaping the in-developing Strategy’s content and structure.MethodsTwo-phased, mixed-methods consultation consisting of: (1) online survey with score ratings and comments on the utility of each strategy and (2) four in-person focus groups discussions on low-scoring items involving a total of 76 representatives of WFOT member organizations. The focus group discussions were analyzed using an inductive thematic analysis approach.ResultsStrategies involving ‘task shifting/task sharing’ or the ‘harmonization of workforce data-collection requirements’ received the lowest scores in the initial survey and were thereby addressed in the focus groups discussions. The overarching theme of the focus groups was the need to: “clarify, specify, and contextualize the strategies”, including: (1) “clarify the terminology and specify the application”, for example, describe the meaning of task shifting, specify which tasks can (and cannot) be shifted and to whom, to address concerns regarding scope-of-practice, service demand, and safety; and (2) “outline the context of need and the context for the implementation” of the strategies, elucidating why the strategies are needed and how they can be feasibly implemented across the different jurisdictional contexts.ConclusionWithin a mixed-methods consultation, WFOT representatives identified challenging topics on the draft workforce strategies and suggested methods to improve the Global Strategy, its acceptability, and implementation. The terms ‘task shifting/task sharing’ raised the greatest discussion among the profession leaders, when the strategy was not sufficiently clarified, specified, or contextualized.

SOCIALIZATION OF CHILDREN'S RIGHTS AS A PREVENTIVE EFFORTS OF CHILD BULLYING AT THE NUR KAROMAH ORPHANAGE DEPOK

Bullying is still an important issue that needs serious handling, especially involving children as both perpetrators and victims. The impact of bullying is very detrimental to children, reducing self-confidence, fear that it can lead to suicidal behavior or physical violence. Therefore, it is felt that this socialization activity on children's rights needs to be carried out as an effort to prevent bullying among the children of Panti Nur Karomah Depok. The method used in this activity consists of five stages, namely situation analysis, internal partner analysis, goal setting, implementation and evaluation. In implementing activities, the delivery of material uses video media and pictorial material that is interesting to children. The presentation of the material was also followed by games and questions and answers so that participants were more enthusiastic and active in participating in the activity. The results of this activity were less than 50% of participants taking the pretest, but all pretest participants answered that they had laughed at their friends. Some of them thought that it was just a joke, because they didn't know what they were doing, it could be considered nonverbal bullying.

Target Situation Analysis (TSA) To Examine The Expert Viewpoint About The Academic Writing Demands To Author A Research Thesis In Social Sciences: A Review Study In English For Academic Purposes

Target Situation Analysis (TSA) is used in this review study to investigate the expert opinion about the requirements for academic writing when producing a social science research thesis, specifically about English for Academic Purposes (EAP). According to Basturkmen (2010) and Dudley-Evans & St. John (1998), task-specific assessment (TSA) entails determining the particular tasks, abilities, and language requirements of students in the intended academic setting. This article focuses on the expectations of examiners in EAP, important academic norms for thesis writing, and linguistic and rhetorical elements that can help ESL students overcome obstacles. In order to fulfill the demands of ESL students doing social science research, this TSA intends to inform effective instructional approaches and support systems by reviewing the body of existing literature. These writing requirements were assessed using a systematic literature review methodology and a qualitative design. Themes including thesis writing, the function of the social sciences, academic expectations, and the flow and structure of the thesis were identified through thematic analysis of scholarly guides and studies. Important findings show that writing with precision, consistency, and clarity is still quite difficult, especially for non-native speakers. In order to produce high-quality theses, social science researchers need certain abilities including critical thinking and good communication in addition to language[1] competency. The results underscore the necessity of customized assistance, including focused writing training, mentorship, and peer evaluation, in order to improve research thesis quality in Pakistan and foster scholarly distinction. Future studies should concentrate on efficient teaching strategies, the influence of language ability on the caliber of theses, and the creation of assessment instruments to help students even more. By addressing these unmet requirements for academic writing in Pakistan, researchers will be better equipped to do excellent work that makes a significant contribution to their areas.

Competitive position of sand-lime bricks in the domestic market, threats and opportunities for manufacturers

The problem of assessing the prospects of silicate bricks in the domestic market of small wall materials is discussed. The solution to this problem is based on the results of the analysis of the market situation, consumer preferences and competitiveness of silicate bricks. It is shown that in the period from 2014 to 2021 due to the stronger competitive position of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks and face ceramic bricks, the capacity of the market of silicate bricks decreased, its production volume and share in the structure of consumption of small-piece wall materials. The results of marketing research conducted on the basis of online questionnaires of respondents are presented, according to which the majority of respondents consider face ceramic bricks to be the material that best meets their requirements in terms of quality and appearance. The calculations showed that despite the fact that ceramic bricks have almost equal positions in terms of technical parameters and worse positions in terms of aesthetics, the most competitive material is, nevertheless, silicate bricks, which have a relatively low price. A number of threats for silicate brick producers include a decrease in demand for products, a high degree of wear and tear of technological equipment, dependence on foreign supplies of pigments, spare parts and components for equipment, insufficient level of professional competence of the personnel, etc. It is expected that in the future a number of manufacturers of sand-lime bricks will have to face the following challenges. It is assumed that in the future the ordinary silicate bricks will apparently “leave” the construction market, in connection with which manufacturers will have to focus on improving the quality and aesthetic parameters of facial silicate bricks while maintaining an attractive price for consumers.

The Informational-Educational Environment of Additional Professional Education for Learning the Basics of Green Construction

The relevance of the topic of the article is determined by the need to introduce promising green building technology into domestic construction practice. The purpose of the article is based on the analysis of the current situation with green construction in Russia to substantiate the need for students of the system of additional professional education to master the basics of green construction technology and to develop an educational retraining program and appropriate educational and methodological support related to the study of the basics of green construction. The following research methods are used: theoretical analysis of scientific results devoted to the identification of the essence of development and the establishment of trends in various systems of civil engineering education, analysis of curricula and manuals for architectural and construction training of students; expert analytical methods for evaluating the content of methodological and software tools designed to master special disciplines in architectural and construction training of students in the context of digital transformation of education. As a result of the analysis of scientific publications in the field of educational management, the need to improve the system in the field of architectural and construction training and the development of green building technology has been identified. The analysis of the existing shortcomings of traditional construction project management is carried out, the need to study the basics of green construction and develop appropriate educational and methodological materials implemented in the context of digital transformation of the construction industry is justified. The content structure for the development of an electronic educational resource for the study of the discipline is considered, the content of each block of content is described, and the connections between the blocks are shown. The reasons hindering the development of engineering management of green construction in Russia are systematized. Advanced training of students in the field of green construction will help to overcome the factors hindering the introduction of green technology in domestic construction. The results of the article may be of interest to specialists of architectural and construction universities engaged in the preparation of bachelors and masters for the construction industry in the context of digital transformation of education. Temperature Field Distribution and Thermal Stress Analysis of Pumped Storage Electric Motors

Abstract With the increasingly important role of pumped storage in energy systems, new and higher requirements have been put forward for the operation, safety, and economy of pumped storage power plants. The article takes a three-phase salient pole synchronous pumped storage motor as the research object, by using ANSYS finite element analysis software, a finite element model of a three-phase synchronous generator motor was established to analyze the internal temperature field distribution and thermal stress distribution of the motor. The results show that the higher temperature region of the entire system was concentrated at the winding, followed by the stator and rotor. Therefore, when optimizing the design of the motor in the future, the first step should be to start from the winding. The analysis of the thermal stress situation of the stator shows that the thermal stress and strain were mainly distributed at the inner diameter of the stator core, which was consistent with the distribution of the temperature field at the stator. The results of this study can provide theoretical guidance for the key maintenance areas and maintenance time of pumped storage power generation motors.

Strengthening Community Healthy Behavior to Support Tourism Area

Kenjeran Beach Amusement Park is one of the beaches with a strategic area bordering the Madura Strait. In addition, Kenjeran Beach Amusement Park also provides several facilities that can be enjoyed by tourists. The results of observations, still found low personal hygiene of food vendors, not all food vendors provide trash bins, and tourists are still seen littering. Based on the results of the problem situation analysis, it is necessary to strengthen healthy behavior in the community around the tourist area. The targets of the activity were elementary school students around the Kenjeran beach tourism area in Surabaya City 113 students and food and beverage vendors in the Kenjeran beach tourism area 20 in number, using total sampling. The purpose of community service activities carried out to strengthen community healthy living behavior to support tourism areas in the Kenjeran Beach area, Surabaya. The implementation that has been carried out in this community service are education to elementary school children, education to food vendors, observation of the cleanliness of the tourist area observation of how to serve snacks and laboratory tests of microbial contamination in food/beverage snacks. Then to evaluate understanding after education by analyzing the mean value of pre-test and post-test. The results of this activity have provided education for elementary school students regarding clean and healthy living behavior in the area even though the average pre-test score of 6.15 decreased to 6.07 during the post-test. The socialization of safe and healthy snacks for food vendors in THP Kenjeran Lama has also been carried out with the pre-test score having an average of 5.2 then increased to 8.7 at the time of the post-test. Laboratory test results showed a very alarming condition, namely 88.89% of food-beverage samples were contaminated with microbes with various types of bacteria. Suggestions from the results of this activity are still the need for more intensive education to school children about the selection of snacks and diseases transmitted through food and beverages. There is still a need for assistance from food vendors in processing and serving food and drinks by sanitary hygiene standards.
