Based on functional requirement analysis, guidance and control system is reasonably designed in aspects such as system structure, composition and procedures, etc. The system can provide necessary as-sistance for commanders in mission planning and dispatch command.

Advanced Split BIRCH Algorithm in Reconfigurable Network

The Balanced Iterative Reducing and Clustering using Hierarchies (BIRCH) has a disadvantage that it reduced the accuracy of the arbitrary shape clustering algorithm clusters, to this end a split improved BIRCH algorithm (AS-Birch) was put forward. Through the analysis of the reconfigurable network and a detailed analysis of application scenarios and functional requirements of business clustering, according to the different characteristics of each clustering algorithm, we choose a hierarchical clustering algorithm BIRCH as a business solution to the clustering programs. On the basis of the drawbacks in BIRCH algorithm, we designed split improved BIRCH algorithm and the specific steps of the algorithm is given. Finally, Advanced Split BIRCH algorithm was applied to a detailed experimental simulation experiments show in reconfigurable network. The experiment suggests: AS-BIRCH algorithm has a greater improvement in terms of packet loss rate, delay and jitter than BIRCH algorithm, especially when dealing with irregular shape cluster, AS-BIRCH algorithm greatly improved the accuracy rate concerning to the business clustering.

Design Method for Folding Boom Structure of Elevating Platform Rescue Fire Truck

The boom is the most important load-carrying part of the elevating platform rescue fire truck, and its design level directly affects on the function and value of fire truck. Based on the functional requirement analysis, the working height and boom type are determined. With mechanical calculation, the section part of folding boom is designed. According to the optimization design of luffing three hinged points of the lower boom, the mounting position of luffing cylinder next to the lower boom and the turntable size are obtained. Based on the presented design methods and process, the folding boom model is built with Pro/E software.

Hardware Design of Tractor AMT Controller Based on DSP

Automatic transmission technology is applied in tractor to solve the problems that frequent shift and driving level influences tractor working efficiency and fuel economy. Based on the analysis of tractor AMT control system structure and functional requirements, the overall design scheme of tractor AMT control system is put forward in this paper. The tractor AMT controller hardware circuit which takes DSP as a core chip is designed. Besides, the main hardware circuit is simulated and analyzed. The simulation results show that the tractor AMT controller circuit module works stably to meet the requirements of tractor performance.

El Sistema PruebaL es un producto del proyecto Evaluación Cualitativa a Través de Dispositivos Móviles, cuyo objetivo es analizar e implementar un sistema para gestionar procesos de evaluación. La temática se enmarca dentro de los conceptos de mobile learnig y su desarrollo consistió en el análisis de requerimientos funcionales y no funcionales, la definición del sistema, el diseño para las relaciones modulares de profesor, estudiante, administrador y pruebas y la implementación utilizando tecnología de teléfonos celulares. Se alcanzaron dos logros fundamentales: un modelo de evaluación cualitativa automatizada con el sistema PruebaL y la notificación efectiva a los teléfonos celulares matriculados en las bases de datos de estudiantes, para la presentación de las evaluaciones y el acceso Web a estas.

The storage management system manages and controls for storage in-out stock activities, and has an important significance for coordinating production and operation of enterprise, improving economic efficiency. Requirement analysis is the basis of software development, mainly is functional requirement analysis and performance requirement analysis. First, do the functional requirement analysis, through analysis the business processes, analysis the main functions and processes of system with data flow diagram, and list the buyer, purchase commodity information, sales production, commodity stock table and data dictionary item. Then, do performance requirement analysis; describe the main content of the three aspects of accuracy, time characteristics and flexibility, especially analysis the C/S structure model to build software systems. In this paper, describes the overall concept of software function and performance as the specific software requirement specification, lays a foundation for the development of storage management system.

UML-Based Two-Way Referral MIS Requirement Analysis

China’s community health services starts in 1997 and becomes the most important part of the urban health services system with the development of China’s social security system and community security. Two-way referral system in China came into being with the further development of community medical services. This paper studies the construction of two-way referral management information system based on the social security system platform using information management system and UML language based on the survey of the present implementation of two-way referral system. The two-way referral management information system includes the feasible analysis, the analysis of functional requirement, the on-stream analysis of two-way referral process, the on-stream analysis of two-way referral management information system, the design of functional configuration and functional module. The paper aims to reduce the cost of two-way referral and increase the visiting rate and medical care of community health service organization.

The Functional Requirements Analysis of A/W High Altitude Cleaning Overall Materials

This paper chooses 8 kinds of materials, measure their air permeability, moisture penetrability, waterproofness, abrasive performance and antistatic property. Based on the comprehensive consideration, select the Vinyl chloride-acrylonitrile copolymer with antistatic property and waterproofness as the primary material, use other materials at local areas according to the specific requirements as to optimize the function.

Design process of the nanofluid injection mechanism in nuclear power plants

Nanofluids, which are engineered suspensions of nanoparticles in a solvent such as water, have been found to show enhanced coolant properties such as higher critical heat flux and surface wettability at modest concentrations, which is a useful characteristic in nuclear power plants (NPPs). This study attempted to provide an example of engineering applications in NPPs using nanofluid technology. From these motivations, the conceptual designs of the emergency core cooling systems (ECCSs) assisted by nanofluid injection mechanism were proposed after following a design framework to develop complex engineering systems. We focused on the analysis of functional requirements for integrating the conventional ECCSs and nanofluid injection mechanism without loss of performance and reliability. Three candidates of nanofluid-engineered ECCS proposed in previous researches were investigated by applying axiomatic design (AD) in the manner of reverse engineering and it enabled to identify the compatibility of functional requirements and potential design vulnerabilities. The methods to enhance such vulnerabilities were referred from TRIZ and concretized for the ECCS of the Korean nuclear power plant. The results show a method to decouple the ECCS designs with the installation of a separate nanofluids injection tank adjacent to the safety injection tanks such that a low pH environment for nanofluids can be maintained at atmospheric pressure which is favorable for their injection in passive manner.

Service Learning and Integrated, Collaborative Project Management

This article describes the development of an undergraduate course on project management that incorporates experiential learning and service learning as the primary course learning methodology to instill in students the Project Management Institute's nine Knowledge Areas. The discussed instructional method is a dynamic and participative pedagogy. The project management course content is traditionally structured around system needs and analysis identification, functional requirements analysis, project timelines, network analysis, and project progress metrics. Introduction of service-learning projects and experiential learning pedagogies provides a pragmatic approach for applying project management concepts. This article compares and contrasts the first three offerings of this course and provides lessons learned that may be helpful to others wishing to embrace project management realism in their course work. The purpose of this article is to encourage a hands-on method for learning the nine Knowledge Areas in the undergraduate classroom.

Functional Requirements Analysis of Energy Management System

Presented in this study is a top-down functional modeling procedure and the desired functionalities of energy management system (EMS). For the purpose of top-down modeling for EMS, energy management system is categorized into 7 subsystems based on common functionalities and energy management life cycle. After that, benchmarking analysis of commercially major EMS products is conducted. As a result of this analysis, desired functionalities of each subsystem of EMS are suggested in this study. This study is served as a useful guidance about essential functional requirements of energy management system to the practitioners involved in the development or introduction of EMS.

QFD-Based Analysis of Quality Functional Requirements of Wooden Acoustic Panels

As the WAP (Wooden Acoustic Panel) is a kind of newly-emerged functional and decorative building material, this dissertation conducted a scientific analysis on its qualitative and functional design requirements. The method of QFD (Quality Function Deployment) was introduced in this dissertation. Through market survey, voice of customer about qualitative requirements on the WAP was obtained, while a customer needs deployment table was gained based on requirement transformation and clustering. Then a technical requirement deployment table was prepared corresponding to the customers’ requirements. Finally, the quality house for product plan and location of components were acquired. The result indicates that the quality and function requirement of WAP obviously cover the following perspectives: firstly attaching great importance to improvement in acoustic absorption and price reduction, specifically paying attention to material selection of core materials, panel thickness, punching rate and aperture; secondly taking environmental protection and decorative function into consideration which means to concern surface material selection, decorative function and glue joint technique, and finally thinking about the sizes of panels and convenience in installation.

Efficiency and availability driven R&D issues for DEMO

DEMO is the main step foreseen after ITER to demonstrate the technological and commercial viability of a fusion power plant. DEMO R&D requirements are usually identified on the basis of the functions expected from each individual system. An approach based on the analysis of overall plant functional requirements sheds new light on R&D needs. The analysis presented here focuses on two overall functional requirements, efficiency and availability. The results of this analysis are presented here putting emphasis on systems not sufficiently considered up to now, e.g. the heating and current drive systems, while more commonly addressed systems such as tritium breeding blankets are not discussed in detail. It is also concluded that an overall functional analysis should be adopted very early in the DEMO conceptual design studies in order to provide a fully integrated approach, which is an absolute requirement to ensure that the ambitious goals of this device will be ultimately met.

Integrating rough set clustering and grey model to analyse dynamic customer requirements

Customer requirements analysis is of critical importance in design for mass customization. The present paper investigates two important issues in customer requirements analysis. The first is clustering for the customer requirements and the product features (functional requirements), and the consistency analysis approach is applied to link customer groups with clusters of product features. The second issue concerns trends analysis of dynamic customer requirements and functional requirements on the basis of consistency analysis of customer groups and product feature clusters. A novel methodology integrating popular clustering techniques (such as fuzzy clustering and rough set) and grey theory is proposed for accomplishing the two tasks. It focuses on customer group based knowledge of customer requirements from the transaction records. This is used to provide decision support for product development by analysing historical data. A case study is presented to illustrate the proposed method.

Self-reconfigurable software architecture: Design and implementation

To respond quickly to the rapidly changing manufacturing environment, it is imperative for the system to have such capabilities as flexibility, adaptability, and reusability. The fractal manufacturing system (FrMS) is a new manufacturing paradigm designed to meet these requirements. To facilitate a dynamic reconfiguration of system elements (i.e., fractals), agents as well as software modules should be self-reconfigurable. Embodiment of a self-reconfigurable manufacturing system can be achieved by using self-reconfigurable software architecture. In this paper, therefore, self-reconfigurable software architecture is designed by conducting the following studies: (1) analysis of functional requirements of a fractal and environmental constraints, (2) design of reconfigurable software architecture especially for a reconfigurable agent, (3) selection of proper techniques to implement software modules, and realization of software architecture equipped with self-reconfigurability. To validate this approach, the designed architecture is applied to the FrMS.

사용자 이벤트 기반의 정보구조 모델링을 이용한 비즈니스 업무 분석에서의 클래스 추출 방법

비즈니스 시스템 분석을 위한 유스케이스 모델링은 유스케이스의 기능 별 분해 수준 및 시나리오의 구체적인 기술 단계를 어느 수준까지 작성해야 할 지 결정하기 어렵고 사용자가 분석 결과를 쉽게 이해하기가 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 비즈니스 시스템 분석 단계에서 사용자와 개발자 모두 쉽게 이해할 수 있는 표기법을 사용하여 사용자의 요구사항을 직관적으로 표현할 수 있는 정보구조 모델링을 정의하고, 객체 타입 별로 이벤트 객체, 재산 객체, 거래 객체로 분류 정의하여 추출하는 방법에 대해 제안함으로써 사용자의 요구사항 변경에 쉽게 대처하고, 개발자들이 분석 결과를 기반으로 설계를 위한 클래스 도출을 보다 용이하게 할 수 있도록 한다. Use case modeling is a widely used technique for functional requirements analysis of business system but it is difficult to identify a use cases at the right level and use case specifications are too long and confusing. It is also hard to determine a functional decomposition Phases·s of use cases. Therefore customer doesn't understand the use cases. This paper is defining concept of the Information Structure Modeling(ISM) and analyzing business system for the customer's perspective. ISM is an efficient mechanism for analyzing user requirements and for Identifying objects in a business system using Attribute Structure Diagram which is a major tool of the ISM that describes user event. This paper is also to show how the classes are classified and derived as event-asset-transaction type in ISM. It provides a user-friendly approach to visually representing business model.

Supporting use case based requirements engineering

Use cases that describe possible interactions involving a system and its environment are increasingly being accepted as effective means for functional requirements elicitation and analysis. In the current practice, informal definitions of use cases are used and the analysis process is manual. In this paper, we present an approach supported by a tool for use cases based requirements engineering. Our approach includes use cases formalization, a restricted form of natural language for use cases description, and the derivation of an executable specification as well as a simulation environment from use cases.
