Traditional and Guerrilla marketing, research methodology comprising case study and quantitative research method, based on the results of the analysis of the scientific literature and the result of the research suggestions are made. Cases of partisan marketing in public transport are rarely studied in the scientific literature.

Using the Work Ability Index (WAI) to assess the possibility of returning to the profession after treatment

The use of the index of working capacity in medicine and occupational safety makes it possible to assess the individual working capacity of workers, to predict the possibility of retaining workers in the profession. A survey using the ability to work index helps to identify personnel who have an increased risk of dismissal and absence from work related to health and poor work results. Various pathological conditions can take an employee out of work for different periods, but it is extremely important to understand whether it is possible to preserve the employee's specialty and the prospects for his socialization. The disease changes not only the physical, but also the psycho-emotional state of the employee. The authors presented an analysis of modern scientific literature on the international experience of using the ability to work index to predict the possibility of returning to work in the specialty after treatment of diseases, rehabilitation. The work ability index can be used as a criterion for the effectiveness of treatment and rehabilitation after illness and subsequent employment. The link between quality of life and returning to work is of great importance. The ability to work of employees with various diseases, who have received different types of treatment, including surgical interventions, chemoradiotherapy and returned to work, is reduced compared with healthy employees. Recovery depends on the stage of the disease, the type of treatment and concomitant pathology. The risk of early retirement increases in the first years after cancer treatment. Professional rehabilitation promotes the fullest integration of an employee into society through professional self-realization.

Towards an Integrated Performance Management and Measurement System for healthcare organisations: a case study in Montreal

This study proposes an approach for developing or improving performance management and measurement systems (PMMSs) for healthcare organisations. First, data is collected to analyse and understand the current organisation’s performance management system. Second, the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) method is used to identify the main aspects of the performance management system to be improved. Third, based on the scientific literature and SWOT analysis, BSC principles are integrated to this performance management system to better align the organisation’s performance objectives and indicators with its strategy. Finally, we develop a performance indicator structure and select indicators to be used as well as how these indicators could be integrated and shared with higher hierarchical levels in the organisation by using AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). Our approach is applied to the CIUSSS du Centre-Sud-de-l’île-de-Montreal (CCSMTL), a large healthcare network, in the province of Québec, Canada.

Роль іноземних капіталів у формуванні господарської системи України: аналіз наукової літератури другої половини XIX – початку XX ст.

The article is devoted to the analysis of scientific literature of the second half of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries, regarding the role of foreign capital in the formation of the economic system of Ukraine. In the context of modern challenges as to the financial support of the war economy, and in the future – of the post-war recovery, attention is focused on the presence of a wide scientific discourse on the search for financial sources of reconstruction, whose important aspect is the attraction of foreign capital. An important informative source for the development of this issue is the presence of domestic historical experience of the period of market-industrial transformations, when Ukraine’s economic system developed as part of the overall imperial complex, and foreign investments became an important factor in its formation and development. In particular, it was found that due to direct and portfolio foreign investments, extensive modernization of this country's industry, and development of the financial sector and communication routes took place, which gives grounds to characterize foreign investment as one of the main stimulating factors for the development of an economic system. Along with this, it is emphasized that foreign investment can be considered a factor in the innovative development of Ukraine’s economy in the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries, due to the promotion of the creation of new branches of production, the introduction of new technologies and methods of production organization into domestic practice, etc. An important practical conclusion of the conducted research is that the existing historical experience is an important source of substantiation of modern state policy measures in terms of ensuring a favorable institutional environment for attracting foreign capital for the implementation of socially significant projects of modernization and restoration.

Cloud-Native Systems Implementation in the Polish SME Enterprises

Purpose: The main purpose of the article is to examine the needs and the attitudes of small and medium enterprises sector regarding cloud computing usage in implementation of Management Information System in cloud-native strategy. Other objectives of the study are to examine the state-of-the-art of cloud computing models and cloud-native approach in SMEs and the willingness of SMEs to develop cloud-based solutions such as MIS software. Design/methodology/approach: Methods used in research are critical analysis of scientific literature and reports and publicly available statistical data analysis. A literature review about cloud computing, implementation methodologies, security needs and concept of building cloud native strategy is presented likewise to the summary and characteristics of SMEs (small and medium enterprises), their specific needs, ways of doing business, the most common information systems used by them, and the adoption of cloud-based versions of these systems. Findings: The main result and findings of the research are presented as a SWOT analysis of MIS systems implementation in the cloud environment. The paper presents updated state of knowledge in cloud-native MIS systems implementation from the Polish perspective and updated characteristics of small and medium enterprises sector in Poland. Research limitations/implications: The study used secondary data obtained only from the open databases available at this stage of the research. Subsequent stages of research in the area of security of native cloud systems should include data obtained directly from companies and other economic entities operating in various sectors using cloud technologies and implementing IT systems in accordance with NIST standards. In the research methodology, the applied strategic analysis methods can be expanded to include statistical and econometric methods. Originality/value: Article can provide value for SME decision makers and software development companies interested in developing their products in the cloud environment.

A Comprehensive Review on the Chinese Herbal Medicine Quzhiqiao

Quzhiqiao is a Chinese herbal medicine widely used in Zhejiang Province of China, which originates from the cultivar Citrus aurantiun ‘Changshanhuyou’, named Changshanhuyou in Chinese. Citrus aurantiun ‘Changshanhuyou’ is a botanical variety of C. aurantium L., which is obtained after long-term domestication. It belongs to the Rutaceae family and mainly grows in Changshan County, Zhejiang Province, China. Quzhiqiao is an authentic Chinese medicinal material in the Zhejiang area with various pharmacological and curative effects. A comprehensive review and indepth analysis of scientific literature on Quzhiqiao was conducted, utilizing diverse electronic databases and additional sources. This review provides a comprehensive overview of its chemical components, standardized quality control, pharmacological activity, and mechanism of action, which also outlines future perspectives, highlighting the necessity for further research for harnessing the potential of the therapeutic use of Quzhiqiao.

Therapeutic Potential of Silicon Supplementation in Age-Related Diseases: A Comprehensive Review

Silicon, the second most abundant element in nature, plays a crucial role in human health. Despite its understated presence, silicon's multifaceted contributions to various physiological processes make it a promising option for therapeutic intervention. Through a comprehensive analysis of recent scientific literature, this review explores the impact of silicon supplementation on bone health, cardiovascular function, metabolic regulation, and neuroprotection. Review methods involved the analysis of scientific publications found in databases such as PubMed and scientific journals, including meta-analyses, randomized trials, and systematic reviews, concerning the scope of medical and nutritional problems, excluding case reports. Key findings suggest that silicon supplementation may positively influence bone mineral density, bone regeneration, and collagen synthesis, offering potential benefits for individuals at risk of osteoporosis and musculoskeletal disorders. Furthermore, evidence highlights silicon's role in regulating cardiovascular health, indicating its potential to mitigate atherosclerosis risk and improve lipid profiles, thereby offering promise in managing conditions such as diabetes and dyslipidemia. Additionally, emerging research underscores silicon's neuroprotective properties, hinting at its potential in combating neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's. This review emphasizes the promising prospect of silicon supplementation as a complementary strategy for enhancing overall health and addressing age-related diseases.

ТЕОРЕТИКО-МЕТОДОЛОГІЧНИЙ АНАЛІЗ ПРОБЛЕМИ ЕМОЦІЙНОЇ СЕПАРАЦІЇ В ПРОЦЕСІ СТАНОВЛЕННЯ ОСОБИСТІСНОЇ ІДЕНТИЧНОСТІ В ЮНАЦЬКОМУ ВІЦІ

Purpose. The article reveals a theoretical and methodological analysis of the problem of emotional separation in the process of forming personal identity in youth. The goal was to study the characteristics of emotional separation in youth. Methods. To achieve the goals, the following methods of scientific and theoretical study of the problem were used: analysis, synthesis, abstraction, systematization, generalization to define the concept of the essence of emotional separation, modeling - in order to determine the impact of emotional separation on the formation of personal identity in youth. Results. The theoretical and methodological analysis of the thematic scientific and psychological literature on the problems of emotional separation and personal self-identity in youth gave reasons to affirm the existence of a relationship between them. As mentioned earlier, the concept of emotional separation has not yet gained momentum in the literature in any field. Psychology and related sciences have the opportunity to accept this concept and build a theoretical basis for it within the framework of our profession. During successful emotional separation, young people and adolescents remain psychologically independent, emotionally separating from their parents while simultaneously developing a sense of trust in them. However, independence from parents is not just emotional separation. Attachment theory emphasizes the importance of the emotional bond between parents and children, which impairs the child's adaptive independence from parents - the process of separation. Secure relationships between parents and adolescents can promote healthy autonomy and, in their case, positive psychosocial adaptation, as well as the formation of personal identity. Conclusions. In adolescence, the child's opportunities expand, which is marked, in particular, by the emotional separation of the subject from his family context. That is, emotional separation of the child from the parents, which is a completely healthy process. Our research is precisely an attempt to reveal how the personal identity of young men is related to the parameters of the relationship between them and their parents, that is, emotional separation.

ПСИХОЛОГІЧНІ ОСОБЛИВОСТІ МІЖОСОБИСТІСНОЇ ВЗАЄМОДІЇ ПРАЦІВНИКІВ ДСНС В УМОВАХ ТРИВАЛОГО ТРАВМАТИЧНОГО СТРЕСУ

Purpose. The study aims to examine the psychological features of interaction between SES employees under conditions of continuous traumatic stress. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were performed: assessment of interpersonal interaction; diagnosing the personal components of interpersonal interaction; to determine the style of interpersonal interaction. Methods. The research used the method of theoretical analysis of scientific literature and empirical study of the problem using the «Methodology for assessing the personal components of interpersonal interaction» (S. Sitnik). Result. Analyzing the study, it is worth noting that in the process of interaction, all types of attitudes towards others are in a certain way connected by the motives of interpersonal interaction, the desire for acceptance, and the desire to establish and maintain relationships. There are also low communication needs, demand for attention from partners, disinterest in establishing emotional relationships, a desire to be among people, and the need to be liked by people, to be accepted into the community. Conclusions. The study allowed us to draw the following conclusions: interpersonal interaction of employees of external services is defined as personal contact that operates in space and time. The interaction took place through communication joint activities, and training, which influenced each other and built certain relationships. For the group, communication skills are the most important factor determining success in both professional and personal spheres. Interpersonal interaction was developed in the process of defining goal and establishing psychological contact.

Data and transaction security as priority in operationalizing blockchain technology in ferry transportation: a literature review

Abstract Blockchain technology has a potential benefit of becoming valuable asset in ferry transportation industry to increase safety, transparency, efficiency and meet increasing market demands in meeting safety and sustainability standards. This study aims to find the important role of blockchain technology in the development of ferry transportation. Two main approaches in describing analytical techniques include bibliometrics to find derivatives of blockchain technology concept, and analytical hierarchy process to obtain alternative priorities in the development of ferry transportation. Journal publications within last ten years obtained through searches on Google Scholar are used as the main data in developing scientific literature analysis. The results found that several alternatives play an important role in the development of blockchain technology applied to ferry transportation include data and transaction security, supply chain tracking, identity and access management, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, interoperability with external systems, transparency and accountability. Three alternatives in developing blockchain technology are main priority in this study and potential to have high novelty value, including data and transaction security, operational efficiency and supply chain tracking. The results of study recommend that the operationalization of ferry transportation really requires the development of blockchain technology to encourage increased safety and sustainability of ferry transportation.

The use of peer questioning in foreign language classes at university

Students currently studying at universities are representatives of generation Z, who have been accustomed and adapted to communication online since childhood using instant messengers and smartphone applications. In the age of digital technology, one of the pressing tasks in educating the younger generation is teaching them personal communication. The aim of this research is theoretical substantiation of the importance, description of the practice of application and experimental test of the peer questioning technique in foreign language classes with information technology students. Peer questioning refers to techniques used as interactive methods of teaching a foreign language. Interactive learning is a mandatory requirement of the Federal State Educational Standard for higher professional education of the latest generation. The main results of this work were: the structure design, the preparation stages, methodology for conducting and evaluating the technique of peer questioning of lexical material as a form of teaching a foreign language to students the of Mathematics and Information Technologies Institute at the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education «Volgograd State University». The paper describes the main features of conducting a peer questioning and its advantages in the development of professional foreign language competence of students. Methods such as review and theoretical analysis of scientific literature, generalization of scientific information, and experimental method were used as research tools. As a result of the study, the use of peer questioning technique was proposed as one of the forms of interactive teaching a foreign language, which contributes to more effective learning of scientific and technical terminology.

Methodological mastery of a foreign language teacher

Relevance. The relevance of the study is determined by the contradictions between the need for foreign language teachers to develop and enhance their professional skills and the conditions of their professional activity, which involve teaching the subject “Foreign Language” according to the ready-made methodological recommendations provided by the authors of educational and methodological complexes. The trend towards unification of educational practices in teaching foreign languages repeatedly actualizes the problem of developing the teacher’s methodological skills.Materials and Methods. The primary material for the study is the analysis results of the educational practice of teaching foreign languages and its theoretical reflection, as well as a generalization of the author’s experience of teaching English in an educational institution of secondary general education. The research methods are traditional, including the analysis of scientific and methodological literature, observations of the process of formation and improvement of the methodological skills of a foreign language teacher, teacher surveys, targeted discussions with colleagues.Results and Discussion. The study proved the interconnection between a foreign language teacher’s methodological mastery and their methodological creativity. The main factors contributing to the decline in methodological creativity among practicing teachers are identified, and the transitioning validity from teaching foreign languages according to pre-prepared methodological recipes to a variable – reflective methodology is substantiated. This transition involves the foreign language competencies formation in students based on the teacher’s individual methodological credo as a creator of the educational process.Conclusion. Methodological mastery of the teacher is the foundation of the effectiveness of their professional activities in developing students’ foreign language competencies. The formation and development of a teacher’s methodological mastery are hindered by both objective and subjective conditions of teaching the subject “Foreign Language”, including the unification of the foreign language learning process and the reliance on the methodological recommendations of textbook authors without considering specific pedagogical situations. The most acceptable way to resolve these contradictions is a systematic transition to a variable – reflective methodology for foreign language teaching.

Drones in Precision Agriculture: A Comprehensive Review of Applications, Technologies, and Challenges

In the face of growing challenges in modern agriculture, such as climate change, sustainable resource management, and food security, drones are emerging as essential tools for transforming precision agriculture. This systematic review, based on an in-depth analysis of recent scientific literature (2020–2024), provides a comprehensive synthesis of current drone applications in the agricultural sector, primarily focusing on studies from this period while including a few notable exceptions of particular interest. Our study examines in detail the technological advancements in drone systems, including innovative aerial platforms, cutting-edge multispectral and hyperspectral sensors, and advanced navigation and communication systems. We analyze diagnostic applications, such as crop monitoring and multispectral mapping, as well as interventional applications like precision spraying and drone-assisted seeding. The integration of artificial intelligence and IoTs in analyzing drone-collected data is highlighted, demonstrating significant improvements in early disease detection, yield estimation, and irrigation management. Specific case studies illustrate the effectiveness of drones in various crops, from viticulture to cereal cultivation. Despite these advancements, we identify several obstacles to widespread drone adoption, including regulatory, technological, and socio-economic challenges. This study particularly emphasizes the need to harmonize regulations on beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) flights and improve economic accessibility for small-scale farmers. This review also identifies key opportunities for future research, including the use of drone swarms, improved energy autonomy, and the development of more sophisticated decision-support systems integrating drone data. In conclusion, we underscore the transformative potential of drones as a key technology for more sustainable, productive, and resilient agriculture in the face of global challenges in the 21st century, while highlighting the need for an integrated approach combining technological innovation, adapted policies, and farmer training.

Audit and Sustainability in The Public Sector: an Analysis of International Scientific Production

Objective: To conduct a bibliometric analysis of the international scientific literature published on the topic of auditing and sustainability in the public sector through co-citation analysis, as proposed by Small (1973), and to identify the main topics discussed (Walter & Ribière, 2013). Theoretical Framework: The emphasis on the role of auditing in analyzing sustainability practices confirms that auditing plays a significant role in highlighting sustainability as an important aspect, which can contribute to mitigating the risk related to environmental violations (Hazaea et al., 2022). Method: To build and visualize bibliometric networks, as well as text mining from articles to visualize co-occurrence networks of key terms related to the topic, using the electronic tool Vosviewer (van Eck & Waltman, 2010). Results and Discussion: The term 'audit', with the majority of co-citations, demonstrates that the audit function is related to the Sustainable Development Goals. It was found that the most influential author is Professor PhD Carolyn J. Cordery, and the journal is Sustainability (Switzerland). Research Implications: As analyzed, the number of accounting and auditing journals found on the subject of this scientific study was quite limited. For future research, it is suggested to conduct studies using other databases. Originality/Value: The topic of audit and sustainability has been little studied in the Brazilian context (which differs from other countries analyzed); thus, identifying a research gap for further discussion on this subject.

Fourth wave technologies in construction and architecture: from idea to realization (part 2)

The Industrial Revolution is the restructuring of society under the influence of innovations in technology and technique, which is accompanied by a jump in productivity. Today, the 4th revolution is taking place, which is rapidly changing the landscape of various areas of life, including architecture and the construction industry. The Industry 4.0 revolution connects technologies used in organizations and people’s daily lives. It combines physical and digital technologies. But it doesn’t develop as a daily simple life in architecture and construction industry like many other industries like as automotive, aircraft, electronic etc. The relevance of the study is to study and analyze the stage of the historical event on the industrial revolutions (specially fourth industrial revolution) and his realization in today’s construction and architecture industry. A comprehensive review of contemporary and historical literature related to fourth industrial revolution, and his realization level in the industry with specific focus on construction and architecture industry. Thus, the main tasks of the study can be distinguished as follows: review of historical literature and basic understanding of the industrial revolutions; understanding of Industry 4.0 and its principles and benefits; reveal and introduce Industry 4.0 in construction and architecture industry; some samples about using Industry 4.0 in construction and architecture industry. Part two of the research is devoted to the idea and explanation of fourth wave technology in construction and architecture. The research used the method of analysis of scientific and historical literature and documents related to the Industrial Revolution (specially fourth industrial revolution) and his achievement in the construction and architecture industry to achieve and formulate conclusions. The conclusion of study is about today’s stage of realization of fourth industrial revolution in the construction and architecture industry and his point of view to next industrial revolution which start from 2017. The author believes that the development of the construction and architecture industry now and in the future depends on the attention and use of new industries and professionals in this industry specially IT specialists and technology. The conclusion of the second part of the study articulates fourth wave technologies in all areas of construction and architecture. The scientific novelty of the study is to study, analysis, identify main factors of Industry 4.0, and collection of some samples of realization of this technology (fourth wave technologies) in construction and architecture industry.

Youth Work in the Republic of Kazakhstan: State and Prospects of Development

The purpose of this article is to analyze the state and prospects of development of youth work in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The analysis of scientific and methodological literature on the subject under study is carried out, the works of many well-known Kazakh and international scientists are studied. The article presents the content of youth policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and analyses the features of the implementation of youth work programmes in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The shortcomings of the implementation of youth policy programs are expressed and ways to improve these programs are considered.

Development of Psychological Support Programs for Military Personnel Considering Combat Experience (Ukrainian Case)

Introduction: Russian aggression against Ukraine has revealed the need not only to counter direct military aggression, but also in the development of effective programs for psychological support of those soldiers who directly performed their duties on the contact line. The purpose of the article is to explore approaches to the development of psychological support programs for military personnel (on the example of Ukraine).Methods: To realize this goal, the method of content analysis of professional scientific literature and the method of comparison were used, that allowed us to trace changes in the understanding of the ways of reintegrating veterans of into society and peaceful life.Results: It was found that the inclusion of educational elements in psychological support programs will contribute to accelerate the recovery process and allow for the partial involvement of servicemen to their rehabilitation. The main components of psychological support programs psychological support programs include individual and group psychotherapy, psychotherapeutic interventions, reintegration programs, educational activities, and accessibility of assistance. The experience of Ukraine has shown that the use of collective support and active involvement of specialists in the development and testing of reintegration programs has a positive impact.Conclusions: To further implement effective programs of psychological support and reintegration psychological support and reintegration programs, it is necessary to provide additional social guarantees to help servicemen find their place in civilian life after completing their service.

THE ROLE OF INTRACELLULAR SIGNALING PATHWAYS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF TROPHIC PATHOLOGIES OF THE LOWER EXTREMITIES AND THEIR REGENERATION UNDER TYPE 2 DIABETES (PART 1)

Introduction. This review article addresses the critical issue of the development and regeneration of chronic trophic ulcers in the context of type 2 diabetes. This pathological process is associated with inhibited cell proliferation, impaired differentiation of various cell types, and disrupted mechanisms that regulate cell death. An analysis of recent scientific literature also highlights the involvement of key intracellular signaling pathways in the development of chronic ulcerative pathologies of the lower extremities, as observed in both experimental animal models and patients with type II diabetes. Despite advancements, this issue remains insufficiently explored in both theory and practice, underscoring its ongoing relevance. The aim of this study is to identify the roles of key signaling pathways—transforming growth factor β (TGF-β), phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/serine-threonine kinase (PI3K/Akt), and Wnt/β-catenin—in the inflammatory response, regenerative mechanisms, and healing processes of soft tissue damage and trophic ulcers in experimental animals and patients with type II diabetes. Materials and Methods. This study is based on an analysis of current scientific literature that addresses this topic. Results. It has been found out that changes in the content and activity of key molecules of signaling pathways lead to disruption of carbohydrate homeostasis and the occurrence of structural and functional dysfunction in damaged tissues against the background of type II diabetes. These include TGF-β, PI3K, Akt and β-catenin. Analysis of experimental data demonstrated that both under the conditions of type II diabetes development and in the occurrence of chronic ulcers of the lower extremities, against the background of this endocrine disease, there is an increase in the level of TGF-β. At the same time the activity of the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway in the above-mentioned studied groups was reduced. The relationship between the development of type II diabetes and the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway has been established. Suppression of its activity was accompanied by impaired regeneration of chronic trophic ulcers in type II diabetes. Conclusion. Thus, the mechanism of type II diabetes and chronic peptic ulcer disease, in the same pathology, is associated with a impaired activity of signaling cascades. This concerns the following cellular systems such as TGF-β, PI3K/Akt and Wnt/β-catenin. They can be considered as potential therapeutic targets for the development of newest methods for the treatment of chronic trophic ulcers in type II diabetes in order to accelerate the recovery process of volumetric tissue damage of the lower extremities.

PATHOPHYSIOLOGICAL AND STRUCTURAL PECULIARITIES OF CARDIAC FIBROSIS DEVELOPMENT IN ATRIAL FIBRILLATION

Introduction. In recent years, the study of the pathogenesis of atrial fibrillation (AF) and its complications resulting from this condition has drawn substantial attention from cardiologists. A comprehensive understanding of this issue is essential for investigating the structural and functional disturbances occurring in the heart during AF. These data are also important for developing novel therapies aimed at preventing the onset and progression of cardiac fibrosis. The aim of this study is to identify the primary pathways that activate cardiac connective tissue cells involved in fibrosogenesis, to examine the structural characteristics of this pathological process, and to investigate the role of fibroblasts in initiating and progressing cardiac fibrosis. Materials and Methods. The primary data for this article were collected through an in-depth analysis of recent scientific literature, with a focus on studies published in the last 5–7 years. Results. A detailed review of primary sources reveals that this cardiological issue has only been partially explored. Findings indicate a close link between the pathophysiological and structural mechanisms of AF and numerous resulting complications, with cardiac fibrosis being a primary consequence. Two major forms of fibrous damage to atrial cardiomyocytes play a key role in the development of cardiac fibrosis associated with AF. This includes both reactive and reparative types of cardiac fibrosis, which develop concurrently in atrial fibrillation. These structural changes lead not only to damage and loss of cardiomyocytes but also to pathological remodeling of fibroblasts, the intercellular matrix, and the atria and ventricles. Disruptions in bioelectrical potential conduction are also observed. Activated fibroblasts play a central role in initiating cardiac fibrosis, with key stages of protein synthesis involved in atrial fibrosis now better understood. Specific intracellular signaling pathways, which present potential therapeutic targets for preventing cardiac fibrosis in AF treatment, have been identified. Conclusion. Atrial fibrillation and cardiac fibrosis are interdependent, with each potentially accelerating the progression of the other. These pathological processes are underpinned by significant structural and functional disruptions within cardiac cells and the intercellular matrix. Fibroblasts, myofibroblasts, and intensive fibrous tissue formation within the matrix are pivotal in the development of cardiac fibrosis. A preventive strategy targeting early intervention in cardiac fibrosis shows the greatest therapeutic promise.

A possible alternative to antibacterial therapy in the treatment of acute rhinosinusitis

High incidence of acute rhinosinusitis in a population remains one of the topical issues in practical otolaryngology. Statistical data show an increasing trend towards transition of acute rhinosinusitis in patients into chronic rhinosinusitis. According to literary sources, the emergence of bacterial resistance to antibiotics is as a rule the major reason of protracted course of the disease. Unreasonable antibiotics prescription, irrational use and uncontrolled intake result in the rapid development of antibiotic resistance. In this context, the use of herbal medicines having not only antibacterial, but also mucolytic, fungicidal, antioxidant effects in the complex therapy is a modern solution for disease management. Respero Myrtol, a standardized myrtol-based medicine, has taken its rightful place in the therapy. This article is aimed to investigate the possibilities of the effective use of medicine containing standardized myrtol as its main ingredient in the treatment of acute rhinosinusitis (based on the review of literature). Research materials included scientific articles on aspects of acute rhinosinusitis in otorhinolaryngology practice that were published in domestic specialized periodicals of eLIBRARY and scientific databases Scopus, Web of Science, Medline from 2014 to 2024. The published literature was analysed using the cause-and-effect technique. A clinical example was dis-cussed. With regard to the analysis of scientific literature, a brief overview of the epidemiology, etiology, predisposing factors for the development, diagnosis and treatment of acute rhinosinusitis was provided. The article addresses relevant socio-economic issues related to acute rhinosinusitis, the problem of antibiotic resistance. The issues of improving acute rhinosinusitis treatments using a standardized myrtol medicine in complex therapy as an alternative to antibiotic therapy were brought to attention. As a result, the authors concluded that the use of Respero Myrtol contributes to the rapid relief of clinical symptoms of acute rhinosinusitis, improves the patient’s quality of life, and can be advised as an alternative to antibiotic therapy in uncomplicated course of the disease.
