Transportation activities themselves require facilities and infrastructure to be used by the community in carrying out transfer activities to their destination. Congestion is a transportation problem caused by the increasing volume of motorized vehicles without being matched by road capacity. The choice of transportation mode is a separate reason for each person and will reflect the interest of one of the modes of transportation itself. Data collection used an online questionnaire, namely via the Google form which was distributed randomly to students studying at Campus 1 Universitas PGRI Semarang. And data processing of travellers was analyzed using descriptive statistics, and vehicle modes were analyzed using a binary difference logit model with the help of multiple linear regression equations. And produce student profile data that has been obtained, that the dominant student is from the FTI faculty, the dominant one is traveling, namely semester 4. The sex is dominated by male, the dominant mode of vehicle used is motorcycle, and the dominant driver's license is SIM C. Characteristics of ability found that students travel based on the amount of pocket money, expenses or vehicle operations and considerations for traveling.

The Influence of Factors on Students' Financial Management: SEM Approach

This study aimed to identify the factors influencing student financial management in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area. The study included 206 Jakarta Metropolitan Area respondents who met the following criteria: active students at Jakarta Metropolitan Area universities aged 17 to 25 years. The study employed the SEM-PLS method as the primary analysis approach. The results indicated that several factors showed positive and negative correlations on student financial management in the Jakarta Metropolitan Area. Specifically, self-control and financial literacy, which are internal factors, influenced financial management, while allowances and good lifestyle, which are external factors, had no influence. These findings suggest that individuals tend to manage their finances effectively when equipped with a thorough understanding of financial principles and strong self-control. The results of this study offer significant practical implications for the Jakarta Metropolitan Area government in designing strategies to increase financial inclusion more effectively. This study emphasizes the importance of self-control and financial literacy as the main factors affecting financial management skills among college students, and lifestyle factors and the amount of pocket money have no significant effect. Furthermore, financial institutions can use these findings to develop better financial products to meet consumers' preferences for sound financial principles. By providing a better understanding of the factors influencing financial management, this research can contribute to more responsible, sustainable, and compliant financial management within society.

Analysis of Current Drink Consumption Behavior on Blood Sugar Levels in Adolescents

Adolescents are becoming increasingly familiar with drinks that are currently popular. Things that are “current” at a certain time are things that are trending or popular. Teenagers are increasingly consuming modern drinks for various reasons. Drinking modern beverages has raised some concerns, primarily due to their potentially excessive levels of sugar, caffeine, and calories. Numerous studies have revealed that excessive consumption of sugary drinks is associated with several health problems, including type 2 diabetes, obesity, and other problems. This research contributes to understanding current drink consumption behavior among teenagers and its impact on blood sugar levels. The research method used was quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The sample size was 182 respondents. The sampling technique is simple random sampling. Research instrument with a questionnaire. Bivariate analysis results: age with current drinking frequency 0.85 (>0.05), amount of pocket money with current drinking frequency 0.01 (<0.05), central obesity with current drinking frequency 0.78 (>0.05), transportation with current drinking frequency 0.03 (<0.05), taste and brand with current drinking frequency 0.00 (<0.05), Blood Sugar Levels with drinking frequency current drink p Value 0.47 (>0.05). Conclusions that influence current drink consumption by students: the amount of pocket money, type of transportation, interest in the taste and brand of current drinks and there is no relationship between current blood sugar levels and the frequency of drinking current drinks.

Effects of pocket money on weight status among junior high school students: A longitudinal study in China.

Overweight and obesity among adolescents has become a common public health problem, and both obesity rates and the amount of pocket money among adolescents in China are rising. We investigated to what extent the increase in pocket money could lead to weight gain of junior high school students and how this association may vary by school environment in China. Researchers utilized 3 waves of data from the China Education Panel Survey, a national longitudinal study, to investigate the likelihood of overweight and obesity. The Generalized Estimation Equation was employed to analyze the data. Three Generalized Estimation Equation models were constructed to explore the relationship between pocket money and overweight and obesity in 2 distinct food environments surrounding schools. A total of 8903 individuals (4604 boys and 4299 girls) from the China Education Panel Survey were analyzed. After adjusting for confounding factors, it was found that girls who received 20 to 49 yuan and ≥ 50 yuan per week had a higher risk of overweight and obesity compared to those who received 0 to 9 yuan per week (OR = 1.34, 95% CI: 1.07-1.69, OR = 1.53, 95% CI: 1.22-1.92). However, no significant association was observed between pocket money and overweight and obesity when food around the school was not easily accessible. The prevalence of overweight among Chinese teenagers has steadily increased from Wave1 to Wave3. Moreover, junior high school girls who receive more pocket money are at a greater risk of developing obesity and overweight issues.

The Relationship Between Fast Food Consumption, Pocket Money, And Quality Of Sleep With Over Nutrition In Adolescents

Background: Adolescents with obese nutritional status are at risk of experiencing degenerative diseases, which can reduce the quality of life of adolescents. The healthy rate of overweight and obesity is closely related to food intake and lifestyle. Consuming fast food has become a lifestyle for teenagers. This is also influenced by the amount of pocket money, making it easy for teenagers to get fast food. Another lifestyle factor that is related to obesity in adolescents is the quality of sleep. This study aims to determine the relationship between fast food consumption, pocket money, and sleep quality with the incidence of overweight in adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Telukjambe Timur Karawang. Research Methods: This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Telukjambe Karawang. The respondents were grade 10 and 11 students aged 16-18 years. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a total sample of 103 respondents. The method used is quantitative research with survey techniques utilizing a cross-sectional approach. Data analysis was performed with the chi-square test. The instruments used in this study were the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire, and the pocket money questionnaire. Research Result: Analysis of statistical test data using spearman rank. The results of the study showed that the majority of respondents aged 16 years were 74 people (71.8%), non-overnutrition were 76 people (73.8%), rarely consumed fast food as many as 59 people (57.3%), sleep quality 76 people (73.8%) have insufficient income, and 74 people (71.8%) have low pocket money. Conclusion: The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between the frequency of fast food consumption and the quality of sleep with the incidence of overweight, and there is no relationship between pocket money and the incidence of overweight and the fast food consumption habits of adolescents.

Are exposure to health information and media health literacy associated with fruit and vegetable consumption?

BackgroundHealth information promotes a healthy lifestyle; however, media health literacy (MHL) is essential to personal intake, especially fruit and vegetables (F&V). This study aimed to determine how exposure to health information and MHL affect F&V consumption among Thai youth aged 10–14 years. Health behavior at this age can be an important determinant of consumption habits when transitioning into adulthood.MethodsA stratified two-stage sample survey was conducted to recruit 1,871 youth across regions to be nationally representative. Qualtrics offline survey application was used for data collection face-to-face with all respondents. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the explanatory variables on fruit consumption and vegetable consumption.ResultsThis study found that almost 70% of Thai youth were exposed to health-related content via the Internet, and had low analytical skills to process that information. Grade Point Average (GPA), exposure to health information, various media types, frequency of exposure to health information, and MHL influenced the frequency of F&V intake. Health status related to fruit intake, age, place of residence, amount of pocket money, and body mass index (BMI) were associated with F&V consumption.ConclusionExposure to health information and MHL are associated with F&V intake. Therefore, exposure to health information and MHL should be addressed for policy formulation in Thai schools and the health system.

The Influence of Financial Literacy, Amount of Pocket Money, and Life Style on Student Consumption Behavior STKIP PGRI Nganjuk Economics Education

Purpose: Most economic education students at STKIP PGRI Nganjuk feel that the large selection of products when shopping online makes them monitor the product they will buy every day. If they don't buy the item they have seen in the online shop, there will be a feeling of regret, so they decide to buy the item even though not a need at that time. Therefore, research was conducted on financial literacy, amount of pocket money, and lifestyle on the consumption behavior of STKIP PGRI Nganjuk economics students. This study aimed to analyze the effect of financial literacy, amount of pocket money, and lifestyle on the consumption behavior of STKIP PGRI Nganjuk economics students.
 Design/methodology/approach: This study uses a quantitative approach to the explanatory method. This research was conducted in the economic education study program STKIP PGRI Nganjuk with a population of 275 students from semesters 1, 3, 5, and 7, while the sample in this study was 163 students who were calculated using the slovin formula with proportional sampling technique. The data analysis used is Multiple Linear Regression Analysis with the help of SPSS 26.
 Findings: The results of the analysis in this study show that: 1) Financial literacy affects consumer behavior, 2) The amount of pocket money affects consumer behavior, 3) Lifestyle influences consumer behavior, 4) Financial literacy, amount of pocket money, and lifestyle significantly affect the consumption behavior of STKIP PGRI Nganjuk Economic Education.
 Practical implications: The benefits of research results can be input for economic education students, further researchers, Universitas Negeri Malang campus, and the reader.

The Prevalence of Overweight Status among Early Adolescents from Private Schools in Indonesia: Sex-Specific Patterns Determined by School Urbanization Level.

(1) Background: Few studies have investigated (demographic) correlates of (prevalent) overweight rates among early adolescents, especially from higher socioeconomic positions (SEP) in developing countries, such as Indonesia. The current study aims to fill this gap. (2) Methods: Participants included 411 adolescents from five private schools in Indonesia. Adolescents’ weight and height were measured, and adolescents completed questionnaires on demographic factors (i.e., sex, school area, ethnicity, pocket money) and previous year dieting. (3) Results: Results showed that more than one-third of the sample was overweight, with higher rates among adolescent males (47%) than females (24%). Moreover, adolescents attending schools in urban areas (compared with suburban areas), and those reporting past dieting (compared with those reporting no dieting) had higher overweight rates. Ethnicity and the amount of pocket money were not related to overweight status. Finally, a clear sex-specific interaction was found involving school area, showing that males in urban areas had a significantly higher risk to be overweight, whereas this did not apply to females. (4) Conclusions: males from urban area private schools in Indonesia may be an important target group for future preventive overweight interventions.

Factors associated with food choice motives of adolescents in Yogyakarta Special District

Background: Adolescents begin to have eating autonomy which causes changes in behavior and habits related to food selection. Various factors are considered to be able to influence food choice motives. Objective: The study aimed to determine factors related to adolescents' food choice motives. Methods: A cross-sectional study involving 121 students who studied at two state Junior High schools in Yogyakarta Special District (YSD) from April to May 2020. The independent variables are gender, perception of body image, nutritional knowledge, peer influence, school location, amount of pocket money, family income, parental education, and media influence. The dependent variables are nine food choice motives. Data collection was used online questionnaires via an online form. The data were analyzed by using multiple linear regression. Results: Most respondents had health motive as their primary motive in food choice, followed by natural content, price, and ethical concern. This research also found that there was a relationship between nutritional knowledge with a natural content motive; media influence, nutritional knowledge, and amount of pocket money with ethical concern motive; parental education with price motive; perception of body image, media influence, amount of pocket money, and nutritional knowledge with weight control motive (p<0,05). Conclusions: Perception of body image, nutritional knowledge, media influence, amount of pocket money, and parental education were related to the food choice motives of adolescents. The Effect of Economic Literature and the Amount of Pocket Money on Students Consumption Behavior Through Self Control

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of economic literacy and the amount of pocket money on students consumption behavior through self-control. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The types of research data are primary data and secondary data. The population in this study was 899 students majoring in social studies and a sample of 244 students. The sample uses Arikunto's opinion with a percentage of 25%. Data collection techniques in this study were tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique in this study used SPSS 25. The results of this study show that Economic literacy and the amount of pocket money have a positive and significant effect on the self-control of students in the Social Sciences Major State Senior High School in Bagan Sinembah District. Economic Literacy and the amount of pocket money have a negative and significant effect on the consumption behavior of students in Social Sciences majoring SMA Negeri in the Bagan Sinembah. This proves that the better the economic literacy, the wiser and more rational in consumption will be and through the self-control that exists in students, especially it will help students in managing their pocket money.

Gambaran Perilaku Jajan Siswa/Siswi Kelas 6 dan Kelas 9 di Sekolah Penuai Cibubur Jatisampurna Bekasi

Background: School children are food consumers who have been active and independent in determining the food they want, both snacks at school and elsewhere. Based on the initial survey, during recess almost all students eat snacks in the canteen and the snacks chosen are mostly fried or boiled instant noodles. This of course can have an impact on the health of students. The purpose of the study was to obtain an overview of the snacking behavior of students in grade 6 and grade 9 at the Cibubur Harvest School.Methods: The research design used is a case study. The sample/informant consisted of four 6th grade elementary school students and 4 9th graders. While the key informant was 1 canteen owner. The data collection method used is semi-structured in-depth interviews and observation. The data was processed and tested for validity by using triangulation, then data analysis was carried out in the form of content analysis.Results: The results showed that students' snacking behavior was influenced by knowledge, attitudes, canteen availability, pocket money, access to information, support from friends, teachers and parents. The results of observations showed that the types of snacks chosen by grade 9 students were more varied and nutritionally balanced compared to grade 6 students.Conclusion: For parents, it is necessary to always direct their children to choose healthy snacks and limit the amount of pocket money for students because it can encourage students to snack more often.

Hubungan peer group support, uang saku dan pola konsumsi pangan dengan status gizi lebih pada remaja

The problem of overweight in adolescents is caused by multiplicity, including friendships and also the amount of pocket money which will affect the pattern of daily food consumption. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship peer group support, pocket money, and food consumption patterns with overweight. This research is observational with a cross-sectional approach. The sample was selected by 50 respondents with stratified random sampling technique, this study was conduction in 2020. Data collected by interviews for respondent characteristics, peer group support, pocket money, and food consumption patterns using the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ). Data analysis using Chi-Square Test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between peer group support and overweight (p= 0,048), There is a significant relationship between pocket money and overnutrition (p= 0,001) and there is a significant relationship between food consumption patterns with overnutrition (p= 0,000). The results of the study indicated that there was a relationship between peer group support, pocket money, and food consumption patterns with overweight. From these results, it is hoped that adolescents will be able to minimize the influence of their peers and be able to allocate pocket money to consume nutritious daily food.

Prevalence and factors related to obesity and fast food consumption among Mutah University students, Jordan.

To identify the prevalence and factors related to obesity and fast food consumption among university students. The cross-sectional study was conducted at Mutah University, Al-Karak governorate in southern Jordan, from January to April, 2019, and comprised students recruited from different faculties. Data was collected using a structured, validated questionnaire. Height and weight were measured for body mass index calculation. Data was analysed using SPSS 23. Of the 503 students, 278(55.3%) were females. The overall mean age of the sample was 21.62±2.22 years (range: 19-39 years). Fast food consumption was ≥2 times/week for 299(59.4%) students. The prevalence was significantly higher among students spending ≥21 Jordanian dinar per week (p=0.020) and those who were not performing physical exercise (p=0.025). Significant correlations were found between fast food consumption and fried potato (p<0.001), processed meat products (p<0.001), coffee (p=0.006) and candies (p=0.039). No significant relation was found between fast food consumption and body mass index, religion, gender, field of study or living away from family (p>0.05). The most common reason for consumption was shortage of time 115(38.5%); lunch time was the most preferred time 210(70.2%); 97(32.4%) students were willing to read the nutrient information; and 211(70.5%) were interested in choosing healthy meals. The prevalence of fast food consumption among university students was found to be high.

Konsumsi Air Minum Dalam Kemasan (AMDK) Pada Mahasiswa

The high consumption of bottled water contributes to environmental problems, including water waste and pollution. Environmental problems caused by plastic bottles, waste of drinking water because they are not drunk, soil pollution due to the presence of the water that cannot be decomposed. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with consumption of Bottled Drinking Water (AMDK) in students in terms of practical, health and the environment. This study is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional approach by conducting an online survey of students from a private university in the city of Yogyakarta to explore the factors associated with the consumption of bottled drinking water. Respondents (N = 156) taken randomly. The results of the study stated that students chose bottled water from the practical side not influenced by gender, study programs, the number of semesters taken, and the amount of pocket money. Consumption of bottled water for health reasons is influenced by the origin of the study program (p-value 0.041) and the number of semesters taken (p-value 0.002). The consumption of bottled water for environmental reasons is influenced by the number of semesters that have been taken (p-value 0.015) and the status of residence in Yogyakarta (p-value 0.035).

HUBUNGAN JUMLAH UANG SAKU DENGAN GAYA HIDUP HEDONIS MAHASISWA DI KOTA MADIUN

His study aims to determine the relationship between the amount of pocket money and hedonic lifestyle in the city of Madiun. The sampling technique uses probability sampling. The number of samples in this study were 355 students. Research is a quantitative research developed with causality design where data analysis techniques use simple regression analysis. The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between the amount of pocket money and the hedonic lifestyle of students taking study at Madiun City College. The effects of cigarette price and the amount of pocket money on youth smoking initiation and intensity in Canada

To investigate the price and income elasticities of adolescent smoking initiation and intensity to determine the extent to which increased pocket money leads to greater smoking among youth, and whether higher taxes can mitigate this effect. We used the 2012/2013 Canadian Youth Smoking Survey including students in grades 7-12. The multivariable logistic regression was used to examine the probability of smoking initiation, and a linear regression to examine the smoking intensity determined by province-level prices of cigarettes, pocket money, and a vector of individual characteristics, including age, sex, race, and school-related and psychosocial factors. Of respondents, 28.8% have tried cigarette smoking. More than 90% of these initiated smoking between age 9 and 17. Male smokers consumed a higher average number of whole cigarettes daily than did females. The price elasticity of smoking initiation and intensity for youth in the full sample were - 1.13 and - 1.02, respectively, which means that a 10% increase in price leads to an 11.3% reduction in initiation and a 10.2% reduction in intensity. The income elasticity of smoking initiation and intensity for youth in the full sample were 0.07 and 0.06, respectively, which means that a 10% increase in income leads to a 0.7% increase in initiation and a 0.6% increase in intensity. Economic measures such as taxation that raise the price of cigarettes may be a useful policy tool to limit smoking initiation and intensity.

The Prevalence of Thinness and Associated Risk Factors among School Going Adolescents in Juba, South Sudan

Background: Adolescence is a stage of growth characterized with intense anabolism. During this stage the body requirements for all nutrients increases. Children at this stage usually have poor feeding habits with limited nutritional awareness. Adolescents are very vulnerable to malnutrition yet for many years, their health has been neglected because they were considered to be less vulnerable to disease than the young children or the elderly. Not until the past decade that their health attracted global attention. As a result this study seeks to ascertain the prevalence of underweight and possible associated factors in the school going adolescents in Juba, South Sudan. Results: About 39.5% (25.2% grade 1, 7.6% grade 2 and 6.7% grade 3) of the participants were underweight with the majority (60.5%) within normal range of BMI. Female students were half as likely to be underweight (OR=0.46, p-value=0.00) compared to their male counterparts. In-take of greens (p-value=0.98) and meat (p-value=0.95) was not associated with underweight. Engagement in physical activity was not associated with underweight (p-value=0.26). Though not significantly associated with underweight, those that walked to school or those that used bicycles were 28% more likely to be underweight compared to those that went to school by either car or bus. Spending leisure time doing sports was not associated with being underweight (p-value=0.31). The number of meals in a day was not associated with underweight. Those that had physical activity at least twice were 15% more likely to be underweight compared to those that had it only once. This was however not significant (p-value=0.84). The amount of pocket money received by the student was not associated with underweight.

ANALISIS DISKRIMINAN BERGANDA DENGAN PEUBAH BEBAS CAMPURAN KATEGORIK DAN KONTINU PADA KLASIFIKASI INDEKS PRESTASI KUMULATIF MAHASISWA

Multiple discriminant analysis is one of the discriminant analysis techniques where the dependent variable are grouped into more than two groups. This paper discussed how to categorize Grade Point Average (GPA) of undergraduate student of Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics Diponegoro University based on categorical and continuous independent variable including gender, internet usage, time per week for learning, average score in national examination, amount of pocket money per month and the way to enter to Diponegoro University. The GPA grouping refers to the Academic Regulations of Diponegoro University i.e. satisfactory GPA (2,00 to 2,75), very satisfactory (2,76 to 3,50) and with honors (cum laude) (3,51 to 4,00). By using the multiple discriminant analysis with mixture variables, the accuration of classification based on training and testing data reach to 71,875% and 41,667% respectively.

Cultural Differences in Opportunity Cost Consideration.

Two studies were conducted to investigate cultural differences in opportunity cost consideration between Chinese and Euro-Canadians. Opportunity cost is defined as the cost of a benefit that must be forgone in order to pursue a better alternative (Becker et al., 1974). In both studies, participants read about hypothetical purchase scenarios, and then decided whether they would buy a certain product. Opportunity cost consideration was measured in two ways: (1) participants' thoughts pertaining to other (nonfocal) products while making decisions; (2) participants' decisions not to buy a focal product (Study 1) or a more expensive product (Study 2). Across both indexes, we found that after controlling for individual difference variables and amount of pocket money, Chinese participants in China considered financial opportunity cost more than Euro-Canadians in Study 1. Similar results were observed in Study 2 when comparing Chinese in Canada with Euro-Canadians However, the cultural effect on opportunity cost consideration was confounded by family income in Study 2. Implications for resource management, limitations of the current research and directions for future research are discussed.

JUMLAH UANG SAKU DAN KEBIASAAN MELEWATKAN SARAPAN BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN STATUS GIZI LEBIH ANAK SEKOLAH DASAR

The prevalence of overnutrition in Indonesia is increasing from year to year. Overnutrition occurs because of an imbalance between consumed and expended energy. Overnutrition needs a serious attention because it deals with a variety of health problem complications in adult, such as diabetes and heart disease. This research aims to analyze the association between the amount of pocket money and breakfast habit with overnutrition status in elementary school children. Analytical observational research with cross sectional design was conducted in SDN Ploso I-172 Tambaksari Surabaya. The sample size was 52, which was taken by using simple random sampling technique in 4th and 5th grade students. Association among variables were analyzed using Chi-Square test. The result showed that 32.7% of respondents skip breakfast. The mean of respondent’s pocket money was IDR 5.894,23 ± 3.215,06. Majority of respondents were obese (34.6%) and overweight (28.8%). Chi-Square test showed there was an association between the amount of pocket money (p=0.000) and breakfast habits (p=0.005) with overnutrition status. It can be concluded that the amount of pocket money and breakfast skipping habit contribute to overnutrition status in elementary school children. Parents are responsible for providing foods with adequate nutrition for children, habituate children to have breakfast at home, and provide pocket money to children with amount less than IDR 5.894,23 ± 3.215,06.Keywords: breakfast, overnutrition status, pocket money
