Comprehensive environmental assessment of innovative humic agro product

There has been made the assessment of the product «CAVITA BIOCOMPLEX» quality parameters, manufactured according to the innovative technology of ultrasonic cavitation processing of peat in water medium at high static pressure. To carry out this assessment it has been used the universal system of procedure of comprehensive assessment of humic products. This system is based on the level approach. It was found that the sample of agro product in the capacity of the main bioactive components contains fulvic and humic acids (47.2-64.0% calculated at dry weight basis). It is chemically and biologically safe for the environment. The usage of high-quality natural raw materials in combination with the “green” technology of “CAVITA BIOCOMPLEX” production makes it possible to use it not only as additional application with any mineral or organic fertilizers, plant protection products, herbicides, but also as basic fertilizer for biological agricultural technologies.

DASHBOARD INFORMATION SYSTEM OF PEMINJAMAN UANG (PINANG) APPLICATION

Pinang is a digital application-based BRI Agro product that runs on the Android operating system, wherewith this application customers can apply for loans without collateral digitally, anywhere, and anytime. Of course, we need a system that can help the process of managing data from Pinang customers, starting from adding company cooperation with the Pinang application to maintaining and monitoring the system. So a Pinang dashboard information system is needed that can assist in the operation of the Pinang application that is capable of managing data, monitoring, and maintenance if there are problems in the Pinang application borrowing process. The Pinang dashboard can make it easier to manage, monitor, and provide information related to the Pinang application, including customer status, whitelist, repayment, disbursement, outstanding, ID card approval, and report withdrawal. The areca dashboard is built using the waterfall method, this method in its design uses UML diagrams, use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, class diagrams, and entity-relationship diagrams (ERD). The implementation of making Pinang dashboards uses the Golang programming language, Node Js, React Js, keycloak, and the PostgreSQL database. With the Pinang Dashboard, it is hoped that it can facilitate the operational team in maintaining the Pinang application and building a system that can manage, monitor, and provide information related to the Pinang application.

Vapour absorption refrigeration system for rural cold storage: a comparative study.

Value addition of agro products improves the livelihood opportunities for rural farmers. Cold Storage is one of the techniques to improve the shelf life of agro product. With the increase in the utilization of refrigeration and air cooling using vapour compression refrigeration technology, global warming and ozone depletion due to the refrigerants have also been increased. So, to overcome this problem, several restrictions were placed on the refrigerant by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). There is no way to slow down the growth of this technology, so the focus should be shown on finding an alternative. Various studies have been carried out on an alternate refrigeration system. This paper attempts to study the power quality challenges in the conventional vapour compression system. A comparative analysis of vapour compression refrigeration (VCR) and vapour absorption refrigeration (VAR), power factor analysis and temperature measurement on both technologies has also been carried out and reported.

COMPETITIVENESS OF EXPORT AGRO PRODUCTS AND ECONOMIC POLICY FOR INCREASINGTHE COMPETITIVENESS

Agriculture plays a major role in ensuring the country›s food security, improving the balance of payments and strengthening state independence. Increasing the production of agricultural products increases the national income of the country, creates additional jobs and more. Competitive export production should play a major role in boosting agricultural production, as it has to be competitive in the international markets.The article analyzes the competitiveness of Georgian export agro products and the export-import of agro products. It should be noted that imports of primary agricultural products over the years have significantly outstripped exports, mainly due to the low volume of production of these products and the weak competitiveness of the sector relative to foreign producers. Competitiveness should be enhanced not by imposing barriers on imports, but by enhancing the competitiveness of locally produced products. That is why has been studied the main directions of economic policy for increasing the competitiveness by the example of Israel. Israel uses the theory and principles of knowledge-based economics to increase the innovation potential of the economy and enhance its competitiveness in general. In this study export agro products are identified by the following parameters: tendencies in export, stock reserves at the end of the year, resources, local production, average yield and self-provision coefficients. Thus, we assessed the competitiveness of corn/wine, nuts, potatoes, vegetables, wheat. Competitiveness level is calculated for selected Georgian agro products based on the received FAO data. The level of competitiveness of agro-food products was compared with each other on two markets: The European Union market (EU market) and the Commonwealth of Independent States market (CIS market). The product›s competitiveness level is calculated using the following indexes: Relative Export Advantage Index (RXA), Relative Import Penetration Index (RMP) and Relative Trade Advantage Index (RTA).The paper concludes that a high level of competitiveness in the international trade from Georgian agro products has nuts and wine. In addition, it is interesting that on CIS markets Georgian agro-food products have higher competitiveness than on the EU market. Also, on CIS markets competitive are potatoes and vegetables. Data analysis has shown that Georgian wine has far higher competitiveness on the CIS market than on the EU market. In recent years, the volume of Georgian wine exports to Russia has increased, which has been reflected in competitiveness indices. Consequently, the competitiveness of Georgian wine is increasing in the CIS market, while maintaining relative stability in the EU market. Also, Georgian nuts has far higher competitiveness on the EU market than on the CIS market. Conclusions are made according to the identified problems and the recommendations are offered on the directions of economic policies for increasing the competitiveness of agro-food products. It is important to identify agro-food products on the threshold of competitiveness in international trade in order to concentrate further resources and efforts on them, which will increase export volumes in the future. It is advisable to create a stable regulatory environment and increase the awareness of the Georgian agro-food product in international level.

SHORT-RUN CONTRACTS ON EUROPEAN UNION MARKET AND GOOD FAITH PRINCIPLE IN THE REALITY OF GEORGIAN ECONOMY

How are transactions conducted on Georgian consumption market and the European Union internal market? During exportation of some agro products from Georgia to the EU it was found out that relevant trade habits in making a deal varies greatly for the ‘two Economies’ and the difference is significant. Apparently, this makes an issue for present-day commerce and, presumably, the disparities, which have just been noted, risk to pose a serious threat to trade relationships between the two economic Units. Therefore, this Article aims at looking around the differences. I will attempt to explain the flexibility of the contemporary ‘simplified-type transactions’ conducted in the EU, characterized by disappearance of traditional formal stages of contracting (negotiations, contract-signing, etc.). ВИКОРИСТАННЯ СПРОЩЕНОЇ СИСТЕМИ ОПОДАТКУВАННЯ АГРОВИРОБНИКАМИ

It is examined the influence of the simplified taxation system on stimulation of home agro business development. The aim of the article is research of the existent taxation system of agro producers and optimization of the tax pressure on the payers of the united tax. Methodological basis of research became the modern theories of taxation and finances in the conditions of global calls, climatic risks and necessities of home and foreign consumers. In undertaken studies the used methods of dialectics, methods and principles of scientific cognition and instruments of analysis the systems for the exposure of influence the simplified system of taxation on activity of agro producers. The basic hypothesis of research became supposition that optimization of the tax loading on agro producers must take a place with a selection of volumes of possessing agricultural resources, prepared products and level of the got profits. Exposition of basic material. It is educed that development and total revenue of agro industrial enterprises depend from the level of taxation of their activity, but sum prepaid tax by the agrarian enterprises does not depend from the got profits and does not answer principles of regulative function of taxes. Originality and practical meaningfulness of research are confirmed by the ground analysis of agro producer’s activity, which work for the simplified system of taxation. An proposed differentiation the united tax payers of 4-th group has the applied value, and similar approach can be used for determination of rates the other groups of the simplified system of taxation. Conclusions and prospects of further researches. An offer groupie of agro producers, which work for the simplified system of taxation, will allow bringing down the tax pressure, stimulating further development of agrarian business in the direction of accordance the European standards of agro products quality. Further researches will be sent to the improvement of the simplified system of taxation of stimulation and development of complete cycle of agribusiness beginning from growing of products, processing and, ending, by an eventual consumption is not only food industry, but other industries of national economy, like light industry, green energy and tourism.

A Study on Effectiveness of FDI on Unorganised Retail Sector of India

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plays a very vital role in economic development for any developing and under-developing nation, the largest democracy, and the second-largest populated country in the world is facing a tremendous challenge to fight against inflation and unemployment. FDI can provide the life-blood to the Indian economy. Though late the UPA-II Government, headed by Dr. Manmohan Singh, has decided the d on November-2012, in respect of proposals involving FDI beyond 52 percent, it is mandatory to source 30 percent of the value of the goods purchased from India, preferably MSMEs. Making India is the most open economy in the world, Modi Government announced its second major reform in FDI soon after its deep-seated changes. The Government, since the beginning, has been taken steps to boost FDI in the country to create a different climate so that foreign investors feel confident in investing. Putting an end to the long-standing discussion on the Processing of e-commerce in India, Government permitted 100 percent FDI in the market place format e-commerce retailing and also come up with the definition of a marketplace and inventoryled models of e-commerce. All these factors are dwindling purchasing from unorganized retail shops. PENGEMBANGAN APLIKASI ANDROID UNTUK E-COMMERCE PRODUK AGRO DENGAN DATABASE MYSQL DALAM RANGKA MEMPERKUAT KETAHANAN PANGAN DI PROVINSI BANTEN

Android application is designed for agro product E-Commerce that utilize the MySQL database. This application aims to help the Banten Provincial Government to realize the target of corn self-sufficiency in Banten by connecting farmers directly with their consumers. Java, XML, and PHP are used to develop this application. The E-Commerce adheres to the type of C2C system where third party accounts are employed in the transaction. It has a multi-level user system where anyone can register as a seller, buyer, or transportation service. Sellers and transportation services can directly promote their goods in this system. After clicking the button on the application, the Buyers can immediately make transactions quickly, safely, and comfortably. BlackBox and compatibility testing were carried out and produced 100% success. It is indicated that our application is suitable for the digital corn trade management system in Banten to strengthen food security.

Agricultural Product Price Forecasting using ARIMA Model

The study consider the comparison of actual market price of green gram and the forecasted price of green gram to identify how close the forecasting tools help to identify the market price of agro product in future. This analysis will help to identify the expected fluctuation from the expected price and actual price of a commodity that will support the farmers and middle to decide the price of a particular commodity. In this study the green gram price of Odisha (India) is taken into consideration for analysis. The study will also explore the best method to identify the future market price. For the analysis weekly price of the product is considered and seasonal ARIMA (1, 1, 1) (1, 0, 1), S=4 model is used as it was found to be the best model for forecasting. It is expected that this analysis will benefit the farmers in deciding the price of the products and support in rescheduling their crop as per the price movement in future.

MARKETS OF GEORGIAN AGRO-FOOD PRODUCTS AND EXPORT STIMULATING ECONOMIC POLICY

The article substantiates the importance of the development of food markets in the solution of food security problem. It is argued that the tendency of demand for food has an increasing trend and the development of food markets still remains one of the most important challenges of contemporary world. The study analyzes the markets of Georgian agro- food products and studies the modern challenges in these markets. Comparative analysis of Georgian and Spanish food markets is conducted. The article estimates the positive and negative trends of export of Georgian agro-food products as well as the possibilities of diversification of products in the food markets. According to “The Impact-Immediacy” matrix the hindering factors of Georgian agro products export are identified. Using the «Priority Scheme» the priorities of economic policy stimulating the export of agro-food products are revealed. In terms of geographical orientation of the export the possibilities of diversification of food markets are discussed, especially in European markets. The conclusion is made that, in general, European food market is characterized by the growing tendency. However, in these markets there is no similar tendency for Georgian agro-food products. According to the study of the share of Georgian products and export growth rates in different countries the positive correlation between these variables is determined. But this circumstance is not considered to be sufficient for the positive impact on the economic growth. The conclusion is made that using effective mechanisms of export stimulation allows the diversification of export of Georgian agro products on the traditional but growing food markets on the one hand and on the other hand the expansion of geographical area of export markets.

Rural Subsidizes and Revealing Moral Hazards

Purpose: At the end of the year 2013, the Greek Government to encourage the establishment of new enterprises in the agrifood sector announced the application of the program “New Farmers Installation within the financial framework of CAP”. As a consequence, almost 8.000 young people benefited from this program as they received subsidizes up to 20.000€ to establish a new agro enterprise. This work focuses on the examination of the results concerning those new entrants’ enhancing of production of agro-products. Moral hazards have been created as some of them take advantage of the inefficacy of the program’s control procedures and they contribute almost nothing to the final agro product. Design/methodology/approach: The paper is divided to into 2 parts. The literature of the theoretical perspective of the Greek economy is extensive. Taking under mind that Greece is a part of the European Union on the theoretical part are examined CAP’s subsidizes consequences on Greek Agriculture. Then the “New farmers’ installation” program is briefly presented. The theoretical part ends with references to moral hazards creation and corruption in Greece. In the second part, the empirical results presented. The research took place during September 2016 using a formalized questionnaire. The statistical analysis included the estimation of frequencies, percentages, and means, as well as coefficient correlations. Finding: According to the findings, it has been supported that financial programs directed to agriculture should be monitored for disbursement. Otherwise, these programs cannot achieve their targets such as the increase of in productivity in the agricultural sector. Moreover, the results of the study are similar to previous researches as Moral Hazards have been created. Research limitations/implications: Taking for granted that the lack of strict controls over the disbursement contributed to the increase in moral hazards, it is proposed that providing subsidies should be accompanied with disbursements only after strict controls. It is also suggested a combination as providing subsidies should only take place on the grants that the amount spent exclusively for rural enterprise liabilities. Originality/value: This paper provides the impetus for the study of moral hazard on rural subsidizes and constitutes primary research.

They are interested in visiting Palaga because a unique village tourist attraction, views of gardens and farmland, natural beauty, the beauty of the park, cultural friendly and environmentally friendly tourist attractions, public facilities, telecommunications, restaurants and centers the agro product market, the people who are friendly to tourist arrivals, easy to reach locations, the availability of transportation to the location, and the proximity to the city center. Dominant tourists willing to revisit Pelaga significantly influenced by the unique village tourist attraction, views of the expanse of gardens or farmland, natural beauty, the beauty of the park, and the ease of reaching the Pelaga location from their residence.Keywords: agrotourism, forest conservation, uniqueness, nature, tourists.

Design of Thermal Storage using Phase Change Material (PCM) for Agro Products Preservation

Storage and preservation of agro products are receiving significance to reduce the wastage of agricultural commodities and demand of low cost and less energy intensive sustainable methods. An efficient technique is proposed to preserve farm fresh vegetables through Phase Change Materials (PCM), with lesser electrical energy consumption. In this proposed work, atmospheric air is inducted in to chamber where it is cooled by sensible cooling by passing it through PCM. The PCM changes its phase by absorbing latent heat from the outdoor hot air.. The alternate melting and freezing cycles of typical PCM is exploited for cooling the air which is further circulated into cold storage cabinet. In order to achieve the desired cold storage cabinet temperature and humidity, the amount of air circulated and mass of PCM required is estimated through cooling load and heating load calculations. Based on these load estimates, an appropriate size of equipment’s such as fan, storage cabinet, PCM chamber and heat pipes are designed. Further, performance of the cold storage may be improved by enhancing thermal conductivity of PCM and design improvement of cold storage by the various improvements.

A mathematical optimisation model for analysis of minimal cropland expansion in agro value chains

Increasing population, accelerated urbanisation and rise in income generation have led to the increased concern on sustainable production and consumption of food. This has put severe stress on farmers and plantation owners to rapid expansion of crop lands and plantations to meet the demand. However, the expansion has resulted in large scale unplanned deforestation. The proposed work presents a Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) model to strategies for minimal crop land and plantation expansion based on the predicted future demand of agro-products. The proposed model is based on the concept which used previously to strategies operation of utility systems. In this work, the proposed model is used to determine the minimal lands for expansion (if required) when there is an increased demand. However, if the demand of the agro-product is projected to decrease, then the model identifies the optimised excess existing crop land(s) or plantation(s) that can be removed from the value chain. Based on the optimised result, the cost involved in expansion (i.e., deforestation and planting costs, etc.) and the transport cost can be determined. The selection of truck capacity for the optimised logistics of the agro products from the cropland to the processing facility can also be determined. By minimising the total cost (expansion cost and transport cost), the area of expansion and transportation distance can be minimised to meet the increased demand requirement, thereby resulting in lesser environmental impact. Note that, the model provides strategic optimisation for expansion of croplands and tactical optimisation for the logistics between crop lands and processing facility. A palm oil value chain is solved in this work to illustrate the proposed model. Five different scenarios with increasing and decreasing palm oil demands were solved and their respective results are discussed. The scenarios analyse the expansion in different types of lands — grasslands, tropical forests and peat forests. It is noted that the model selected grasslands over the other land types due to their least expansion cost and Land Use Change (LUC) tax rates; showing that the proposed approach promotes sustainability through cost. At higher palm oil demands scenario, apart from grasslands, tropical or peat forest lands are also seletected for expansion. Sensitivity analysis of increasing palm oil demand on expansion cost and LUC tax rates on total cost is also presented.

Traceability implementation based on RFID at agro-industry: A review

Information system technology in the agroindustries sector has been developed. One of these is system of traceability based on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). Before RFID developed identification information of agro-products using a barcode system. Currently RFID implementation in the agro-industry sector to identify product information safety quality tracking and control of the environment is still very limited. In fact RFID implementation petrified decision makers to make a quick decision to directly monitor the movement of agro products through the data or interface with a computer program. This review discusses the development of RFID system in agro-industry. The implementation of RFID for product safety and quality. To implement RFID technology for tracking. The ability of RFID sensor to control the environment around the product. Testing the accuracy of RFID system in the agro-industry. Output application of RFID in the agro-industry is the identification data and a better selection of products to meet the standards and minimize elimination and return of products in global trade.

Simultaneous Lateral Flow Immunoassay for Multi-Class Chemical Contaminants in Maize and Peanut with One-Stop Sample Preparation.

Multi-class chemical contaminants, such as pesticides and mycotoxins, are recognized as the major risk factors in agro products. It is thus necessary to develop rapid and simple sensing methods to fulfill the on-site monitoring of multi-class chemical contaminants with different physicochemical properties. Herein, a lateral flow immunoassay via time-resolved fluorescence was developed for the rapid, on-site, simultaneous, and quantitative sensing aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), zearalenone (ZEA), and chlorothalonil (CTN) in maize and peanut. The sample preparation was optimized to a single step, combining the grinding and extraction. Under optimal conditions, the sensing method lowered the limits of detection (LOD) to 0.16, 0.52, and 1.21 µg/kg in maize and 0.18, 0.57, and 1.47 µg/kg in peanut with an analytical range of 0.48–20, 1.56–200, and 3.63–300 µg/kg for AFB1, ZEA and CTN, respectively. The protocol could be completed within 15 min, including sample preparation and lateral flow immunoassay. The recovery range was 83.24–110.80%. An excellent correlation was observed between this approach and high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS/MS) for mycotoxins and gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) for pesticide in maize and peanut. This work could be applied in on-site multi-class sensing for food safety.

Consumer Acceptance of Household Articles Developed through Recycled Agro textiles

The textile technology has widened its purpose of safeguarding the agricultural products by offering various textile materials that find application in various areas like agriculture, horticulture, fishery, etc. Agro textiles are the textile materials used to protect, gather and store agro products. Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology has different farms where a variety of crops are grown for research, instructional and commercial purposes. These agricultural farms utilized a variety of agro textile materials to enhance the productivity of agro products. The major problem arose when the agro textile materials add up to the solid waste production after their intended use. Hence, the present study was an attempt to explore the application of used agro textile materials in household value added products using the approach of sustainability through reuse, reduce and recycling of used materials. The used textile materials were collected from various agricultural farms. Four value added products were developed by the used materials collected from the farms namely, hanging basket, lampshade, coaster and wind chime. The purpose of the study was to assess the consumer acceptability of the developed products among the rural people. The products focused in awareness generation regarding the product development from waste materials through the aspects of sustainability and were greatly accepted by the people.

KRITERIA PENGEMBANGAN DESA PELAGA SEBAGAI DESTINASI AGROPARK DI KABUPATEN BADUNG

Pelaga Village in the Badung Regency Spatial Plan for 2013-2033 and the Tourism Development Master Plan for 2017-2025 is directed as an agro-tourism and ecotourism destination. This village has local resources for support agro-tourism development. But the fact is not utilized the potential optimally. The Agropark concept offered in this study is expected to be an agro-tourism management model that provides benefits to all parties involved. This study aims to map ping aspects of Agropark development and determine the criteria for developing Pelaga village as an Agropark destination in Badung Regency. The development criteria obtained in this study consisted of ten aspects, including: aspects of attraction, types of agricultural commodities, facilities, cooperation, attitudes and friendliness of the people, transportation and accessibility, infrastructure, disaster resilience, agro products, and other tourism objects. Supply Chain Management of Indian Agriculture Industry: An Exploratory Study

Indian Agriculture/Agro Industry (IAI) is an integral part of Indian society and economy. Approximately half of the total population relies on this industry as a principle source of income and it contributes around 14% of India’s GDP. Indian food business has increased to US$ 250 billion in 2015 as compared to US$ 220 billion in the year 2009 and expected to grow further rapidly in the next ten years. Indian Agriculture is a world leader in terms of production of many product categories As a result, on one hand engagement of huge population, rising demand, farm mechanization, increase in global markets, etc., offer huge potential for this industry. On the other hand, it faces many severe problems. Producers of agro products are getting merely 30–35 per cent of the market price in most of the cases due to lack of supply chain practices. Annual wastages of agricultural output are also very high which in monetary term sums up to around Rs 90,000 Crore. This wastage is mainly due to inadequate supply chain infrastructure. The objective of this paper is to highlight the present scenario of Indian Agricultural Industry in terms of prospects and explores various supply chain related issues of this industry.

Evironmental evaluation of the middle São Francisco River basin between Três Marias and Pirapora, using chemical and geophysical investigation in sediment profiles from selected marginal lagoons

The industrial, farming and housing occupation of the upper to middle San Francisco basin is getting stronger, resulting in an increase of the environmental impact. Marginal lagoons, which are important support for wildlife and water supply are invaded during the flooding of the river and filled with material. The aim of this study was to characterize the particle size distribution, chemical and mineral development shown in the profiles of these marginal lagoons and correlate with the environmental evolution and impacts. Granulometric and geophysical studies were carried out using combined sieves, GPR, total chemical analysis by FRX and sequential leaching analyses by ICP-OES. The granulometric and mineralogical results showed a predominance of silt, alternating with sandy layers, indicating the annual and seasonal energy evolution and depositional source. Investigations with GPR show horizontal sets formed by the change of energy deposition. Selected elements (Ni, Zn, Co, As, Pb, Cu) showed a continue enrichment with higher concentration on the surface. All elements concentrations are related to the clay/silt fraction, thus allowing the use of this fraction for the investigation of the impact assessment. Cromium is related to sandy layers indicating its correlation with the mineral content. The positive correlation between Ni, Zn and Pb indicate industrial influence (refinement of Zn, heavy industry) the correlation Cu, Ni, Co and As may derive from the use of agro products. The elements Pb, Zn and Cu presented at the top of the profiles concentrations above legislation limits.
