The dental aspect of esthetics

Esthetics is relative as it is evaluated from various perspectives and under different conditions. The dentist may be able to assist the surgeon in attaining a more satisfactory result for a patient undergoing corrective or reconstructive procedures. However, factors inherent in the dental environment and techniques may exert a limiting influence upon the degree of esthetics gained. Therefore, a team approach to the problem produces the best result.
