Ozet Bu arastirmanin amaci, sosyal bilgiler egitimi anabilim dallarinda ogrenim goren ogrencilerin anabilim dallarindaki ana dersleri olusturan tarih, cografya ve egitim bilimleri derslerine, derslerde kullanilan ogretim yontem ve tekniklerine, sosyal ve kulturel etkinliklere, psikolojik danismanlik ve rehberlik hizmetlerine ve temel dusunme becerilerinin gelisimine iliskin algilarini incelemektir. Tarama modelinde nicel arastirma yonteminin kullanildigi arastirmanin orneklemini alti universitede (Adnan Menderes Universitesi, Afyon Kocatepe Universitesi, Balikesir Universitesi, Dokuz Eylul Universitesi, Pamukkale Universitesi ve Usak Universitesi) sosyal bilgiler egitimi anabilim dali dorduncu siniflarinda ogrenim goren 415 ogrenci olusturmaktadir. Arastirmanin verileri “Sosyal Bilgiler Egitimi Ders ve Uygulamalari Olcegi” ile toplanmistir. Veri analizi icin aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapma hesaplanmis, t testi ve tek yonlu varyans analizi yapilmistir. Arastirmanin sonuclarina gore, ogrencilerin en yuksek algi puani tarih derslerinin etkiligine, en dusuk algi puani psikolojik danismanlik ve rehberlik hizmetlerine iliskindir. Ayrica ogretmen adaylarinin algilari arasinda cinsiyetlerine, anne-baba egitim durumuna, universiteden once yasadiklari yere ve mezun olduklari lise turune gore anlamli bir farklilik bulunamamistir. Buna gore sosyal bilgiler egitimi anabilim dallarinda derslerin ve islenis bicimlerinin, ders disi etkinliklerin, psikolojik danisma ve rehberlik hizmetleri ve de ogrencilerin dusunme becerilerinin gelistirilmesinin gozden gecirilmesi, detayli arastirilmasi ve gerekli tedbirlerin alinmasi onem arz etmektedir. Anahtar Sozcukler: Sosyal bilgiler egitimi, ogretim yontem ve teknikleri, dusunme becerileri, rehberlik ve psikolojik danisma hizmetleri Extended Abstract Purpose: The aim of this study examined to perceives of the students who are studying in social studies education departments related to the knowledge and skills from the history, geography and education sciences courses, the teaching methods and techniques used in courses, the social and cultural activities, the services for psychological counseling and guidance and the improving of the basic thinking skills. Method: A descriptive survey model was used in the study and the data were collected via the quantitative data collection technique. Research in six universities (Adnan Menderes, Afyon Kocatepe, Balikesir, Dokuz Eylul, Pamukkale and Usak Universities), department of social studies education classes, which is the fourth conducted with 415 students. The data were collected with a survey called “Social Studies Education Programs and Teaching Process Questionnaire”. For the data analysis, arithmetic mean and standard deviation were calculated and t-test and analysis of variance was used. Findings: According to research results, while the teacher candidates perceived the highest on history courses outcomes, they perceived the lowest on the services for psychological counseling and guidance. In addition, there is no a significant differences between teacher candidates’ perceptions concerning their gender, parents’ education level, living place before the university, the type of the high school that they were graduated. As these, in social studies education departments, the courses, their teaching forms- the teaching methods and techniques used in courses, the social and cultural activities, the services for psychological counseling and guidance and the improving of the basic thinking skills are reviewed, investigated and the deficiencies should be corrected. Conclusion: According to the survey, most of the students score higher perception of history lessons to courses for the highest score in anticipation of events was to develop thinking skills. It was found to be a positive relationship between perception and expectation scores. Also the difference between perception and expectation of high- emergence, the students' expectations were not met.
