Pengaruh Minat Belajar Terhadap Kesulitan Belajar Mahasiswa Pada Mata Kuliah Pengantar Akuntansi Prodi Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran

In the learning process, many students experience learning difficulties. The problem of learning difficulties often faced by students needs to be understood as something important to get serious attention by educators. It is important for students to foster interest in learning. Interest in learning is important for individuals in achieving their goals. Interest in learning can increase learning awareness, focus, and self-confidence. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between learning interest and learning difficulties in the introductory accounting course of Office Administration Education Study Program students. The sample in this study were some students of the Office Administration Education Study Program class of 2022 as many as 30 students. This study uses quantitative methods and questionnaire instruments with data analysis methods using the coefficient of determination test and multiple linear regression tests. The results of this study indicate that there is no effect of learning interest on student learning difficulties in introductory accounting courses. After calculating using SPSS, it was found that Fhitung = 0.213 ≤ Ftabel = 4.20. From the research, it was found that the learning interest variable had an effect of 0.8% on changes in the dependent variable, namely learning difficulties. While the remaining 99% is influenced by other variables.

Comparative Analysis of Challenges in Educational Management in Public and Private Secondary Level

Principals set a great example for their mentees by sharing their knowledge and experience in the classroom. It is also known that head teachers in Pakistan face a lot of educational and teaching problems when they first start working at their schools. Problems with discipline, not having enough classroom space, overcrowding, and ineffective educational policies and programs are all brought up in this study. So are psychological issues caused by the difference between ideals and reality, not having enough professional skills and training, and not knowing enough about the subject. This study is about the management problems that high school leaders have to deal with. The study looked at leaders of both public and private schools that have teachers. The point of this study was to look at both state and private schools in the Bahawalnagar areas. One hundred and sixteen head teachers filled out a self-structured form. The study used a sampling method with more than one step. The results show that private school principals depend on outside help to run their schools well. They think that district administrative officials give them important advice on financial and administrative issues.

This research examines the influence of accounting understanding, information technology utilization, and information system user capability on the quality of accounting information. This research includes quantitative research. The population in this research is all regional apparatus in the Medan City Government, which consists of 27 regional apparatus. The sample was determined using census research. The total sample in this study was 108 respondents, composed of staff of financial administration officials, treasurers, program preparers, and heads of agencies at the Medan City Government. The sample obtained after distributing the questionnaire was 68 respondents. This research uses primary data by distributing questionnaires via Google Forms. The influence test of independent variables toward dependent variables employs a multiple linear regression model. The research results show that accounting understanding, information technology utilization, and information system user capability influence the quality of accounting information. The results also show that understanding accounting, information technology utilization, and information system user capability influence the quality of accounting information partially.

Transforming Emergency Education to Accredited School: A Case Study of SMAN 4 Takari

The persistent issue of low education quality in Indonesia has long been a significant challenge. SMAN 4 Takari, originally a filial class of SMAN 2 Takari, officially became independent on July 5, 2021. The primary challenges include inadequate infrastructure and lack of accreditation, impacting the quality of education received by students. This community service activity aims to improve the quality of education at SMAN 4 Takari by enhancing infrastructure, preparing for accreditation, and increasing community and stakeholder involvement. The project employs a descriptive qualitative approach using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, surveys, and documentation. The process includes initial preparation through the formation of an accreditation committee, task allocation, document collection, infrastructure development, and the accreditation process. The project led to significant improvements in the school's infrastructure, such as the construction of the student council room, health unit room, counseling room, and administrative office. All necessary documents for accreditation were prepared and uploaded to the DIA application in SisPenA. The school successfully obtained accreditation with a score of 79 and a "satisfactory" rating. Additionally, there was an increase in student enrollment from 88 in 2021 to 120 in 2023, reflecting increased community trust in the school. The community service activity has positively impacted SMAN 4 Takari by improving infrastructure, preparing for accreditation, and fostering community collaboration. These improvements have enhanced the quality of education and increased stakeholder confidence. Future efforts should focus on sustainable infrastructure development and continued community engagement to maintain and further improve education quality.

Analisis Kebutuhan Pelatihan Manajemen Persuratan Bagi Tenaga Administrasi

This research examines the need for correspondence management training for administrative staff through a literature review from various related literature sources. Correspondence management is an important activity in office administration, but often does not receive adequate attention. This can cause problems such as mail flow jams, loss of important documents, and slow administration processes. To overcome this problem, appropriate training is needed for administrative staff so that they can manage correspondence effectively and efficiently. Through searching various journals, books and other literary sources, information was obtained about the importance of correspondence management, the obstacles faced by administrative staff, as well as best practices in managing correspondence. From the literature review, relevant training needs for administrative staff were identified, such as digital archiving, handling confidential letters, and the use of information technology-based correspondence management information systems. The results of this literature research provide a comprehensive picture of the needs for correspondence management training for administrative staff. These findings are the basis for designing training programs that suit the real needs of administrative staff, so that they can optimize correspondence management and support the smooth running of administrative processes in the organization.

Analysis of The Impact and Dynamics of Gratification In The Practice of State Administrative Law

The practice of gratification, which involves receiving rewards or gifts by state administrative officials, can undermine the foundations of good governance principles. The implications of gratification practices can damage the government's image, reduce public trust, and affect the effectiveness of public policy. This phenomenon creates challenges in various aspects, including public ethics, public trust, and the effectiveness of legal institutions. Apart from that, the dynamics of gratification can also penetrate the administrative decision-making process. Objective considerations in decision making can be disturbed by the influence of gratification, resulting in policies that are not in line with the public interest. This opens up gaps in inequality in public services and inefficient use of public resources. The high complexity of this problem requires an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of gratification in the practice of State Administrative Law. Especially solutions to overcome the problems of awareness and ethics of state administration administrators, internal and external supervision of perpetrators of gratification, environmental conditions of work organizations and active participation from various stakeholders to prevent and eradicate can involve various parties, especially law enforcement officials, the media and the public to proactively reveal , urge and report behavior that leads to gratification. This article explores the phenomenon of gratification in the context of state administrative law practice. Through in-depth analysis, we explain the dynamics behind gratification, its impact on the effectiveness of the state's administrative legal system, and efforts that can be made to overcome this problem. Our research concludes that a deep understanding of gratification is critical to enhancing the integrity and credibility of the country's administrative legal system.

The Influence of Self-Concept and Work Competence on Work Readiness of Office Administration Students

This research aimed to determine and investigate the magnitude of the influence of self-concept and work competency on the work readiness of vocational students class of 2019, UNY Office Administration study program. This research employed the quantitative approach with a correlational type of research. The population in this study included vocational students from the class of 2019 of Office Administration study program at UNY, and the sample was taken from 80 students. The data were collected by means of a questionnaire. Then, data analysis techniques are carried out by describing research data, testing prerequisites for analysis, and analysing data in order to answer research questions. The results of the study found that (1) there is a positive and significant influence of self-concept on work readiness (14.3%) (2) there is a positive and significant influence of work competency on work readiness, (10.3%), and (3) there is a positive and significant influence of self-concept and work competency simultaneously on work readiness (24.6%), which means that self-concept and work competence are predictors of work readiness.

The marriage registration process is one of the important stages in validating a marriage legally. This process often requires complex efforts, takes time and costs significant money, especially for couples who come from areas far from population administration offices or religious courts. To overcome this challenge, the Pasuruan City Government has introduced an innovative Double Road service. This service allows couples to register their marriage as well as change their marital status on their Family Card and Electronic KTP documents. This second road innovation has the impact of improving population administration services regarding changes in marital status on Family Cards and Electronic KTPs. This research aims to describe the problems that arise in the Innovation program and the efforts made to overcome the problems that arise in the Dual Road Innovation program in Pasuruan City. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with primary and secondary data sources. Primary data was obtained through interviews, observation and documentation related to Jalan Berdua innovation. Secondary data is in the form of documents related to research. Data collection techniques involve observation, open interviews, and documentation. This research will provide an overview of the problems faced in implementing the Double Road Innovation in Pasuruan City and the efforts that have been made to overcome them. The results of this research are: Overall, the Jalan Berdua program in Pasuruan City is a successful example of how innovation in population administration services can improve efficiency, accessibility, community satisfaction, inter-agency cooperation, and effective use of data.

This paper reveals the impact of voter turnout on the legitimacy of presidential elections based on the materials of 20 largest states holding such elections in terms of the number of voters. In March 2024, presidential elections were held in Russia and in November elections are scheduled in the United States, the outcome of which will have an impact on the domestic and foreign policies of these states. The author has tested the hypothesis that in most cases, for the existing political regime in countries where subject and patriarchal political cultures are widespread, high voter turnout acts as a donor of legitimacy, therefore, the authorities seek to involve the maximum number of voters in conventional political participation in presidential elections and ensure victory for the person holding the office of president (incumbent). In countries where the political culture of participation has become more widespread, the competition of strong candidates is a source of legitimacy for political regimes that do not seek to mobilize all voters to participate in presidential elections and are most often unable to ensure the re-election of the incumbent. Based on the analysis of electoral statistics of presidential elections in the studied states, it was concluded that high electoral activity in countries with a predominance of national and patriarchal political cultures, even if there is no real competition between candidates, but with broad public recognition of the existing political regime, ensures the legitimacy of elections. In countries where political culture of participation has become more widespread, high turnout is a consequence of interest in elections, and not the result of the mobilization of the electorate by the political regime. Examples are Turkey and France, where the last presidential elections were held with high turnout and competition between the two most popular candidates; low electoral activity in the presidential elections is a prerequisite for the subsequent political crisis and dismantling of the political regime (Afghanistan, Nigeria). Acceptable level of voter turnout in the presidential elections, which can act as an indicator of their legitimacy, is about 60–66%.

Culturable Bioaerosols Assessment in a Waste-Sorting Plant and UV-C Decontamination

Waste-Sorting Plant (WSP) workers are exposed to bioaerosols containing a large variety of bacterial and fungal species, posing a critical health risk that needs to be assessed and mitigated. The present study aimed to evaluate the indoor air quality in a Portuguese WSP and the air decontamination efficiency with UV-C. The concentrations of bacteria and fungi and particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), CO2, relative humidity, and temperature were determined at different hours in manual sorting areas (cabin and ramp) in autumn and winter in 2022 and in administrative offices and canteen in the autumn of 2023. The PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations in the air increased with the daily waste-sorting activities, especially inside the cabin, averaging 22 and 42 μg/m3, respectively, while the CO2 concentration was in the range of 343–578 ppm in both sampling sites. The bacterial species were mainly environmental (mesophilic bacteria) rather than human sources. In the waste-sorting areas, the concentration of bacteria was often found to exceed outdoor values by more than 1000 CFU/m3 on average. Additionally, the concentration of fungi indoors was consistently higher than outdoor values, in many cases exceeding 500 CFU/m3. These findings suggest that workers in these areas are frequently exposed to high levels of microbes. The indoor-to-outdoor (I/O) contamination ratios revealed that the air quality inside the administrative offices and the canteen had high pollutant concentrations during some time periods. The worst scenarios were observed in the canteen and offices with high occupancy in the afternoon. UV-C lamps at 253.7 nm and with 5.0 W irradiation power were used in the sorting cabin to test the indoor air and surface decontamination, and the results showed a high bacterial removal efficacy of over 87.6% after one hour of exposure to UV-C. The present study raises the question of whether 37 °C is the optimal incubation temperature for WSP samples since the microorganisms’ habitat before the sampling had a much lower temperature. As the waste-sorting industry expands, these findings show that the air quality of WSPs remains concerning and requires a holistic approach, integrating the working conditions of all personnel and the implementation and monitoring of mitigation measures.

Implementation of a health information technology safety classification system in the Veterans Health Administration's Informatics Patient Safety Office.

Implement the 5-type health information technology (HIT) patient safety concern classification system for HIT patient safety issues reported to the Veterans Health Administration's Informatics Patient Safety Office. A team of informatics safety analysts retrospectively classified 1year of HIT patient safety issues by type of HIT patient safety concern using consensus discussions. The processes established during retrospective classification were then applied to incoming HIT safety issues moving forward. Of 140 issues retrospectively reviewed, 124 met the classification criteria. The majority were HIT failures (eg, software defects) (33.1%) or configuration and implementation problems (29.8%). Unmet user needs and external system interactions accounted for 20.2% and 10.5%, respectively. Absence of HIT safety features accounted for 2.4% of issues, and 4% did not have enough information to classify. The 5-type HIT safety concern classification framework generated actionable categories helping organizations effectively respond to HIT patient safety risks.

Dual Education: A methodology Used in the Professional Secretariat School for developing workplace competencies during 2023

The Dual Professional Training Project of the Professional Secretarial School (ESP) of the National University since 2000 and is implemented in the diploma program of the two careers Commercial Education and Office Administration, which provide work spaces for students to acquire certified professional experience and, at the same time, develop labor and social competencies, through the combination of theory and practice. Continuous supervision of the participants is carried out, as well as interviews and focus groups to learn about the experiences of this modality in the year 2023, which were the acquisition of knowledge in the area of technology with the use of platforms, programs and databases; the execution of techniques through the development of document types and file management; and participation in areas complementary to their training, such as training and handling of confidential information, in addition to the skills put into practice, for example, teamwork, assertive communication and creativity. The teaching staff of the ESP has pedagogical training and experience in the technical area, necessary to complement the work developed by the tutors within the companies, which have the disposition and resources to participate in this modality.

How Do Toothless Tigers Bite? Extra-institutional Governance and Internet Censorship by Local Governments in China

Abstract China has constructed a rigorous state apparatus to control its online social content. To date, research has largely focused on the central government's cyber control, but the less studied local cyberspace administrative forces are also important. Our fieldwork and interviews at a county-level cyberspace administration office (CAO) in east China reveal that the local CAO had been rendered a “toothless tiger” with insufficient technology, power and labour. However, it has made up for these deficiencies by utilizing systems such as outsourced surveillance, organized mass reporting and personnel secondment. We contend that these practices, which we label “extra-institutional governance” (EIG), emerge when bureaucracies with limited resources face external pressures. The findings shed light on how censorship machines operate in local governments in China and reveal the general dynamics of how bureaucratic organizations adapt to environmental pressures.

The Influence of Learning Media on the Quality of Progress Office Administration Program

This research aims to describe the use of learning media and the quality of learning in the Office Administration Skills program at Watampone State Vocational School 1 as well as the influence of learning media on the quality of the teaching and learning process there. This research uses experimental research with a population of 208 students there, with a sample of 68 students with an error rate of 10 percent. Data collection was carried out using observation and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of this research show that the use of learning media there is classified as good from the aspects of print media, electronic media and reality media. The quality of the teaching and learning process there is assessed as good in terms of active, innovative, creative, effective and enjoyable learning. There is a significant positive influence of the use of learning media on the quality of learning in the office administration skills program at SMK Negeri 1 Watampone, amounting to 17.9 percent

Transformation of digital government services in the public sector in South Africa

Background: It is well-documented that the 21st century is providing digital technologies in an alarming rate. Their emergence promotes effectiveness, efficiency, accountability and transparency of public services and internal governance. This study was conducted within the government departments and state-owned agencies of South Africa.Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the transformation of digital government services in the public sector in South Africa.Methods: This case study used qualitative approach where data were collected through semi-structured interviews from the national government departments and state-owned entities. The target population comprised information technology officers, investigators or analysts and administrative officers. Data collected were thematically analysed preceding the transcription of audio-recordings.Results: Some of the significant results of this study showed that the executives avoid playing their role to drive Information and communications technology (ICT) through Corporate ICT Strategy.Conclusion: Some of the challenges of adopting digital transformation are associated with low digital literacy, poor digital infrastructure, unreliable power supply, among others.Contribution: This study establishes that if the senior managers from ICT section become members of the executive committee, the government can have successful implementation of ICT projects without scepticism. This study also contributes to the awareness of considering digital literacy skills to support digital transformation.

A Clinical Nurse Specialist in Home Healthcare.

Opportunities and challenges in home healthcare are discussed from the perspective of a gerontological clinical nurse specialist who has served as an expert clinician, administrator, and compliance director of a home health agency in the Midwest United States. Home-based nursing care requires a distinct set of knowledge and skills centered on the home environment and the way the home health patient responds emotionally and physically to become confident and self-sufficient. A Theoretical Framework for Home-Based Professional Nursing Practice is presented identifying the 6 concepts (primacy of home, patient authority, patient self-management, caregivers as collaborators, interprofessional clinical team collaboration, nurse autonomy) that are building blocks to describe the experience of patients in their homes and interactions with providers. The quality of clinical care and documentation influence reimbursement for care and the financial survival of the home health agency. Six management priorities both within the administrative office and the clinical teams are highlighted to improve quality of care, promote efficiency, and retain staff.
