МЕТОДИКА ОРГАНІЗАЦІЇ ПОЗАУРОЧНОЇ ДІЯЛЬНОСТІ В ПРОФЕСІЙНІЙ ОСВІТІ НА ЗАСАДАХ САМООРГАНІЗАЦІЙНОГО ПІДХОДУ

The article examines the issue of forming methods of extracurricular activities of subjects of training in vocational education institutions based on the self-organizational approach. Acquiring a profession in these institutions is carried out according to the lesson system, which is limited by the curriculum, class schedule, etc. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the importance of the formation of the method of organizing extracurricular educational work in the institution of vocational (vocational and technical) education for the formation of professionally mobile qualities for mastering additional education along with the traditional acquisition of qualifications. In addition to the content of the educational process, vocational (vocational and technical) and professional pre-higher education institutions have accumulated experience in extracurricular educational work. However, studies of the last decade indicate the desire of some students to build their activities more effectively, in particular to acquire an additional education. The problem of creating a method of organizing such training, when the acquisition of an additional education is ensured during extracurricular educational activities, is considered. The definition is given – «extracurricular educational activity for the acquisition of an additional education» is a system of self-organized classes, activities and accordingly organized training of students, which are conducted in schools and outside them under the leadership of the administration, engineering and pedagogical workers, the public, student self-government bodies, etc. It was determined that one of the effective ways of organizing the process in vocational education institutions is the extracurricular educational activity of those seeking additional education. The conditions and features of training are outlined, determined on the basis of the conducted survey of the participants of the educational process in accordance with the existing motivation for training.

The Impact of Education Management Systems on the Success of Implementing Islamic Curriculum in Indonesian Higher Education Institutions

Islamic education is equally important in a Muslim's life as any other level of education. To assess the successful inclusion of Islamic education in Indonesian higher education institutes, this study looked into the successful execution of the Islamic education curriculum via the education management system. The study used a qualitative research approach, with higher education institutes inside Indonesia's demographic boundaries being investigated and data collected. Semi-structured interviews were used to obtain data from higher authorities and administrative workers who interact with the Islamic curriculum in higher education establishments. The data was analysed using thematic analysis, which resulted in various themes indicating several potential constructs that defined the successful implementation of the Islamic education curriculum, such as systematic approaches, cultural alignment, structured decision making, agile response systems, and so on. The contributions, limits, and future ideas are discussed in the peripheral portions of the study.

Neuron-Specific Enolase as a Biological Marker for Welders' Pneumoconiosis.

The aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between serum neuron-specific enolase (NSE) and welders' pneumoconiosis, through chest x-ray and serum NSE. The exposed group included 37 welders. The nonexposed group included 38 administrative workers. Both groups underwent history taking, clinical examination, chest x-ray, serum chromium, and serum neuron-specific enolase. Air sampling was done for total suspended particles, respirable particles, and welding fumes. All the air samples were within the national threshold limit values. Chest x-ray abnormalities were found in eight welders (21.6%), and included reticular opacities, scattered nodules or ground-glass opacities. Serum chromium and NSE were significantly higher among welders. Serum NSE correlated positively with the duration of exposure and serum chromium level among welders. Serum NSE can be used as a biomarker for early detection of welders' pneumoconiosis.

Understanding the Dry Eye Disease-Related Symptoms in South America: Prevalence and Associated Factors-A Systematic Review.

Background/Objectives: Dry eye disease is a leading cause of ophthalmologic consultations worldwide and can significantly impact quality of life. While global prevalence rates vary widely, data specific to South America are limited. This systematic review aims to describe and analyze the prevalence and associated factors of dry eye disease-related symptoms in South American populations. Methods: Following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, a systematic review was conducted using databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and LILACS. Primary studies in English and Spanish that examined the prevalence of dry eye disease-related symptoms in South American populations and its associated factors were included without date restrictions. Studies were screened and selected based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in the final inclusion of 16 studies from six South American countries. Results: This review identified significant variability in the prevalence of dry eye disease-related symptoms in South American populations in the region, ranging from 4% to 77.5%, with a mean prevalence of 39.3%. Higher prevalence rates were observed among specific groups, such as university students (58.6%) and administrative workers (57.9%). Factors associated with dry eye disease-related symptoms in South American populations included female sex, older age, prolonged screen time, insufficient sleep, and medical conditions such as hypertension, connective tissue disorders, and the use of medications like antihypertensives and antidepressants. Conclusions: The prevalence of dry eye disease-related symptoms in South American populations is notably higher than global averages, highlighting regional challenges. This study emphasizes the need for standardized diagnostic tools and comprehensive epidemiological research across South America, particularly in underrepresented countries, to inform public health strategies tailored to the specific needs of these populations.

Satisfaction Amongst Drug-dependent Population with Methadone Maintenance Treatment Services, A Comparison between Public and Private Clinics: Implications for Private Sector Engagement in the Delivery of Methadone Maintenance Programs Across Vietnam.

In Vietnam, the public sector has largely been responsible for delivering methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) services. However, with foreign aid anticipated to decline in the coming years, the involvement of the private sector in delivering MMT services is critical to ensure the continued sustainability of MMT programs across Vietnam. This study aims to evaluate patient satisfaction and identify correlated factors among Vietnamese drug users undergoing MMT in both public and private methadone clinics. A cross-sectional study was conducted in one private and two public methadone facilities in Nam Dinh, a province in the North of Vietnam. A convenience sampling technique was applied to recruit 395 participants. Data was collected through 20-minute face-to-face interviews using a structured questionnaire. Multivariate Tobit regression was utilized to measure associated factors with patient satisfaction. Results showed that patients were highly satisfied with MMT services in both public and private; however, they expected a higher degree of comprehensive care services. Compared with public facilities, the satisfaction level of patients in private facilities was significantly lower in the following aspects: health administration and professional capacity of health workers. However, there were insignificant differences in regard to infrastructure, equipment, and availability of medical services resources, supporting a promising role of the private sector in supporting the expansion of the MMT programs in Vietnam. Integrating MMT with other physical and mental healthcare services, along with strategies for improving administrative procedures and health workers' capacity in private clinics, are critical implications of this study.

Becoming Hand Hygiene Heroes: implementation of an infection prevention and control campaign for patient and family hospital safety

BackgroundThe COVID-19 pandemic highlighted that hand hygiene is key in preventing healthcare-associated infections. Patients and families are understudied targets for infection prevention and control practices. Previous campaigns to change hand hygiene behavior have been effective, but often face systemic challenges with implementation. MethodsThe “Hand Hygiene Heroes” educational campaign was developed to improve patient and family hand hygiene at two tertiary care pediatric and obstetrics hospitals. Its multiple phases included visual materials, tailored activities for nine hospital units, and long-term evaluation during a two-year period. Hand hygiene rates among patients/families and healthcare workers were measured at baseline and throughout the campaign via direct observation. ResultsOverall, hand hygiene significantly increased for both patients/families (OR 1.82, p 0.041) and healthcare workers (OR 2.15, p <0.001) after campaign initiation. However, individual units had varying degrees of sustainment on follow-up evaluations. DiscussionDuration of intervention, activity simplicity, active participation, and resource availability may affect success of campaign initiatives. Positive prognostic factors included mixed leadership support from administration and front-line workers, pre-determined sustainability plans, and tailored activities by target audience. ConclusionsImplementation of hospital educational campaigns can be resource-intensive but can positively impact patient and family hand hygiene.

Associations between bioaerosols, lung function work-shift changes and inflammatory markers: A study of recycling workers.

We investigated associations between bioaerosol exposures and work-shift changes in lung function and inflammatory markers among recycling workers. Inhalable dust was measured with personal samplers and analyzed for endotoxin, bacteria, and fungi (incubated at 25 °C and 37 °C) levels. Lung function (FEV1, FVC) was measured before and after work-shifts and serum concentrations of inflammatory markers (CRP, SAA, CC16, IL1B, IL2, IL4, IL5, IL6, IL8, IL10, IL13, and TNF) after the shift. Associations were explored by linear mixed-effects models. We included 170 measurements from 88 production workers exposed to inhalable dust, endotoxin, bacteria, and fungi (25 °C and 37 °C) at geometric mean levels of 0.6 mg/m3, 10.7 EU/m3, 1.6×104 CFU/m3, 4.4×104 CFU/m3, and 103 CFU/m3, respectively, and 14 administrative workers exposed at 7-fold lower levels. No associations were observed between bioaerosol exposures and work-shift change in lung function. IL2, IL6, IL10, and TNF concentrations were positively associated with inhalable dust levels, SAA and IL6 with bacteria, CRP, SAA, IL8, and TNF with fungi (25 °C or 37 °C), with the latter being the only statistically significant finding (exp(β) 1.40, 95% confidence interval 1.01-1.96). This study of recycling workers exposed to bioaerosol levels generally below those of farmers and compost workers and above background levels did not indicate any acute effect on lung function. Several inflammatory markers tended to increase with exposure, suggesting a systemic effect. Future research should combine data from bioaerosol-exposed workers to uncover health risks that may form the basis for health-based occupational exposure limits.

Nexus between Anthropometric Indices in Hypertensive and Normotensive Adults: A Gender-Based Study in a Sprawling Urban Community

Adipose tissue in the body can be easily assessed using anthropometric measurements such as hip, waist, chest, and neck circumferences, waist-to-height ratio, body mass index (BMI), and subscapular skinfold thickness. Gender, age, lifestyle, ethnicity, genetics, and nutrition influence these measurements. Although extensive research exists on anthropometry, there is still a lack of data on the gender-specific correlations between anthropometric indices (or parameters), obesity, and blood pressure. This study aimed to investigate the gender differences in anthropometric parameters in hypertensive and normotensive adults, and to assess the gender-based correlations between anthropometry and blood pressure. A cross-sectional, quantitative study involving 355 adults, aged 20-75 years was conducted in Enugu City, South-East Nigeria. Data were collected using well-structured questionnaires, an electronic weighing scale, a stadiometer, a non-elastic fiber-glass tape, and an Accoson™ Desktop mercury sphygmomanometer. Student’s t-test was used to compare anthropometric parameters, and Pearson correlation coefficient (r) was used to analyze the relationships between anthropometric parameters and blood pressure. Statistical significance was set at p&lt;0.05. The study found a 38.0% prevalence of hypertension. Gender comparisons revealed that more males were underweight (39.0%), with no cases of class 3 obesity. Females had higher rates of overweight (27.9%) and obesity (41.3%). In the hypertensive participants, all anthropometric parameters were higher when compared to normotensive participants, except for height in males, neck circumference and subscapular-triceps ratio in females. Hypertensive and normotensive males had greater weight, height, neck and chest circumferences, waist-to-hip ratio, and subscapular-triceps ratio than their female counterparts. Conversely, hypertensive and normotensive females had greater waist circumference, hip circumference, subscapular skinfold, triceps skinfold, BMI, and waist-to-height ratio compared to males. Anthropometric parameters are key indicators of obesity, a major global health issue due to its association with hypertension. The rising trend in obesity, driven by dietary changes, disproportionately affects women. Urgent interventions are needed to promote routine exercise, particularly among administrative workers, and to raise public awareness about the benefits of physical activity.

The Impacts of Remote Work and Attitudinal Shifts on Commuting Reductions in Post-COVID Melbourne, Australia

This paper analyses the commuting frequencies and modal choices of travellers in Melbourne, using a dataset reflecting travel behaviour before and after COVID-19. A factor analysis of 63 latent variables identified seven key factors, which were used in cluster analysis to examine the relationships between latent constructs, land use, and socio-demographic variables, as well as commuting behaviours. The analysis categorised white-collar employees into four groups based on their remote work engagement, with socio-demographics and industry type as key factors. The analysis shows that female clerical and administrative workers who worked from home during the pandemic are now returning to the office, raising gender equality concerns within society. Meanwhile, the education and training sector mandates office attendance despite the feasibility of remote work, as universities prioritise in-person attendance to attract more international students, impacting societal norms around telecommuting. The analysis revealed that saving on commute costs, reducing travel time, and spending more time with family are the among the primary factors influencing travel behaviour among white-collar employee’s post-pandemic. The study found that the decrease in public transport trips is associated with increased telecommuting rather than service dissatisfaction, especially among Central Business District (CBD) employees who still rely on public transport. This trend suggests that the CBD sector’s growing acceptance of remote work is reducing daily commutes, which puts additional pressure on public transport providers to sustain and improve their services. A decline in service quality could further reduce ridership, highlighting the need for consistent, high-quality public transport. Furthermore, the study found that increased telecommuting is likely to reduce car trips in the future, especially among healthcare and social workers who prefer driving due to public transport’s unreliability for their demanding schedules. By examining variables like the advantages and disadvantages of working from home, convenience, accessibility, and the efficiency of public transport, this study enhances the understanding of transport behaviour and underscores the need to improve public transport reliability to support sustainable cities as remote work grows.

Conservation of resources perspective on authentic leadership and employee well-being: The influence of job stress and emotional intelligence.

Health care industries must consider their sustainable development, and employee well-being is a crucial environmental, social, and governance indicator that should be prioritized. During events such as the COVID-19 pandemic, information transparency is a concern for health care workers. Authentic leaders can build trust by openly sharing their thoughts and feelings. Understanding how authentic leadership affects employee well-being through job stress and how emotional intelligence reduces job stress is essential for health care workers. This study investigated the effect of authentic leadership on employee well-being and considered the mediating role of job stress and moderating role of emotional intelligence in this effect. A time-lagged survey of 452 full-time health care workers (comprising nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative workers) from a general hospital in Taiwan was conducted. Authentic leadership was positively associated with employee well-being, and job stress mediated the effects of authentic leadership on employee well-being. Among the employees who perceived leadership to be authentic, those with higher emotional intelligence felt less job stress. From the perspective of conservation of resources theory, authentic leadership was identified as a crucial factor influencing how health care workers reduce job stress and improve their well-being. Emotional intelligence was identified as essential in enhancing the effects of authentic leadership on reducing the job stress of health care workers. Organizations should promote authentic interactions between leaders and followers and provide training for developing authentic leadership. They should also provide training to improve their employees' emotional intelligence.

병원행정직원들의 MBTI 성격유형이 직무만족, 조직몰입에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of MBTI personality types on job satisfaction and organizational commitment among administrative workers at hospital-level medical institutions. As for the research method, 140 structured questionnaires were used in the final analysis, focusing on research subjects who agreed to the questionnaire, targeting administrative staff at hospitals located in Busan and Ulsan. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and correlation were used using the SPSS 27.0 program. Analysis, multiple regression analysis was performed. The results of the study showed that in job satisfaction, the NT type was higher than the ST type in system-related satisfaction (p=.028), and in emotional commitment, the NF type was higher than the ST type (p=.033). This significant difference appeared. In terms of decision-making type, the EF type was found to have significant differences in job satisfaction and organizational commitment compared to the IT and IF types. Based on these research results, the NF emotional type was found to be more suitable to increase work satisfaction and organizational commitment of workers in health care institutions. Hospitals are institutions that provide medical services, and for efficient work response and patient safety, it is believed that it is necessary to confirm the satisfaction, emotional commitment, and continued commitment of hospital administrative staff with their work and system.

The Influence of Occupational Factors to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome on Administrative Workers in A Transportation Manufacturing Company

CTS is arranged in outer muscle problems. This infection is brought about by pressure of the middle nerve at the wrist. Occupational factors are work- related risk factors, such as working quickly, repetitive movements, work stress, work that uses a lot of wrists and vibrations. The motivation behind this study is to decide the impact of word related elements to CTS frequency on regulatory specialists. This study uses cross sectional design with 35 respondents as sample. To determine hand posture was carried out by observation and interpretation with RULA, measurement of repetitive motion use a stopwatch, and work stress use Stress Diagnosis Survey. Utilize the Phalen's Test and the Boston Carpal Tunnel Questionnaire to determine the incidence of CTS. The aftereffect of prescreening on managerial specialists uncovered that 40% laborers are positive for CTS. While the analysis uses binary logistic regression to determine the influence of occupational factors to CTS incident. Variables that influence CTS are repetitive motion of using mouse (p=0.005), repetitive motion of typing (p=0.027), and work stress (p=0.027). Therefore, it is necessary to give recommendations based on related variables (repetitive motion and work stress) in order to minimize the occurrence of CTS.

European Health Information Training Programme: a sustainable strategy for strengthening capacity in health information.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, a need for a uniform approach to health information (HI) knowledge in population health analysis across Europe was evident. The Population Health Information Research Infrastructure (PHIRI) emerged as a proactive initiative to strengthen European HI capacities. This article describes the achievements of PHIRI, highlighting its capacity-building activities and their contribution towards a sustainable strategy for the implementation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS). PHIRI collaboration established a work package for skill-building activities in population health in partnership with other organizations. Activities included webinars, workshops, sessions, training schools and courses for researchers and public administration workers from Europe and beyond. The primary goal of the activities was to examine the impact of COVID-19 on European health systems at both local and national levels, including healthcare facilities and policymaking entities. Twelve activities were organized between October 2020 and the summer of 2023. In March 2023, the Spring School on Health Information was organized to share the knowledge achieved from PHIRI and other European Union-related projects. This event also validated the European Health Information Training Programme. PHIRI's findings emphasized the importance of equipping the workforce with core HI skills to improve health systems' preparedness and resilience. Through this research, it is possible to propose a strategy for building capacity that emphasizes the importance of providing training in human-machine dynamics. This approach will contribute to the sustainable implementation of the EHDS.

Uncovering the Issues Associated with AI and other Disruptive Technology Enabled Operational Practices in Healthcare Sectors in India

Background: Advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and other Disruptive technology, have been directly responsible for the significant changes, renovations, and enhancements that have taken place in healthcare systems around the world. In spite of the many challenges, particularly in nations still growing their economies, the healthcare industry has a significant number of opportunities. Objective: To explore the key obstacles that were encountered by the healthcare industry both during and after the introduction of AI and other Disruptive technological practices associated with Health 4.0 in the healthcare industry to uncover how these variables influence AI and other Disruptive technology adoption in healthcare sector of India. Methods: An online survey format that included standardized questionnaire data was obtained from 83 hospitals, and a total of 434 samples have been implemented for various healthcare administrative staff members by the adoption of AI and Disruptive technology. ANOVA analysis was done to confirm the hypotheses' assumptions, then descriptive statistics were done to analyze the mean value, and also EFA and CFA analysis with SEM analysis has been done in the SPSS program for numerous validity tests (version 20). Results: This research explored 15 issues that healthcare administration staff members consider barriers and through the use of EFA, only two of the three primary obstacles"Additional workload" and "Problems with adopting technology" have a substantial impact on the rate at which AI is adopted in the healthcare industry, as seen through the eyes of the workers in that area. Conclusion: These challenges include a high need for capital, extra investments in new technologies like the internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), business analytics, , resistance to change from both employees and employers, the need for a skilled workforce, and the upkeep of support systems. The use of blockchain technology in India's healthcare system as a secure service for administrative workers in Health 4.0 Practices could solve data security problems.

Differential Inflammatory Cytokine Elaboration in Serum from Brick Kiln Workers in Bhaktapur, Nepal.

Previous studies involving workers at brick kilns in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal have investigated chronic exposure to hazardous levels of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) common in ambient and occupational environments. Such exposures are known to cause and/or exacerbate chronic respiratory diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. However, there is a paucity of data regarding the status of systemic inflammation observed in exposed workers at brick manufacturing facilities within the country. In the current study, we sought to elucidate systemic inflammatory responses by quantifying the molecular cytokine/chemokine profiles in serum from the study participants. A sample of participants were screened from a kiln in Bhaktapur, Nepal (n = 32; 53% female; mean ± standard deviation: 28.42 ± 11.47 years old) and grouped according to job category. Blood was procured from participants on-site, allowed to clot at room temperature, and centrifuged to obtain total serum. A human cytokine antibody array was used to screen the inflammatory mediators in serum samples from each of the participants. For the current study, four job categories were evaluated with n = 8 for each. Comparisons were generated between a control group of administration workers vs. fire master workers, administration workers vs. green brick hand molders, and administration workers vs. top loaders. We discovered significantly increased concentrations of eotaxin-1, eotaxin-2, GCSF, GM-CSF, IFN-γ, IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8, TGF-β1, TNF-α, and TIMP-2 in serum samples from fire master workers vs. administration workers (p < 0.05). Each of these molecules was also significantly elevated in serum from green brick hand molders compared to administration workers (p < 0.05). Further, each molecule in the inflammatory screening with the exception of TIMP-2 was significantly elevated in serum from top loaders compared to administration workers (p < 0.05). With few exceptions, the fire master workers expressed significantly more systemic inflammatory molecular abundance when compared to all other job categories. These results reveal an association between pulmonary exposure to PM2.5 and systemic inflammatory responses likely mediated by cytokine/chemokine elaboration. The additional characterization of a broader array of inflammatory molecules may provide valuable insight into the susceptibility to lung diseases among this population.

Stand-Capable Workstations Reduce Occupational Sedentary Time Among Administrative Workers

OCCUPATIONAL APPLICATIONS In this study, we found that workers who use stand-biased desks stood more and sat less during their workday compared to workers who use traditional desks. Stand-biased users also experienced significantly less lower back discomfort compared to both traditional and sit-stand workstation users. Based on these findings, we recommend that the use of stand-biased workstations be considered when designing or renovating work office workspaces. The health risks of sedentary behavior are inherent in most office work, but these risks can be alleviated with intentional equipment choices. Using stand-biased desks can encourage workers to move more throughout the workday without their productivity or comfort being disturbed.

Effect of Stretching Exercise on Reducing Musculoskeletal Disorders for Administration Staff at Hospital

Administrative staff worked with static body posture and repetitive work for more than eight hours a day. They were experiencing musculoskeletal disorders as a risk of using workstation and their posture at work. It is important to reduce the risk of injury caused by their working risks. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of stretching on the reduction of musculoskeletal disorders. This research used quasi-experiment approach with one group pre-test post-test only design. The number of research respondents was 60 employees taken by purposive sampling at Lung Hospital Bandung. Musculoskeletal disorders measured using the Nordic Body Map questionnaire before and after interventions. Stretching was giving to employees every day for 3 weeks simultaneously. The result shows majority of respondents were female, 33 respondents (55%), as many as 54 respondents (66.7%) were 24-30 years old. Most of respondents have BMI in obese level as may as 31 respondents (51.7%). Respondents who have worked for more than 2 years were 43 respondents (71.7%). Before the intervention, as many respondents experienced low complaints (86.7%). After the intervention, all respondents had decreaced in complaints become the low category (p=0,001). Recommendation for hospital was to carry out stretching exercise to prevent MSDs for administrative workers.

Level of sedentary lifestyle of workers in a higher education institution in Mexico

Currently, the workload and strict schedules lead employees to neglect their physical and mental health, which leads them to have a more sedentary life, which can become a risk factor for work-related diseases and mortality. The objective of this research is to determine the level of sedentary lifestyle by analyzing the variables associated with this behavior, in administrative and academic workers of a higher education institution in Mexico. The research followed a descriptive design and correlational, applying the Deming cycle methodology, for which information was collected through a direct survey and data analysis with a statistical program, on physical activity and sedentary lifestyle, in the in which a total of 108 respondents participated. A high prevalence of sedentary lifestyle was observed, present in 66.6% of the population studied and it was verified that 47,2% of the workers did not comply with the minimum recommendations for physical activity. The study revealed a high prevalence of sedentary behavior in workers. In addition, a dependency relationship of sedentary lifestyle with physical activity, gender and glucose levels was identified, these being the variables that explain this behavior in a significant way.

Work-related musculoskeletal complaints: risk factors and impact on work productivity among university administrative employees

BackgroundWork-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) are a significant workplace problem leading to loss of productivity and disability. Administrative workers perform computer-based tasks for long periods. Consequently, they are at risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders. The objective of this study was to explore the frequency and risk factors of work-related musculoskeletal complaints and their impact on work productivity among administrative employees of Suez Canal University, Egypt.MethodsThis cross-sectional study was conducted on 300 administrative employees through simple random sampling. Data were collected by an interview questionnaire including sociodemographic, work-related data, ergonomic and psychological risk factors, the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ), and the World Health Organization Health and Work Performance Questionnaire (HPQ).ResultsThe frequency of work-related musculoskeletal complaints in at least one anatomical region over the past year was 74.7%. Neck (47.1%), lower back (40.7%), and shoulder (36.3%) were the most reported sites of complaints. Risk factors significantly associated with work-related musculoskeletal complaints were gender, age, physical activity, work experience, workplace stress, sustained body position, awkward posture, and inadequate rest breaks. Logistic regression revealed that older age (OR = 1.039, p = 0.023), being female (OR = 2.175, p = 0.011), and not having adequate rest breaks (OR = 1.979, p = 0.019) were significant predictors for the occurrence of WMSDs. The risk factors of absenteeism include gender, age, marital status, educational level, physical activity, BMI, work experience, and musculoskeletal complaints.ConclusionMusculoskeletal problems were highly prevalent among administrative employees. Being female and not having adequate rest breaks were significant predictors for the occurrence of WMSDs. Ergonomic interventions and improvement of working conditions are recommended to reduce WMSDs.
