Methodology for forming a digital farming management system

The paper presents methodological approaches for the creation of a digital farming management system (DFMS). A convergent approach, based on cognitive (conceptual) analysis methods, is employed in the research and applied to the formation of adaptive landscape farming systems. The fundamental principles of organizing DFMS include crop and environmental monitoring (in situ, remote sensing); the formation of farming system archetypes based on the analysis of long-term field experiments; spatial object modeling and land typology using GIS; planning and support for agrotechnologies to adapt to natural and economic conditions; modeling ecosystem services and biodiversity; assessing the impact on the sustainability and economics of crop production. The system is implemented using geoinformation models in a specific geographic coordinate. DFMS involves conducting a "inventory" of natural and production resources, as well as identifying limits of climatic, soil, and agrolandscape parameters at different levels of land use intensity. At each stage of organizing system blocks, methods of intelligent data analysis and machine learning are used, with the core of the system relying on the use of knowledge bases and logical rules of the subject area. A key element of the system is the scaling of the results of long-term field experiments and accumulated knowledge in different management areas based on the parameterization of the multi-level variability of farming systems and the formation of their archetypes. The practical implementation of the main provisions of DFMS allows approaching the solution of key issues related to reducing the level of uncertainty and associated risks in agriculture. This is achieved through scientifically justified organization of rational land use, increasing the resilience of crop production in different land use conditions, and providing information support to rural producers.

Application of geoinformation systems in the agricultural complex

Precision farming, encompassing coordinated farming, adaptive landscape farming, and precision farming, represents a scientific paradigm in agricultural production that capitalizes on the inherent variability in soil fertility within localized areas. By tailoring practices to specific soil characteristics, precision farming optimizes profitability through the targeted application of fertilizers and plant protection products. Serving as the epitome of flexible landscape farming, precision farming integrates advanced agricultural technologies to achieve heightened productivity levels. Data collected through precision farming practices informs critical aspects of agricultural management, including strategic planting, precise calculation of input quantities, improved crop forecasting, and enhanced financial planning. Successful implementation of precision farming hinges on a thorough consideration of local soil attributes and climatic conditions, underscoring the importance of site-specific adaptation in modern agricultural strategies.

Dynamics of Soil Fertility Indicators in Protective Forest Plantations

The purpose of the work is to analyze the dynamics of soil fertility indicators under forest belts in comparison with the inter-belt space in the agricultural landscape due to soil transformation under the influence of adaptive landscape farming systems. A comparative analysis of the variability of soil fertility indicators in forest belts and agrocenoses revealed similar trends in its direction and intensity, which indicates the uniform nature of the soil-forming process. However, some features have been identified. The humus content in the soils of forest belts is on average slightly higher than in the space between the belts. This is caused by higher (2 times) rates of humus accumulation in them in the first period after the development of landscape farming systems. It is during this period that the weedy and rhizomatous stages of restorative succession of the herbaceous flora of forest belts are confined, characterized by a powerful vegetative mass of vegetation and, consequently, an equally significant supply of fresh organic matter, rich in nutrients, into the soil.

Intensity and Direction of Dynamics of Soil Fertility Indicators in Landscape Farming

The purpose of the work is to study the dynamics of soil fertility indicators after the development of adaptive landscape farming systems in the most eroded region of the Belgorod region since 1981. Based on 40 years of research at the model object “Turnip Log”, it is shown that the direction and intensity of the soil-forming process is changing. Four stages are distinguished: at the first until 1993 the decrease in humus content and alkalization of the soil environment, characteristic of washed away carbonate soils, continues; at the second stage, the rate of humus loss drops 10 times; the third ten-year period is characterized by a significant increase in organic matter and its stabilization subsequently, which accompanied by a transition in pHsol. to the area of neutral values. The dynamics of mobile forms of macroelements and agronomically valuable cations Ca2+ and Mg2+ indicate the cultivation of soils in general. At the same time, it is emphasized that there are no universal elements in the agricultural system; Along with the creation of an ecological framework of protective plantings, it is necessary to comply with the principles of adaptive placement of agricultural crops and a deficit-free balance of humus and nutrients in crop rotations.

The Influence of Landscape Farming Systems on the Fertility of Eroded Residual Carbonate Chernozem

The purpose of the work is to study the influence of adaptive landscape farming systems on the fertility indicators of eroded residual carbonate chernozem. The study of carbonate soils is of particular scientific and practical interest, since they are susceptible to easy destruction, accelerated degradation and increased difficulty in restoring fertility; they suffer more from water erosion and deflation. With the integrated use of all elements of adaptive landscape farming systems, primarily including anti-erosion organization of the territory that forms the soil-protective configuration of fields, a system of protective forest plantings, adaptive placement of agricultural crops, a fertilizer system aimed at a deficit-free balance of humus and nutrients, even in extremely difficult soil conditions. -relief conditions of the Krasnogvardeisky test site managed to stop soil erosion losses, which contributed to an increase in their fertility.

SYSTEM OF AGROTECHNICAL ANTI-EROSION MEASURES IN THE CONDITIONS OF THE MOUNTAIN AREA OF THE UKRAINIAN CARPATHIANS

Ecological and agronomic geoinformation system of
 radioactively contaminated lands of Tula Research Institute

Agronomic GIS has been developed in the ArcGis 10.5 in order to introduce a system of adaptive landscape farming on the radioactively contaminated territory of the Tulskii NII. 3D models were built in the ArcScene 10.5 on the basis of electronic maps for the best visualization the data. The project was created using information of soil characteristics, distribution of specific activity values for artificial 137Cs radionuclide in agricultural lands; characteristics of agricultural lands. AgroGIS contains electronic maps of the location of agricultural areas; structures of crop rotations; standard productivity; agrochemical cultivation of soils; relief; bias and exposition; agrochemical indexes of soils; surface activity values of 137Cs on agricultural land; risks of obtaining contaminated products.
 The electronic maps contain all the necessary information for planning agricultural production. It based on the characteristics of agrolandscapes, soils and relief. Users can edit and enter data in this project.

CURRENT TRENDS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF AGRICULTURAL SYSTEMS IN THE UDMURT REPUBLIC

Minimisation of soil tillage is one of the defining trends in the development of agriculture. It allows for a significant reduction in agrotechnical operations in crop cultivation, thereby reducing the technological load on soils, energy, and labour inputs in production and increasing soil resistance to erosion processes. Minimum tillage effectively promotes the restoration of potential and adequate soil fertility and aligns with the principles of adaptive landscape agriculture. Despite numerous positive aspects of minimum tillage, its implementation in production is restrained by certain drawbacks: worsening of crop phytosanitary conditions, increased plough layer density, differentiation of the plough layer by agrochemical and agrophysical indicators, and more. To assess the possibility of implementing minimum tillage in the soil and climatic conditions of the Udmurt Republic, long-term field experiments have been conducted at the Udmurt Research Institute of Agriculture since 1980. Both positive and negative aspects of three types of primary soil tillage have been identified. Moldboard ploughing, throughout the observation period, compared to other types of tillage, provided the highest crop yield (by 0.15 0.50 t per hectare or 5.6 17.5%) and energy efficiency coefficient (by 1.9 16.7%). No-till soil treatment proved to be the most environmentally friendly, increasing the organic matter content in the 0-10 cm layer by 8.1 11.5%. However, it led to a strong differentiation of the plough layer into two sub-layers: 0-10 and 10-20 cm. The lower sub-layer was characterised by higher density and lower content of mineral nutrients and humus. In most cases, combined tillage showed intermediate results. Further scientific research is needed to develop agrotechnologies with more significant minimisation of soil tillage.

The goals of land use optimization in Russia

The land reform of the 1990s created certain economic and environmental prerequisites for efficient land use. However, they are not implemented due to the complete liberalization of the market and the disengagement of the State from land management, the termination of state land administration. Adjustment of the economic course and strategic planning are considered as the initial condition for land use rationalization and further transformations. As a planning tool, it is proposed to implement regional models of agro-industrial production in development of previously used agricultural management systems based on the development of regional GIS for agroecological land assessment and projecting of adaptive landscape farming systems in M 1 : 100 000. For this purpose, a system of integrated land assessment has been developed, and the experience of land administration projecting, landscape planning, and projecting of adaptive landscape farming systems has been generalized. On the basis of its integration, it is planned to develop new land administration on a landscape basis, and, subsequently, agricultural landscapes projecting.

FACTORS OF SLOPE SPRING RUNOFF ON GRAY FOREST SOILS IN THE CENTRAL FOREST-STEPPE

The results of long-term studies of several generations of scientists at the Novosilskaya zonal agroforestry and reclamation experimental station named after A.S. Kozmenko (a branch of the Federal Research Center of Agroecology of the Russian Academy of Sciences), initiated by Professor G.P. Surmach, were summarized and analyzed. The task was to assess the nature of the spring slope runoff formation and show the role of natural factors and agricultural activities. The methodological basis of the research was the method of runoff sites. As a result of a long (64 year long) study, a number of important dependencies and features of the runoff formation under different natural and climatic conditions were identified, as well as the influence of natural factors and agricultural activities on it (structure of sown areas, cultivation history, tillage methods, etc.). Scientific materials on the elements of the spring water balance give an idea of their patterns. It has been established that only three natural factors out of a large number of them have a significant impact on the slope spring runoff, i. e. the depth of soil freezing, snow reserves and humidity of the upper soil layer (down to 30 cm). Other factors almost do not affect the amount of runoff and they could be ignored in the process of calculation. The limiting levels of these three factors have been established, under which no runoff is formed. During 64 years of study, runoff was absent for 33 years, ranging from 1 to 146 mm in other years. Among anthropogenic factors, tillage methods and the state of agricultural backgrounds have a profound influence. The runoff regulatory importance of finching and the runoff forming role of perennial grasses and winter crops are discussed. On average, runoff from compacted arable land was 10 mm higher compared to loose chick; in some years the difference was significantly greater. The results of the study are necessary for the design of erosion-control adaptive landscape farming system.

Assessment of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Carbon Reserves with Zero Processing of Chernozem in the Conditions of the Forest-Steppe Zone of the Middle Volga Region

The transition from conventional soil treatment technology to zero treatment technology contributes to an increase in carbon sequestration (Sorg) in the form of carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere into the soil and, as a result, a reduction in the adverse effects of the greenhouse effect on the ecological state of the environment. The effectiveness of the application of zero tillage is to a greater or lesser extent due to specific agro-climatic conditions, crop rotation systems, fertilizers and plant protection, soil quality and stability. The influence of zero tillage on the dynamics of sorghum reserves and greenhouse gas emissions (CO2, N2O, CH4) in the agro-climatic conditions of crop production (LLC “Orlovka AIC”, Samara region) was investigated. The study was conducted on agrochernozem heavy loam in September–November 2021 in conditions of an abnormally arid growing season and high summer temperatures. On plots with zero tillage, plant residues were received: 268–1720 kg С/ha, 3–66 kg N, 0.2–7.7 kg P and 12–44 kg K/ha. Based on the results obtained, recommendations are proposed for further improving the efficiency of zero tillage technology due, firstly, to reducing its adverse effect on the density of soil composition, and, secondly, taking into account the influence of underlying parent rocks and relief on water erosion of soil and redistribution of granulometric fractions of soil in the agricultural landscape, which will allow using this technology according to principles of adaptive landscape farming.

УПРАВЛЕНИЕ ЗАТРАТНЫМ МЕХАНИЗМОМ ИННОВАЦИОННЫХ ПРОЦЕССОВ ОБРАБОТКИ ПОЧВЫ ДЛЯ АДАПТИВНО-ЛАНДШАФТНОГО ЗЕМЛЕДЕЛИЯ СИБИРИ

Relevance. The efficiency of agricultural production is determined by internal and external conditions. When cultivating grain crops (GC), extensive technologies predominate using plowing, which is contrary to environmental principles and leads to soil degradation. The analysis shows that for the period from 1930 to 2020 y., the efficiency of plowing (CUA) decreased from 0.84 to 0.37: the highest efficiency was provided by units based on DT-54, and the smallest, corresponding to 0.37, was recorded for a unit with a K-744R3 tractor with a PML-8 plow -10. And the application of precision farming technologies, due to the lack of control theory, will require a long time. However, under certain prevailing conditions, the use of moldboard processing – plowing has positive aspects that provide an increase in the yield of grain crops. The time has come for a radical change in attitudes towards agriculture. We need innovative mechanical and technological solutions. The purpose of the work is to increase the efficiency of technologies for growing grain crops based on the establishment of relationships between the main technical and economic indicators that characterize the effectiveness of the use of innovative tillage processes in adaptive landscape agriculture in Siberia. Research methods. Analysis and synthesis, optimization methods, experimental research methods, as well as methodological principles, including the principle of decomposition and superposition, the principle of block-modularity, the Ashby principle, the principle of adaptation and flexibility of implemented mechanical and technological solutions. Results. With a deep scientific justification and methodological completeness, it is necessary for the recommended farming systems to carry out a rational distribution of the most common technologies. And in order to conduct expanded reproduction, ensured by the level of profitability of the SC at least 30%, a change in the ratio of fixed and variable costs is required. It has been established that this ratio should be increased by 1.64 times compared to the existing one. The use of the hyperbolic tangent function, which describes the relationship between tangential stresses and soil moisture, and its study for an extremum, made it possible to determine the rational structure of the main tillage of heavy and heavy loamy soil types. So, for a wet period, with W> 23%, plowing with share plows is recommended; favorable, W = 18 – 23% – non-moldboard processing by a flexible automated technological complex; arid, W<18% – minimal or no-moldboard layer-by-layer processing, differentiated by the golden ratio. Conclusions. Increasing the competitiveness of Russian agricultural products is possible only through innovative development, which requires not only a new methodological environment, but also a change in the mathematical apparatus. To conduct expanded reproduction at a profitability level of at least 30%, dependencies are proposed that allow determining a rational cost structure, as well as a rational structure of methods for the main processing of heavy and heavy loamy soil types, depending on their moisture content. Solving the problem of increasing the efficiency of domestic agricultural production, which has a variety of conditions, requires the creation of innovative types, both tractors and complexes of special agricultural equipment.

Reproduction of soil fertility in adaptive landscape farming systems of the foothill zone of the RNO-Alania

Modern intensification of agriculture has significantly speeded up the processes of land destruction and loss of its fertility. This has led to the deterioration in the agroecological situation, boost in the potential fertility of land, and a significant decrease in yields and quality of agricultural products. The purpose of our research was the rational use of land, while compacting the link of the grain crop rotation. The studies were carried out in the foothill zone of the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania, on leached chernozems, in the subzone of sufficient moisture. In the experiments, oats were sown in pure form, mixed with peas, as well as a variant of a pea-oat-sunflower mixture, with harvesting terms for green fodder, grain haylage and grain. Today pea-oat-sunflower mixture, unlike corn for silage, is a resource-saving, low-cost and multicomponent mixture. After harvesting these crops, the crop rotation is compacted by buckwheat crops for grain. With such a sparing use of land resources, the high self-cleaning ability of these mixtures and buckwheat reduces the cost and increases the productivity of arable land. An increase in soil fertility is achieved by introducing green manure crops (winter and spring rapeseed, oilseed radish, white mustard, winter rye, etc.), which, when plowing, improve the soil structure (structural coefficient up to 3), boost the humus content in the soil by 0.02 – 0.05%, neutralize the acidity of the soil environment (up to pH = 5.5 – 6,7), clean the soil from excess nitrates, heavy metals, pesticide residues, etc., and enhance the yield by 15-20%.

THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SYSTEM SUSTAINABLE LAND USE AS A KEY FACTOR OF EFFECTIVE LAND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT IN THE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES

The article examines the issue of the formation of a system of sustainable land use as a key factor in the effective management of land resources in the management system of agricultural enterprises of Ukraine. Four groups of interrelated measures have been identified to improve the system of sustainable land use, in particular, improving the state of land resources of agricultural enterprises (fighting against erosion, organic fertilizers, various types of land reclamation, etc.); limiting the influence of non-agricultural industries, reducing the withdrawal of land from agricultural turnover, compensation of losses from non-agricultural users, reduction of pollution of land resources; use of vacant land suitable for agricultural purposes; rationalization of the use of the land fund from the point of view of the final results of agricultural production. It is emphasized that the most important measure for the establishment of a system of sustainable land use, a mechanism for managing land resources in the management system of agrarian enterprises is the transition to the principles of adaptive landscape farming, which is a system of forming land relations that provide for the rationalization and harmonization of the interaction of the natural components of the landscape and the activities of agrarian enterprises in the conditions of modern agro-industrial production. It was established that the transformation of land relations in accordance with the principles of adaptive landscape organization of territories means, first of all, the optimal ratio of agricultural land. Adaptive landscape farming involves: agro-ecological land typification by resources and limiting factors of soil fertility, heat, moisture, development potential of degradation processes; functional-purpose land typification with optimization of the ratio of land and the structure of cultivated areas; formation of the environmental protection infrastructure of the agricultural landscape; clarifying the specialization of the economy and the scheme of placing crop rotations on the territory on the basis of a comprehensive analysis of natural and economic resources and the efficiency of their use.

ANALYSIS OF THE CURRENT STATE OF ORGANIZATION OF LAND USE MANAGEMENT IN AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES

The subject of the research is to study the current state of organization of land use management in agricultural enterprises. Methodology. In the course of the study, general scientific methods were used, in particular, theoretical generalization; methods of analysis and synthesis and statistical analysis, the method of SWOT-analysis of opportunities and threats was applied, and the graphical method was used to visualize the results of the study. The aim of the article is to analyze the current state of organization of land use management in agricultural enterprises. Conclusions of the study. Thus, having systematized the factors that determine the peculiarities of the organization of land management in agricultural enterprises, three groups were identified: natural-climatic and geographical, organizational-economic, agrotechnical and agrochemical. Based on the SWOT analysis of land resources as an object of management, it is determined that the purpose of land resources management of agricultural enterprises is to ensure the efficient use of land as the main factor of agricultural production in the long term on the basis of reproduction of productive land and increase the sustainability of agricultural landscapes, taking into account the balance of public and private interests. It should be noted that all subjects of land relations have the opportunity to minimize the negative consequences caused by the manifestation of weaknesses of land resources identified on the basis of SWOT analysis. First of all, such opportunities are related to the increase of state support for agriculture and rural development; strengthening of state control over the targeted use of agricultural land and its reproduction; improvement of the financial condition of agricultural enterprises and intensification of their innovation activities; development of adaptive landscape farming systems; appearance on the market of innovations in the form of new breeding-genetic, technical-technological and organizational-managerial solutions that ensure the preservation and improvement of the consumer qualities of productive lands, as well as the prevention of their degradation.

Optimized crop rotation schemes for the steppe zone of Republic of North Ossetiа — Аlania

Relevance. The most important condition for the growth of crop production is the correct use of arable land, the improvement of the structure of areas under crops and the optimization of crop rotation schemes. The purpose of the work is to optimize crop rotation schemes for the steppe zone of Republic of North Ossetiа — Аlania. The novelty lies in the fact that for the first time for the natural conditions of the steppe zone of Republic of North Ossetiа —Alania the schemes of soil-protective crop rotations of a new type were optimized in order to increase soil fertility, ecological balance and productivity of agricultural landscapes.Methodology. The research was carried out on the basis of scientific principles and approaches set out in the methodological guidelines: "Agroecological land assessment, design of adaptive-landscape farming systems and agricultural technologies" (2005), "Methodology for designing the basic elements of an adaptive-landscape farming system" (2010) and "Methodology for optimizing crop rotations and patterns of arable land use” (2004).Results. For more efficient use of arable land, increasing crop yields, meeting the needs of farms with crop products and improving soil fertility, improved crop rotations are proposed. In the developed structure, winter crops should account for 42%, corn for grain — 13%, millet — 1%, peas — 3%, soybeans — 4%, sunflower — 8%, potatoes — 0.5%, fodder root crops — 1%, vegetables — 3%, corn for silage — 4%, annual grasses — 1.5%, perennial grasses — 3%, winter rapeseed — 7%, flax — 3%, mustard — 2%, pure fallows — 4%. Optimization of the structure of sown areas and crop rotations developed on its basis will make it possible to grow intermediate crops on 30–50% of arable land, provide farms in the steppe zone of Republic of North Ossetiа — Аlania with high-quality and balanced fodder and a longer operation of the "green conveyor". Optimized crop rotation schemes for the steppe zone of Republic of North Ossetiа — Аlania provide a reduction in degradation processes, increase soil fertility and crop productivity by 12–15%.

Solutions for the Spatial Organization of Cropland with Increased Erosion Risk at the Regional Level: A Case Study of Belgorod Oblast, European Russia

Among the reasons for soil degradation, runoff-induced erosion causes the greatest damage to agriculture in European Russia. One of the effective tools for regulating soil erosion is changing the structure of sown areas and the composition of crops with a focus on soil conservation and rehabilitation land use. The aim of this paper is to present the results of the impact of the program on river-basin nature management and the adaptive landscape agriculture system (ALAS) on changes in soil losses due to storm erosion in one of the agriculturally most developed and, at the same time, most eroded administrative regions of European Russia—Belgorod Oblast. In this study, the calculation of potential soil washout was carried out for three cropland models: (1) The maximum erosion potential of the territory, expressed in terms of soil washout from bare (clean) fallow areas; (2) soil washout, considering the actual structure of sown areas over the past 10 years; and (3) soil washout, considering the full implementation of projects for the erosion-control organization of cropland within the framework of ALAS. The calculation of erosion-induced soil losses was carried out according to the USLE model adapted to regional environmental conditions, while the C-factor values were set separately for each model. For model 1, the average soil loss is 11.3 t/ha per year; for model 2, it is 3.5 t/ha per year; and for model 3, it is 2.2 t/ha per year. It was found that the current programs for the biologization of agriculture and the contour-reclamation organization of cropland would have a noticeable erosion-control effect. It is noteworthy that the greatest efficiency was modeled for areas with unfavorable relief conditions, with up to 40% reduction in soil losses as compared to actual ones.

Land monitoring materials as a basis for compiling a land survey project

The article considers aspects of land monitoring as a basis for drawing up a land management project. It was determined that the development and mastering of systems of adaptive landscape farming is a sustainable reproduction of resources and the environment in the technological cycle of obtaining products of the required quantity and quality. In this context, one of the most important tasks is the formation of ecologically balanced agricultural landscapes, highly productive agroecosystems based on knowledge of the laws and regularities of the functioning of natural systems, taking into account the resource potential of lands and more in-depth adaptation of technological influences. It is suggested that the united territorial communities resolve the issue of providing their divisions with qualified personnel who will be able to ensure the local development of the territorial community on the basis of ecological and economic balanced use of natural resource potential. The proposed approach will make it possible to make assessments and analyzes of the actual and predictive state of land resources, will allow to choose directions that require priority decisions to be made to neutralize negative phenomena, to mitigate already developed negative processes and to carry out preventive measures where adverse factors have not yet made harmful influence, which, accordingly, will ensure the rational use of land and its preservation for the next generation.

Information basis for designing an adaptive landscape farming system on radioactively contaminated agricultural lands of Plavsky District, Tula Region

The article presents the results of creating a basis for designing a system of adaptive landscape farming on radioactively contaminated agricultural lands of the Plavsky district of the Tula region. To provide information support for the design of the system, an assessment of the current state of these territories was carried out, the characteristics of the radioecological state of lands, relief and agrochemical indicators of soils are given. The resulting information was collected into an attributive database.
 Since the collected information has a spatial reference, it was decided to use geographic information systems for its processing and visualization. In the course of the work, the structure of the ecological-agronomic GIS was developed. The selection and digitization of the basic cartographic material was carried out with the specification of the coordinates of the main boundaries. The created GIS will provide information and analytical support in the design of an adaptive landscape farming system in the studied territories.
