HIGHER ORDER THINKING AND CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS OF STUDENTS ON PLANT TISSUE

This research aims to know students' higher order thinking and critical thinking skills on plant tissue topics. The research was conducted in senior high school grade XI Science of SMAN 2 Kisaran, and the sample was taken by random sampling. The kind of this research is descriptive quantitative. The number of each test, higher-order thinking skills test, and a critical thinking skills test are 30 items. The research results are that the students' higher-order thinking skills of plant tissue topic are at moderate categories. The achievement of students' higher-order thinking skills is at a good level because the value of the higher-order thinking achievement of students in class XI is about 60-69%. The student's critical thinking skills of plant tissue topic is still in less categories. Students' critical thinking skills in this school are at less level because the value of students' higher-order thinking achievement in class XI is about 50-59%.

Pengaruh Profesionalisme Guru Terhadap Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Kelas X Di Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 02 Pondok Modern Paciran Lamongan

This study aims to identify teacher professionalism towards the improvement of student achievement in class X at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 02 Pondok Modern PaciranLamongan. The hypothesis proposed is "there is an effect of teacher professionalism on the improvement of student achievement in class X students at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 02 Pondok Modern PaciranLamongan". To test the correctness of the instrument hypothesis in the form of a questionnaire distributed to 10 professional teachers and 30 class X students, the proposed analysis model is Karl Pearson Product Moment Correlation at a significance level of a = 0.05 for hypothesis I and the Coefficient Determinations formula for hypothesis II. From theanalysis it is known that the Professionalism of Class X Student Teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 02 Pondok Modern PaciranLamongan is in the "good enough" category. This is evidenced by the response of the largest respondents at intervals of 21-30 as many as 3 respondents (60%), and the increase in student achievement of Class X students at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 02 Pondok Modern PaciranLamongan in the "good enough" category.This conclusion is evidenced by the responses of the largest respondents at the interval 21-30, namely 16 respondents (53.3%). While the results of the latest research state that teacher professionalism has a positive effect on the improvement of student achievement in class X class students at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 02 Pondok Modern PaciranLamongan. This is evidenced by the calculated r value (0.610)> r table (0.334) at the significant level a = 0.05.Thus it can be concluded that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) I which the author proposes says "there is a significant effect of Teacher Professionalism on the Improvement of Class X Student Achievement at Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah 02 Pondok Modern PaciranLamongan", is proven true or "accepted". While the magnitude of the influence of Teacher Professionalism on the Improvement of Student Achievement in Class X is less than 0.50 (50%), which is 0.3721 (37.21%), although less than 50% of the second hypothesis that the author proposes is proven tobe true or "accepted" .

MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MELALUI PENGGUNAAN TEKNIK JIGSAW

This study aims (1) to improve student achievement in class A semester VI Christian Religious Education Study Program Manado State Christian Religion Institute through cooperative learning with jigsaw techniques, (2) to increase interest and motivation to learn students in class A semester VI Education Study Program Christian Religion Institute of Manado State Christian Religion through cooperative learning with jigsaw techniques. This research is classroom action research. Total population of 145 people and a sample of 14 people. The research data were obtained from test scores on pre-cycle, cycle 1, cycle 2 and questionnaire. The results showed that cooperative learning with jigsaw techniques can significantly improve achievement, interest and motivation of students in class A semester VI of the IAKN Manado Christian Religious Education Study Program. The percentage of the number of students who obtained a minimum passing grade achievement increased from 60% in the pre-cycle to 80% in cycle 1, and to 90% in cycle II. Students' interest and learning motivation increases, from 70% in cycle 1 to 90% in cycle 2.

Meningkatkan Keterampilan Menulis Karangan Sederhana Melalui Gambar Seri Pada Siswa Kelas III SD Inpres Onekore 6 Kecamatan Ende Tengah Tahun Pelajaan 2017/2018

The study aimed at finding out the improvement of students’ writing skill in class III, Semester II SDN Montong Baan, academic year 2017/2018. Each cycle consists of four steps, namely are planning, executing, observing/evaluating, and reflecting. The method used is observation, questioner/test, and documentation. The result of the study shows that the achievement of Students in class III, Semester II SD Inpres Onekore 6, academic year 2017/2018 in learning bahasa Indonesia on writing a simple essay based on the serial pictures before the execution phase is very low. It is showed by the achievement of 57,92. After the execution of using serial pictures, the student achievement is better. It is showed in cycle 1, the result increases 67,78 with good category. In cycle 2, the result increases to 78,33% with good category.

The Effect of Self-Efficacy and Learning Achievement of Students in the Class of 2016/2017 at Borobudur University, Jakarta


 
 
 The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a significant correlation between self-efficacy and student achievement. This study uses a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were 135 active undergraduate students of the Borobudur University class of 2016/2017 in the faculties of science and humanities. This study used proportionate stratified random sampling so that 73 students from the faculty of science were obtained and 57 students in the humanities field were obtained. The data analysis method in this research is linear regression. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of self-efficacy on student achievement in class 2016/2017 at Borobudur University. The regression model test shows (Sig 0.00 <0.05), with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.272 and 0.293 in the exact sciences and humanities faculty, this shows that there is a mutual relationship between the self-efficacy variables and learning achievement in the low category. The coefficient of determination (R Square) in the faculty of science and humanities students is 0.074 and 0.086. It means that only 7.4% and 8.6% of the variation in learning achievement can be explained by the self-efficacy variable, and the rest is influenced by other factors.

APPLICATION OF THE MODEL INQUIRY LEARNING FOR EFFORTS TO IMPROVE ENGLISH LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT (A Case Study in Class XII IPA-3 MAN 2 Students in Odd Semester Academic Year 2019/2020)

This research is intended to describe the Inquiry Learning (IL) Model in order to improve students' English learning achievement. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an increase in the English learning achievement of students in class XII IPA-3 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Pati, in the Odd Semester of the 2019/2020 Academic Year. The research subjects were 36 students of class XII IPA-3 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Pati. The research variables consisted of student variables (students' ability to solve questions) and teacher variables (planning and implementing learning by teachers in the classroom). The research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of four stages, namely: planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. Success indicators are determined when at least 75% of students achieve learning completeness after the Inquiry Learning (IL) Model is applied. From the research results, it was found that there was an increase in students' English learning achievement as indicated by: (1) the average student achievement in cycle I was 7.29, cycle II was 7.49 and cycle III cycle III was 8.81 ; (2) in the first cycle there were 22 students or 61.11% who completed the study; and those who did not complete were 14 students or 38.89%; in cycle II there were 26 students or 72.22% complete learning; and students who did not complete there were 10 students or 27.78%; and in cycle III there are 36 students or 100% complete learning; and there are no students who do not complete; and (3) completeness of classical learning in the first cycle is 61.11%; in cycle II classical completeness became 72.22%; while in cycle III it reached 100.00%. This means that the competency test / evaluation results in cycle I, cycle II and cycle III always increase. There is an increase in student activity during the learning process, both individually and in groups. Student response to the implementation of the Inquiry Learning (IL) Model is 85.22% (strongly agree or in the very high category.

APPLICATION OF HOMEROOM GUIDANCE METHODS IN IMPROVING STUDENT'S LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT

The research objective was to monitored the implementation of home guidance in improving student achievement in class VIII at State Junior High School 3 Tondano. This research was a counseling action research with four stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were seven people who had low learning achievement. Data were collected by using two methods of observation and interviews. Data analysis used qualitative data analysis, data reduction, data display, and data collection. The results showed that the homeroom method could improve student achievement with two cycles of application time.

Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Matematika dengan Menggunakan Metode Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe TGT (Team Games Tournament) Pada Siswa Kelas VII Negeri 4 Siborongborong

The purpose of this article was to determine the effect of cooperative learning TGT (Team Games Tournament) in learning outcomes of Mathematics material numbers for the seventh grade students of State of Junior High School (SMPN) 4 Siborongborong, to find out how the high students’ learning achievement by applying TGT type cooperative learning method. This research used classroom action research as much as three cycles. Each round consists of four stages, namely design, activity and observation, reflection, and refinement. The targets of this research were students of class VII SMPN 4 Siborongborong, Siborongborong District. The data obtained in the form of formative test results, observation sheets of teaching and learning activities. The result found that the student achievement increased from cycle I up to cycle III namely, cycle I (66.67%), cycle II (79.17%), cycle III (91.67%). The conclusion of this study was the cooperative method of the TGT model have a positive effect on student achievement in class VII SMPN 4 Siborongborong and it’s learning model can be used as an alternative to mathematics learning.

Strategi Guru BK dalam Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Kelas IX di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Kota Binjai

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the strategy of BK teachers in improving student learning achievement in class IX MAN 1 Binjai City. The method used in this research is qualitative. The subjects of this study were BK teachers who had performed services that discussed improving student learning achievement. The instrument used was interviews that were collected and collected data related to research. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that the learning achievement of IX grade 1 MAN Binjai City is already quite good, there are only a few students who still have low learning achievement. The cause is the problem of students 'self-awareness for learning and students' inability to use several subjects. Guidance and Counseling Teacher strategies in improving student achievement in class IX MAN 1 Binjai City is a place to find students and fun that makes schools easier for BK teachers to find out which helps students. Next, a discussion and analysis of needs / students is carried out, then a program is compiled in the form of an RPL (Service Implementation Plan), then service implementation. Finally given an assessment or evaluation that is useful to know where an activity has been obtained and how the benefits have been done before. The inhibiting factors in the implementation of the guidance and counseling strategy in class IX MAN 1 Binjai City are lack of service delivery time, parents who are less supportive of service activities, and students who have no self-awareness to learn and no one wants to be changed.<br />Keywords: BK Teacher Strategy In Improving Student Learning Achievement

STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI DALAM MENGATASI KESULITAN BELAJAR SISWA DI MADRASAH

This study aims to understand the inquiry learning strategy in overcoming the learning difficulties of class IX students at MTs Mabadius Shaleh, Mlandingan, Situbondo. Application of Inquiry provides an alternative solution for teachers in creating interesting and fun learning environments. This research uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study. The technique of collecting data is done through interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the application of the inquiry method at Mabadius Shaleh MTs, Mlandingan Situbondo had a very big impact in overcoming child learning difficulties. Students who are initially less active and have difficulty understanding the material, they are able to understand the material taught by the teacher well through inquiry learning. This is indicated by an increase in motivation and student achievement in class IX.

Hubungan Antara Tingkat Kepercayaan Diri Dengan Prestasi Belajar Pendidikan Jasmani

This study aims to examine the level of confidence relationship with physical education learning achievement in elementary schools in the Tawang sub-district, Tasikmalaya City. The research method uses descriptive-correlational. The sample in this study is the sixth-grade students selected representing several schools in the District of Tawang as many as 60 students employing a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a confidential questionnaire. Data processing procedures to obtain answers about whether or not the hypothesis is accepted following the proposed significance are: (1) looking for averages, (2) looking for standard deviations, (3) testing normality through the Lillefors test (4) testing the correlation of two variables. Based on the results of research and statistical calculations on hypothesis testing the relationship of the level of confidence with physical education learning achievement, the authors can conclude as follows; there is a significant relationship between self-confidence and student achievement in class VI in Tawang District, Tasikmalaya City. Because the significance value obtained is greater than 0.05, and the value of Yxy (0.90)> (0.250) rtable (0.05) (60) then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so there is a significant relationship between self-confidence and achievement learning (significant).

Application of Active Learning Model using Go_Drill Method as An Efforts to Increase Student Achievement of Class VII Students of Informatics Learning on Computational Thinking Materials

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the active learning model with the Go_Drill method as an effort to improve student achievement in class VII students of Informatics subject matter in computational thinking in SMP Negeri 5 Karanganyar and to improve student learning outcomes in class VII in Informatics subject matter Computational thinking in SMP Negeri 5 Karanganyar. The research used in this research is the term classroom action research in English is Classroom Action Research. Classroom action research is research conducted by teachers in their classrooms through self-reflection in order to improve their performance so that students' learning outcomes improve. This class action research is an examination of learning activities in the form of an action, which is deliberately raised and occurs in a class together. This study concluded that the application of active learning using the Go_Drill method (exercise) in completing computational thinking material making brochures with Microsoft word applications in accordance with the learning steps using the Go_Drill method (exercise) that has been applied in the learning scenario. by using the Go_Drill (exercise) method in active learning in informatics learning it turns out that it can improve the learning outcomes of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 5 Karanganyar. This is indicated in the increase in the final results of the activity of students in each cycle, namely the percentage of percentage of 58.75%, with an average of 47.06 learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the percentage of students' activeness was 75%, the average learning outcome was 70.59. In cycle II the percentage of students' activeness was 81.25%, the average learning outcome was 85.29

PENGARUH EVALUASI ULANGAN HARIAN TERHADAP PENINGKATAN PRESTASI BELAJAR EKONOMI SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 3 PEMATANGSIANTAR

This study aims to determine the effect of providing daily test evaluation on the improvement of student achievement in economy class X SMA NEGERI 3 Pematangsiantar.The population of this research was all class X as many as 344 people. Samples were taken as many as 86 people, the research was conducted at SMA NEGERI 3 Pematangsiantar.The instrument used to collect data on the provision of daily test evaluations was a questionnaire compiled by the researcher, while the economic learning achievement data were obtained through a list of value sets. The quality of the research instrument was carried out by testing the validity and reliability.By using the normality test, the data for the provision of daily test evaluations were normally distributed. While the linear regression equation is Y = a + bX, so the regression of learning achievement (Y) on the provision of daily test evaluation (X) is Y = 50.43 + 0.38X.For analysis accuracy used regression linearity test and using a list of variances (ANOVA) through the F test, it turns out that Y does not need to look for a non-linear model.To determine whether the relationship between variables is close or not, the correlation coefficient test is used as follows: The correlation of providing daily test evaluation with student achievement is 0.359 and the coefficient of determination of Y on X is 0.1288 or 12.88%.Based on hypothesis testing, it is obtained that Fcountis greaterthan Ftable(12.44> 3.96). Thus H0is rejected and H1is accepted. This means that there is a significant effect of providing daily test evaluations on the improvement of student achievement in class X SMA NEGERI 3 PematangsiantarKeywords: Daily Test, Learning Evaluation, Learning Achievement

The Effect Of Parental Education Level Towards Student Biology Learning Achievement

Learning achievement is very important because, through achievement, the success of the teaching and learning process achieved by students can be seen. Learning outcomes and achievements obtained by children can not be separated from the role of parents, ranging from how to accompany while studying to use their knowledge to be transmitted to their children. The level of parental education is closely related to and it influences student learning outcomes and achievement. This study aims to study the effect of parental education on biology student achievement in class XI MIA in the South Konawe Regency. This type of research is correlational The population of this research is the XI MIA grade students of South Konawe District High Schools. The sample of this study was 221 students of class XI MIA. The research instrument used a questionnaire regarding the level of parental past education while learning achievement was obtained through the results of midterm tests of biology subjects. The analysis technique used regression analysis techniques. Based on the analysis results obtained a significant value (Sig.) 0.33> (α) 0.05. It can be concluded that the level of parental education (X) does not have a significant effect on student biology learning achievement (Y). Keywords: Parental Education, Learning Achievement

Effect of Application Cooperative Learning Model of Think-Pair-share (TPS) and Means –End Analysis (MEA) Types on Students Learning Outcomes of Tenth Grade on Redox Material at SMA Negeri 7 Palu

This study aimed to analyze the effect of the application of the Think-pairs-Share and Means- Ends Analysis learning Achievement of a student on reduction-oxidation in class X at SMAN 7 Palu. This study was a ween experiment with a static group pretest-posttest design. This study was carried out by holding two groups of class X Science 1 as the experimental one group (n = 25) and class X science 2 as the experimental two groups (n = 28). Results of the data analysis showed the average value (X2) of the experimental one class was 68.56 with a standard deviation of 16.97 dan (X2) of the experimental two class was 56.14 with a standard deviation of 13.12. Based on the hypothesis test results with t-test statistical of two parties obtained –ttable ≤ tcount ≥ + ttable (tcount = 1.89 and ttable = 1.67) with a significance level of α= 0.05 and degrees of freedom of 51, then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that there was an effect of the application of the think-pairs–share and means-ends analysis learning model toward learning achievement of students in class X at SMAN 7 Palu on reduction-oxidation.

Learning Model on Islamic Religious Education in Improving Student Motivation Andachievement

This study aims to assess the shape and Effectiveness of Active Learning model implementation in the field of Islamic religious education studies in improving student achievement motivation and Islamic Elementary School fifth grade Athirah Makassar.This study is a class action (Classroom Action Research) with the kind of collaborative. This research phase follows the model developed by Kemmis and Taggart, namely in the form of a spiral cycleincludes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Technique-­data collection techniques used are: (1) observation; (2) interview; (3) documentation, and (4) achievement test. Based on the research that has been conducted argued that the application of active learning can increase learning motivation and achievement of students in class V (Al-Mu'min) Islamic Primary School Athirah Makassar on fieldIslamic religious education studies. From the data in the field shows that there is increased motivation of learners whothe original value of the average pre-cycle increased to 69.13 or 63.56 increased by about 5.57% in the first cycle, the second cycle increased to 80.41 or about 16.84%. And in Cycle III are improved Becoming 91.55% or approximately 27.96%. With the increased motivation of learners, then their learning achievement also increased, which had an average value of 63.56 pre-cycle increased to 69.13 or about 5.75% in the first cycle, the second cycle increased to 81, an increase of approximately 17.44%, and in cycle III are improved Becoming 84.63% or approximately 21.7% of the pre-cycle to the third cycle. Active Learners research Based on the results it was concluded that very effective in increasing motivation and learning achievement of students in the field of Islamic religious education studies.

The Impact Of Blended Learning Method Employing Google Classroom On The Improvement Of Student Learning Achievement On The Topic Of Matrix In Class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta

This research aims (1) to explain the process of mixed learning model application using google google classroom to increase student achievement in class XI IPS 1 di SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta and (2) to improve learning achievement of students in class XI IPS 1 di SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta by employing mixed learning model with google classroom. The research is a class action research in which research subjects are 24 students in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta. Students achievement is collected through observation process and learning result test. Data is analyzed qualitatively to portrait the improvement of student performance in each cycle. The data on the completeness of learning resul is analyzed based on Minimal score (KKM). The total percentage of completeness is also calculated. The research findings demonstrate that (1) the application process of mixed learning model employing google classroom consists of three phases, namely designing the research, the implementation of class action research and evaluation of the whole process. The last phase is also called reflection in which teacher thinks about all steps of research and formulate some actions to improve shortcomings of the research. (2) The impact of mixed learning method using google class room on student achievement is positive. Student achievement has been improved as demonstrated by learning result test in each cycle. The total percentage of completeness of student is 83 %.

Kontribusi Kompetensi Pedagogik dan Kompetensi Profesional Guru Biologi Terhadap Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Biologi Siswa kelas XSMA Se-Kecamatan Kota Soe, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui kontribusi kompetensi pedagogic dan kompetensi professional guru biologi terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar biologi siswa kelas X SMA Se-kecamatan kota Soe kabupaten timor tengah selatan, sampel yang di gunakan adalah 12 guru dengan krteria berstatus pegawai negeri sipil, berpengalam mengajar dan bersertifikasi pendidik dari 6 sekolah dengan jumlah siswa persekolah adalah 60 siswa dalam 2 kelas paralel.
 Metode yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan analisis linear berganda menggunakan uji F, Uji t dan menghitungkoefisien determinasi simultan (R2), yang diolah menggunakan aplikasi SPSS for windos16.0. Teknik penggumpulan data menggunakan angket guru dan tes untuk siswa agar mendapatkan data primer.
 Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kontribusi kompetensi pedagogik guru biologi pada korelasi parsial pertama dengan uji t menunjukan nilai sig. 0,007 < 0,05, artinya kompetensi pedagogik (X1) konstan atau berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar (Y), dan kompetensi profesional guru biologi pada hasil korelasi parsial kedua dengan uji t menunjukan nilai sig. 0,009 < 0,05 artinya kompetensi profesional (X2) konstan, atau berpengaruh pada prestasi belajar (Y), sehingga besar pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik dan kompetensi profesional guru biologi secara bersama-sama adalah sebesar 70% sisanya 30% adalah faktor lain yang tidak diteliti oleh peneliti.

Influence of Motivation to Learn, Learn Discipline, Learning Style, and Facilities Study of Achievement Class X Smk in Jakarta

This study aims to determine whether there is influence between Learning Motivation, Discipline Learning, Learning Styles and Learning Facilities Against Student Achievement Class X SMK in Jakarta. This research was conducted for 3 months starting in April to June 2019. The research method used is quantitative research methods. The population in this study were students of SMK in Indonesia, both from class X, XI, and XII. Data collection techniques used by researchers in this study is by spreading the questionnaire or questionnaires. Of the 195 questionnaires filled targets, there are 200 questionnaires were received. Of the 200 accepted, 200 can be processed. The data in this study using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) version 22 using validity, reliability test, normality test, classic assumption test, multiple regression equation, hypothesis testing and coefficient of determination. The results showed that the variables of learning motivation and learning discipline has no effect on student achievement in class X SMK in Jakarta, while variable learning styles and learning facilities have an influence on student achievement in class X SMK in Jakarta, and there are significant collectively equal and significant correlation between learning motivation, learning discipline, learning styles, and learning facilities on student achievement in class X SMK in Jakarta.
