Building the Profile of Pancasila Students through Adit Sopo Jarwo Animation Series

The Pancasila Student Profile is a program within the Merdeka Curriculum aimed at enhancing the quality of education through character education aligned with Pancasila as the state ideology and the foundation of the nation's soul. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile within the Merdeka Curriculum. The results indicate that creative content can serve as an effective medium for reinforcing the Pancasila Student Profile. The primary objectives of the Pancasila Student Profile are to uphold the noble values and morals of the nation, prepare students to become inclusive global citizens, achieve social justice, and develop 21st-century competencies. Various methods can be employed to introduce the six Pancasila Learner Profiles. Besides providing direct examples in daily life, the reinforcement of the Pancasila Student Profile can also be achieved through creative content and animated series. One example of an animated series created by Indonesian youth that can be used to strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile is "Adit Sopo Jarwo." This series depicts the adventures of a boy named Adit, who consistently demonstrates behavior in line with Pancasila values in his activities. Through this series, children can learn the importance of embodying a character consistent with Pancasila.

Literature Study of The Application of The Inquiry Learning Model Towards 21st Century Skills in Physics Subjects in High School

In the 21st century as the century of industrial revolution 4.0. demands that all components in the school, starting from the principal, teachers, education staff and students, be directed to develop their competencies on an ongoing basis. Innovation is the most important key in the industrial era 4.0 which requires educators to form their students with 21st century competencies, namely being able to think critically, creatively, collaboratively and communicatively. This research aims to determine the effect of the inquiry-based learning model on improving students’ 21st century skills in physics subjects in high school. In the current era, learning is no longer just monotonous learning but prioritizes 21st century skills, namely critical thinking skills, creative skills, communication skills and collaboration skills. This research is library research whose data comes from library sources, namely library research. This article was written using a comparative study method and content analysis. Comparative literature studies are carried out by examining bold primary literature, such as journals, research reports, activity reports, books, magazines, news media, and other sources that meet validity and reputation standards. Analysis carried out on relevant articles proves that the application of inquiry has a positive impact on student learning activities. It is known from the results of this literature study that the application of the inquiry learning model in teaching and learning activities has a positive influence on students’ 21st century skills in physics subjects in high school, namely critical thinking skills, creative skills, communication skills and collaboration skills.

Analisis Keberhasilan Implementasi Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek dalam Pembelajaran Matematika Tingkat Perguruan Tinggi

This study aims to analyse the successful implementation of project-based learning model in mathematics learning at university level. Literature studies and field observations were conducted to evaluate the implementation of project-based learning models in several higher education institutions. The results showed that the implementation of project-based learning model in mathematics learning in higher education has positive impacts, among others: 1) increasing students‘ active involvement and motivation in the learning process, 2) developing mathematical competence, critical thinking skills, and other 21st century skills, 3) encouraging meaningful and contextualised learning, and 4) improving students’ collaboration and communication skills. However, there are some challenges in its implementation, such as: lecturer readiness, resource availability, and curriculum adjustment. The implication of the results of this study is the need for innovative mathematics curriculum development, increased lecturer competence, and adequate institutional support to optimise the implementation of project-based learning in higher education. This study provides valuable insights for mathematics education practitioners in designing and implementing student-centred learning oriented towards the development of 21st century competencies.

EQUIPPING STUDENTS FOR A DYNAMIC FUTURE

The ever-changing landscape of the 21st century requires a shift in educational focus beyond traditional subject knowledge. This paper explores key considerations for designing effective curricula, emphasising the crucial role of basic skills and 21st-century competencies, fostering a lifelong learning mindset, and preparing students for an increasingly interconnected world. Building strong literacy, numeracy, and digital skills is the foundation for communicating effectively, thinking critically, and navigating the digital world. Developing key 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication will enable students to tackle complex challenges, work effectively in teams, and express themselves clearly. Encouraging creativity, innovation, and adaptability enables students to think outside the box, embrace new ideas, and thrive in an unpredictable future. Fostering a growth mindset and self-directed learning skills empowers them for lifelong learning and continuous skill development. While subject-specific knowledge remains valuable, this paper emphasises the need for a holistic approach that integrates these essential skills and mindsets. In addition,recognizing the importance of social-emotional learning and global citizenship highlights the need to prepare well-rounded individuals for success in an interconnected world. This includes understanding diverse cultures, promoting responsible global citizenship, and encouraging sustainable practices. By incorporating these elements into curriculum design, we can equip students with the skills and attitudes necessary to navigate the complexities of the future, become responsible, engaged, and lifelong learners, and contribute meaningfully to a globalised society.

Exploring the Relationship Between Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous Learning, and Skills Required for Success in The 21st Century

Objective: The topic of this study focuses on how autonomous learning enhances 21st century competencies through the use of artificial intelligence and educational technologies. The objective is to explore the relationship between autonomous learning, artificial intelligence and 21st century competencies. Theoretical Framework: The main concepts and theories underpinning the research were: artificial intelligence in education, autonomous learning and 21st century skills. Method: The methodology adopted for this research was a systematic mapping of 991 scientific articles published in the last ten years in three databases Results and Discussion: The results obtained revealed that artificial intelligence is still in its infancy in the use of data and machine learning systems, until its impact on society as a whole is better understood. Likewise, critical thinking, collaborative work and problem solving are the competencies that show a strong relationship with both autonomous learning and artificial intelligence. Research implications: the main fields of study were: self-regulated learning, 21st century competencies and their relationship with artificial intelligence. The impact could be seen in the educational, economic, environmental and social sectors.

The Vedas and Hindu Susastra teach humanity to live in a superior way through a good work ethic. Work ethic is a very important basic value instilled in the Vedas. The Effectiveness of Online Learning as A Form of Critical Pedagogic Transformation: The Perceptions of ECCE Teachers and Parents

ABSTRACT: Regarding their competence, teachers must be able to improve their professional competence by utilizing technology and communication (ICT) by the demands of 21st-century competence. Furthermore, the nation's problems in the field of education and professionalism include several main problems that require more applicable and quality training for teachers and parents. This research aims to measure the perceptions of ECCE parents and teachers regarding the digital competence (use of technological devices and ability to access the internet) of online learning that they carry out, whether the learning is effective and able to measure children's competence or competence still needs to be improved to make it even better. The method that will be used in this research is quantitative research with a survey method in the form of a questionnaire. Participants are focused on ECCE teachers and parents who have early childhood children, especially kindergartens and elementary school grades 1 and 2 (aged 4 to 8 years). The results of the data analysis, of this research show that both parents and teachers feel face-to-face learning is more effective than online learning. This condition is supported by data that both parents and teachers feel obstacles and doubts that online learning can measure children's competence. Collaborative Skill Improvement Analysis in Real Laboratories Based on Discovery Learning for Undergraduate Physics Education Major

The 21st-century competencies are needed as provisions for college graduates to face the era of society 5.0. These competencies include creative thinking skills, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication. The research aims to illustrate the influence of discovery learning on students’ collaboration skills during real laboratory activities. Discovery learning was chosen because the implementation of practicum activities was carried out in a real laboratory because it requires all the students to play an active role and be able to collaborate in carrying out practicum activities. This type of study uses one pretest-posttest design group. The subject of this study was 30 first-year students from two different classes who took the Basic Physics Practicum II course at the Department of Physics Education, UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. The implementation of practicum activities is carried out offline so that cooperation and collaboration between groups can be seen. Aspects of the indicator include positive dependence between members, individual responsibilities, group cooperation, and face-to-face interaction. Research data was processed statiscally using the help of SPSS software version 25. Analysis of research results showed that student collaboration skills were complete and appropriate in all indicators. Based on the analysis, an average N-Gain score of 53.2% was obtained with the category being in the criteria for improving collaboration skills. Application of Multirepresentation-Based Creative Problem-Solving Learning Models to Improve Critical and Creative Thinking Skills for Students

The 21st-century competencies students need to have include creative thinking skills, critical thinking skills, literacy, and numeracy. These competencies can be developed in the learning process in class explicitly. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Multirepresentation Based Creative Problem-Solving (MBCPS) learning model in improving students’ critical and creative thinking skills. The MBCPS Model Syntax consists of four stages: 1) problem identification, 2) finding ideas, 3) evaluating ideas with multiple representations (verbal, visual, and mathematical), and 4) validating solutions. The MBCPS model was applied to the experimental group and the Problem-Solving (PS) learning model in the comparison group on four study programs, natural science education. culinary education, public health science, and nutrition science with material on the science of nutrition. The difference between before and after learning was tested by Mann-Whitney, and N-gain tested the effectiveness. The results showed that before learning, there was no difference in critical and creative thinking skills, with a p-value > 0.05 between the experimental group and the comparison group. After learning, there was a very significant difference (p < 0.05). Learning the MBCPS model can improve critical thinking skills with an N-gain of 0.72 (high category) and creative thinking skills with an N-gain of 0.67 (medium category). The MBCPS learning model can be implemented on a broader scale according to the characteristics of complex course material to develop models in the field of education.

Assessment of Student Attitudes in German Writing Learning Based on 21st Century Skills

Students' attitudes towards language learning have two sides, either motivating or even diminishing their learning enthusiasm. The main objectives of this research are first, to assess students' attitudes in learning descriptive writing in German language; second, to develop an attitude assessment model in writing based on 21st-century competencies. This research adopts an exploratory descriptive approach with a sample of 35 high school students. Data were collected through attitude assessment sheets referring to 21st-century educational competencies, namely critical thinking skills, creativity, communication, and collaboration. Data analysis involved categorizing assessment results using average scores from all respondents. The findings indicate a tendency that most students achieve a good level in critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration aspects in learning to write in German. However, there is still a small portion of students who reach a very good level, indicating a gap in students' abilities. The attitude assessment model developed in this research significantly contributes to teachers in measuring students' progress and helps prepare students to become critical, creative, and inspirational decision-makers in various learning situations and daily life. The use of this attitude assessment model shifts the learning paradigm from emphasizing outcomes to developing students' relevant skills for future demands.

Determinating the STEM Education Compentencies of Pre-Service Teachers

With solely academic knowledge, it appears challenging for today's students to find a place for themselves in the business world where they will operate in the future. Therefore, it is crucial to provide students with a variety of abilities, such as problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and analytical thinking, in addition to academic knowledge. The STEM education approach is one of the approaches that aims to equip students with the knowledge and abilities they need in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while also educating them as persons with 21st-century competencies. In this context, it is the teachers who will provide students with these knowledge and skills and apply STEM education. In this sense, it is thought that teachers' knowledge and competencies in STEM teaching are significant. In this study, it was aimed to determine the STEM teaching competencies of pre-service teachers studying in the last year of education faculties. The case study design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The study group of the research consists of 45 final year science and classroom teaching students studying at 21 different universities in Turkey. The data of the research was obtained by the "STEM Teaching Competencies Questionnaire" developed by the researchers. The obtained data were analyzed simultaneously by three different researchers using content analysis. During the analysis process, codes, categories and themes were created. As a result, it can be claimed that pre-service teachers have theoretical knowledge of STEM education, but they do not think of themselves as highly competent. Fit-For-Purpose Creativity Assessment: Automatic Scoring of the Test of Creative Thinking – Drawing Production (TCT-DP)

ABSTRACT Creativity is now universally recognized as an essential, 21st century competency. However, there are many practical barriers to the development of creativity in schools, universities and workplaces. Chief among these is a problem of the fitness-for-purpose of creativity assessments. Highly valid and reliable creativity tests, necessary to support the development of individual creativity, are typically slow and labor-intensive to administer and score. However, recent advances in machine learning are opening up solutions to the fitness-for-purpose problem, across a range of different modes (e.g. verbal and figural) of testing. This paper describes the development of an open-source, large, image-based, multi-label classification model capable of automatically scoring the figural Test of Creative Thinking – Drawing Production (TCT-DP) with accuracies comparable to those of typical human raters. The growth of this, and similar machine learning models, promises to transform the development of creativity in education, offering rapid, accurate and cost-effective assessments that can be seamlessly integrated into teaching and learning.

The Relationship between Science Teachers’ Self-Efficacy Perceptions towards 21st Century Skills and their STEM Attitudes

Students are expected to have 21st century skills and be STEM literate for successful future careers. Teachers who will include teaching practices to develop these skills should have these competencies. Therefore, it is important how teachers perceive 21st century competencies and STEM education or what kind of tendencies they have in this context. This study aims to examine science teachers’ self-efficacy perceptions towards 21st century skills and their STEM attitudes and to reveal the relationship between them. Fifty teachers working in a city in Turkey participated in the study in which the concurrent mixed methods research design was used. Scales of self-efficacy perceptions towards 21st century skills and STEM attitudes were used as data collection tools. Independent sample t-test, Mann Whitney U test (MWU), Kruskal Wallis-H test (KWH) and Spearman Correlation analysis were used in the analysis of the data. In the study, a significant and positive relationship was determined between teachers’ self-efficacy perceptions and their STEM attitudes. It was determined that teachers with self-efficacy perception had positive STEM attitudes. Qualitative data consisting of teachers’ opinions supports these findings. It was observed that while teachers’ gender and professional seniority did not make a difference in self-efficacy perceptions, STEM attitudes differed in favour of women according to gender, and there was no difference according to professional seniority.

Designing a Data Literacy-Based Speaking Skills Assessment Instrument for High School Students

This study aims to develop a data literacy-based speaking skill assessment instrument for students at the high school level. Currently, speaking skills are one of the 21st century competencies that must be developed. Students of the 21st century have demands to master both written and oral communication competencies. In addition, data literacy skills are one of the new literacies that students must master as a complement to communication skills. This research uses a research and development method with the Plomp model which consists of five phases, namely the initial investigation phase, design phase, realisation phase, test, evaluation, and revision phase, and implementation phase. Data collection techniques were conducted by interview, document analysis, and questionnaire. The participants of this research involved teachers, assessment experts, linguistic experts, and speaking skill experts. The results of expert validation of the developed speaking skills assessment instrument obtained good results with a very feasible category so that the speaking skills assessment instrument product is feasible to be used to assess students' presentation skills in presenting scientific work at the high school level.

Knowledge and Participation of Physical Education Teachers in the Official Sports Events

21st century teachers are expected to develop 21st century competencies in students in more diverse classrooms, while increasing the study of teaching and learning. Teachers must update their teaching techniques, adopt creative teaching methods, and mobilize multiple sources of information to achieve this goal. In this paper, 150 teachers from Guangdong University of Science and Technology (GUT), Guangdong Foreign Studies University (GUFS) and Guangdong Institute of Science and Technology (GDPST) were evaluated by using literature, expert interviews, questionnaire and mathematical statistics to evaluate their knowledge in physical education teaching, including their physical education teaching experience, contact with students and their knowledge The ability to integrate teaching technology. This will further determine the level of teachers' participation in official sporting events, including their willingness, athletic skills and the impact of participation. The main conclusions of the study are as follows:1. The sample used in the study was primarily composed of teachers that were aged 25-29 years old and were mostly female. Their teaching experience ranged from 10 years and above, making the sample have a large population of well-experienced educators. Lastly, during sports events, these teachers would mostly have the role of being officials when participating. 2.For teaching knowledge, the respondents showed to have agreeable positive responses in all fields of experience, engagement, and technology. Although, the knowledge on technology scored the highest, indicating that the respondents had more knowledge in using this when participating in sports events. 3.The assessments showed no significant relationship in the teachers’ knowledge in teaching sports when compared to the different demographic factors assessed. 4.For teachers’ participation in sports events, there was a fairly agreeable positive assessment for the overall analysis. Although when looking at the indicators individually, only the impacts from participation scored positively, making this a strong indicator in the teachers’ participation. On the other hand, willingness and skills scored poorly, indicating the need to improve these two areas.5. The assessments showed no significant relationship in the teachers’ participation in sports when compared to the different demographic factors assessed. 6.Lastly, a positive correlation was found only between the teachers’ engagement and the teachers’ impacts from participation, confirming that these two indicators are linked and affect one another in the study.

The relationship between students’ perception to the learning media, digital literacy skills, and self-regulated learning with students’ learning outcomes in the rural area

This study aims to determine the relationship between students’ perception to the learning media, digital literacy skills, and self-regulated learning with students’ cognitive learning outcomes in the rural area. This study was the ex post facto with quantitative data. The method used was differential causal comparative with multiple linear regression analysis. The three variables were measured using a questionnaire, cognitive learning outcomes was measured by test. The results showed that students’ perception to the learning media, digital literacy skills, and self-regulated learning on students' cognitive learning outcomes had a moderate simultaneous relationship. The findings also showed that the contribution of self-regulated leraning to the cognitive learning outcomes was the higher (71.42%). The contribution of the three variables to cognitive learning outcomes was 86.41%. Based on related facts, research recommendations can be expanded by measuring from several other rural areas and examining several other variables, especially those that support the learning process oriented towards empowering 21st century competencies by utilizing the latest technological developments and that can reach all regions of Indonesia, especially in rural areas so as to minimize the gap in the quality of education in Indonesia.

21st Century Teacher Competency: Towards Conceptualization of Islamic Culture in Islamic Schools

The present work explores 21st-century teachers' competency in conceptualizing Islamic culture in the MAN 1 Islamic senior high school in Gorontalo City. This descriptive qualitative research employed a descriptive phenomenology approach. All data were generated from observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were further analyzed in four steps: condensation, coding, categorization, and theory. According to the results, 21st-century religious education teachers should be capable of designing, organizing, directing, and supervising the cultivation of the practice of religious teachings in aspects of Islamic law. This aims to embody Islamic cultures, such as dress, religious traditions, and Islamic interaction. Meanwhile, the application of 21st-century skills in critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity has not been practiced by teachers and students. Conducting further research to reveal strategies for comprehensively realizing Islamic culture from various aspects is necessary. This is especially significant in identifying aspects of 21st-century manners aligned with the profile project of Rahmatan lil alamin (a mercy to all creation) and making religious teachings a key leadership competency in madrasas. Challenging 21st-Century Competencies for STEM Students: Companies’ Vision in Slovenia and Norway in the Light of Global Initiatives for Competencies Development

Rapid technological innovations are changing the jobs that Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) students are employed in after completing their education. Therefore, employers are looking for applicants with skills beyond the specialised professional competencies that can be acquired in the chosen subjects during formal education. Higher education institutions (HEIs) have an important role to play in this process, as they endeavour to equip graduates with the skills and knowledge for future jobs. Our study aims to identify the key competencies that Slovenian and Norwegian companies expect from graduates of selected STEM degree programmes in both countries. Based on these findings, the participating HEIs can tailor their degree programmes to the employability requirements of companies. This study first analysed European and international recommendations and initiatives relevant to skills development in STEM employment and education. We selected 30 key competencies and included them in the questionnaires in which companies’ human resources managers (HRMs) defined their attitudes towards employability skills in the future. We focused on companies employing graduates of the Ecotechnologies and Civil and Environmental Engineering programmes of the participating HEIs. The analysis of the results showed that companies in the two countries have different attitudes towards skills. Four competencies were identified as more important in both countries: (i) management and design of processes, technologies, and people’s work, (ii) adaptation to changes, (iii) ability to manage uncertainty, and (iv) innovation. Based on the analysis, we have developed a framework of ten employability skills for STEM students. In addition, this study provides the basis for operating a decision support system (DSS) to monitor the development of students’ competencies. The DSS is being developed as part of the RESPO-VI project supported by the Norway Grants to better match the skills of STEM students as future job seekers with the needs of potential employers. The study’s results will also help other formal and non-formal education adapt their curricula and thus reduce the employability skill gaps between current STEM education and future labour market needs.
