Research on Emotion Analysis Based on a Topic Emotion Fusion Model: The Case of the "Post-holiday Symptoms of Pharyngitis" Event on the Weibo Platform

[Objective] From early 2023 to 2024, multiple public health incidents related to "post-holiday pharyngitis" erupted in china, impacting public health and education among other areas. This study analyzes the data dissemination trends and the emotional development of these incidents. The insights are aimed at enhancing the government and disease control agencies' mechanisms for guiding and responding to such public sentiment incidents, thereby improving preparedness and response capabilities for potential future public health events. [Methods] The methodology employed involves using three instances of "post-holiday pharyngitis" events on the Weibo platform as data samples. The study applies the LDA model integrated with TD-IDF weighted Word2vec algorithm for thematic organization across different periods. The DUTIR sentiment dictionary is used to analyze public sentiment, and data visualization techniques are employed to present the thematic-emotional evolution within the incidents. [Results] The results suggest that the proposed thematic-emotional fusion model effectively extracts and analyzes the dissemination trends and emotional evolution of the event, providing actionable suggestions for government and public health agencies in managing such public sentiment incidents.

Analysis of the Chain-Mediated Effects of Narrative Care Skills and Evidence-Based Nursing Competencies between Clinical Nurse Core Competencies and Sense of Career Benefit

Background: To understand the current status of clinical nurses' narrative care skills and evidence-based nursing competence, and to explore their chain-mediated roles between nurses' core competence and sense of career benefit, so as to provide references for improving nurses' sense of career benefit and positively developing nursing teams. Methods: A general information questionnaire, narrative competence scale for healthcare professionals, evidence-based nursing competency scale, registered nurse core competency scale, and nurses' sense of career benefit questionnaire were used to survey 716 nurses, and the chain mediation model was constructed and tested. Results: The total evidence-based nursing competency score of clinical nurses was (65.53±9.17), which was at a moderate level. The total score of narrative care skills (113.57±18.52), the total score of nurses' core competence (179.15±33.37), and the total score of nurses' sense of career benefit (109.37±20.81) were in the middle level; narrative care skills and evidence-based nursing competence acted as chain mediators between nurses' core competence and their sense of career benefit, and the mediation effects were respectively 0.006, 0.014. Conclusion: Narrative care skills and evidence-based nursing competency were at intermediate level, and the chain mediating effect of narrative care skills and evidence-based nursing competency indirectly predicted nurses' sense of professional benefit. It is suggested that nursing leaders can carry out lectures and training courses to improve nurses' narrative care skills and evidence-based nursing competence, to promote nurses' sense of career identity and to create a good nurse-patient relationship, which will be conducive to the positive development of the nursing team in the modern healthcare environment.

The Cultural Characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine Based on History of Learning the Liver When Comparing with Western Medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is regarded as an esoteric and mystical entity, an entity of philosophy, or even an unscientific entity when compared with western medicine. Since TCM has a 5,000 plus year history and is coexisting with modern medicine in China, it is difficult to simply conclude what the cultural characteristics of TCM are. This work analyzed the histories of TCM and western medicine on learning the liver, then revealed the cultural characteristics and the possible development of TCM. The comparison of mythological origin, anatomic history, as well as the framework of medical theory suggest that TCM is far away from a clear-cut subject and awaits more exploration both in theory and in practice: It is a comprehensive system integrating knowledges from multiple fields from ancient China; it emphasizes theory development, with the terms and function of organ are far beyond the organ of itself; and, its basic theoretical framework evolved and has become sort of like universal rule that would not be subsequently falsified. According to the cultural characteristics of TCM, there are four possible future directions for the development of TCM and it will continue to coexist with modern medicine in China for another foreseeable long time.
