Rancang Bangun UI/UX dengan Metode Design Thinking pada Aplikasi Laundry Quick and Clean Berbasis Mobile

The purpose of this research is to develop a mobile-based laundry application with Design Thinking method and measure the level of user satisfaction through System Usability Scale (SUS) testing. As the popularity of laundry services increases, manual management becomes a significant challenge, such as inefficiency in recording and tracking orders. Therefore, this research offers an innovative solution by designing a Quick and Clean application that focuses on improving user experience (UI/UX) to simplify the management of laundry services. This research uses a Design Thinking approach that includes five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The empathize stage involved interviews with 15 laundry service users to identify key needs and problems. The define stage mapped out the functional and non-functional requirements that formed the basis of the application design. The ideate stage produced a 16-page wireframe design, while the prototype stage produced an application model with UI design using Figma. The novelty value of this research lies in the application of the Design Thinking method in the context of laundry services, which is rarely applied in similar studies, as well as the integration of UI/UX design that emphasizes ease of use and operational efficiency. SUS testing shows an average score of 85.6 which falls into the Excellent category. This result indicates that the application design not only meets user needs but also provides a satisfying experience, contributing to the development of UI/UX standards in laundry business applications. Overall, this research has made a significant impact by presenting an application model that can improve the efficiency and quality of moobile-based laundry services. And this development makes it easier for further development to develop further.

Analisis Framing Kontroversi Pada Olimpiade Paris 2024 di CNN Indonesia dan Republika

The 2024 Paris Olympics has had controversies such as a boxer suspected of being transgender taking part in the Olympics and rules prohibiting the use of the hijab for French athletes. The aim of this research is to analyze the framing of controversy at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the online media CNN Indonesia and Republika. This research uses a qualitative analysis method with Robert N Entman's framing analysis which consists of problem definition, source of the problem, moral decisions taken, and problem resolution. This research uses articles released from 18 July to 1 August 2024 on CNN Indonesia and Republika. The results of this research explain that the difference between CNN Indonesia and Republika is that CNN Indonesia tends to be neutral and provides justification for decisions taken by related parties. Meanwhile, Republika emphasized criticism and highlighted aspects of discrimination in these two issues. The difference in reporting on the controversial issue of female boxers is that CNN Indonesia is more inclined to support these athletes and the role of athletes by emphasizing personal rights that free athletes to take part in any competition, whereas in Republika they are more likely to discuss criticizing policies taken by certain authorities. On the issue of banning the use of the hijab by French Muslim female athletes, CNN Indonesia emphasized the word proselytism which France wanted to prevent and explained that the rule forbidding the use of the hijab only applies to France, while Republika explained that this rule exists because of Islamophobia and racism, thus demanding that the IOC this rule can be omitted.

The Dynamics of Ethical Leadership Enhance Customer Orientation in a Competitive Marketplace

Purpose: This study explores ethical leadership dynamics (humane, justice, and moderation leadership) that strengthen customer orientation (CO) under competition environments within Australia. This study seeks to deepen the understanding of how leadership behaviors affect CO at different stages of competitive intensity. Methods: A quantitative approach using survey data collected from 700 managers in a variety of industries in Australia. To test the hypotheses, structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed, as well as interaction analysis to assess competitive intensity as a moderator. Results: All three ethical leadership styles significantly promote CO, and moderation leadership is more significantly and positively related to CO than the other two leadership styles. The competitive intensity adds an extra layer to these effects, highlighting that competitive and dynamic contexts make leadership behaviors vital. Synergistic relationships among leadership styles, CO, and competitive intensity are illustrated in interaction plots.Novelty: Previous research examined mostly not all ethical leadership in isolation and this study integrates several ethical leadership styles to understand their collective and individual effects on CO. Moreover, this study expands understanding regarding the dynamics of leadership in the context of real-world competition by introducing competitive intensity as a contextual moderator.Implications: The study provides actionable insights for organizations seeking to develop customer-centric organizations. Leadership training programs should focus on ethical leadership behaviors, especially in highly competitive industries. On an academic front, this research fills the void in literature by showing the metanarrative of the role between ethical leadership styles and environmental aspects.

Enhancing Firm Efficiency Measurement Using DEA and Fuzzy Approaches with Integrated Corporate Social Responsibility

Purpose: We propose a new scientific approach by integrating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into the measurement of firm efficiency through a dynamic fuzzy Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) model. It aims to investigate the relationship between CSR practices and firm performance over time across industries.Findings: Higher CSR engagement companies appear to obtain better efficiency scores and show resilience when adapting to external challenges. Especially, capital-intensive industries where environmental risk is high benefit most from integrating CSR into their operational structures. The corresponding dynamic fuzzy DEA model introduced by Yang, et al. (2023) successfully analyses the non-neutrality of input metrics on CSR resilience, along with uncertainties inherent in CSR metrics, hence offering valuable insights into their industry-specific and temporal variability.Novelty: This research is the first to apply a dynamic fuzzy DEA approach to integrating CSR in terms of a key measure of firm efficiency. This study fills the gap between sustainability practices and operational performance by addressing the complexity of multifaceted impacts of CSR.Implications: These results provide practical recommendations for policy makers and managers to reflect the reconciliation of environmental or social objectives with financial performance in CSR strategies. Moreover, the methodological framework paves the way for other studies to consider dynamic and uncertain variables into efficiency measurement.

Perancangan UI/UX Aplikasi Stunting Your Buddy dengan Metode User-Centered Design

The aim of this study is to design a mobile application that can assist in handling stunting in Panjer Village, Bali. Stunting is a condition where a child cannot grow to their optimal height according to the height of a child of their age. In this digital era, education can be conducted through various platforms, such as applications that are now commonly used. Based on a field survey that has been conducted by researching the needs of users one and two, Your Buddy will be designed to help provide education for young women about stunting prevention. Furthermore, this application will serve as an intermediary for pediatric specialists to provide education regarding stunting. This research focuses on an application that will function for stunting prevention education, requiring improvements in terms of appearance (UI) and usability (UX) to make it more appealing and user-friendly. To achieve this goal, this study will utilize the User Centered Design (UCD) method. The UCD method consists of four stages: specify the context of use, specify user and organizational requirements, produce design solutions, and evaluate design against user requirements. After testing several potential users, a final SUS score of 87.5 was obtained, which falls into point B with an Excellent category. The design of the Your Buddy application is proven to have quality that meets user expectations, but in the future, it is recommended to add AI features and increase the number of respondents to expand this research.
