Abstract
Nearly 0,0 V is the most probable value of the potential Nε Fe of the zero-point of charge of iron, from the results of previous papers and measurements of capacitance/potential curves in this investigation, using the systems Fe/H 2SO 4 and Fe/HCl. The more negative minima of the capacitance/potential curves are not strictly potentials of the zero-points of charge, but correspond to potentials of non-charged surfaces, arising from adsorption of anions. The different inhibition effect of organic cations for both systems is discussed.
