Abstract

The purpose of the research work was to develop the technology of cosmetic gels from the phytocomposition extract, based on some polymer carriers and their standardization. Based on an extract obtained by maceration using 70% ethyl alcohol as a solvent, from a herbal collection consisting of rose hips, calendula flowers and rosemary herb (3.5:3.5:3), a technology has been developed for producing gels based on three different polymers (Na-alginate (composition I), PEQ 4000 (composition II) and Na-KMS (composition I). Some physical and physicochemical parameters of the obtained gels were determined (appearance, color, smell, homogeneity, asso-ciated impurities, pH, exfoliation, thermal and colloidal stability, mechanical contamination and aggregation stability). A spectrophotometric quantitative determination of the amount of flavo-noids by rutoside in the prepared gels was carried out.
