Abstract

In this study, postgraduate theses related to Iznik in the database of Higher Education Institution's National Thesis Center (YÖKTEZ) were evaluated within the framework of various parameters. In this context, the aim of the study is to reveal the general features of the theses written about Iznik, which is in the candidate process of the UNESCO World Heritage List, and to determine the studies. The pa-rameters determined are the type of thesis, the year the thesis was published, the university it was prepared for, the institute, the department / department, the branch of science / arts, the title of the consultant, the page number, language and subject of the thesis. Bibliometric analysis technique was used as a research method to reveal a general profile of postgraduate thesis studies. The information related to the obtained theses were uploaded to the statistical analysis package program, and the fre-quency and percentage analyzes of the data were made. When the theses are examined according to their types, it is determined that the master's theses are in the majority. As a result of the examinations conducted, it was observed that the theses increased in 2019 and the most theses were prepared within the body of Istanbul University and Bursa Uludağ University. Among the analyzed examples, it was determined that the most studied subjects were fine arts, architecture and art history.
