Abstract

Zina is a very important act to be avoided. God reveals the abomination of adultery; it is a deceitful deed, and when it has reached its peak, it will poison the mind. Zina is not only considered to be an offence against individuals but is also considered a criminal offence under Islamic criminal law. The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) The truth of Zina in Surah al-Isra’ verse 32, according to Tafsir Al-Jami’ Li Ahkam Al-Qur’an of al-Qurthubi. 2) There is Zina in Surah al-Isra’ ayat 32, according to Tafsir Al-Jami’ Li Ahkam Al-Qur’an by al-Qurthubi. This type of research is a library, with primary data from Tafsir Al-Jami’ Li Ahkam Al-Qur’an and secondary data from the books, journals, and inscriptions relevant to this research. The truth of the Qur'an is that the truth of Zina in Surah al-Isra' ayat 32, according to Tafsir Al-Jami' Li Ahkam Al-Qur'an of al-Qurthubi, is the word not to approach this Zina more deeply, which means strongly emphasised to be avoided because Zina is evil. In the Qur'an, it is not only physical relationships but things like holding hands, hugging, and so on, which can lead to worse deeds.
