Abstract
A number of reduced dimensional conductors, such as K 0.3MoO 3, NbSe 3, and TaS 3, exhibit collective charge density wave (CDW) transport. We report on the observation of zero-bias anomalies in the differential resistance of NbSe 3 crystals near an interface between strongly pinned and weakly pinned regions of a CDW, where current is being converted from normal metallic to CDW current. We observe a dramatic drop in zero-bias resistance, suggesting a new phase transition, when the temperature is cooled below 44 K.
