Abstract

Introduction: Health education as a young scientific discipline has a great influence and implementation in all spheres of life. Nutrition largely determines people's health, and people struggle with obesity more and more due to excessive energy intake. Improper nutrition over long distances leads to a large release of free radicals that lead to many chronic diseases. The aim of the work: To determine the knowledge of respon-dents about the importance of proper nutrition for their health. Method of work: cross-sectional study by an anonymous ques-tionnaire were examined 50 respondents in the Health Center "Kraljevo" in the period November 13.-17.th, in 2021. Results: Through investigation, we learn that 78% of respon-dents are female, 80% of respondents live in urban areas COM-pared to 20% who live in rural areas. 96% of respondents know what obesity is and 80% have had or have a problem with it. 70% of respondents skip their daily meals and 100% had some health problem in the previous year. Conclusion: We can conclude that the dominant part of the re-spondents has a problem with obesity, even though health pro-fessionals have informed them of potential problems.
