Zastosowanie licówek o minimalnie inwazyjnej preparacji „no-prep” – praca poglądowa

Abstract

Aesthetics is often the main reason for a patient to come to a dentist’s office. The desire to have a beautiful smile, with the awareness in society of the need to protect healthy tooth tissues, requires from the doctor to properly plan and carry out the treatment process. Modern dental prosthetics, should restore lost tissues, restore the function of the stomatognathic system and aesthetics, as well as follow the principles of minimal invasiveness of the procedures performed. The use of veneers in prosthetic rehabilitation allows an aesthetic reconstruction of lost, missing or discolored tooth tissues, reducing the risk of losing the tooth structure during preparation. Veneers with minimally invasive preparation i.e. no-prep are one of the possibilities of rehabilitation of patients, allowing for a satisfactory aesthetic effect with a slight reduction of tooth tissues. The use of these restorations is possible thanks to the progress made in the field of ceramics and the possibility of using thin veneers. Correct diagnostics, treatment planning, selection optimal material depending on clinical indications, precise laboratory and clinical stages of prosthetic restoration allow to achieve therapeutic success.
