Abstract

This article concerns the attitude of the Crown nobility towards the idea of an army auction during the interregnum of 1733. Based on parliamentary instructions to the convocation Sejm, an attempt was made to reconstruct the views of the Crown nobility concerning the demand to increase the armed forces of the PolishLithuanian Commonwealth. The first part of the text refers directly to the views of the Crown nobility regarding the idea of auctions, whilst the second part deals with financial issues as well as fiscal and military projects presented in the acts of the sejmiks. The article includes two charts and one table that provide a graphical presentation of the research results.
