Abstract

One of the consequences of globalization is the homogeneous of the cultures, what brings a transformation on the cultural structures. Glocalization which means meeting of global and local constitues the cultural hybridization. While globalization makes the culture and identity similar, each region makes different adaptations among its own qualities. By the hypothesis that TV programmes are the mirror of social context, Firtina is examined for determining the changes of cultural identities in Eastern Black Sea. As a conclusion of this article, cultural identities can be transformed by the global culture's effects. Increasingly, the cultures and the identities resemble each other more and more under the effect of globalization.
