Abstract
This article presents the author’s interpretation of Ang Lee’s film Life of Pi. The reflections focus on issues related to human nature and human psychology. To achieve her goals, the author follows the successive phases of the metaphorical sense of the film and explains the meaning of the particular components creating the story line. She draws conclusions and places them in the context of findings from the fields of anthropology, philosophy and psychoanalysis.
