Abstract

The purpose of study – to propose a new perception of some previous views concerning the phenomenon of the subjective reality of an individual person and analyze the role of a modern culture of television in its formation. In this article are researched the main milestones in the transformation of a person's understanding and his or her attitude to the basic existentials of their being: freedom and responsibility of the individual, free choice and the system of values, the phenomenon of consumption. Scientific novelty of this issue lies in the introduction into the philosophical categorical apparatus of a new term that can explain the key nuances of modern society, namely: "faceted reality". As a result, the fundamental foundations of today's cultural reality are revealed, especially its fragmentation and mosaicism, also key cultural and existential problems in modern society are demonstrated.
