Abstract

Solvent cast films and hot pressed pellets of BaTiO 3:PVDF composites with 70:30 weight ratios were prepared and examined via X-ray diffractometry. The X-ray diffractograms indicate that BaTiO 3 exhibits the cubic structure in the film samples, while in the hot pressed pellets, orthorhombic and tetragonal forms of BaTiO 3 coexist. Representative curves showing the effect of temperature on the dielectric constant of these composite materials are also presented.
