Abstract
Copper 2P core level X-ray photoelectron spectra on several high T c superconductors La 1.85Ba 0.15CuO 4, Y 1.2Ba 0.8CuO 4− δ and Y 0.4B 0.6CuO 4− δ oxides have been measured. The results indicate the coexistence of Cu 2+ and Cu 3+ in these compounds.
