Abstract

PrefaceThe collection of papers in this volume was presented during the XI Mexican School on Gravitation and Mathematical Physics, which was held in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, México, December 5-9, 2016. The Mexican School on Gravitation and Mathematical Physics is a series of conferences sponsored by the Mexican Physical Society that started in 1994 with the purposes of discussing and exchanging current ideas in gravitational physics. Each Mexican School has been devoted to a particular subject, and these have included supergravity, branes, black holes, the early Universe, observational cosmology, quantum gravity and numerical relativity.In this occasion the theme of the school was Quantum Gravity: schemes, models and phenomenology, which focused on the discussion of quantum aspects of gravity. Following our previous Schools, world leaders in the field were invited to give courses and plenary lectures. More specialized talks were also presented in parallel sessions, and some of them have been included in these proceedings.The contributions in this volume have been reviewed and represent some of the courses, plenary talks and contributed talks presented during our XI School.
