Abstract
AbstractAn X‐ray bond charge model is presented for the reevaluation of quasiforbidden reflections from InSb and GaAs. The bond charge is assumed to be an additional scattering centre. The matrix atoms remain spherical, but the valence orbitals are reduced by the bond charge amount. The reconstruction of the experimental structure factors measured by Bilderback is established in the same quality as his semiempirical deformation model. Further the position and the form of the bond charge can be deduced with respect to the distance between next neighbours.
