Abstract
The author of thepaper argues that the knowledge of students’ individual characteristics, which include, among others, different types of intelligence, learning styles, roles assumedduring the lesson and interests, help the teacher organize the learning process. Possessing such knowledge, teachers of Polish have the opportunity to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of their students, and then adapt the methods, techniques and forms of work organization during the lessons, as well as extracurricular activities to their needs and possibilities. The paper includes several dozen examples of instructions for students, taking into account the differences between them, based on one of the main school readings at secondary school, i.e. “The Wedding” by Stanislaw Wyspianski.
