Abstract
The article deals with the broadly defined topic of supporting the emotional and social development of children and its impact on the formation of mental resilience. The text consists of 3 parts. The first one provides an overview of the theoretical representations of key concepts such as emotional-social development and its support and mental resilience. The second part presents the results of our own research on the developmental support of young children as perceived and experienced by their care-givers. The study concludes with a summary.
