Abstract
A probabilistic crack growth model based on nonlinear damage accumulation criterion is presented. The nonlinear damage function account for the effect of loading sequence. The resulting simulation model is compared to the experimental data, and the results of an earlier linear damage model. The nonlinear damage model indicates better correlation with the experiments. It also has a better physical interpretation of the phenomenon.
